Everything seemed to be going straight to hell in April’s crazy life. The Founder’s pageant was a few weeks away and she was beyond stressed out about it. She had taken Rebekah’s advice and asked Matt to be her escort for the Founder’s Dance and he was making up excuses. It was like he didn’t want to be around her without some kind of legal adult around to keep an eye on them. Since when in the hell did she need a baby sitter? Sure April may have been roughly three years younger than Matt was, but that didn’t mean that they couldn’t hang out with each other. She was old enough to make her own choices as to who she wanted to date even if they were older than her.

April reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone and saw she had a text message from Rebekah asking her if she was busy because she needed talk to her. She texted Rebekah back telling her to come over to her house and they could talk. She pulled her hair back in a ponytail and put on her flip-flops and looked out the window and saw Rebekah’s car pull up into the yard. She walked downstairs and went to open the door. “Come on in,” she said, inviting Rebekah into her house (not knowing that vampires had to be invited into one’s home before they could enter). “You picked a very good time to come over with boy trouble,” she teased as she went into the kitchen to make her some tea and set out two cups. “So you go first and tell me what’s up.”

Rebekah had been having a pretty horrible day. Noah's sister, whom Rebekah accidentaily turned like 100 years ago came into town demanding to see Noah. Rebekah did the only thing she could, and that was reunite them. Both of them seemed quite upset towards her and she ran away and ran home and to her room and cried.

She remained there for 3 hours balling her eyes out eventually she texted April who invited her over. Rebekah whipped the tears from her face and went into the bathroom to wash her face off. Deciding her face was ok, she went downstairs and got into her car and drove straight to Aprils house.

Lucky for Rebekah, April invited her right in, which Rebekah just didn't feel like trying to explain to April why vampires had to be invited into homes right now. Rebekah sat down at the counter top and sighed as April made her some tea. "Oh April I messed up, Noah hates me!" Rebekah managed to say before breaking out into tears ago.

She was lucky she had her best friend to care for her, otherwise Rebekah might just decide to stop caring and turn her emotions off, which would be bad news for almost everyone. Still she considered it and almost did it, but hoped April would talk her off the ledge. "Oh April, what am I gonna do, he will never speak to me again!" Rebekah said between sobs.

She was afraid of Noah hurting her, but all along, she ended up hurting herself. She could hear Nik's voice in her head right now. 'The girl who loved to easily, the silly silly stupid sad girl.' She began sobbing really hard now. Rebekah for once didn't know what to do, she just drank the tea and gasped, dropping the cup to the floor.

"Vervain!" She said, it burned her throat. Lucky for her she was an original so the effects didn't last long. She looked at April. "You supply of tea is laced with vervain." Rebekah said to her, she knew April wouldn't do it to her intentionally, in fact, she doubted April knew what vervain did to vampires. "I'm... all vampires don't like vervain, it hurts us." She said to her.

Rebekah wondered why her tea had vervain in it and realized that April's father probably knew about vampires. She scoffed to herself, she had bigger problems.

April listened to Rebekah as she spoke about what had happen with Noah. She wrapped her arms around her and hugged her. "I am so sorry to hear that, but I'm sure that Noah doesn't hate you," she said as she stroked her hair as she hugged her. She watched Rebekah as she drank some of the tea and dropped the cup to the floor and said that it had vervain in it. Of course her father likely spiked everything with vervain. Of course April wouldn't have known the difference because humans can't taste the vervain unless they are some kind of supernatural creature. "I am so sorry, Rebekah, I honestly didn't know," she said. "I would never do anything to hurt you."

April thought for a moment. "If Noah really cares about you he will forgive you for what you had done to his sister in the past," she said. "Things haven't really been going my way with Matt either. I screwed up." She finished drinking her tea and she sighed softly as she took a deep breath. "I asked him out just like you suggested and then he started making excuses and I think I may have made things worse."

April tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. It seemed like both girls were having boy troubles. April wasn’t the best when it came to guys so she didn’t know how much help she would be in the matter with Rebekah, but she knew that she could help Rebekah maybe fix her relationship with Noah and his sister.

"You didn't see the look on his face when he found out what I did." Rebekah said, holding back tears. Yeah, sure Noah still loved her, yeah right. Rebekah wouldn't even love Rebekah right now if she were in Noah's shoes, so she expected it to be fully over, though she didn't want it to be over, she wanted it to last forever.

"I know it wasn't you that put it in there." Rebekah said with a smile. "I know you would not try to hurt me." Rebekah added, though it was true, and she knew it wasn't April, she still didn't like it that much. Because if her father knew about vampires and clearly didn't like them, then that made him an enemy.

So Rebekah not liking Aprils father was bad for their friendship. Rebekah decided not to dwell on it, she was to worried about Noah anyways. "I think he cares about me, but this is just something that is hard to forgive for." Rebekah replied, she looked down at the broken glass on the floor and bent down and began picking it up.

"I'm sorry about Matt. You want me to talk to him? I can be your wing girl." Rebekah said with a smile looking up at April and not paying attention to the glass and she cut her hand wide open without even knowing it. Rebekah looked at the blood coming out of her hand and watched as it healed quickly. "Sorry, I am just making a bigger mess." Rebekah said with a giggle.

"Matt will come around, if he is to blind to see that you are great then that is his problem." Rebekah added, trying to cheer her friend up, at least April still had a shot with Matt, Rebekah had all but given up on her relationship with Noah, there was no way he would forgive for what she did, and though April was sweet and said thew young work it out in the end, Rebekah wasn't so sure herself.

April listened to Rebekah as she talked and hugged her again when she got upset. "I'm sure Noah will understand if you just explain to him and tell him that you didn't mean to turn his sister," she said as she let Rebekah go. She smiled softly. It seemed like they all were having boy drama today. She flushed when Rebekah offered to talk to Matt for her. "Would you?" she asked as she brightened up. "Maybe I can talk to Noah's sister for you maybe she will understand why and forgive you."

She brightened up when Rebekah offered to talk to Matt for her and that she would be her wing girl. "Would you?" she asked raising her eyebrow up in relief. "That would mean the world to me if you would do that for me and I would offer to talk to Noah but I really suck at talking to guys," she said blushing slightly.

April sighed softly as she ran her fingers through her hair. "Do you want to go out and do something?" She paused for a moment. "Like go to the mall and have some more girl time. We can get you something sexy to make Noah's mouth drop." April couldn't help but grin widely at the idea. "We so need to double date because I suck so much at this," she replied with a giggle. She did like Matt a lot and wanted so bad for Matt to like her back. Why did life have to be so complicated with guys?

"Thanks April." Rebekah said, feeling a little better. But talking to Noah wasn't gonna be the only thing she would have to do to win him back. She knew it was gonna be way harder then that, that was just fact. But Rebekah wouldn't give up that easily, she was never one to give up just like that.

"Of course April, I would love to talk to Matt, though I don't know how much he will listen to me." Rebekah stated the sad truth. Matt didn't really like her all that much, or at least he acted like he didn't, that is why Rebekah went into the arms of Noah in the first place, because Matt rejected her, not that Noah wasn't awesome, she loved Noah.

Rebekah smiled. "Yes some girl time and a sexy outfit to help win Noah back is just what the doctor ordered." Rebekah said with a chuckle. She really enjoyed having a best friend, someone she could come to for stuff like this. She never really had one the last 1000 years or so, so it was refreshing. Her brothers never seemed to understand.

They just called her a silly love struck little girl. And maybe she was, but April understood and treated her good. "April...I'd do anything for you, you know that right?" Rebekah said, placing her hand on Aprils hand in a friendly manor. April was her best friend, and really, right now her only friend.

"Yeah, lets go to the mall!" Rebekah said with a smile, she needed some serious shopping therapy with her BFF.

April smiled when she saw Rebekah’s face light up when she agreed to go shopping with her. She didn’t like seeing people sad. “Shopping is always the best medicine,” she replied smiling. They could both use some girl time seeing how both of them were having problems with the guys they liked. Why did guys have to be so complicated? It seemed like they should have come with instruction manuals on how they operated or how to talk to them.
Once April finished drinking her tea, she grabbed both cups and put them in the sink and washed them and put them in the drain board. She really should get a place of her own. She had money saved up and could get a job to help pay for her own apartment. Why was she thinking about this now? She shook her head and walked over to grab her purse and car keys. “Let’s do this,” she said as she smiled as she grabbed Rebekah’s hand and led the way to her truck and started it up.
Once Rebekah got inside the car, she backed out of the driveway and started to drive. “I’ve been thinking about getting my own place since my father isn’t around much nowadays,” she said as she turned on the radio. “I have my own money saved up and I can always get a job to help pay for it,” she added as she put on her sunglasses to shield her eyes from the sun as she drove them down to the mall.

"So I have heard." Rebekah replied to April about shopping being the best therapy. She remembered now vividly her first day un-daggered with Stefan and Nik. They took her shopping cause she was wearing clothes from the 1920s still. The music was horrible, the clothes looked like prostitutes were them, and Nik was clearly annoyed by her. On top of that, Stefan didn't like her any more.

But it was different with April. April took her to great stores, had great taste in stores and music, and she never had to listen to that crappy "dance" music ever again. So when April pulled her behind her outside to her car, Rebekah didn't struggle. She giggled as they got into the car and April turned on the radio. Yeah it wasn't as good as the music in the roaring 20s, but it was better then what they listened to in that "trendy store" that day she woke up.

"You should, it would be so awesome." Rebekah said to her, she liked the idea of being able to go over to see April whenever she wanted was so amazing to Rebekah. She then got a thought, she really didn't want to stay in Niks house anymore, cause he can come home at any moment. "What if... I moved in with you?" Rebekah asked her, with a soft smile, they basically could have sleep overs every night, it would be so much fun.

"Its ok if you don't want me to, I understand." Rebekah said, she knew April would probably get tired of being friends with her and leave. Everyone got tired of Rebekah and everyone left her, so she didn't know how long that would last with April, still, she offered, it would be fun in her mind, plus her family had plenty of money, so she could help pay the rent and stuff.

April got into her truck and started it up and listened to Rebekah as she talked. She was so happy to have Rebekah as her friend. [/color] she said as she backed her truck out of the driveway and drove them to the mall. She turned the radio on so they could cruise to some Bog Seger Old Time Rock N Roll.

"I love this song," she replied with a smile as she listened to Rebekah talk and mention about living with her. "Really you want to live with me?" she asked as she looked at her and smiled. It would be nice to have someone living with her and to protect her from unwanted guest. "I would love for you to move in with me, but first I have to find a house that isn't too close to home. I have money saved up so I can start looking." She thought for a moment and a sly smile formed on her face. "I know the perfect outfit we can get you at Holister," she said as she smiled. "It will totally win any guy's attention and that's all I'm going to say about it." she said smiling widely. She couldn't wait to take Rebekah shopping tonight. They were going to have a great time.

"If you say so." Rebekah said. She didn't like shopping in general but April made it worth her time. Rebekah shrugged. "Just had a really bad shopping experience with my brother and my ex boyfriend a few months back." Rebekah mentioned shuddering at the mention of that day. It probably wasn't as bad as she remembered, but she had just woken up after 90 years of being daggered and was already in a pissy mood.

Still, it was horrible. Rebekah smiled at the song April was playing. "Not as good as the music from the 20s, but its really good." Rebekah replied,it sure as hell was a lot better then that crappy dance music they were playing in that store. She smiled at April. "I wish you were around back then, it was an amazing time, you would of loved it." Rebekah said to her with a giggle.

"Yeah sure, it would be fun. We could basically have sleepover every day." Rebekah said with a laugh. It was true, she really did think it would be fun and April was one of the few people that actually seemed to like her right now. Noah and Elizabeth probably hated her, Caroline, Elena and all of those people really didn't talk to her much and when they did, they didn't get along. Not even the Salvatore brothers seemed to care. Worst of all was her brother, Nik.

April seemed to like her, despite what and who she was. April even knew some of the messed up things she did and the girl still got along with her. April was really forgiving like that. Which is another reason that Rebekah wanted to move in with her. "I can help you look, if you like. But I don't know anything about modern housing." Rebekah said with a laugh.

"That would be awesome right now, Noah's jaw needs to hit the floor when he sees me." Rebekah replied to April. She could imagine the look on Noah's face and then him taking her in his arms and having his way with her. She giggled at the thought. She was trying to be really good right now for Noah, she would probably wig out if he dumped her for good.

"I know so," April replied as she grinned widely at Rebekah as she pulled down Hollywood Avenue. "Oh? Well we're going to have a little fun and go to this awesome ice cream palara at the mall," she added.

Oh yes April knew how to have to fun regardless of what was going on. She wanted to have fun with Rebekah and today she was going to do exactly that. "What was it like in the 20's?" she asked as she parked her truck in the parking lot and unbuckled as she grabbed her purse and got out. "It must have been magical."

April heard her phone viberate in her pocket and she noticed it was her father and she sighed softly. "Sure you can help me look for a house," she said nodding her head. "This is going to be so great." She grabbed Rebekah's hand and led her inside the mall and led the way to Hoilster where they had a sexy blue dress. "I came here the other day and saw this and thought it would be perfect for you," she said as she pulled the dress off the rack and gave the dress to her. "Go try on the dress now missy," she teased as she found a pair of ear rings with little diamonds on them and a wide smile spread across her face as she handed them to Rebekah. “There is no way that Noah can resist that outfit,” she said with a giggle.

"Ice cream... yeah I can use some ice cream right about now." Rebekah replied with a smile. After all that was happening around her with her brother and Elena and the Salvatore brothers and Noah and Lizzie, it was nice to have someone that didn't completely hate her in April. April also seemingly knew how to make Rebekah feel better. Rebekah supposed that that was what a best friend was for, to be there for you when you fall, but Rebekah never had a best friend before.

"The 20s were amazing." Rebekah said to her with a smile. "There was dancing and fun outfits and amazing parties every day. The music, real dance music, not the crap now a days. And people knew what they wanted back then, and everything was so simple." Rebekah said, she probably could of gone on for hours and hours, but she really loved the 1920s, partially cause she met Stefan back then, but there were other reasons. She didn't think life now a days was as good as it was back then.

Before Rebekah knew it they were at the mall and April was leading her to the store. Rebekah kinda wanted the ice cream right now instead of the dress, but she decided that she will try on the dress first. "Yes, it is lovely, but its gonna take a lot more then a sexy dress to win him back after what I did." Rebekah said as she went to try it on. She pulled the blue dress up her body and looked in the mirror. It did look really awesome on her and Noah would love it, but still, a dress compared to hurting his baby sister?

She came out of the dressing room to show April her dress. "What do you think?" Rebekah asked with a smile. She just needed a pair of matching blue heels and she would look amazing.

April smiled at Rebekah and watched as Rebekah waltz out of the dressing room and then smiled at her. “Wow! You look amazing,” she replied as she walked around Rebekah a to get a better view of the dress from behind. The blue dress looked absolutely stunning on her and it brought out the color of her eyes with the fake little diamonds in it. “If that doesn’t get Noah’s attention I don’t know what will to be honest with the exception of maybe seeing you in a sexy lingerie,” she replied as she giggled and noticed Rebekah narrowing her eyes at her slightly. “I’m kidding so please don’t bite me,” she pleaded playfully as she winked at Rebekah and walked over towards the big table that had a rack of shoes on them that were on sale and found a soft pair that were made out of velvet material and matched the dress perfectly. “I love these shoes,” she said as she handed them to her. “I hope they also fit,” she added as she watched Rebekah try them on.
“Now the only thing left to do is get you some earrings and a necklace,” she said with a wide grin spreading across her face as she grabbed Rebekah’s hand and led her to the ice cream shop. “First we are going to get some ice cream,” she said as she lead Rebekah to a table and smiled as she ordered herself a chocolate ice cream cone.

"Thanks." Rebekah said with a small grin. She looked herself in the mirror and she had to admit that she looked pretty hot. "Yeah, or if he sees me nude." Rebekah said to April with a little bit of a giggle. Though Noah had seen Rebekah nude already, she knew he enjoyed what she had going on. She winked at April with a smile and looked at a red dress. She went up to it and grabbed it looking it over. She smiled and handed it to April with a chuckle. "Try this on, this will get Matt's motor going." Rebekah said to her best friend April with a wink.

She took the shoes with a smile and tried them all. Rebekah was surprised that they fit perfectly. She didn't want to guess rather or not the store had them in her size, which was probably a no. She reentered the changing room and took the dress and shoes off and put her normal clothes back on and took the stuff to pay for it. As soon as she was done paying and the lady handed her the bag with her new clothes in it, April began pulling her off toward the ice cream shop. Rebekah smiled at her. "Fine... I just hope Noah forgives me." She replied to the girl.

Rebekah decided to just order the same that April had ordered. She began licking on it with a grin as they sat down at a table. "Did the red dress fit you?" Rebekah asked her between licks. She knew Matt would go crazy for that outfit if he saw April in it. Rebekah was suddenly more determined then ever to win Noah back and be with him again.

April rolled her eyes playfully at Rebekah’s comment about Noah seeing her nude. Leave it her to mention something like that. “I’m sure you took his breath away,” she said as she stuck out her tongue at her and giggled. April did enjoy teasing Rebekah that it was almost contagious sometimes. The two were like sisters in some ways but made the perfect pair when it came to best friends. April took the red dress that Rebekah found and went to try it on and it fit her perfectly showing off all her curves and whatnot. “I’m sure this will definitely get his attention,” she said as she stepped out of the dressing room and stood in the red dress. “Honestly I suck at the hole dating couple thing.” April smiled when she saw her reflection in the mirror and twirled around in her dress. She liked the way it felt on her body and noticed it showed off her curves and her cleavage very well.
“Geeze Bekah if I wanted a corset dress I would have asked for one,” she teased as she ran her hands over the dress. “How do I look? Do you think this dress really would get Matt’s attention?” she asked as she started to ramble as she thought about her conversation at the Grill. She had made a big mess and spilled her coffee and Matt ended up having to be the one to clean it up for her and she blushed deeply as she thought back to that day at the Grill.
