---------------------------- ---------------------------- The taller of the two Winchester brother’s caught the knife when Dean threw it to him and plunged it into the remaining demon, watching as the light flooded the man’s eyes before the body slumped over. He still felt a smidge of guilt every time they used the colt or the knife to kill a demon since he knew that if he used his psychic powers he could get the demon out while saving the person inside. However he didn’t want to even begin to think about ingesting demon blood again (Dean and Sarah would both kick his ass) nor did he want to think about what else it would make him do.
Feeling the knife in his hand gave him confidence that he once gained with his psychic powers (well, during the time that Ruby was around and he had been learning how to control it, or so he thought) but without the Colt or really anything other than a regular gun and some rock salt it was difficult to have any confidence. Sure he could start exorcising the demons from the blood that was in his jacket pocket but he doubted Crowley would allow him to do so and while he and Dean were strong, they weren’t ready to try to take on Crowley as they really didn’t know how to do so yet.
At least not permanently.
Relief flooded him as he watched Jo stab one of the demon’s while making her towards them. He smirked at Crowley and waited until he had gone before turning to the two others just in time to see Dean pull the young woman into his arms. Dean and Jo had always been closer than Sam and Jo so he gave them their time together, wondering briefly if he should leave. He had always been undecided on the two’s relationship and feelings towards one another. He knew that the two flirted incessantly and before the female hunter had died they had kissed but did they love each other as a relationship or as friends and siblings?
He really needed to have a long talk with his brother with everything that had gone on recently.
Watching as Dean finally pulled away he smiled his signature shy grin, leaning over to give the young woman a brief hug before pulling away, not wanting to stifle her. “Glad to have you back Jo.” He stated, before echoing his brother’s question. “Though I’ll admit I am curious as to what happened to bring you here.”

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - 12:39 Family. That was pretty much what they were and even death couldn't stop that. Jo had absolutely no one else in the world right now but Sam and Dean and she hoped that maybe now she would be able to get some answers from them about what was going on but right now it was them against Crowley and his demons. Sam and Dean each took one on, as did Jo, Dean had lead to the initial retaliation and now the three of them were looking at Crowley as he gave in, Jo was pleased to see that he didn't have anymore demon's up his sleeve though in all honesty stabbing that demon in the leg had gotten her juices flowing, she felt as though she was ready to hunt, as though she hadn't been away from this life for more than a second, just how long had she been gone? What was the year? The day? The month?
Crowley disappeared and Jo took a deep breath. She stood herself up straighter and turned to look at Sam and then to Dean only before she could really look at either brother, she was grabbed into a hug by Dean. Jo wrapped her arms up around him and squeezed back a little, just to make sure he was really real. She couldn't believe that she was here, hugging Dean after the last time they'd seen one another her guts were being held in by an ace bandage and they'd kiss, it was nothing more than a goodbye kiss because she and Dean could never be anything other than family to one another, not any more, the circumstances were all wrong in their past and undoubtedly their future, there was no doubting that they would always work better as close friend that treated one another as family. As for Sam there was no romantic tension of any sort there, unless you counted that strange time he was possessed, but that wasn't him thankfully but it still meant that things were a little awkward on Jo's part and she did feel guilty about that.
She was let go and then taken into another hug, a briefer one but one she was all to happy to embrace as she hugged Sam back. It was shorter than her hug with Dean and so when it was done she looked at Sam and then looked to Dean, Jo found that she couldn't really speak, she took a deep breath and cleared her throat, her eyebrows raising as she tried to think of why she might be back, truth was she didn't know and had hoped Sam and Dean would have had the answers. "I dunno, I kind of guessed you guys might know." Jo looked to Sam and smiled, glad to see him too, she had so many questions for the both of them. Did they kill the devil? What was going on now? Were other people that they knew back? From what Crowley was saying it sounded like there were plenty of people around that had come back from the dead, something that wasn't entirely natural though in the case of Dean and Sam, you kind of expected them to come back, one way or another. "Crowley mentioned something about other's coming back, what's going on? Why are people coming back?" Jo didn't expect Dean and Sam to have all the answers but maybe some clue as to what was going on, she wanted to get to the bottom of why she was back and if she was back, maybe her mom was too.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Dean still was in shock that Jo was really there, he still wonder how she got back? Was this the work of Castiel, all though Dean was sure he would tell him about bringing her back. So he was almost sure he wasn’t the one that did it, but it didn’t mean he still wasn’t going to talk to him. Maybe some Angel out there had the answers to how she was here. Dean then began to wonder where Ellen was and why she didn’t make it back with Jo. But Dean didn’t have the heart just yet to ask about her mom, he knew that if she wasn’t there it would be a touchy subject for her to talk about.
When Dean let up from the hug he could tell that Jo was a bit in shock, she seemed speechless not knowing what to say or how to act. But Dean couldn’t blame her really, it was shocking being dead for so long then being brought back. He felt the same way when he first came back from hell, but he could only imagine how Jo feels seeing that she was gone a lot longer then he was. Jo has been dead now for over 4 years now, and Dean has missed her everyday that she was gone.
It seemed like Jo had no idea on how she was there, and was hoping they had all the answers on this one. “No Jo I have no idea how you are here, but you can bet Sam and Me will find out. I know the first person I’m going to talk to is Cas and hope he has some answers. That is if I can find the Son of a bitch, it seems these days Heaven is way more important then we are.” It was true Dean was tired of Castiel always looking out for the Angels before them, when every one of them he has ever known has always fucked them over.
Jo then had said something about Crowley bringing more people back, which Dean has no knowledge of. He shot his brother a look knowing that whatever Crowley had cooked up couldn’t be good. “I don’t know what he is talking about Jo, we had no idea he was bringing people back. Did he say who and why?” He asked her before looking to his Brother. “We might need to pay him a visit again man, it sounds like people are just going to start showing up now. Which could be bad and could be good for us depending on who it is.”

---------------------------- ---------------------------- Sam shrugged, not really knowing what the hell was going on. However something rung in his memory and he turned to Dean quickly. “Didn’t Buffy tell you that a couple people that she knew were recently brought back? Also wasn’t Lexi originally dead and came back? So clearly something is going on. I can’t say whether the same something that brought Lexi back brought Jo back since Lexi was technically a vampire and still is but it could all be very well connected.” He stated, more thinking out loud than really answering anyone’s questions, it was just something that he tended to do when trying to figure out something.
He noticed then for the first time what seemed odd to him. What was odd was that Ellen wasn’t with Jo. The last few times they had seen one another it had been Dean and Sam with Ellen and Jo. Seeing one without the other just emphasized how much they had all lost. He so badly wanted to ask her about her mother since they hadn’t found them in heaven the last time they had been (and the only time either remembered) but he bit his tongue, not wanting to bring up bad memories for the young woman.
Before he could say anything else a buzzing from his pocket broke into his thoughts and he pulled out his phone with a furrowed brow. It was a text message from Sarah letting him know that she had found a vampire nest and wanted to know if he wanted to be her backup. He was more than fine with that for numerous reasons, one of them being that this would give Jo and Dean a bit of privacy while the other being that he really didn’t want Sarah fighting without him whether she could protect herself or not.
He quickly text messaged her back letting her know he’d pick her up from her apartment and then slid his phone back into his pocket. “Not to cut and run but Sarah needs my help with something so I’m going to go.” He told them, shooting a look at Dean that clearly said they’d talk later. He hugged Jo again quickly before slapping his brother on the back and pocketing ruby’s knife. “You two talk and the three of us can catch up another time.” He stated before walking out the door and into the evening, heading towards where his heard was currently waiting for him.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - 12:40 It sounded strange to Jo that people were coming back from the dead and that Dean and Sam had little to no clue about it. Crowley hadn't seemed to happy about it and so she presumed it was all good people, however Sam mentioned that someone was a dead vampire and then a live vampire, just what the hell was going on in this town and just what mystical mojo had set all these things into motion. Jo hoped that someone would give her some answers and preferably five minutes ago. Jo wasn't the most patient person but she wasn't the rude or demanding sort, she'd get to the bottom of this eventually, it was her own way of looking out for herself and if she needed a little hand on the way then she was willing to bet Dean would try and help her with some answers and who knew, maybe she'd even get her mom back. Maybe. Though her mom was in heaven and Jo didn't want to tear her away from that, from Ash and Pamela and a few other's they'd managed to reunite with all thinks to Ash's intellect.
"Crowley didn't seem too happy about people coming back from the dead, said it was something about souls coming off of his plate. I'm not exactly sure but it doesn't sound like he's behind it but he could be lying." Of course, demons were prone to lying, especially if they wanted to keep something hidden though Jo didn't know why Crowley would think bring vampires back was a good idea and surely even if he had power in hell and ... did vampires go to hell? Well wherever they went she wasn't sure Crowley had that much power he was a merely a crossroads demon. King of the crossroads but just the crossroads nonetheless so he certainly wouldn't have had the power to get her out of heaven just for the sake of wanting the colt and a demon killing knife, though how had he known she was going to be here?
Sam mentioned something about heading off and gave Jo a quick hug to say goodbye. She squeezed him gently and gave a small wave. "Catch up later, Sam." Jo watched him leave and then looked back to Dean. Who the heck was Sarah? Jo was thrown into what almost seemed like a new world but hey, at least the apocalypse hadn't taken place! They'd learnt that much from what Ash had deciphered of the angel airwaves. Dean and Sam seemed to have a knack for finishing things and from what she heard both Lucifer and Michael were in the pit but heaven had pretty much stayed the same from her perspective. She momentarily wondered how soon after her death had the boys trapped the devil but thought it wrong to ask. She didn't want to go tearing up those memories of the last time they'd spoken, she'd blown herself to pieces for them, well almost, she'd died after protecting Dean and her mother had done the deed but it all seemed worth it in the larger scheme of things.
"How long..." Jo trailed off, she wanted to know how long she'd been gone but wasn't sure if that was the right way to phrase it. "What year is it? What month? What day even?" Jo felt out of place enough to start with what with having been torn out of heaven but she didn't mind so much, it was just going to take a bit of adjusting to and she kind of wanted to know just how much time had passed she she'd gone, she wasn't sure if this was a reasonable type of conversation to be having right away, she could always have looked it up in a newspaper later on but she found that having Dean around would probably make it easier on her, she wan't sure how she was going to react and so the fact she could ask him, and he was about the only person in the world that she could ask because he was the only one she truly felt comfortable around, gave her some kind of comfort that she kind of needed right now even though she knew she'd never admit to being weak, scared or even a little bit intimidated by all of these circumstances but Jo knew Dean was no idiot, she knew he'd take care of her for now, until a case came along or Sam needed his help but that was okay to her, she could have a little time to herself a bit later on to think things over.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Dean didn’t know what the hell Crowley was doing or why he had messed with Jo, all Dean knew was he was going to put a stop to this. He wasn’t going to have some ass hat of a Demon messing with the people he cares about. Jo was like family to Dean, a sister that he was always care and look out for. After all if Ellen was still alive he could hear her now. “You look after my Jo now, you here me boy. And don’t let her do something stupid.” Dean could hear those words in his head as clear as day, he missed her so much. She was just like a mother to Sam and Dean, always looking out for them and there when they needed her.
Dean knew that the king of hell was cooking up something, which was the last thing they needed right now. He knew that Crowley didn’t bring Jo back, he seemed mad about the people coming back. But Dean wondered why he was mad? Why did he need these souls so badly anyway? Sam was right people had been coming back left and right, Buffy had seen a lot of it too. So if that was the case Crowley must have been pissed, because there were a lot that have walked back from hell, heaven or wherever. Dean knew one thing though he didn’t want Jo0worrying about this. She just came back from the dead, she needed to just take it easy. “Well you just don’t worry about Him, we will take care if Crowley. You need to just take it easy, and get use to living among the living.” he said with a smile to Jo. “How are you feeling by the way?”
Then Dean noticed Sam looking at his phone, he knew that Sarah might need him right now. Plus he knew that Sam wanted to give them time to catch up after all. There was a lot he wanted to talk to her about. “I will take to you later man, see you back at the motel. Oh and tell Sarah I said hey.” Dean said to Sam as he left.
Jo had asked Dean how long she had been gone for, which really wasn’t an easy thing to tell her. He knew that to Jo it had to seem like a long time, or then again maybe not that long at all. Up there time is not the same, plus you don’t always remember anything that happen. Well not at first anyway, Dean knew that piece by piece it would all start to come back to her. “Jo you have been gone for almost 3 years, I can tell you it hasn’t been easy with out you. I have missed you almost everyday, you and your mom.” He said with a smile. “I’m so sorry Jo for everything that happened, I wish so much I could have done something to help you. I should have kept you safe I’m sorry.” Dean felt like it was his fault that Jo was dead, and nothing was going to change that. He was forever going to kick himself in the ass.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - 12:41 With all that was going on around her Jo felt confused, worried, angry and a whole other mix of emotions that really, she'd rather not think about and being the hunter that she was she wasn't prone to expressing herself and she she answered Dean the way every hunter would because for some reason, they all had troubles showing a little vulnerability, to anyone. "Oh you know, I'm fine, I wanna get to the bottom of this more than anything."
She tilted her head briefly to the side as she was thinking and looked off into the distance in an almost dreamy state. "Or rip Crowley a new one you know, or whatever." She shrugged her shoulders while looking at Dean, by 'rip Crowley a new one' what she in fact meant was tear him apart the way the hellhound had her and make him suffer for all that he'd done, he was an annoying little roach that needed stomping out. Jo had suspected that she'd been gone a little while but three years, all though it seemed like nothing, sounded like an eternity when Dean said it out loud, had she really been gone that long? Well of course, why would Dean lie. Jo just needed to get her head on straight and get sorted with what was to do next. What was to do next? A place to stay, some new clothes and a bloody mobile phone charger, that was for sure, she needed to get up and running with everything, she was a hunter, it was what she was supposed to do and to her it was the reason she'd been brought back. Jo shrugged her shoulders at Dean, she truly did not blame him for how she'd died but she knew he placed a lot of the blame upon himself and in a way, that angered her a little, he wasn't to blame, her life, her actions, her choices. "Dean stop, there was nothing you could have done, given the chance I'd do everything the same way. We all did what we had to." and that really was how Jo felt in her heart, every time she ran the scenario over in her mind in heaven she always did the same thing, she always went back for Dean and she would have for her mom and for Sam too. "Okay then, well give me the run down, what's been happening since I've been gone?" Jo didn't hang around when there was hunting to be done, she'd wasted years at the roadhouse not hunting and she didn't like to just wait on the side lines. If there was a fight going down somewhere, she wanted to be involved, if there was an evil son of a bitch kidnapping people, she wanted to send that son of a bitch straight to hell, to Jo, she was always on the job and there wasn't a second to spare when she could be helping people. - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Dean could tell that Jog wasn't all the way fine, he could tell it just by the way she acted. But she wasn't going admit to it. She was a lot like Dean when it came to that, not wanting to show her emotions and hide how she felt. She wasn't one to ever show when she is sacred ether, but Dean knows there are times when they have done cases that she is. It was true even though she liked to act like a bad ass, there was still a part of her that was a sweet yet innocent girl.
She was sick of Crowley and all that was going on, she wanted to end this just as much as Dean did. "Don't worry we will he isn't going to get away with this." He told her. "I'm going to do a whole lot more to him then that, I'm going to make sure the son of a pitch never wants to step foot on earth again. That is if he can walk when I'm done with him." Dean said with a smile to the young hunter. He hated Crowley with a firer passion and has wanted him dead for as long as Dean could remember. Even when he gave them the colt saying that they could just trust him he never did, he just did what they had to safe the world as always.
Dean knew Jog was just trying to make him feel better and that it did have to go that way, but it still didn't change how he felt nor would it ever. He still would feel like its his fault for her being dead, and he still would be kicking himself in the ass. "Yeah Jog maybe so but it still doesn't change the fact that I didn't keep you safe, I mean you may be here and back but your mom isn't. Which does kill me that she is gone as well, I mean she was like a mom to me. She did a good job at being a mom too, if me and Sam didn't check in with her every so often man she would have are ass. I though it was great that she worried about us, just like she does with you." He told her. "Which is why now that your mom is gone I have to do just that, I will be keeping an eye on you now that she is gone just so you know." He knew Jog wasn't going to like it when he told her that, but that was just to damn bad she was going to have to deal.
She wanted the run down on it all, she wanted to know what had all went down since she had been gone. When really there was so much to tell, Sam dying then being brought back, along with losing his soul, which Dean had to get back. "Man there is so much to start with we could be here a while." He told her with a laugh. "Well Sam died as well and got sent to hell, he came back with no soul. Which let me tell you was not easy at all in the least to get back."

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - 12:42 Jo could hear her mother now, telling Dean to take care of her, there weren't many others her mother would ask to look out for Jo, true they knew a lot of hunters but there weren't many they trusted more than Dean and Sam, and there were more than capable of taking care of her though Jo was a bit of a free spirit, Jo knew they probably wouldn't be able to keep tabs on her at all hours of the day but she knew Dean would give it a try and that she'd probably have to check in with him every day or so or he'd lose his mind. Jo smiled at the thought of her mom bossing Dean and Sam about, she really did care for them the way a mother would.
It was time to get down to what had happened over the past few years and Jo was surprised to say the least, she hd not expected that. Going to hell was one thing but actually losing your soul? That was just insane. "Are you serious? God that sucks. Has he got it back?" Jo had so many questions on the subject of Sam losing his soul but didn't want to bombard Dean with all her questions at once, it must have been a really difficult time for Dean and she wished she'd been alive to maybe lend a hand through it all, but being dead and all kind of made it a little impossible. Maybe this wasn't the place for such questions, maybe it would have been better for Dean to talk while driving or somewhere they could get good pie, she knew Dean loved pie.
"Do you wanna make a move, just incase Crowley comes back with more of his demons?" Jo didn't really think Crowley would come back but at the same time if they stayed in one place he could, he could have quite easily planted a demon out the front of the building, disguised as a civilian to keep an eye on them while he gathered up a few left over demons with nothing better to do. Jo felt a little uneasy here with just Dean and the possibility of a whole lot of demon's gate crashing their catch up. It was the middle of the day but that wouldn't stop Crowley from causing a bit of a scene, he'd already made himself known once and caused a bit of a stir, she wouldn't put it past him to try again the longer they stayed.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -It did suck that Sam soul was taken, it was not an easy ride at all. But they got through and got it back, thank god Dean was starting to worry there for a while that he wasn't going to and he be like that forever. "Yeah he is better now, doing a lot better he really is pretty much the old Sammy again. Thank god I was starting to worry that I never would have him back again." He told the young hunter. "Yeah he pretty much is falling back into his old self again, being the same told same old Sam again"
Dean liked Jo's idea they did needed to get going in case he came back, he really didn't feel like dealing with him anymore today. He was more wanting to get Jo Settled in to the new town. She just had came back from the dead, all she needed to worry about was herself. That's really all Dean cared about right now, Sam and Dean could deal with the ass hat at a later date. Which Dean plains on doing, he has wanted his ass dead for a long time coming now, he was done with him. So his life would be coming to an end very soon.
Dean then looked at the clock that hung on the bar wall and realized they needed to get going, He needed to get, Jo needed to get settled in. She did just come back from the dead and all so she needed to worry about other things at the moment and not the Demon at hand. "Don't worry about him I will take care of him, you just worry about you OK Jo." He said while patting her on the back. "All right lets get out of her and get you a bit more back to reality." They then began to leave making there way out of the bar.
