----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Exhaling softly, Mari looked at the dark haired woman. It was nice she understood. It did help her cope with her sadness. She exhaled, “I’ve just had a lot on my mind lately. Trying to get used to everything. I’m sorry to burden you with anything that is distressing. Its just so rare for me to have someone to talk to.”
She pushed a strand of hair behind her ear, her hair really was long, she kept it trimmed on the edges but she couldn’t bring herself to cut it completely. She felt like it was a tie to her past and to cut it was to recall her life as a nun. Back in the past, as a way of showing ones devotion to God nuns cut their hair as a symbol of their status. Now, that life was over and although she had not lived as a nun for a very long time she kept to the values. She tried to live a good life, it was hard, she didn’t always do what people expected and she often failed but she still tried. Her thoughts wandered as she tried to find something interesting to say, “I’m sorry I’m not an interesting person, Lenore. The things I do, the life I lead is very solitary. I’m not sure what to talk about.” She said gently.
“It will be good to meet your friend. She sounds like a nice person.” She said simply as she looked at the other woman and smiled warmly. “I look forward to meeting her. She sounds like a very nice lady.” She murmured as she tilted her head at Lenore’s offer. “We should meet somewhere to talk that is nicer, an Ihop or something casual, that way we blend in better.” She agreed as she looked at the other woman and rose.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Lenore nodded in understanding as Marina stated that she had a lot on her mind lately and that she was trying to get used to everything and that didn't mean to burden her with everything distressing, but it was the first time that she had someone to talk to. "No, I understand. It can be lonely at times," she assured her. And it was true. After all, a vampire always had to be careful when they were around people, so they---well, at least she---tended to stay away from people so that she didn't lose control, like she wanted to so often. It was hard to keep herself under control sometimes, which was why she moved around a lot. Well, at least that was part of it. Another part of it was the the reasoning she had mentioned earlier: suspicions about depleting blood bags or rising animal attacks. And yes, she meant actual animal attacks and not just what people called "animal attacks" because believe it or not, that kind of stuff did get reported after a while. Lenore watched as Marina pushed a strand of hair back. Wow. Her hair is long, she thought to herself. A part of her wondered why she didn't cut it, but ultimately decided that it wasn't any of her business. The other vampire than apologized for not being very interesting, that the things she had done had been solitary, and she wasn't sure what to talk about. "I'm sure you're not giving yourself enough credit, I'm sure a lot of things that you've done are interesting. Just tell me anything you feel comfortable about sharing with me," she responded. Yes, she wanted to know as much about Marina as she could learn, but she didn't want to make her uncomfortable. "Of course if I'm being nosy, tell me and I'll shush," she hastened to add. She then smiled as the other vampire stated that it'd be nice to meet Willow as she sounded like a nice person. "Yeah, she really is nice," she replied. Just the thought of Willow made her blush. Willow was just---she was beautiful and funny and...Okay, she needed to stop before she got distracted. Because that would really suck if Marina thought that she wasn't a good conversationalist because she was. She then nodded as the other woman stated that they should meet somewhere nicer like an IHOP so that they could blend in better. "Yes, definitely," she agreed. Besides, she kind of liked their food. It was good. -----------------------[/b][/center]

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Marina was enjoying herself with the other woman it was just that she had been alone for so long that she didn’t know how else to be. She was always running out of cool things to say and had never been much of an extrovert when it got right down to it. She always felt that she was behind the curve when it came to conversations. She wondered if that was why she wasn’t as popular as the Salvatores. They always seemed to have people around them and needing them to help with things. Mari never had anyone that needed her for anything since her family died. Inwardly she sighed and tried to shove those thoughts away. They wouldn’t do her any good.
“The only things I know are the old fashioned arts really -- Sewing, embroidery, dancing and music.” She said with a gentle shrug, “Most of the time they are pretty solitary nowadays. I like simple things. I was a nun and it kind of rubbed off. I’m always afraid I’ll have to cut and run.” She admitted softly as she looked at her and sighed, “Your life is probably gobs more interesting than mine.”
“You’re not being nosy I’m just…well boring.” She laughed self depreciatingly as she looked over at the other woman, “Did you want to head to Ihop now? I’ve got my car in the parking lot.” She offered as she gestured to the exit of the cemetery. “Might do me good to get out of this place.” She said with a soft sigh.
