----------------------- [/b]  -----------------------[/b] Cordelia was really enjoying the compliments, Benny could just keep them coming bu he was acting pretty weird. "Well, I do exfoliate," she told him with a smile. She didn't want to have bad skin, she had to look pretty at all times. Cordelia did have her lazy days sometimes, but even if she did have her lazy days she dressed pretty good if she said so herself. She wasn't sure why he would say that out of all things but she took it as a compliment and it seemed like he was just trying to be nice. "I'm glad someone appreciates my skin," she said with a little frustration. She had to tan and take care of her skin so much just to get it the way it was, it was a good thing she was dead before so she was the exact same and didn't have to worry about it...until she came back alive.
Okay, this guy was clearly up to something, why was he complimenting her so much? Cordelia should be used to being complimented but it just felt so weird to her right now. "If I didn't know any better I think you're trying to flirt with me Benny," she said with kind of a flirty smile. "So, is Benny short for Benjamin?" She asked the man curiously. She just wondered for some reason, she liked the name Benjamin but Benny was a nice name also but it seemed a little bit nickname like. So, the girl was going to flirt back of course because well he was pretty hot so why wouldn't she? She was single and she did need some fun, that was all it was about but it seemed like this guy would be more than fun, she could see herself falling for him.
Cordelia really did need to talk to Buffy and she was hoping she had the chance to right now. She wanted to get to know Benny of course but this seemed a lot more important, she needed to get rid of this tension like now. She didn't get why Buffy was so grumpy about the whole Cordelia and Angel fling, it never really happened anyway plus that was so a year ago. But if Buffy wanted to be annoyed a that and other things then so be it. The two had never really gotten along before but Cordelia was hoping that there was a first for everything and hopefully they could finally get things settled but Cordelia would have to see how the conversation would go because knowing her she would make it worse by being so blunt. "Thanks Buffy, because these grass stains are really annoying me right now," she smiled. Well they were getting along right now.
She looked at Benny who told her not to go and she couldn't help but smile for some odd reason. Just his words seemed so genuine. And then he had basically asked her out which made the girl surprisingly, really happy. "Yeah Benny, I'd like that," she said with a big smile on her face. How was he making her this smiley? There was just something about the man that made her feel good about herself. Apparently Buffy was going to leave the two alone together already, which she was more than fine with. Cordelia sighed, "Fine, I won't forget next time," hopefully she wouldn't. She took the cross and holy water and stuffed it into her pocket. Once Buffy left Cordelia looked back at Benny and said, "Well, I guess it's just you and me," she said with grin. She wondered what the two would talk about though. "This doesn't really seem private, but I guess it is since everyone here is dead," she said looking around at the cemetery. She guessed this spot was okay but a nice place with maybe a candle lit dinner would be totally better.

Benny didn't honestly know why he was acting this way. It wasn't like him, honestly. He only fell in love one other time and was as kooky over her as well. He nodded, pretending to understand what the word exfoliate meant. He made a mental note to look it up later, she was odd and it was gonna take Benny a while to understand her, but maybe that was a good thing.
He smiled at Cordelia. "Well, I was trying to, was I that bad at it?" He asked her with a chuckle. Yeah he was trying to flirt with her and he was glad she was flirting back, it meant she was at least a little interested in him. "Yeah... Benjamin Lavitte, at your service." He said, giving her a short little bow. He knew it might of seemed like an old fashioned thing to do, but then again, he was an old fashioned sort of guy.
Benny began to wonder what was up with Buffy and Cordelia. He wondered if there was anything he could do to help them get along better, Buffy was one of his new friends and Benny was hopeful that Cordelia and him had at least some chemistry, so he would like them to become friends again, if they were ever friends to begin with.
He almost beamed with excitement as she agreed to the date. "Thanks, Cordelia... I'm a little rusty on the dating front, but I will do my best to keep you entertained." He said with a smile, she was so amazing and he couldn't believe his luck that she said yes. He thought he was dreaming and was about to wake up any minute to a dimly lit room that was dark and depressing.
But he didn't, he remained awake, in this same setting. He watched as the two girls parted ways. He made sure to say "Nice to meet you Buffy, I hope we meet again." To Buffy as she walked away before he nodded to Cordelia. "Yes..." He said to her comment about being alone together. He looked around, realizing that this graveyard might now be the most romantic scene in the world.
"So, I guess you would like to get out of this bone yard and into a more romantic setting?" He questioned her, he didn't mind it, as he was use to the dead, but it wasn't what he would of pictured his first date with her being. "We can go get a drink, maybe dinner?" Benny offered, he didn't really know much about the dating scene now a days, not that he ever did.
He didn't really eat, as food just didn't taste that good to him, due to his.... condition. But if she wanted a fancy dinner, he would gladly take her, and he would try to eat, but he wouldn't enjoy it to much. He figured he could always order a steak as rare as possible, though that might give away to her what he really was.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Cordelia was actually pretty glad that Benny was trying to flirt with her, she needed some flirting time. Sure, she could probably get any guy in Richmond but they all seemed like total drags so she wasn't going to to bother with them. Benny seemed worth it though, so she would see how their conversation would go tonight, so far it was going pretty well. She was surprised that he was sticking around to her chattiness considering the girl could talk her mouth off. She wasn't annoying or anything, if anything she could keep a room full of gossip and just a good time.
Cordelia giggled slightly, he was a funny guy also. "Just a little," she said using her fingers to show how little. "But it's cute," she said with a smile. He was okay at flirting, she had heard worse plus his flirting was cute and just, she didn't know he just seemed like a really great guy. "Well...that was a little formal," she told the man. "I liked it," she gave him a smile. He was cute, sweet, AND old-fashioned god where had this guy been all her life? Clearly hiding or something because he seemed too perfect. She just felt like she really needed to know him first before she thought he was sweet because he could be one of those fake guys, but usually she got vibes when it was a fake guy but Benny...he just seemed genuinely sweet which was hard to find in a guy in modern times.
"Oh, I bet you will," she said with a flirtatious smile. Whoa! Where did that come from? Okay, she should not be flirting that hard with him but come on, he was hot and she knew he probably looked good with his shirt off...if only he'd take it off right now. Okay, Cordelia Chase get your mind out of the gutter before you get yourself in trouble! This girl clearly had issues and needed to stop while she was ahead. Cordelia had actually found it pretty funny how Buffy was just there listening in on the conversation but Cordelia didn't care, she was just really into the conversation to actually notice Buffy, that was until she had told them bye and left. Cordelia was just glad that her and Benny would be able to talk a little bit now about whatever.
"Okay, seriously are you a robot or something?" She asked the boy getting closer to him giving him a quick look to jokingly see. "Because good guys like you are hard to find," she told him honestly. Maybe his parents just brought him up all proper or something. "But yeah a romantic setting would be nice, or we could just sit outside somewhere because I already ate unless you haven't eaten yet...doesn't matter to me since this isn't our first official date this is just the pre-date," she told him with a grin. It was really easy to talk to Benny actually. "I guess we'll get to know each a little earlier than planned," she told the man with a smile on her face. She wondered how he knew about vampires.

Benny smiled at Cordelia. He was glad that she was at least as interested as he was. Benny was far from an expert when it came to dating. In fact, he was a novice and hadn't been on a real date since before he was turned well over 300 years ago. He had Andrea, but they didn't really date, it was more of an instant connection, kinda like this, only Benny doesn't have to worry about The Old Man messing it up this time.
Benny chuckled as Cordelia teased him a little about his ability, or lack there of, to flirt. "Don't worry Cordelia, my fragile male ego won't be to upset with you if you admit I cant flirt." He said with a smile. To be honest, he was just glad that she was flirting back and wasn't telling him to get lost and go to hell, he has been there and it is not a place he is eager to go back to. He was already enjoying talking to her and could tell she was a good talker, which was good.
Benny grinned shyly when she said that he was being a little formal and that she liked it. He knew saying that greeting someone like that was something that no one did any more, but if she liked it, and didn't frown upon it, and it only brought them closer, then it was a good thing. "My lady." He said bowing his head again to her, holding his arm out so that she could loop her arm around it. It was another formal gesture that Benny picked up somewhere.
He grinned again shyly when she told him that she knew he would do his best to keep her entertained. Cordelia's words hinted at something more then what Benny was talking about and again, Benny knew if he could blush then his face would probably be bright red right now. Benny of course didn't mean it like that exactly, but if she thought he did, and if their night so led to it, Benny wouldn't turn it down, in fact he would participate as best he could.
"You... you think I am a good guy?" Benny asked her with a small smile. Benny was happy that she thought that, and it might make a certain piece of news that he had to share with her sooner rather then later, a little easier for her to accept. It was clear she knew about vampires, and if she knew some of the vampires that Buffy claimed to know, then maybe Cordelia wouldn't be so freaked out about it. Still, Benny was nervous to tell her.
"Yeah, a nice romantic quiet place to talk in private would be better. I'm.. not really hungry." He said to her. Cordelia bringing up hunger to him made him just think about what he really was even more. Apparently he was giving off a good guy vibe, as she was the second person tonight to say that to him. So he found himself with a little extra courage. He led her to a park bench and he sat down on it and smiled at her.
"I hope this is a nice place to sit and talk?" Benny asked her with a small smile. "I would really like to get to know you, you seem like a wonderful person." Benny added to Cordelia as he looked at her, the light from the lamp post finally hit her face and he admired her face even more now that he could properly see it. Of course it wasn't all about looks for Benny, but that didn't mean that Cordelia didn't have it going on in that department.
Cordelia looked even more gorgeous in the park lamp post light then she did in the dimly lit graveyard. Benny had to tell her now, even if it meant her running away from him in fear. He didn't want to risk getting to attached to her, only to have her fear him, it was better to get it out in the open now. "Cordelia, there is something I have to tell you... I'm... A vampire." He said to her calmly, making sure not to say it in a way that might scare her, though it was a scary thing to say and hear.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] So the last time Cordelia had been on a real date was well...with Groo if anything but even they didn't really go out on dates as they stayed inside more for certain...things. She was a little rusty on the whole dating scene but she could easily adapt so it wouldn't be hard for the girl. She wondered what their date would be like though, she was actually pretty nervous for some reason and she didn't like that one bit, she didn't want to be nervous yet there she was standing in front of the man actually getting butterflies which wasn't a first for her but when she did have them it meant that the guy was special.
Cordelia laughed, "Fine, you aren't the king of flirting but you can get by," she said with a wink. He truly wasn't that bad, some of the stuff was well, different but other than that Benny was fine. He was just a really sweet guy so she had no reason to blame him for his inexperienced flirting. She didn't want to use the word adorable but Benny was just so...amazing right now. She didn't know him just yet but she truly wanted to find out about his life and she wanted to know what he had been through in his life, what he did as a job, and just everything. Maybe that would be too much talking in one night but she didn't care, she could talk all night.
"God! You're just so cute!" She said while clasping her hands. "In a good way of course," she didn't want him thinking that she meant cute in a puppy way, she truly meant cute as he was an attractive guy and kind. She needed a guy like that but the last guy she trusted and she thought was kind cheated on her. Then again Xander wasn't the nicest to her and she wasn't the nicest to him so that relationship was bound to die out at some point. And then there was Doyle, he was sweet but they never actually got to try anything with the dating which saddened her, but everything happens for a reason apparently. She wasn't one to believe that but she had met Benny so maybe it did happen for a reason. Cordelia linked her arms with Benny's and smiled at this formal gesture.
"Yeah, I mean why wouldn't I? You totally saved my life!" She said with a big smile on her face. "But that's not the only reason why you're good, you've just been sweet and not like any other guy I've met and that's sayin' something," she told him with a nod. She had dated jocks, losers, pervs, you name it she dated besides goth because well she wasn't into that. She wondered why Benny acted as if he was some evil person, if he was then Buffy would have dusted him or whatever a vampire does. He seemed like a good guy to her and Cordelia was never wrong about someone so she should be fine for now.
"Okay, whatever floats your boat," she said with a smile as they started walking to find a place where they couldn't be disturbed. Benny had found a park bench for them and Cordelia sat down. "Thank you Benny you're too sweet. I wanna get to know you too," she said with a smile. "You're just really interesting," she told the man. She couldn't wait to find out who he was and so on. Then he dropped the bomb on her and to be honest Cordelia wasn't that shopped. "Now, that would explain why you killed the other vampire so easily," she then went into thought thinking about it. "That was definitely anti-climatic," she told the man with a slight laugh. She had liked a vampire before, been there, done that. "Did you really think that you telling me you're a vampire would make me change my opinion on you? I mean you're still the sweet guy who's really cute," she said with another smile. "I'm glad you told me though, the last person I was sort of seeing was half-demon and...he didn't tell me until the night he died," she said a little sadly. "But chapter closed, I'm okay with you being a vampire," she said honestly. He may be all being forever but that was okay plus she didn't even know if these two were going to be dating for a lifetime, she'd have to see.

Benny couldn't help but smile at Cordelia as she admitted that he wasn't the best flirt in the world. He knew it already that he wasn't and chuckled at her. "You are not so bad yourself." Benny said, returning the wink. God he didn't know what it was about her that made him act like this, he wondered it it was fate meeting her like this or not, he liked that idea, as it meant he was brought back at least for some reason, whatever that reason may be.
When Cordelia said that she thought he was cute, he grinned shyly in return. Benny didn't think of himself as cute and cuddly, he had been told he is ruggedly handsome before, mainly by Andrea and a few others, but cute. He knew she didn't mean it like that, he knew she meant he was cute in a good way, he didn't know exactly what that meant, but he took it as a good thing.
"You are adorable yourself." He responded finally, not know exactly what word would be best to use that wouldn't upset her and landed on adorable. There were other words that Benny thought of stronger and less cutesy words he could use to describe Cordelia. Beautiful, sexy, gorgeous, hot, but he didn't want to sound like that was all he was into, he liked her personality thus far, and would love to get to know her better.
Benny grinned again shyly at her. "I would of saved anyone, I didn't know that anyone was as wonderful as you, but I would of done it if you weren't." Benny said to her, he hoped it sounded ok to her. He didn't view her as just anyone, and he didn't know she would be this amazing when he helped saved her, in truth Buffy did much more of the work, still it was nice knowing she appreciated him for it, and it did make him feel good knowing that a girl's life was saved tonight, at least in small part thanks to him.
Benny couldn't help but smile at her goofily as they began to talk. She really was awesome to talk to. He chuckled as she said that explained why he handled that vampire so easily and that it was anti-climatic. "Next time I kill a vampire for you, I will make sure to put on a much better show." He said partially teasing her. Though he would fight a million vampires for Cordelia if she wanted him to, so he was kinda being honest as well.
He was glad when she seemed to be ok with it, in fact it didn't seem to matter to her, she still liked Benny no matter what he was. Benny smiled at Cordelia, looking at her hand, and wondering if it was ok to hold it. "Honesty is the best policy, or so I am told. Yeah, I did think you might not like me after you found out. Not many people trust vampires." Benny said, it wasn't a judgement on Cordelia herself, it was a judgement on the human race.
Still he was thankful that she seemed to be on board. "Thanks for trusting me, your a really amazing person Cordelia, you probably get that a lot, but it is true." Benny said to Cordelia with a smile, he couldn't take it anymore and without asking he took her hand in his, kissing it softly. "Anything you want to know about me, I am an open book." He told her honestly, she could ask him anything she wanted and he would answer honestly.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] "Why thank you," she said with a smile. She wasn't really sure what to think of this man right now. He seemed like the sweetest guy ever and in a way Cordelia did want to open her heart to someone again, but what if she got hurt? If she trailed back all the way to high school she could see a girl with a broken heart, something that the girl wasn't used to. Fast forward a little bit to L.A. Cordelia had closed her heart once again but somehow Doyle was able to make her trust him and Cordelia was ready to be in a serious relationship but once again she had ended up losing the guy to death, another broken heart that had been made. It was like it was a curse for her to go into a relationship, she either got cheated on or the guy died on her, hell her and Angel might have had a relationship if she didn't die but she was glad that she did because looking back on that the two were just meant to be friends.
Cordelia hoped that Benny wouldn't do any of the things she had listed and hopefully Cordy wouldn't die either. It was just an endless cycle of getting hurt but Cordelia needed to trust her gut and her gut was saying to give this guy a chance, get to know him and see where it would go. She was excited for it but she was also nervous but that was what relationships were all about. The two were obviously not official or anything, this was just a get-to-know type of thing and he wanted to go out on a date with her, he never said anything about being his girlfriend...unless he was going to ask tonight then Cordy wouldn't object to that.
"Well Benny, you're just full of compliments aren't you? You really know how to make a girl smile," she said flashing a smile at the man. Gosh, she hadn't felt this way in such a long time...well she had been dead before so that doesn't count but she hadn't felt like this ever since Doyle. Sure, she had feelings for Angel but that was because the two were best friends and were really close and when in the supernatural world the only people you can lean on is the one who knows about it and Angel and her were leaning on each other but once again that was the past and they could continue their friendship in a brotherly and sister way. So, yeah it had been a few years since she had this feeling which made her even more afraid of the situation she was in.
"You sir, are gonna make me blush!" Benny was the exact type of guy to take home to the family...if Cordelia still talked to them. But she had another family and that was the scooby gang, she wasn't exactly close with Buffy, well not yet but she would be. Her and Xander haven't really talked yet but she was waiting for that day and her and Willow were actually becoming pretty close which she was happy about considering she used to bully Willow in high school, but a lot has definitely changed the past few years. She was just glad that her and Benny were actually hitting it off so far and she just really liked the man's personality, he was something else.
Cordelia had to laugh, the man was funny okay, she couldn't help it. He had the whole package if anything, she wondered if he had abs under that shirt...any who! "Thanks my knight and shining armour," she said with a wink. "I guess...it wasn't that bad besides y'know me being on the ground and getting a grass stain," she was used to being punched, thrown, kicked, and so on but getting grass stains or dirt on her clothing now that was just a no, no. It was so easy to talk to Benny which surprised Cordelia, she could talk so much but she talked even more with him.
Cordelia was actually extremely glad that Benny said he was a vampire, she didn't care or anything but it was nice to know. Doyle had waited so long to tell her what he was and that kind of hurt Cordelia but Benny did it right away which was a major difference. "Well, I trust a lot of vampires well actually only one, he's my best friend and he's dating Buffy," she told the vampire. "My motto is, trust anyone who doesn't sound creepy or wear shoes that give a dead giveaway of what they are and intentions are," she said which probably didn't make sense but it did to her. "You've passed obviously," she said with a smile.
"Um...not exactly, I haven't gotten that for a long time...until today because of certain circumstances but thank you," she said with a small smile. Maybe she would have gotten those compliments if she didn't just come back alive, who knew but she was glad out of all the guys that she had met, Benny was there and he was the best so far. She was sure he would be the best forever but she didn't know just yet what would happen to the two since the future was unpredictable. "Oo, question time," she said clapping a little bit. What exactly did she want to know about Benny? "Oh! Tell me about your past, what was it like? And you're hot so you must have met a lot of women," she said although she wasn't sure if she wanted to hear about the women because she could get a bit jealous. "And what made you come to Richmond? Sorry, I just have a lot of questions," she said with an embarrassed smile.

Benny smiled at her. It seemed like Benny and her were really hitting it off, despite their differences. She and him weren't exactly peanut butter and jelly, but it was working, and that was all that mattered. Sometimes opposites to attract, so it didn't surprise Benny he was just thankful that it was happening.
Aside from her striking features, she really did have a good personality and it made Benny feel human, which made him feel good. Sure, he probably hasn't seen all of her personality, and he was sure that she would hate some of his personality and the likewise, but that is what being in a relationship with someone meant, excepting everything about them and still loving them, even if they did stuff you didn't like.
He couldn't possibly imagine anything Cordelia doing would push him away in the slightest. She was like a goddess to him, once upon a time he could only dream of meeting a wonderful women like Cordelia that accepted him for who he was and he excepted her for who she was. He had that once before and thought any hope of finding it again was long gone, yet here it was.
Benny chuckled as she seemingly could talk ones ear off if she wanted to. He didn't exactly know what Cordelia was talking about, something about shoes. He couldn't help but look at his shoes and smile. Benny's footwear didn't scream seriel killer, so he shrugged. "I am glad, I would of been sad if you decided not to like me cause of my shoes." Benny said with a chuckle, he knew it would probably take time to get use to Cordelia speech and he didn't mind it to much.
Benny smiled at her. "Well, while I am around, you are gonna hear it every day, I promise." Benny said with a chuckle. Benny meant it, he would tell Cordelia that she was amazing every day, so long as she wanted him to say that to her and wanted him around that is. It was true, she was amazing, and he would let her know it to.
Benny frowned for the first time when talking to her. He knew she would want to know about his life, but he wasn't sure how he would react. He assumed she knew other vampires that went straight, so she might not be to shocked. "I was born in 1756 in France." Benny said to her truthfully. He hopped she didn't like math and would figure out how old he was.
"I moved to Italy with my parents when I was young, I grew up there for the most part. Yes, I can speak Italian and French." Benny said with a chuckle. "When I was 28, my family decided to sail for "The New World" to start a new life. I decided to go with them, as I couldn't bare to see them go away and never return." He continued, his voice getting a little more serious.
He debated not telling her the rest, but he decided to. "My mother died on the journey and my dad became desperately ill. They were just to old to make the trip. He died shortly after we landed in the new world." Benny told her, he didn't know if she wanted to know all of this, but it was important that she know about him, everything about him.
"When I was 30, I met my sire, The Old Man. He invited me onto his ship to become a pirate. I was broke, you see, and didn't have many skills, he turned me shortly after." Benny continued, his voice suddenly distant as if he were reading a book out loud.
"After he turned me, I spent the next 200 years or so helping him, eventually becoming his first mate. Then I met Andrea. She was a lot like you gorgeous, strong." He said speaking of her, he looked at Cordelia's face. "The only other women I have ever had real feelings for." He said answering her second question.
"We ran away, but The Old man caught us and he killed me. I spent the next 50 years in purgatory, just trying to find a way out. A few months ago, I was free, and I got my revenge on The Old man and now I am here, with you." Benny said to Cordelia. There really wasn't much else to tell, his life wasn't that amazing.
"I came here cause I am suppose to meet a friend of a friends, he wants me to watch over her as she just came back from the dead as well, and he wants me to protect her." Benny added, answering her finally question. "So tell me, Cordelia, about yourself. You must of had a way more interesting life then myself." Benny said with a smile.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Cordelia was just loving this feeling right now, Benny was a really great guy and she didn't know how things were going so well. Usually it was hard to connect with a guy and it took awhile but with Benny it was instant. Even with Doyle it took Cordelia a little bit to actually get to like the Irish man but with Benny it was just so different. The girl didn't know how to explain it but there definitely was something about Benny that the girl liked and she wanted to get to know him a lot better. She knew that the relationship wouldn't be easy, if they ever went down that road of course. She thought they would since they both liked each other, she was just waiting for him to ask her to be his girlfriend but maybe they needed to go on the date first.
She wondered what happen tonight, would she have a boyfriend and be committed? Or were they just going to leave things on a good note and see what happens in the near future? There was just so much that she wanted to know yet it seemed like there was such little time. The man was definitely interesting and he must have known that. Tonight was definitely a good night for Cordy to find Buffy, she was glad that she tried cause it lead her to Benny. She would have probably met Benny at some point if it wasn't tonight but it seemed like this night was the best to meet for some reason, like everything was in motion for whatever it was.
"Wow, seems like you've been through a lot," she told him. She was fascinated with his story for some reason. "But I think what's a turn on is that you can speak Italian and French," she said with a flirty smile. Gosh, imagine the things he could say to her in bed...okay Cordy so not a good time to think about. "Can you speak it to me right now?" She asked excitedly and curiousity in her eyes. "Any language is fine," she said with a big grin on her face. She couldn't help it, she loved when someone spoke in a different language, it was just so hot! He totally needed to speak it to her, right now but if he couldn't at the moment then that was fine.
He then wanted to know about her life but there was really nothing to tell...her life was boring actually, but she did have a lot of times where she went shopping or beat up a demon so that's a fun time. "Okay, but I don't think it'll be as interesting as yours," she said with a smile. "I was born in Sunnydale and went to high school, was of course smart, hot, popular, and a cheerleader," she said all confidently. "A lot of guys wanted me then but anyway I graduated and the school blew up because the mayor went into this giant worm then I moved to L.A. to become an actress...that didn't work out too well," she said with a sigh. She was glad it didn't work out considering she was in an alternate universe before and when she was in that she was an actress but Angel was in trouble and so was everyone else.
"So you know my best friend who is a vampire and dating Buffy? Well I ran into him and his friend named Doyle and we formed an organization to help people," she then started to frown remembering Doyle. "I started to like Doyle and he liked me but he never asked me out until the night he died, he kissed me and then sacrificed himself to save a bunch of half-demons including Angel," the memory was still fresh in her mind. "Doyle could see glimpses of the future so when he kissed me he passed it onto me but they gave me pain and I couldn't handle it but that's a story for another day," she said with a sad smile. She just wanted to get the gist of her live to Benny, not every detail of it.
"So anyway fast forward a little bit I ended up dying from some goddess girl or was she an ex goddess? I'm not really sure," she didn't really care that she died, it just seemed normal to talk about. "And then the Powers brought me back to help Angel and Buffy with my visions again and this time the visions don't hurt," she told him with a smile. "But that's my life in a nutshell, anything else?" She asked him wondering if he had anymore questions for the brunette. She was happy that they knew more about each other. "If not I think you should be kissing me right about now mister," she said with a smile. Maybe she was being a little needy or something but hey, the girl needed to kiss this hot boy now and see if he was a good kisser. This wasn't a test or anything, she just really wanted to kiss him.

Benny grabbed Cordelia's hand and held in gently. Her skin was as soft as he thought it was and he smiled as she didn't seem to pull away. That was a good sign that she wanted him to touch her, even something so innocent as hand holding, he gave her had a soft squeeze, not to hard and minding the fact he was a vampire and way stronger then her.
Benny smiled at her, she made him feel good. His night was already going good after meeting Buffy and gaining her support, and now Cordelia and him were seemingly hitting it off. Benny forgot what it was like to be with, to touch someone else and not be fighting for your life as he did it. For once, dare he think it, he felt normal and good, like he belonged.
"Yeah, you seem to have been through a lot as well." Benny said, with a smile. He chuckled as she requested he speak some french to her. He was a little rusty, having not really spoken it for over 100 years, but it came back to him quickly. "Vous êtes les femmes les plus belles que j'ai jamais rencontrées, mon amour(You are the most beautiful women I have ever met, my love.)." He said to her, he didn't know if Cordelia knew what it meant, so he said it tenderly and as if he were speaking to a lover, so she must of known it had something to do with romance.
"Yeah I figured she was dating a vampire, and he is your best friend?" Benny questioned her, he put two and two together and figured that is why Cordelia and Buffy weren't that close, because of their relationships with this vampire. He wondered who he was, he must of been one of the vampires Buffy mentioned a couple of times and was really interested in meeting him.
Benny decided to drop the topic, tonight was about him and Cordelia, and his quest for redemption would just have to wait. "So you died to?" He question her, though he supposed he didn't really 'die', he went to Purgatory, which he guessed was supernatural beings version of hell. Still it was interesting to find that they had that in common and he wondered what it meant.
"Who are the Powers?" Benny couldn't help but ask her. He wondered if these 'Powers' were the same people or beings or whatever that brought him back as well. But why would they bring a two bit vampire back from Purgatory was the real question? He didn't dwell on this subject for long when she told him that he should be kissing her right now.
Benny felt suddenly embarrassed. He looked at her face and could tell she was serious. Benny tried to think about the last time he kissed someone and fell on Andrea. It had to be Andrea that he last kissed, which was 50 years ago. So to say he thought he was rusty was a bit of an understatement.
Still, he wanted to kiss her, and if she wanted him to kiss her, then there was nothing stopping him right? Benny leaned in to her and placed his lips gently on hers, kissing her softly. Benny pulled away and smiled before kissing her again, this time a bit more passionately. Benny placed his hand on her side while his other hand still held her hand as their lips connected. He didn't know if she was enjoying it, but he sure as hell was.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Benny had grabbed Cordelia's hand and she didn't resist at all, she was actually waiting for him to hold it. She was happy to place her hand in his and although it was cold she felt warm. Maybe it didn't make sense but it made sense to her. She wanted to explain it but she just couldn't, she liked the way her hand was placed in his and his hands seemed rough but she liked that. And they were of course a hell of a lot bigger than her hands but that's what made it even better, it was kind of like a puzzle. She wanted to feel warm against him and it was only one part of her that felt warm and that was okay for now, she didn't know how long she would last. Okay, Cordy wasn't easy but come on the girl needed someone and these two were making a connection pretty fast.
"I guess." she said with shrug. "My life wasn't that interesting," she told the man. She didn't think that facing demons and always being in the face of danger was interesting, in fact she thought her cheerleading was way more interesting than the supernatural. She loved cheering, she was good at it and she learned pretty quickly, sometimes she missed high school. She listened to him speak a different language and her heart literally melted, could this guy get any better? "What does that mean?!" She said while being in awe. "You just became like ten times hotter Benjamin," actually using his full name for the first time. She could totally spend all night listening to him speak whatever he was speaking, she was wondering which of the two languages it was.
Cordelia was happy he asked that, she loved talking about her friendship with Angel because well the two had grown so close! "Yep! We became best friends when I moved to L.A. and then we had a thing for each other...I know totally gross but what're you gonna do right? Anyway totally over it and Angel told Buffy that me and him had a thing and that's why I want to get things in the clear with her but she is as stubborn as him!" She said with a sigh. Those two definitely needed to talk. "I've already told her that me and him would never like each other like that, it was a moment of weakness and we only see each other as siblings now if anything," she said with a smile. Angel really was like an older brother to her. He was family and she was glad that they could be so close.
"Yeah...it wasn't fun but I accepted my death pretty well," she said with a smile. She remembered that she had made her peace with Angel that day when they stopped Lindsey and then she was gone to watch over the people she had grown close with, her family. "The Powers are like gods I guess? I'm not sure how to explain it but they keep popping people out of their graves," she said with a roll of her eyes. The Powers really needed to get their shit together.
Cordelia leaned in and closed her eyes and felt Benny's lips on her's and he had pulled away and she opened her eyes and was going to complain but he smiled at her and went right back to kissing which made her extremely happy. She put her hands on his thighs to rest them while kissing him passionately. God! This felt really good and he was definitely as good kisser, and what vampire wouldn't be he must have had a ton of practice. Their lips were connected and this kiss was strong yet gentle. She rubbed his thighs a little bit not sure why she was touching him in a sensual way. The kiss finally broke as Cordelia pulled away. "Wow," was all she had to say. "No words can describe that," she said with a smile.

Holding her hand just felt so right for Benny. He couldn't help but give it a little kiss. He would hold it forever if she allowed him to, Benny felt really strongly for Cordelia, which was weird because he just met her tonight, he just knew it was right that they got together. That they belonged together.
Benny chuckled as she said her life wasn't that great. Her life sounded amazing compared to his own, and it was nice that she seemed humble about it. He smiled at her. "You really are an amazing person Cordelia." Benny said to her for perhaps the second time that evening, and he was sure it wouldn't be the last time he says it.
"It means 'You are the most beautiful women I have ever met, my love.' In french." Benny replied to her with a smile. Benny couldn't help but be embarrassed as she said it made him 10 times hotter. "Thank you Cordelia." Benny replied with a huge grin on his face. "You are hot no matter what." He added squeezing her hand softly.
Benny listened to her as she spoke of being friends with Angel and her relationship with Angel and Buffy, and the tension that it caused between Buffy and Cordelia. "I'm sure once you explain to her that you only see him as a friend that she will come around and get along with you." Benny tried to reassure Cordelia. He didn't want to butt in.
Angel must be the only that Buffy talked about, and he wondered about him. He thought the name sounded familiar but he wasn't sure. A vampire with the name Angel. It was either a sarcastic nickname, or he really was an Angel to others, maybe even a guardian Angel. Either way, he was highly intrigued by this Angel person.
Benny listened to her talk about her death. Yeah, he knew first hand death wasn't fun, and he couldn't help but give her a reassuring smile, she was back now and that was all that really mattered. He then listened to Cordelia talk about the Powers. He knew they must of had something to do with bringing him back as well.
Which didn't make sense to Benny. It seemed like they were bringing people back for a reason, but what possible reason could they have to bring back Benny? Benny pushed the thought out of his mind, and sense it seemed Cordelia didn't know much either he didn't press her on the matter.
"Well whoever they are, I owe them a lot for allowing me to meet you." Benny said truthfully with a grin. He looked at her face and as there lips met everything felt perfect in his life. Everything felt good and wonderful and awesome.
It seemed like she really enjoyed it as well as Cordelia seemed to be speechless over it, which was a first for her on the evening as far as Benny knew. She could talk his ear off, and since she didn't have anything to say, it must of been a good thing, right? Benny couldn't help but feel prideful as he hasn't really done this sort of thing with many girls.
Benny didn't know if it was ok to, but he place his hand on the side of her face and ran his hand through her soft hair. "Cordelia, I know it seems straight forward, and sudden, but." Benny began looking her in the face. His feelings for her were already strong, and if she liked him as much as he liked her, then she couldn't possibly say no, could she?
"Would you possibly consider being my girlfriend?" Benny asked her, he wasn't normally this straight forward, and he hoped that Cordelia wasn't gonna say no to him, he liked being with her and it would probably break his lifeless heart if she did say no to him, but he pushed the thought out of his mind and waited for Cordelia's answer.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Cordelia smiled when he kissed her hand. He was just too sweet and he was honestly the perfect gentleman. Maybe it was because he had been a vampire for years and got to experience so much, but then again Angel wasn't like that and Spike definitely wasn't like that. Benny was just that special, well that's what she guessed. He didn't have to be sweet, in fact he didn't even have to be good vampire, he chose to be good instead of evil which Cordelia was really glad about because she got to meet him and she could possibly end up dating him somewhere in the near future.
"Thanks, I try to be," she said while flipping part of her back with her hand. She was of course only joking, well sort of. Cordelia knew that she was hot and she also knew that she had a good personality so she wasn't going to pretend that she didn't when it was clear she did. People may see it as conceited and egotistical but really, she was being herself. She was a confident person and she wasn't going to pretend to be some girl with a damaged self-esteem that wasn't her, she was honest and it wasn't like she didn't accept compliments, she loved compliments because it did make her feel good about herself a lot more. Maybe it was wrong for her to think that way but she didn't really care.
"That so cannot be true but I'll take it," she said with a smile on her face. "I swear you came out of a romance movie," she told the man. It was so true! Like he totally came from a romance, right now Cordelia actually felt like she was in a romance movie. It seemed to be too good to be true right now, she thought she was going to wake up from this amazing dream, she wasn't sure where this guy came from but he was definitely amazing. If she was in a movie then she didn't want it to end, oh my god she just actually thought that, can you say cheesy? Yeah definitely...god what was wrong with Cordelia. The woman was obviously feeling mushy.
"Yeah, I guess they did something right," she said with a smile. "But trust me, usually they are asses like literally," she said with a roll of her eyes. The Powers could be so annoying actually, she hated them sometimes. They never really helped with anything, they just sat on their asses and watched as deaths were happening constantly. They never even helped Angel not even Buffy considering she was the slayer and deserved that help, but of course the Powers were jerks and did't want to. She'd never understand them and hopefully one day they would step in, when the big fight would happen...she was hoping that big fight was far away.
Benny had finally asked Cordelia to be his girlfriend which made her surprised but happy. She didn't know what she was getting herself into as she didn't know him too well but she did want to date him. "Consider? Of course I will!" She said a little excitedly. She then placed her lips on his his but not for long. "A girl comes back alive just a few weeks ago and now I have a boyfriend," she said with a smile. She wondered why he asked her out now, maybe he just didn't want to waste any time? "You are the only guy that has been so forward with me in the nicest way," she told him. No guy had been forward and if they had been they were jerks which were usually the jocks in high school and for some reason she liked that back then.

Benny didn't think that about himself at all. He did not think he was all that romantic. Benny had never really had practice at it, and what little he did, with Andrea, ended in tragedy. Benny supposed he just wanted to do something new, to be a good guy, to be a loving caring guy for once in his life.
He wasn't gonna tell Cordelia that. Benny wasn't about to make her change her mind. "I try." Benny replied to her with a smile at last. Whatever he was doing, was working, and he wasn't about to ruin it by telling her otherwise. Benny just smiled at her, glad that she only had good thoughts about him.
"I don't doubt it at all. I don't think there is anything you can ever do to make me think otherwise." Benny replied to her kissing her hand gently again. Benny didn't think of himself as a romantic, but he was trying really hard for her, and he wondered why he was never like this more before, he must of had chances, but he never gave into them.
He thought briefly about his past, how he would of never acted this way around anyone before he met Andrea. Cordelia had Andrea to thank who how he acted around her, as if it wasn't for Andrea, Benny would probably be how he was before, and that was a soulless bastard that really didn't care about anyone or anything.
Benny just smiled at Cordelia, not really knowing what to say to the fact that the Powers were usually asses. That couldn't be true, cause they brought back both Cordelia and Benny and were kind enough to somehow allow Benny to meet her. It couldn't be coincidence, it all had to be for a reason, Benny decided not to dwell on the subject, as if it was for a reason, he was gonna make the best out of it.
Benny smiled perhaps the biggest smile of his life when Cordelia said she would be his girlfriend. "You don't know how happy that makes me Cordelia to hear you say that." Benny replied to her holding her hand gently kissing her back as she kissed him, he groaned a little because the kiss wasn't enough, but he knew they would have plenty of time for that.
"I want to be honest, I don't ever want to lie to you, and I don't ever want to lose you." Benny admitted to her truthfully. He was fairly new at relationships, but even he knew that being honest was the most important thing at the beginning of the relationship, so he went with it and it seemed to be working.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] All Cordelia's life she had wanted a guy like Benny, someone who was sweet yet charming and could be funny as well as romantic, Benny seemed to have all the traits that the girl wanted in a guy. It almost seemed too good to be true but here she was sitting beside this man who was a really great guy and she was happy that he had an interest in her. He didn't have to considering he was a vampire, he could have anyone as he would never age but then there was Cordy who would age...yeah that was a road that they would not cross until later on if they had a successful relationship.
"Has anyone told you how freaking sweet you are Benjamin Lafitte?" She said as she perked herself up. She just loved saying his full name, maybe next time she would add his middle name. She was getting along with him and it was so easy to talk to him for some reason. Cordelia knew that there was a strong chance for her to fall hard for the guy and she was honestly afraid of that...she didn't want to get hurt whether it be him dying or him just doing something idiotic and hurting her in the end, she didn't want that at all and hopefully it wouldn't happen. The girl would actually have to open her heart up and let the guy in, which was a scary thing actually, but she had to do it.
Cordelia actually felt like she would do anything for the man and maybe it was because of all the compliments, she didn't really know but he honestly was changing her world. He may be the one where she could rely on and not worry for, well she would worry for him of course but she wouldn't have to worry about him leaving or anything. He may be the one to make her happy, the girl was already happy but she would be happier with him in her life, god that sounded cheesy but whatever. She didn't really know how to explain it but she could show him rather than using her words. It didn't matter that the two were different temperatures and he was never aging while she aged each day, she truly did care for the vampire who was clearly taking her heart.
"And I'm happy that you sir are my boyfriend," she said happily. She wouldn't have this night any other way, it was literally the perfect night, even with the grass stain on her pants. "So then don't," she said with a smile. If he didn't want to lie to her then he didn't have to and he definitely wasn't going to lose her. "And at this rate I won't be leaving you anytime soon, you're stuck with me," she said while giving him a peck on the lips. "So is there anything that needs to be cleared?" If he didn't want to lie then all of whatever was on his mind should be laid on the table right now.
