Things were actually going well for Rebekah for the first time in a long time. She hasn't been daggered in weeks, her and Klaus were talking again, she had a new best friend forever in April, and a new love of her life in Noah. Things were going good for the blonde Original vampire. And she would dare say she was... happy.
Rebekah smiled at the thought as she sat on a bench in the park. It was a beautiful day and the sun shined bright down on Rebekah. That was another thing she could be thankful for, her ring. She looked at it, normally she didn't think about it, as she has had it for 1000 years, so it never crosses her mind. She would absolutely hate having to stay inside during days like this one.
Her pink top highlighted her blonde hair perfectly, completing the outfit, was a blue skirt. She wore this outfit to tease Noah in later, she liked teasing him cause he was so easy, but that didn't mean she wouldn't help him deal with the tension later, she giggled at the thought. She just had to wait a few more hours to see Noah.
She thought about going to the grill and compelling the bartender to give her free drinks, but she decided against it, it was just to nice out and Rebekah was having to much fun thinking about how she loved life right now for the first time in as long as she could remember. She stood up and fixed her shirt and started walking around the park. She thought she spotted someone following her out of the corner of her eye, but she dismissed it.
They were setting up a stage for a film showing this weekend. She didn't know what film it was, but she knew she had to drag Noah to it as it would be just to damn romantic. They can hide in the back and stay out of view of everyone else because technically speaking their love affair was "forbidden". Ugh she hated the laws of modern times so much. Love is love, it didn't matter if it was between a teacher and a student.
She thought briefly of Noah's family dying on the Titanic. She felt sad about that and wished she knew Noah back then to help him through that difficult time, but things worked out in the end and she found herself madly in love with him, which was setting her up for heartache if he ever broke up with her. She didn't want to think about that right now, and hoped it never happened.
There it was again. Rebekah was sure she saw someone this time. Rebekah got all tense. Her perfect care free day just got spoiled and she was more angry then upset over the whole thing. Whoever it was either has a death wish, or didn't know any better, or thought they could get away with it. Rebekah stopped in her tracks. Speaking now to the person.
"Whoever you are, you don't know who your messing with, so you better get going or else." She spoke to them. She knew her strength and really only 2 people scared her, Klaus, who wouldn't stalk her in the first place, and Mikael. If it was Mikael, she was in huge trouble, as he would be able to kill her with his special stake, anyone else had a world of hurt coming.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline had finally been out with Elena. Although Katherine had had to tag along as well it had over all been a somewhat good night. Of course it had been interrupted by Lexi as she took Elena away to go and look for the brothers. The boys were always getting themselves into trouble and somehow always needed to find a way out of it all. Either way though she was happy to have gone out in the end. She had been a bitch and she still hadn't told Elena that she had kissed Klaus but that would have to wait now. Bonnie knew and that was the main thing that mattered. She had told someone. She sighed at the thought of having to wait awhile before she could tell Elena, the girls had been so out of the loop it was crazy. They used to be insepreable and now it was hard to find a moment alone with either of them.
She sighed as she left her home, she was supposed to be gathering intel on a certain blonde original whilst trying to stay out of her. She couldn't help but want to know what was going on. The originals had been quiet for some time which was scarier than when they let their plans be known. For once they weren't going to sit arund and wait for them to make a move, they needed to take action. But they had to find out what they were up to first. Heading towards the mansion she knocked on the door, she was planning to just knock this on the head but when she received no answer she sighed. She had missed Rebekah which wasn't a good thing, she couold be anywhere. Sheilding her eyes she glanced around trying to catch the girls scent but was struggling. She rolled her eyes and headed out figured the town square was a good starting point.
Heading in that general direction she wondered for abit. The sun was quite warm toda and out in full force. It was a nice change, she hadn't really done much during the days recently, just homework and school. She couldn't believe she was still so intent on graduating this year, she couldn't not. The town square was full of scents with all of the flowers in bloom. She loved this time of year, it was so full of things that she wanted to remember. Not that she was going anywhere anytime soon, it wasn't as if she could go anywhere. Letting out a sigh she looked into a few shops that she had seen Rebekah in a few times before but couldn't find her anywhere. She could be anywhere. Care was about to give up when the slight breeze blew in her direction and the original's scent was laced in it. She frowned and whipped her head around to the very center of the square. There she was.
Caroline made her way towards the other blonde. Why did they both have to be soo similliar, at least she could admit it. If the two of them didn't clash so much they would probably be friends in another life. But they competed for everything, even in school. At least Care was still captain of the cheer leading squad not to mention Miss Mystic Falls an a few other things. She was happy with that. She would also be prom queen no matter what it took. The girl must have seen her coming because Rebekah easily announced that they show themselves. As if she was hiding in the first place. "That woould require hiding. I was merely coming over here to have a little talk with you." She sat down on the bnch next to her without an invite. They needed to know what was happening with the originals. Rebekah scoffed at Caroline. Just what she needed, Mrs goody goody. Mrs I'm excited for everything! "I was having a good day." She said to the other vampire. Caroline really rubbed Rebekah the wrong way, and everything Caroline had, Rebekah wanted. The friends, the cheer squad, everything.
"What do you want?" Rebekah said not that she cared what Caroline wanted, chances are Rebekah wouldn't give it to her anyways. She and Care never really got along, even if they had, they would be constantly battling each other for Alpha girl and would be constantly in each others face.
"Why cant you just leave me alone, if you knew what was good for you, you wouldn't be here right now." Rebekah said, it wasn't really a threat, Rebekah didn't threaten people she promised them pain, and she delivered. Rebekah wouldn't hurt Caroline anyways, as Rebekah saw it, Care was below her, and she didn't like wasting time on people she didn't care about.
She looked at her finally when she didn't leave. She kinda admired Caroline, but she would never admit it out lout. She saw a lot of herself in her, and she wondered if they didn't hate each other if they could be friends. Rebekah never really did anything to Caroline, Klaus was the one that turned Tyler into a hybrid, yet Rebekah was guilty by association.
All Rebekah wanted right now was the love of her family, friends, a hot boyfriend, and as normal of a life as she could get for a vampire. Sure, she tried to make Caroline jealous with Tyler, but that was just fun for Rebekah. She liked having a good time, and if Care couldn't accept that, then that was her problem.
Rebekah didn't fit in with Elena and her friends, and yeah she hated them for the most part, but only because they seemed to hate her as much back. Rebekah couldn't help the way she was, as he has been like this for 1000 years. The truth was, all they saw Rebekah is was a threat, an enemy, someone they had to keep tabs on. Maybe it was true, maybe it wasn't.
She looked away from Care. "I really don't want to waste my day talking to you." She said, but she knew that wouldn't be enough to scare Caroline away. She just wanted to get into Noah's arms. It seemed like everyone hated her for what she was, she guessed she couldn't blame them, but Noah excepted her and loved her, even when he found out about some of the stuff she did he still didn't seem to mind.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline realised she probably should have gone with Lexi and Elena but it seemed the two girls were closer than ever before, almost to the point where Caroline and Bonnie were no longer being included in anything they did. At the same time though, she couldn't rerudge her friend for doing what she had to do to get the ones she loved back. She would do the same thing if it were her mom or someone like Tyler. Although the two of them were over, it didn't mean that she didn't still love him. That kind of thing didn't just go away when they broke up, but it was fading. That was the start of her moving on, not to mention the inappropriate thoughts she was having about a certain original hybrid who she had kissed rather passionatly before slapping him after saying he was simply using her. How to make a girl feel special right?
However staying behind and looking out on Rebekah was a good idea, they all had to know what the originals had been up to recently. Pumping Klaus for information didn't really work anymore, he tended to keep his plans guarded when she was around be he obviously knew that she was the distraction to find it all out. However the other original in the family had a way of spilling what was happening before she even realised she had done it. The two of them were so alike in that aspect, at least Caroline was getting better, there was always that. She knew that Rebekah would throw her guard up the moment she was approached but there had to be something that could get around it. Maybe even trying to help the blonde girl, as much as the two of them hated each other, they could at least try to find some common ground.
Care rolled her eyes at the first words out of Rebekah's mouth. So lady like of her, you wouldn't even know she wasn't raised in the twenty first century. Either way the girl had a tounge like a snake. "If you want to know, i'm here to talk. You know a simple hello Caroline would have been nice and decent. Why ruin such a good day?" She spoke knowing she was pushing it with the original already. She should back off before her neck got snapped in the middle of this park. "I'm not here to fight with you Rebekah but I am curious as to what has your panties in a knot. If you tell me your secret i'll tell you mine because I am dying to tell someone that won't give a crap" She smiled in her girly manner and knew she should have caught the blondes attention at that. Sharing secrets didn't happen very often. Caroline had a few tactics up her sleeve that she was willing to play but she was limited in that sense as well. There was only so much you could give. In another life, the two of them would be friends. Even Caroline knew the girl had a soft side deep down. She shrugged her shoulders at the girls comment. Well she wasn't going to waste an entire day maybe just half an hour or so. "Look I was simply being polite. The cheer leading squad will fair if we can't get along. What if I promoted you to flyer? You'd be close to the top them almost third in command. I really want to win sectionals for this team, it never wins" She spoke being honest in that. She really did want to win and Rebekah was good at it no matter how much Care hated to admit it. She knew it wasn't the only reason though but being honest seemed like a good way to go. All Caroline wanted to do was talk? That didn't make much sense to Rebekah. What could they possibly have to talk about? They didn't get along and though Rebekah was far from the smartest person in the world, she could sense when something was up. She looked Caroline over and decided to play along. "Sure we can talk. What about?" She asked her with a smile, which may or may hot have been genuine.
"I'm sorry, its just you never want to talk to me, so forgive me for being rude, its just not like you to give a damn about me." Rebekah said still sporting the same smile. "I promise you, I don't have any secrets, at least none I am willing to tell someone who doesn't like me very much." She added, her smile not fading one bit from her face as she studied the other blonde closely.
"Really... you want to give me one of the best positions on the team? Why? Whats the catch?" Rebekah asked her cautiously. Rebekah believed that Caroline really did just want to win. Caroline did care about that sort of thing all the time. So it wasn't out of character for her to admit that she wanted to win. What was out of character was Caroline being... nice to Rebekah.
Rebekah wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but she was able to sense when someone was up to something. It was figuring out what they really were up to was her problem. Rebekah always fell for such traps and Rebekah knew that Caroline wanted something in return, just helping them win was not gonna be enough for this prime position on the team, and Rebekah knew it. "So, what do you want in return for this gracious offer?" Rebekah asked her.
"Come on Caroline, you are never nice to me, and I am never nice to you. So, you would never offer this to me if you didn't want something in return." Rebekah added, she knew Caroline would attempt to say she didn't want anything, but Rebekah wasn't gonna buy it. "Yeah, right, you just want to be friends huh?" Rebekah added looking at her.
It would be weird and... yet very nice if Caroline really wanted to be Rebekah's friend. If anyone at this horrible school was an equal to Rebekah, well, no one was an equal, but if there was one person who came close, it was Caroline, and Rebekah would be friends with her, if they didn't hate each other with a serious passion that is. Rebekah did help Klaus turn Tyler into a hybrid after all, so Rebekah didn't exactly blame Caroline for not liking her.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline knew that Rebekah wasn't as dumb as she looked. People always assumed the worst of the blondes but that soo wasn't the case. Rebekah had been around for longer than most, infact longer than pretty much everyone other than her siblings so she knew when she was being played or something else of the sort. Care figured that the two of them needed to bond and sure it would be nice to simply offer the position as a flyer in the kindness of her heart but she did have an ulterior motive. First thing was to find out what kind of relationship she was currently having with her brother. Klaus could be a problem, although she was growing to have feelings for him she had to know why he was leaving Elena alone for the moment. She wanted to ensure that no harm was about to come to her because Care would do anything and everything in her power to protect her.
Rolling her eyes at the comment about never wanted to simply do nothing other than talk she wanted to shake the girl. She was the one who always wanted to talk, the blonde original was the one who turned it into a blood bath and a complete competition with each other. Although Care knew she was just as much to blame, she couldn't help that she was completely too competative. "I won't blame you for being rude and I doubt you have secrets that others don't know. However there is one question I want to ask you, are you getting along with your brother right now?" She asked. The girl probably thought that Care was going to try and turn her against her brother again but that soo wasn't the case. No she just wanted to know because the answer would make the decision whether or not to try and pump her for information or not. Of course she would figure that there would be some catch and not that Care just wanted to win. Unfortuntly the girl had the position even before the information was needed, she just hadn't found a reason to approach her with the offer but now was the perfect opportunity. Now she realised it just made her look as though she was after something. "The catch is you better win it for us. We haven't won since i've been captain and as it's my last year this year I am determined to win. So don't let me down otherwise I'd be pissed" She spoke in her stern captain tone of voice. She couldn't help it. She wanted to win more than anything this year, it was her last year and she would certainly be making a big move, not to mention trying to get the prom queen crown, she just needed a good king to go with now. Care shrugged her shoulders at the girls words. No the two of them were never nice to each other but at the same time maybe the friendship could be an opportunity. "Look I was meant to give you the position a week ago but then things happened with your brother and let's just say I lost my concentration. However there was a reason I came to you today. I just need to know why Klaus has left Elena alone. Does he have another plan? he won't talk to me about her." She asked coming out with the truth. A friendly approach was the best way after all and she was being nothing but honest now. Surely Rebekah would be able to tell the difference this time right? She looked over at Rebekah and leant back against the bench and crossed her legs. Maybe this was the chance to become friends.. or not. Rebekah listened to Caroline ask how she was getting along with her brother. Wanting almost to instantly snap at the other vampire, she refrained. She knew Caroline and Klaus had feelings for each other, and she decided not to get on Klaus'es bad side by snapping Caroline's neck. She simply looked at the other girl, almost trying to stare a hole through her.
"Nik probably cares more about you right now then he does me." Rebekah said a little bit bitter. Rebekah and Klaus didn't really talk much, at least since he found out how to create his hybrids and Rebekah became all but useless to him. He didn't even treat her like family any more, he was off doing god knows what, and when he did come to town, he ended up ignoring her.
Sure, Rebekah made less of an effort as her brother, so it was a two way street. He was just so wrapped up in his hybrids that he just didn't seem to care. Rebekah wondered if she were to somehow get killed if he would even shed a single tear for her. "I haven't talked to him in a while." She added truthfully. He got what he wanted out of Rebekah, and that was help with his hybrids and she had nothing to offer him.
She smirked at Caroline. "You... being pissed at me? You think I give a damn?" Rebekah said with a laugh. Sure, Caroline was... spirited and strong since she became a vampire. But Rebekah had 1000 years on her, she could rip Caroline to shreds if she were so inclined to do, but again, this would piss of Nik, and Rebekah and Nik didn't talk much as it were to add Caroline's death to the mix.
"But that is seriously it? That's all you want from me?" Rebekah asked, but she realized she asked to soon, as Caroline gave her the real reason as to why she was asking. She wanted info on Nik. Of course she did, she cared about her friends, typical Caroline, having so much care for her friends and family. The name Care Bear never fit a person better.
Rebekah sighed. "Well he needs her blood to create his hybrids. But you know this already." Rebekah said with a shrug. She really didn't have anything for Caroline. Rebekah didn't like that Caroline was asking her to betray her brother, but since Rebekah didn't know anything to begin with, it didn't bother her that much. Even if she did know his plans, she sure as hell wouldn't tell them to Caroline.
She looked at Caroline. "Would you though... be friends with me?" Rebekah asked her, showing a little bit of vulnerability to Caroline. It wasn't something Rebekah showed very often, but if Caroline admitted that she at least liked Rebekah a little, Rebekah wouldn't mind that at all, but if all Caroline wanted was info on Nik, then she was seriously barking up the wrong tree. Rebekah couldn't even remember the last text she got from him.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline knew that she and Rebekah had probably never had a normal conversation before which she found interesting. She had heard that when Elena had found out about the originals'history from her she had seemed as though having someone to talk to about anything was the best this she had wanted. Caroline wondered why the two girls were so alike, was this why Klaus liked her so much? Either way she had to get the information that she needed. Although she wasn't above lying and never had been, she was unsure if she wanted to get involved in all of this again. Klaus had plans that he wasn't sharing with her, there had to be a reason he was leaving Elena alone and if anyone would know them, it would be his little sister. Gaining her confidence wasn't a bad thing, if they could get Rebekah on side maybe all of this would end well.
When it was obvious that Rebekah and Klaus weren't really talking Care had a slight downfall. But she knew that just because they weren't getting along right now didn't mean that he wouldn't exactly confide his plans in her, even if it was to just rub them in her face. "But he won't talk about Elena with me. Rebekah i'm not trying to turn you against your own family but I need to know if he has some plan for her. We need to be at least a little prepared" She asked getting a little desperate. Surely Rebekah could understand doing anything for one of her closest friends. She sighed a little and sagged against the seat. Yeah this really hadn't been going as planned. Elena would have nothing to come back to and Care felt like a bit of a failure. No she would work out how to get his plans out of him as she was over not knowing what was happening. Rebekah seemed to be asking the questions as well which was weird either way Caroline wasn't going to give anything away on her friends, or where Elena even wan at that moment. She smirked a little at the girls words. "No you don't but you do care about the team and fitting in. I can't be the only good cheer leader you know." She shrugged and flipped her hair behind her shoulder. "Plus you care enough to want to stay on the team and you know I am captain" She smiled and winked a little and realised she and Rebekah were having a joke. If someone walked past they would stop dead and stare. The two of them were well known for not getting along simply because they were too alike and ended up clashing. Maybe they could put all that aside after all? When Rebekah recited when everyone already knew she sighed, the girl obviously knew more than that and just wasn't willing to share. Urgh! Why did she even bother. Care looked down at the ground and stood up. If there was nothing more to add then she was leaving. "Seriously!? I know you know more than that. I am trying to protect the people I love and you won't even help. Forget it, I don't know why I bothered" She turned and her hair flew around her. Surely the girl would see the wrong and find Caroline out during the day sometimes, either that or nothing would come of this enture conversation and it was nothing more than a waste of time. She would certainly be keeping her eye on Rebekah. She now knew why they didn't get along, Rebekah was selfish and thought of herself first. As she started to move away Rebekah showed a bit of vunrability. Care stopped dead in her tracks and turned around and made her way back towards the other blonde. She sighed and ran a hand through her hair. "Yes Rebekah I would consider putting aside everything, including the reasons we don't get along and give it a try. But there is a best friend of mine who is in constant danger and I want to be able to save her should something happen I want to be prepared but you won't help, even after all Klaus has done to you." She sighed knowing she had just gone on a rant. Yeah she really needed to learn to put a sock in it sometimes. Caroline looked down at the other blonde and knew that they could probably give a friendship a chance if that was what it took to save her friends. "Caroline I honestly don't know anything. Would I lie to you?" Rebekah asked with a smile. Damn right she would lie about stuff like this, but she didn't have any clue what Nik was planning. He kept her out of the loop, basically he got what he wanted, his damn hybrids and he left Rebekah to fend for herself. Not to mention when Elena told Rebekah that it was Nik that killed their mother, not Mikael, it hurt Rebekah a lot.
Rebekah still loved Nik but it seemed like he really didn't give a damn about her. "He left me here, remember, high and dry alone." She pointed out, feeling a little sore on the subject. She wanted to snap Caroline's neck right now, if she wasn't being so nice, she probably would and just walk away and pretend the conversation never happened, but Caroline wasn't being mean, she was just talking about something that upset Rebekah and Rebekah was trying to be a good girl for Noah.
Rebekah listened to Caroline joke about the cheer team. "Well, you wouldn't kick off the best cheerleader on the squad, no matter how much you hated her." Rebekah smiled at the other blonde vampire before snapping out of it. What the hell was she doing, playing buddy buddy with Caroline. Rebekah would surely throw up in her mouth if she could right now. But still, Caroline and Rebekah would rule this school.
Rebekah tried to make friends, but she came off as bitchy and a control freak, which Caroline also came off as, but for some reason people loved Caroline but didn't like Rebekah because of it. She pretended like she didn't care, but she did, she really really did. Which is why she suddenly felt sad about Caroline leaving her. "Good, everyone leaves me, no one cares about me. You can just do the same." She said more to herself then to Caroline, but Caroline stopped.
Rebekah looked up at Caroline who didn't want to give up on her like everyone else seemingly did. Stefan did, Nik did, and she constantly feared Noah doing the same. Rebekah looked down at the ground. "I swear Caroline, I do not know any more then you do." She said truthfully this time, not a joke, not brushing off the question, but it was honest. "If I did I would tell you." She added truthfully.
She stood up in front of Caroline now looking her in the eyes. "But I... Promise you that I will help protect Elena." Rebekah said with a frown. There weren't many people that scared her, but Nik was one of them, not that he could really do anything to her, other then dagger her and keep her in a pine box for 10,000 years. But if Rebekah had friends that would watch out for her, and that she would watch out for, then they wouldn't let that happen to her, would they.
"I can't stop him you know that, I wouldn't even know where to begin. But I can help protect you, Elena, everyone." Rebekah said finally, she felt dirty for trying to be friends with Caroline, like she was making a deal with the devil. But Nik seemingly didn't care about her anymore and what else was she gonna do? She still loved Nik, but if that love wasn't returned, they why should she bother.
"You have my word, Elena is safe if there is anything I can do about it." Rebekah said with a smile, she was trying and she didn't have any information on what Nik had planned doing. She thought that Niks plan was to get as much of Elena's blood stock piled as he could until the day she died, keep kidnapping her and draining her blood just enough to where she doesn't die, then wait a few months for her to recover and then get some more.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline had heard about Rebekah's vulnerable side, she knew what it was like to be a complete outcast. She had never really been loved by those around her, instead going around her and using her. Getting her weaknesses known and people exploited them. In a way Care felt sorry for her, the girl should have everything, she had all the money in the world, a huge family and more than enough to keep her entertained and yet the main thing she wanted was love. Someone to just accept her as she was which was rare. However the girl had some serious flaws, for one she was a spoilt brat who threw the biggest temper tantrums when she didn't get her own. Care was ashamed to admit that they were more alike than people knew, Caroline liked things done her way also and when it didn't turn out that way she could throw a strop to ensure it got done the right way. Normally she just did it all herself.
She said she didn't know anything but it wouldn't be the first time she had said one thing and meant another. Heck the girl was as good as her brother when it came to keeping people in the dark if she really wanted to. Caroline raised her eyebrows and gave her a very pointed look at the small comment. Would she ever lie? Most definitely. She chuckled a little sarcastically and shook her head. "Of course not Rebekah, you would never do such a thing would you? Really should I have even dignified that question with an answer?" She spoke and crossed her arms over her chest. She knew she was being a little harsh and backed off dropping her arms. She sighed at the girls next words. "I know I'm sorry. We all know your brother can be a douche bag no matter my feelings towards him" She spoke truthfully, everyone knew how Klaus could be, it wasn't all charm and pleasantness, his mean streak was something to be scared of. The cheer leading squad was really going to get crushed no matter what happened, practice hadn't been the main thing on her mind recently which had freaked her out more than a little bit. She was going to work the girls hard soon enough and they would probably hate her for it. She laughed and shook her head. "Seriously, your looking at the best cheer leader. One of us is captain and it's the girl currently speaking. That's for a reason you know" She flipped her hair over her shoulder in her bitchy fashion. She did how support a smile to let her know that she was only joking around however she was the best cheer leader here. The thought of the two blondes putting aside their differences and actually co-operating instead of butting heads all the time was an appealing idea. The two of them would be unstoppable and that was what they needed. With Rebekah comment about not knowing anything more Care let out a soft sigh, she was irritated but not because of Rebekah but just because she didn't know enough. She had to know what was happening before it was too late, it was too dangerous for Elena otherwise. She nodded her head. "Ok well thanks anyway" She almost sagged at the thought. However the next words out of Rebekah's mouth stunned her a little. The girl was going to help? That was news. She smiled a big proud smile. "You have no idea how much that helps. Rebekah having someone like you there looking out for Elena is huge. I will warn you it won't be easy as I doubt Lexi and Elena will want your help but I am asking for you to not give up" She spoke with a huge smile on her features, this was turning out better than expected. Sitting back down next to her apparently new friend she felt she could relax just a little. When Elena came back from Vegas she would have an extra pair of eyes watching over her and it would be more helpful than anyone could possible know. She looked over at Rebekah and couldn't help a small smirk. "I don't want you to go up against Klaus though. If I got you hurt whilst you were trying to protect Elena I would feel so bad. I'll get in the way I know he won't hurt me thankfully" She spoke truthfully. Klaus was falling for her in every way and she knew the feelings were becoming mutual. However he would have to change his ways if he wanted something from her, a few stolen kisses aside, it didn't change the fact that he was still his same old self and needed to leave her best friend alone. Rebekah just chuckled when Caroline was being sarcastic toward her. Rebekah was sarcastic like that to a lot. So she found it interesting when someone replied to her in a sarcastic manner. Rebekah and Caroline really were a lot alike, and not just in the blonde hair department, and not because both of them were extremely good looking, but in personality as well.
They were both control freaks, they were both brats at times and threw fits of rage. Which is why they really didn't get along, as because their personalities clashed so much. She didn't like that Caroline called Nik a douche bag to her face. Rebekah couldn't help but be defensive when it came to her family. Yeah she was mad at Nik for leaving her here, and she about cried her eyes out when Elena told her that Nik killed their mother, not Mikael, but still, he was family, even though Caroline had a point about the douche bag thing.
"Yeah, cause you joined them first." Rebekah replied. partially in a joking matter, but also cause she thought it might be true. That was the only reason in Rebekah's mind that Caroline was the head cheerleader and not herself, if Rebekah was here from the beginning and she and Caroline joined the cheer team at the same time, Rebekah thought that she would be the leader. Still, Rebekah wasn't gonna deny that Caroline was a talented cheer leader herself, but Rebekah thought that she was better then Caroline. It didn't matter in the end, working together would be better then not.
Rebekah scoffed when Caroline mentioned the others not excepting her help at first. "I don't care what Lexi and Elena think. If they don't want my help, then that is there problem." Rebekah said, trying to sound like she didn't care, but part of her did. It never seemed like Nik cared about what she did to help him, he never appreciated her, and it would be nice if they at least appreciated her help, even if they didn't like her, they could at least admit that they need her help and want it. She sighed at Caroline's comments, she just wanted to be in Noah's arms right now and tell him how this day is going.
Part of her felt guilty for choosing to help Caroline and not her brother, but if Nik didn't want or need her help, then that was his fault. Nik pushed Rebekah away, not the other way around. She wanted nothing more then to be helping Nik right now, but all he wanted was his Hybrids. Rebekah was pissed that she was basically replaced by a bunch of half breeds whom she could rip all of their heats out of their chests in a blink of an eye. That's how little Nik thought of Rebekah, that he would rather be with them then her.
So the guilt, though present was small. "He won't be able to kill me, anyways, and he can kill you." Rebekah said. It was true, she doubted Nik would attempt to hurt Caroline, but if Nik wanted to, he would be able to destroy Caroline and he couldn't do that to Rebekah, the worst he could do is dagger her for awhile. So she didn't know how she felt about Caroline... protecting her from Nik, whom would surely disown her for siding with them, and his wrath would be immense. Rebekah smiled, brushing some hair behind her ear. "Thanks, Caroline." She really didn't know what else to say, no one has ever offered to protect her before, she really didn't even need protection.
