- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -8:00pm and still no vampires. It was getting quite frustrating for the blonde slayer who had been walking around for the last hour to not have run into one single vampire. She had made plans to meet up with Satsu at 10:00 and had also given the same message to Spike and Faith who hadn't called her back. She hoped that Satsu wouldn't be too mad at her if Spike and Faith happened to show up later but she figured she would at least give them the invite. She hadn't gotten to really patrol or even talk to either of them recently as she'd been so bogged down with work and the several potentials that had come through her doors the past couple of weeks. Most of them hadn't been from around Virginia but had stopped there for a couple of days to meet her before heading to Rome.
Sitting against a headstone that was adjacent to a freshly dug grave, she swung her legs back and forth, hearing her boots lightly knocking against the marble headstone. For someone else this might be something that they felt bad about, but she had gotten used to doing things such as this in cemeteries and really didn't think about it anymore. Not only that but after being brought back to life herself she knew that these graves simply housed bodies...souls nor personalities were anywhere near them, so why should she feel bad about it? Maybe this was rude, but that was just how she felt.
She looked over her shoulder quickly as she heard a twig snap but didn't see anything, though she knew well enough to know that this didn't mean much. Standing up she dusted off her dark blue skinny jeans, before looking down at her plain black top, making sure she didn't have anything on her. She knew that while most slayers (with the exception of her and Faith) were taught to patrol in normal workout clothes, she had never been one to do so. Sure every once in awhile she walked around in comfortable clothes, but for the most part she wore every day things to do even the most routine patrols.
Hearing another twig snap her head snapped up and before she knew what was going on she felt herself being thrown through the air, landing on her back with a thud. Groaning she looked up and saw two vampires, one on either side. "Alright, you guys couldn't have come when I was actually paying attention?" She asked them rhetorically, not really expecting an answer. She wasn't given one either as she jumped up, kicking the one on the left in the face while delivering a swift uppercut to the one on the right. Eh, beggars couldn't be choosers.
The fight was quick, over before she could really get into it. Looking down she bit back a groan as she noted that her shirt was torn. Well, that ended tonight’s patrol…at least for the moment. It took her all of about fifteen minutes to make her way back to the boarding house and once she got in she immediately headed upstairs to find something else to wear.

--------------------------------
The more time passed, the more Faith started to feel like she actually belonged here which was a bit strange for her but she was actually not only getting used to it but she was also enjoying it. She really did believe that these people were her friends and that they cared for her. She had tried her best to make things right. she knew that there was no way to erase the awful things she had done but she was not the same person she had been before. Faith had learned from her mistake and was working really hard to be a better person. And she was pretty sure she had managed to be. Sitting down on her motel room bed, Faith felt like it was really time for her to move on. If she wanted to be part of the gang for real, maybe it would be good for her to live with them, she had done it before back in Sunnydale but when they had moved here, she had went straight to get herself a motel room. But she was actually getting somewhat lonely.
Of course she would never say this. If someone was to ask her, she would most likely say that she wanted to move in because she wanted to be closer to the action and if they ever needed her help she would be there. There was only one person who could help her with this and that person was Buffy. Buffy was the one who Faith felt had to give the okay for her to come live with them. She was unsure if her fellow slayer was on patrol tonight though she was pretty sure the answer was yes. Still the dark hair slayer figured she would give it a try and simply show up at the boarding house. Someone would be able to tell her where she could find Buffy or if Xander was around she could hang out with him until Buffy came back. The idea of hanging out with Xander actually brought a smile to her lips which was clearly not something that was usual.
Faith who walked everywhere, walked from her tiny motel room over to the boarding house. Maybe eventually she would get a car or something. Or maybe she would get a motorcycle. She had drove one before and she had loved how she felt on it, maybe this was what she needed to get. But first thing first. The place, getting a place was what she needed to focus on. Once she was in front of the boarding house she cleared her throat and knocked on the door. She was sure that someone was home so soon enough someone would let her in. There were a lot of people living in the boarding house, it was clear someone would open the door. She simply hoped that she was not going to have to deal with a potential or someone like that. She had always felt like they were far too hyper for her liking.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -It didn’t take her long before she was in her room and stripping her clothing off, wanting nothing more than to wash away the grime of the day. Her shower was quick as it was the third one she had taken today (one before work and one before patrol) but it still felt heavenly to get the dirt and ash off of her body. She had always had an issue with vampires ashing everywhere when they died, but then again it was less of a hassle than a dead demon as at least she didn’t have to bury the body, burn the body or anything else that was an even bigger pain in the ass.
Stepping out of the shower she rifled through her clothing before settling on comfort rather than looks. She figured that since Spike nor Faith had gotten back to her and Satsu would have to come here first as she had noticed when she walked by her room that all of her patrol gear was still there that she would just wait for the other woman to get here and they would either go together or skip patrol tonight. That was one of the few reasons she was glad of having the other slayers around. She didn't feel as guilty about not going out all night every night. Well, she still felt guilty, but just as much as she had in the past.
Quickly sliding on a pair of black yoga pants that had a fold over on the top that was in a aqua blue, she paired them with a white UCLA shirt that she had bought on sale a year or so ago. The blue almost matched the blue on the pants so it worked out well. She debated whether throwing a sweat shirt on but then a mischievous look settled over her face and after quickly brushing her hair and putting it in a messy bun she made her way down to the basement and snuck into Angel's room. She could hear Kathy's TV on and upon peeking inside saw that the young girl was out so she shut off the TV, making a mental note to talk to her about letting her know when she went somewhere.
Making her way towards the other room she slipped in and rifled through his closet, finding a large blue sweater that as she inhaled she could smell his cologne on. She smiled happily and slid it over her small frame, laughing at the way that it hung off of her. It had been two months since Angel had left to go take an essential part of Glory's body away from Virginia and while she was worried sick about him she knew thanks to their connection that he was alright.
She briefly considered just staying down there immersed in Angel’s things but figured that she’d rather the next time she spent the night in his room for him to be in it too so she made her way up the stairs though a knock on the door stopped her from going any further. She walked towards it and upon opening it furrowed her brow. “Faith? Why the heck are you knocking?” She asked, moving out of the way and motioning for her to come in. “You know you are always welcome. Why you’re even in a hotel I don’t even know.” She stated with a laugh. “What’s up?”

--------------------------------
For a moment Faith felt as if it might have simply been better for her to simply turn around and leave. She didn’t want to have to deal with the fact that maybe Buffy would say no. Tell her it would be better if she didn’t stay here, that she was not welcome. She knew it was a silly fear; the two of them had become friends even with their differences. They had both grew up so much since the first time they had meet. Faith had learned to actually deal with the demon she had been fighting instead of running from them and causing more trouble. Because in the end it had been how she had caused so much trouble.
But it was part of the past and now Faith had decided to fight the good fight. It didn’t mean that she followed all the rules, she was still the same girl she had been before and that meant that she still made mistakes and was still rather reckless. She had learnt a lot about herself but she also knew that she had a lot to learn about herself. but then again that was pretty much the case for everyone wasn’t it? She simply had more issues than most people had to deal with but she was working on them thanks to Angel.
It made her wonder how Buffy was dealing with Angel being so far away. He was coming back but having him around, often reminded Faith how far she had come along, he had been the one to really be there to help her when she had figured that no one else would. She knew that she had other people that cared for her but Angel would always have a special place in her heart. Not like the love he and Buffy shared but another type of love, like brotherly love or something like this. Whatever it was they shared a strong bond.
Finally the door open and it forced Faith to start thinking about other things. She could not help but laugh. “well noted for last time.” She said as she walked in. She had not been in this place lately. She turned to look back at Buffy once the door was closed behind them. “so by the look of what you are wearing I’m going to guess that you are not patrolling tonight.” She pointed out. Not that it really mattered. It would be easier to have the conversation when they here than if they were fighting some vampires.
“well I was in my motel room and realised how boring it is and how much I’m starting to hate it there and figured I would ask you if it was okay for me to crash here instead.” She told her awkwardly before walking over to the living room so they could finally sit down. It would make the whole thing less formal and awkward.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She snickered at the comment about patrolling and shook her head. “Nope, I already did a quick sweep and nothing was going on other than a couple routine vampires so I figured there are enough of us out there tonight that I could make it a short night and come snuggle in Angel’s clothing without him knowing about it.” She told her with a wink. “Then again, I’ll probably fall asleep and wake up two or three hours before sunrise and go make another sweep or two. I seem to not be able to sleep more than a few hours at a time these days if I know there is work to be done. A long way from what I used to be like let me tell you.”
She rolled her eyes at her sister slayer before grabbing her arm and dragging her into the kitchen with her, essentially shoving her in a chair and then grabbing two sodas and handing one to her. “Faith, the fact that you even stayed at the hotel to begin with was ridiculous in everyone’s opinion, not just mine. So you are more than welcome to stay here. If you want I’ll go change clothes really quick and I’ll help you bring your stuff over. We’ve got an extra bedroom upstairs that’s not being used so you’re good to go.” She told her before figuring she would bring up her plan for the immediate future.
“I’m also thinking of talking to Giles in the next few weeks and either building another house on this large property or the apartment complex that I’ve got my apartment in is actually for sale and I’m thinking of having the Watcher’s Council buy it that way those of us who are old enough to have our own places can have our own apartments or apartments with someone else but still be a part of the group and the younger girls and their watchers can stay at the boarding house. It’s still not decided yet but I am planning on talking to Giles about it as this place does tend to get a bit cramped when a couple girls at a time come to stay with us for a few weeks before going to Rome.” She told her before motioning with her hand. “Ideas?” She asked curiously, wondering what her true sister slayer thought about it.
“I know that I enjoy having my own space while still being a part of the group so I figured this might be the best thing for everyone, but I want people’s opinions before I talk to Giles about it.”

--------------------------------
“yeah seems like the vamps are rather quiet this week.” Faith said. she didn’t really mind, it was great to have a break every once in while but at the same time to her it only meant that something bad was about to happen and things were far too quick to change. There was no way that things were going to stay quiet forever. They never did and to Faith it only meant that this was the calm before the storm. Faith rolled her eyes slightly as Buffy said she was going to snuggle into Angel’s clothing. “you know he is going to be able to smell you on his clothes when he comes back and he will know that you have been in those clothes right?” Faith said with a laugh. It was actually kind of cute the way Buffy was, forever in love with Angel and still missing him. “he will be back soon don’t worry about it.” Buffy already knew that but Faith felt like her friend could use the small reminder.
Faith let Buffy drag her to the kitchen though she was not sure how she felt about the whole thing. “sodas? What are we 12?” Faith asked with a smirk on her lips before opening the can of pop. But Faith was actually thankful for the can of pop because as she took a sip out of it, it hide the smile she was having. While she had doubted that Buffy would have told her to stay at the motel it was nice to know that other people were thinking the same thing. She would not say it but she did appreciate it. “wow you sure want me here fast B. is there something I should know?” Faith asked. Was there something going on that was the reason for all the rush or maybe it really was just that Buffy wanted her around because she felt that it was the place where Faith needed to be.
“but yeah I could move in soon. I mean its not like anyone is going to miss me back at the motel.” She told her with a shrug. Faith though for a moment. “I think it would be a good idea I mean we would still have the boarding house for the next end of the world so we can all camp together again but I have to admit I would much rather have my own apartment than living here. not that this is not a nice place to live and all but really you and I both know I don’t really place that well with others.” Faith had to admit. She would be fine here for a while but she knew she would also be better if she was on her own, or somewhat on her own. “well it could work but I think one of us should stay here. I mean take rounds around here. the girls could use a slayer around to help them.” They could use a mentor. “I think maybe you and I should start it and eventually bring Satsu and Sarah into it if they want to help…”
Faith drank more of her soda. “I think it could be a good idea. It would give us the space we sometimes need and yet always have this place we can regroup…”

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She nodded with a shrug. “No idea where they’ve been. Then again when I was in Mystic Falls a few days ago they were out in full force so maybe they realized that Richmond is chock full of slayers and headed for the hills, or at least to the next town over.” She stated with a furrowed brow. It would make sense but if that was the case then she needed to get a few slayers trained and moved over to mystic Falls as she couldn’t patrol both towns every night and still function on a basic human level enough to go to work.
She laughed at Faith’s comment about Angel smelling his clothes. “That is if he ever gets this back. It’s really comfortable. Besides what’s he going to do, scold me because I stole a sweatshirt? Do you know how many of that man’s jackets I’ve gotten over the years? I promise he kept a leather store in business the first two years I knew him just because I would take his jackets all the time and you know Angel, he’s got to have a leather jacket in his possession.” She told her with a shake of her blonde head. Yes, she had an addiction to Angel’s clothing, what could she say?
“Nope, we are not twelve, what we, or should I say what I am is tired, which means caffeine. However if you want some booze you can find the key there.” She stated, pointing to a fake statue that actually had a false bottom. It was a statue of the Eifel Tower that she and Willow had bought in Rome and then later learned it had a false bottom. They placed it in the kitchen when they had moved there in order to lock the liquor up. “We have underage potential slayers running around this place, the liquor had to be locked up in a safe place away from girls with a high alcohol tolerance.” She told her with a laugh.
She opened her own soda and shook her head after taking a sip. “No, just it would be nice to have someone else around here that could help me train the girls. With Spike sort of MIA, Angel gone off to wherever he went to deal with Glory’s torso, which yes I realize how weird that sounds, so it’s really only me here trying to train the girls. Satsu is busy with Sarah though luckily Sarah will be done with training fairly soon which means we’ll have both of them around but until then, just me.” She told her sister slayer.
She was more than a little relieved to hear Faith say that she was down with the Boarding Apartments which is what she had been calling them in her head. “I’ll call Giles up and talk to him tomorrow. I know that Willow would most likely like her own place and so would Xander. The complex that I’ve been looking at has a couple different buildings and from what I was able to see the complex is fairly new. The apartment I have over there is fairly nice for the most part. Sure they could use a tiny bit of updating but they aren’t bad…and it would give us more room to store things in and such. I’ll call him tomorrow.” She continued before taking another sip of her soda.
“So what’s going on in the wonderful world of Faith and all that?”

“well you would think they would be smart enough to go somewhere else I mean do they really think we are not going to follow them?” Faith asked raising an eyebrow. “All towns around here appear to be super small so it should not take us long to get there. Maybe once Sarah is more trained and can ask Satsu and her to keep an eye on the other town, Mystic Falls. With four slayers it would kind of be a waste to put us on patrol at the same place don’t you think?” and the town really was not that far so the girls could still stay at the boarding house or something like that. They didn’t have to fully move to the other town. Just patrol over there would most likely be enough for the moment.
“seriously you have been stealing his clothes since you guys got together right?” Faith asked with a small laugh. It was not something she had ever done before but then again she had never had the kind of love that Buffy and Angel had. While it was not perfect and they were not the poster child couple of perfect relationship whatever it was between them worked and they made it work no matter how much it sometimes hurt and how hard it was. They relationship worked against all odds and even if Faith had tried to break them apart some time ago, she was actually happy for them.
“vampires and leather. Not that I can’t really relate.” She said with a shrug. Faith had lost count of how many leather jacket she owned. They were comfortable and of course looked hot. Faith turned herself around slightly so she could looked at the statue. “so we are hiding keys now…” she said with a smirk. Faith of course would have most likely let the girls decide for themselves if they wanted to drink or not. But then again Faith had also decided to bring them to the Bronze back in the day when they were underage. It was not that she didn’t care about the girls or if they got into trouble, it was just that herself and Buffy didn’t see things the same way and most of the time Faith was not really thinking before acting.
“well then you know that if I was doing you a favor there is no way I could say no right…” Faith said with a smirk almost as if it was Buffy who was really asking her to move in and not Faith that had asked to move in. “yeah I can move in tonight.” Faith shrugged. “I still have a week at the motel but it’s not like I’m going to miss the place or anything like that.” Really she could not ait to finally be out of that motel room. She had been okay with it right up until she had gotten the okay to actually leave it and now she wanted nothing more than to be out.
“how is Giles doing anyway? Where is he?” Faith never really kept up with the wareabouts of people but she blamed this mostly on the fact that she was so far away from everyone but perhaps it was time for her to really get involved. She was moving in, and she was going to help out in different ways that she was already doing so it was best for her to really know what was going on. “I really doubt that it’s going to be worst than what I have at the motel Buffy.” Faith reminded her with a smile. “Really I think it’s going to be great.”
What was new in her world? A whole lot of nothing that was what. Well there was Xander but Faith didn’t really want to talk about this right now. “oh you know same old same old…what about you? Any news from Angel?”

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She laughed with a roll of her hazel eyes. “You know I stopped questioning the smarts of demons and most vampires long ago…all it does is make me lose faith in mankind since vampires started out as humans and demons…they just don’t get it. Why try to end the world? Do they really think that the slayers are going to allow that to happen? I used to sit around at night in Sunnydale and just constantly question why vampires flocked to the Hellmouth…it wasn’t like they didn’t know there was at least one slayer there…so what was the purpose other than to get themselves killed?” She asked, remembering all the times she had questioned it.
“Now of course the older vampires who have lasted a few hundred years or so are a lot trickier. I know why they flock to where the slayer was. Think about Spike for a minute. He killed slayers in his past and he did it because of the thrill. Most older vampires who seek out the slayer are like that, they do it because they want the earn the title of slayer killed or whatever other lame name they would come up with. However most of the other ones steer clear of the slayer because they are smart enough to know that slayers mean power and it could easily be the end of them.” She told her sister slayer, remembering a conversation with Spike a few years before about why slayers died and how he had killed the ones he had.
“I’m definitely considering having another apartment complex in Mystic Falls. The real estate here is crazy cheap and I can guarantee that Sarah and Satsu both plan on getting jobs once things settle down with training so they could always pay rent and it just go towards the buying of the apartment complex though I’m really not worried about it. I don’t want the other girls to have to worry about jobs and such. It was always the councils job to help their slayer survive but because you and I are apparently the bad seeds we were never given that help, which is the reason Giles does what he can to help now.” She told her before realizing she had gone on a tangent and went back to her original thought. However I do plan on having Sarah and Satsu or me and Satsu or someone and someone going to Mystic Falls and staying there for awhile to spread the word so to speak that the slayer is around.” She replied.
“I never really stole his clothing so to speak back when we were together, it was more he would let me borrow a jacket and I’d never give it back. I was never open enough to steal a shirt of his or anything though there were definitely days I wish I could have. Even the night that…” She stated but trailed off, not wanting to discuss the night that she lost her virginity with Faith. “Let’s just say that the few nights I spent the night in his clothes, I always put mine back on the next day.”
“Let’s go grab your stuff and move it in now while we are alone. If we wait too much longer we’ll get bombarded with something to do.” She told her, not bothering to change before heading out the front door. “As for Angel, nope, haven’t heard a word. I’m hoping no news is good news but then again with Angel who knows.”

--------------------------------
“well most humans are not smart so I guess that being a vampire does not really have anything to do with this.” Or maybe when they were first changed their mind was altered as well. Could be a soulless thing. It would explain why Angel was not as stupid as the rest of them. It actually kind of made sense. “maybe our souls is what makes us smart and well these vampire lost it.” Faith said figuring she would share her theory with Buffy. Maybe the blonde one would be able to either add to it or tell her she was completely wrong. They had both been around vampires for so long, but Buffy knew them well in a different light.
“yeah I guess some of them do learn no to mess with slayers. Most likely why they have managed to stay alive for so long.” Faith said. of course there was also the fact that a few of them were on the safe list. The vampires they were not allowed to kill or something silly like that. Okay so not killing Angel was not silly Faith knew first hand that he was part of the good guys. But he was part of the few that Faith though should lived. She was not going to go against what Buffy had asked of her and she was not going to kill Damon and Stefan but still, having such a long list of vampires that could not be killed was not really smart as far as Faith was concern. She though it made them seem weak. But if Buffy though it was for the best, than she would follow for the moment being.
“I’d rather stay here than move to Mystic Fall to be quite honest. I don’t know what it is about that place but it gives me the creeps.” For some reason, ever since Faith had went there the first time, she had hated it. “so yeah I claim seniority over double S and want to move in this place and let either you and one of them or both of them live over there.” Truth be told, Faith would much rather live here with Buffy just because she knew her better than the other two and was use to how Buffy was but she was not going to complain about that. It really did not matter that much as far as she was concern. But like anyone else she had her preferences. “But yeah would be smart to have two pair on each side and make things easier for us and then the vamps could finally know what they are dealing with…”
“B if you are not giving it back, it kind of mean you were stealing it.” She laughed. Faith raised an eyebrow as Buffy started to speak about a particular night but then quickly moved on from that. It did not take a genius to know what she was talking about and Faith kind of wanted to push the issue just to make Buffy blush but she decided against it. If Buffy didn’t want to share that particular moment with Faith so be it. “yeah I understand what you mean.” She said simply but could not help the smirk on her lips.
Faith got up from where she was sitting. “sounds good, should not take us long it’s not as if we have that much stuff but it might be smart to use a car” she pointed out. What Faith owned easily fit in only a three suitcases but it was mostly the weapons that were heavy. “Don’t worry I’m sure Angel is just fine.” Faith told her sister slayer as they walked out. “he always is.”

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She snickered at the comment about not many humans being smart. "I wouldn't say that they aren't smart...I would just say that they don't use most of their brains at times." She stated with a roll of her hazel eyes. "I always did wonder how people in Sunnydale remained so oblivious to what was going on in town and why people still tended to go outside after dark. How many people did we save in the cemeteries in the middle of the night?" She asked rhetorically before continuing. “I did have a bit of my faith in mankind restored at my prom when people were talking about how weird the town was.” She told her before laughing.
“Jonathon, this crazy short kid that Andrew killed a few years later, long story…” She stated, seeing Faith’s look. “And he was talking about how Sunnydale wasn't like regular towns and how a lot of weird stuff happened here. Then a couple kids in the background started yelling out zombies, hyena people and Snyder." She stated, smiling fondly at the memory. "Then he said something about how our graduating class had the lowers’ mortality rate of any graduating class in Sunnydale history. So some know, they just choose to ignore it. It’s easier to live in denial than it is to face the truth, especially when you can do nothing about it.”
She nodded sagely at the mention of Mystic Falls giving her the creeps. “I know, I’m not a huge fan of the town myself and that’s saying something if we both dislike it since we lived on the Hellmouth. But yeah I’ll probably be the one moving with either Sarah or Satsu, whoever wants to go. I wouldn’t make you move and I figure that way people have a chance to get away from me since we all know how much they’d love that.” She told her with a wink.
She hushed her sister slayer playfully at the mention of stealing Angel’s shirt. “I never said I wouldn’t give it back to him.” She told her. “I just plan on keeping it until I decide to borrow another one. See borrow, I plan on giving it back. You know…whenever he notices it’s gone.” She giggled out.
Grabbing her keys off of the table she shrugged. “We can take the SUV that I have specifically for the boarding house. Yes, I totally have one just for that purpose…though I do plan on buying myself an actual car. This one anyone can use as long as they are over 21 as the insurance isn’t as high and they’ve got a valid drivers license. Also helps for taking and picking girls up from the airport with a lot of luggage.” She stated, making her way towards said SUV and unlocking it. “Jump in and tell me which hotel your at.” She told her before backing out of the driveway and putting the car in drive, heading the way that Faith told her to go.

“people simply didn’t want to see the evil in their town. I mean it’s easier for them to simply close their eyes to it. Think everything is a freak accident and that the guy with the teeth just needs a new dentist.” She said with a shrug. It was something she had always hated. People didn’t want to see the bad things and would much rather hide their head into the sand than anything else. It’s quite sad really. I mean had they decided to really see what is going on I’m pretty sure half the people that did die would actually be alive…” Faith said simply. “I guess the younger people decided to actually see what was going on…”
“well they were lucky to have you, I mean you did safe a lot of people back then, and well still do.” Faith reminded her. Buffy had always been the strong slayer out of them, the one people could actually go to for help. Faith, not so much, she had saved people but she had also hurt some. Of course they all had made some mistakes in the past so she was not alone in this and was starting to actually understand this and be okay with it. Not that it was really easy. But none of them were perfect. “At least you were there to save them…”
“maybe we can take turns if you want. I mean I know neither of us would die because we are afraid of it, or whatever but still. I don’t want either of us to feel stuck there or something. Maybe check with Angel where he wants to go when he comes back. I mean if he wants to stay here I will go. Its not like I really have something that is forcing me to stay here.” Well there was Xander but that was a whole other story really. Faith laughed at Buffy last comment. “I’m sure they love you.”
“Aww people in love.” Faith said in a fake dramatic tone. Really it was sweet to see and she was happy for Buffy. If there was someone who deserved to be happy it was her. She had been through so much before and it was about time that she catch a break. Of course, who knew how long this would last really. Felt like things were never easy and would never be easy either.
Faith followed Buffy to the car. “Damn girl you really need to start investing the money into something instead of buying cars.” She said with a small laugh. “But yeah I should eventually get one I mean I can’t really walk everywhere forever right?” she said as she told Buffy where to turn the car a couple of times until they finally reach the crappy motel that Faith had been calling home for far too long now. “So this is it.” She said as she walked out of the car and to the door of her motel room. “let’s go shouldn’t take me too long”

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She laughed at Faith's rant about the dentist. "I actually got to the point when I first found out what I was that I looked for evil everywhere. I wondered if my parents were demons, if my principal was, if the guy down the street was actually homeless or if he was spying on me. I saw evil everywhere and it literally drove me up the wall. My first watcher, Merrick, he finally had to sit me down and have a stern talking to with me (which went over real well as I’m sure you can imagine) about the difference in being cautious and being completely paranoid.”
She heard the loneliness in Faith’s voice and she put a hand on her sister slayer’s shoulder with a smile. “We both were there Faith. You may have gone a little loopy for awhile but before that you did kill a lot of vampires… and everyone that we dusted…that you dusted…and every demon that you slayed…saved more than one person. How many people do you think that vampires kill? Each? Angelus has killed thousands…and he’ll readily admit that to you. Same with Spike, Drusilla, Darla, the Master, Kakistos, Trick…every vampire that we have stopped…we’ve saved thousands of lives. So don’t just think it was me…you were there for a lot of it too Faith.” She told her with a soft smile, knowing that the dark haired woman was not someone who usually did emotions hence her not getting all weepy, instead appealing to what they both knew was true.
It was surprising to the blonde slayer that when Faith mentioned Angel that she didn’t feel her normal feeling of jealousy that usually went along with any woman mentioning the handsome vampire. She knew that Faith had at one time, well, more than once most likely, wanted to sleep with Angel and yet she felt no resentment any longer. With Cordelia, that was another matter, but with Faith it was no longer important. “I’m glad that the two of you are friends, you and Angel that is. I’m glad to see that he’s got people looking out for him these days. I’ll talk to Angel whenever he gets his broody butt back to Richmond and see what he wants, though you and I both know he’s going to say ‘It doesn’t matter to me’ or ‘Whatever you and Kathy want’. He won’t make a decision unless it’s something I don’t want him to make a decision on.” She told her with a good natured laugh, knowing that Angel had gotten a lot more decisive over the years but she also knew he wanted her to be happy, something that she was grateful for though it did get a tad annoying at times.
She followed Faith’s directions and pulled up into the hotel, jumping out and following the dark haired woman into the hotel room. Faith was right, she didn’t have much and that was something that she needed to change. “As for me investing it, Giles says the Watcher’s council was supposed to take care of the slayer financially, they just didn’t like us so that is out the window.” She stated with a laugh. “However this car was purchased for the Boarding house, the car I’m buying is coming out of my money from working at the high school.” She informed her before motioning to the room. “What do you want me to pack?”

“girl you got paranoid real fast.” Faith smirked but she could understand where Buffy was coming from. She was the same. It was easy to lose yourself into all of these craziness. It was hard to know who was family, friends and who was not. Hell she had tricked a few people herself in her time, handed up getting tricked herself by Angel and Buffy. She should have known better than to try and break these two apart. Had she ever been jealous of Buffy and everything she had? Of course perhaps she still was a bit jealous today but it was different now. Faith knew that she had people that cared for her, people that liked her and Xander that really did like her which was a whole different story.
Force of habit, Faith froze up when Buffy put her hand on her shoulder. It was not that she had something against Buffy it was just that she had been so use to being by herself that those little things that people would consider normal were still foreign to her. Faith listened to Buffy as she gave one of her many speeches. Had it been someone else, Faith would have properly rolled her eyes but over the years she had gotten use to the whole Buffy and talk. It was part of who her sister slayer was, she was always there for other people and Faith knew that it was not about to change. It was actually nice to have Buffy around. The blonde woman was level headed enough to put Faith back in her place when she needed or give her the pat on the back that was needed to help Faith keep going. “Yeah I guess you are right…” But still if there ever was a role model slayer, it would always be Buffy and now Faith was actually okay with that.
Faith was glad that she was able to have Angel as a friend without pissing Buffy off. Angel was a big reason of who she was now. She doubted that she would be half the slayer she was now had it not been for him. He had helped her in a way no one else could have. She could easily remember the moment where he had figured out how badly she needed help, how much she needed someone to save her. The moment where she had begged him to kill her. It would have been hard on Faith if Buffy had not approved of the friendship. Not that she needed Buffy to approve of who she could be friends with but Angel was her soulmate and Faith her sisterslayer so while Faith felt that Buffy had nothing to fear she wondered if she would see thing in the same light, thankfully she had. “Yeah Angel does not really make decision he is like the happy go lucky kind, without the happy part…” Faith said with a small laugh. Yeah Angel had always been rather moody. But who could blame him with that soul that had been stucked inside of him after everything he had done.
“yeah the Watcher council only likes people they can control it seemed.” Faith said shaking her head. “you can just throw the stuff in the drawer into this suitcase.” She said as she reached under the bed. “all my clothes will easily fit in this. I’m gonna pack the bathroom.” She added which she did and only took her about 5 minutes. She grabbed another suitcase and threw the weapons she kept in the bedside table in it. Within 15 minutes everything was packed. “I really need to start getting some stuff. I mean I am going to settle down around here so might as well.” Faith had never really stayed around in one place long enough but perhaps it was about time she started.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She laughed and nodded. “I definitely did. Then again you would have too if you had hung around with the people that I did.” She told her with a roll of her hazel eyes. “Put it this way, when you met me I was still pretty prissy and preppy, however before I moved to Sunnydale I was…hmmm…how should I put this?” She asked, thinking of a way to describe herself without naming any names. “Alright, I was the Queen B of my school in Los Angeles. You know how Cordelia was, shallow, ditzy, and really didn’t give two craps about anyone else besides herself but faked it really well? I was worse.” She admitted.
“My best friend’s and I did nothing but shop, talk about boys, talk on the phone, and worry about the next school dance. I was the captain of the cheerleading squad and my boyfriend was the captain of the football team. I was the typical California girl who would have gone on to be a personal shopper or a trophy wife or something along those lines up until my first watcher, Merrick, found me. After that I tried to still fit in with my friends but they started getting on my nerves with the way that they were acting since I knew what went out there and even if they did I didn’t think that they would care.” She explained. “Besides, it didn’t help that a friend of mine who I met after being called, well, his best friend was turned into a vampire, so was one of the guys on the basketball team and he tried to snack on a couple of the other guys…then there was the whole ‘group of vampires attacking a high school dance and me burning it down in order to save everyone.’ Thing.” She finished with a laugh.
She felt Faith tense u when she put her hand on her shoulder but didn’t stop, instead squeezing it gently before releasing it. She knew how that felt. Granted she had never had the life that Faith had as she had always had her mom and from what she learned from her sister slayer her mother nor her father were worth remembering in Faith’s eyes. However she did know how it felt to never want to be touched, that’s how she felt after returning from heaven. Not the same thing but she knew what it was like and she definitely tried to respect that for the most part.
She did as the brunette asked and threw everything into bags, finishing up around the same time as Faith did before nodding. “I see a trip to the mall in our future.” She stated, knowing that this would probably strike terror in Faith’s heart more than any vampire or demon did. “Maybe we can drag a couple of the girls that you know, don’t annoy the hell out of us, and do a mall trip. Maybe make it slayer’s only? What do you think, you, me, Satsu and Sarah? Could be entertaining if nothing else.” She asked as she made her way back to the car and helped load it up.
