----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] Moving from a new town sucked especially if you had been away from your hometown for years and the only people you knew were the ones who you grew up with baby-sitting you were practically the only ones you knew. April parked her car outside of the Grill and grabbed her jacket and purse and walked inside the Grill. She was bored and wanted to make some new friends, but in a town where anything could happen who could she trust?
April shook the thought out of her head as she made her way over towards the bar and grabbed a menu and looked through it. She ordered herself a hamburger and a soda and waited for the waiter to bring her order to her. She thanked him and took a bite of her food.
The doors of the Grill flew opened and a beautiful blonde waltz into the grill like she owned the place and ordered herself a drink. The nerve of some people. Some people just didn't have good manners and were use to acting out just to get what they wanted. April shook her head and suddenly her eyes glanced over at April who raised an eyebrow up slightly as she ate her food. She watched closely as the blonde made her way over towards her table and sat down. "By all means help yourself," she replied as she looked at Rebekah with a raised eyebrow. "Who are you?" she asked as she looked at Rebekah and waited for her to reply.

The Grill, the local watering hole. Normally Rebekah thought she was to good for a place like that, but it was really the only place in town to grab a decent... bite. She approached the doors and looked around. Mmmm, lots of potential food around here.
She went up to the bar and decided to order a drink. The bartender started to sass her, asking for her ID. "You don't need to see my ID, I'm old enough to drink alcohol." She spoke to him, it was to easy to get her way and she thanked him for the drink and began looking around.
She saw a girl munching on a hamburger. She didn't recognize her from school, though Rebekah had only been attending for a few weeks anyways. She thought what the hell, might be fun to mess with her. She strutted over to her, her yellow dress showing off just the right amount of long legs that got the boys to stare.
Her black 4 inch heels made a distinct noise on the ground. Without a word, she sits down next to the girl. "Don't mind if I do." She knew the girl was trying to be sarcastic, but she didn't really care. The girl has sass, and Rebekah could respect that.
Most girls at school either feared Rebekah or hated her, but they would never admit it out loud. That was ok for Rebekah, she didn't need any of them anyways. "Hi, I'm Rebekah, are you new here?" She asked her trying to be friendly, which was odd for Rebekah.
She pushed the thought out of her head and decided that if this girl gave her to much lip, then she would just have to end her. Still... for whatever reason, Rebekah felt drawn to her, like they were suppose to meet today. She pushed that thought out of her mind, sipping her drink as she waited for her to answer.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] April watched as Rebekah strutted over towards her table and raised an eyebrow up at her slightly. Not many girls would randomly walk over towards a stranger and talk to them. She smiled when Rebekah introduced herself. She half expected a go to hell reaction, but who said all girls didn't have semi decent manners? "Nice to meet you, Rebekah," she said politely as she smiled. "My name's April Young and you could say that I'm a drifter who just moved back here a few weeks ago with my father." She finished drinking her soda and the waiter came over to their table and filled April's glass with more soda and she thanked him and watched as he winked at Rebekah. She finished eating her hamburger and wiped her mouth off. "Are you new to town or are you just a by passer?" she asked as she looked at Rebekah. She could smell the alcohol and crinkled her nose slightly. She wasn't much of a drinker. She cleared her throat and tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear and turned her attention back to Rebekah.
"I was about to head out and go shopping for the Miss Mystic Falls pagenant and could use some help in finding a decent dress since I want to win it. Would you like to go to the mall with me?" she asked as she looked at Rebekah and waited for her to answer. Hopefully she would go with April. She had horrible taste in dresses and really wanted to win the contest. Only thing she had to do was find someone to be her escort.

"Nice to meet you to, April. I'm new in town as well, came with my brother a few weeks ago." Rebekah replied with a smile. April seemed to warm up to her when she found out Bekah was trying to be nice. She didn't make friend's easily. And with all that was going on with Klaus and Stefan, she needed someone she could just talk to.
That was hard to do, she already intimidated most girls at school, so everyone hated her or feared her. So, meeting someone new in town was her only option. April seemed like a good choice and she didn't feel lonely right now. Klaus was so wrapped up in his Hybrids and didn't seem to really care at the moment about Rebekah.
And Elijah was daggered, she didn't want to get on Klaus'es bad side by undaggering him, so she had to turn to someone else. She had Noah and things were going well. She liked him and he liked her back, or she thought he did anyways, but that was different. Rebekah needed a girl friend, someone who she can just chill with, eat ice cream with when something bad happened.
She scoffed at the waiter. Yeah, like she would really give him the time of day. Bekah teased, and it was usually a way to get what she wanted, she didn't always use compulsion to do so, and didn't always have to.
She smiled at her. "Shopping?" She said. See that is what she was missing in her life most of all. Shopping with a gal pal, trying on pretty dresses. She smiled widely. "Sure... I'm not entered in the contest, I'm not a Founding Family member. But, if someone has to win, then I am gonna help them. Besides, it sounds like a lot of fun." She said truthfully standing up, setting her drink down.
Rebekah had decent taste in clothes, but she was far from an expert on the subject, but she felt she could help out April as best she could. "I will do my best, but... I haven't been that fashionable in decades." She said with a chuckle, she was fashionable... in the 20's. April didn't need to know that yet, but she would tell her eventually.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] April laughed when Rebekah scoffed at the waiter for trying to hit on her. "Not easily amused, I assume?" she asked as she raised an eyebrow at her. April only knew a few people in town so meeting another person would be interesting.
"I'm not a founding family either," she said with a shrug. "They changed the rules so the contest doesn't look like its founding families only at least that's what Caroline told me," she added with a shrug as she got up and smiled when Rebekah agreed to go with her shopping. "Great," she said grinning as she paid for her food. "Come on let's get going," she said as she led the way to her car which wasn't very fancy but it got her by. "Sorry if my car looks like crap can't afford fancy cars with a high car note," she said as she waited for Rebekah to get inside the car and once she did she drove off to the mall.
Twenty minutes later they arrived at the mall and she parked her car in the lot and got out of her car with Rebekah. "I suppose we could check out Dillard's first," she said smiling. "What do you think?"
April led the way to Dillard's where they had a bunch of dresses that were a little flashy. Some looked like they were made for tramps. "Urgh...that makes two of us who lack fashion sense," she said with a snort as she turned to Rebekah. "I'm going with a red dress."

She smiled at her. "Yeah, I already have a boyfriend. Besides, if I wanted his attention, I would of got it." She said with a shrug thinking about Noah fondly. It was odd calling a man who she has only spent 1 hour under the bleachers with and a date night with her boyfriend, but she doubted he would disagree with her.
"That's interesting..." Rebekah said with a shrug, normally she would have to enter a contest like that, and would probably win, she would expect to win, even if she didn't win fairly she would compel the judges or whatever to give her the win. But she was already backing April, and wouldn't run against her, unless they ended up hating each other.
"OK!!!" She said following April to her car, her voice was full of excitement, and she didn't even have to fake it. She wondered what in the world was going on with her, excited to go shopping? Excited for anything other then sex and blood? She shrugged, she knew there was more to life then she did on a day to day bases, but she was never interested in it before.
"Its ok..." She said looking at the car and getting in. "...I don't mind." In truth, she didn't really mind, she decided against telling her that her family was wealthy, you had to have gained quite a nest egg over 1000 years. They pulled into the mall and Rebekah shrugged. She didn't really know the names of stores now-a-days. She was in a coffin for 90 years.
"Sounds good to me." She decided to agree with April, figuring that April didn't live under a rock and knew better then Rebekah. She followed her to the store and started looking around. There where some pretty dresses. "Red? Yeah, I think it will bring out the color of your eyes." She said looking at April with a smile.
Rebekah was pulled to one rack in particular. "These are all so pretty!" She said excitedly, not even paying attention to the 'Newest Fashion Line' Display above the dresses. She looked at one red one. "Oh my god, this one is perfect and it is only 600 bucks!" She said showing it to April, not realizing that 600 might be to much for the girl to pay.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] April led the way into Dillards and started to look around. Why was she entering this contest for when she knew she no chance in hell of winning. Hell would have to freeze over in order for her to win. She was doing it to take her mind off of her father and whatnot. She looked up when Rebekah mentioned the dress for 600 bucks. "Geeze they sure don't mind charging an arm and leg," she replied as she walked over towards her and looked at the dress. It was very pretty indeed and she grabbed it and took it off the rack and went to go try it on. Nice. It was the perfect length and everything. "I like it," she said as she came out of the dressing room and showed Rebekah. "Not to flashy. Love the little sequins that's stitched into the dress. And you said you had no taste in fashion." She smiled teasingly. "Now I need some shoes nothing with a big heel. Can't afford to break my neck," she added as she walked over and found a pair of shoes that matched the dress.
She walked over towards the counter and paid for her dress and then turned to look at Rebekah. "You up for a medicure and pedicure?" she asked. "I want to get my nails done as well unless you want to do something else and we can wait for the medi and pedi." She smiled sweetly. "So what state or town did you come from before you moved here if you don't mind me asking?" April asked.

"An arm and a leg?" Rebekah asked checking the price tag again for the hidden print. Again, Rebekah wasn't dumb, even if she pretended to be sometimes, but she has been in a box for 90 years, so modern sayings were new to her. She shrugged.
"It is pretty." She simply said, trying to avoid the arm and a leg comment. "I didn't say I had no taste in fashion, just that I was behind on the trends." She said with a smile. Rebekah liked modern clothes, one of the few things she liked better then what she had in the 20s.
She watched as April went to pay. She briefly wondered how April was gonna pay an arm and a leg, but the guy didn't take them. "Oh... its a..." She stopped herself, she felt silly now, like the guy was really gonna take an arm and a leg from April. Rebekah chuckled to herself, 2010 was a strange place to be.
Oh manicures and pedicures. Rebekah loved getting those when she was human. She looked at her nails, perfect as ever. That was one of the downsides to being a vampire, nothing grew, hair, nails, nothing. She hasn't been to a beauty salon.. well ever.
She remembered getting her nails done in her village by a good friend of her families. Manicures and pedicures have been around for 1000's of years, longer even then Rebekah has been alive. She hasn't had one since then and will never have one again. She sighed inwardly.
"You can get one and I will just watch, ok?" She really wanted to be all girly and join April in a day of relaxation, but she couldn't. She never wanted to be human more then she did right at this moment.
"Well... I was in Chicago for what seemed like forever." She said honestly with a smile. She wondered how she was gonna break the news to April about her being a vampire. She never really had human friends before and didn't know how they would take it.
Should Rebekah just say it? Should she wait? She didn't want to freak out or scare April and have April be scared of her. Then again, not telling her was worse, right? Did April even know about Vampires? Would she even care that Rebekah was one of them? She sighed, looking back, this was kinda a bad idea on Rebekah's part.
Tags: April Words: 405 Notes: An arm and a Leg first appeared in print in the 50s. So I figured Rebekah being confused on that saying would be funny, *Shrugs* Also, i actually had to research some of this post. I have never seen a vampire get a hair cut or their nails done, so i figure they are dead, so that kinda stuff wouldn't grow. So if Rebekah cuts off all her hair, then it is stuck that way. I don't know, so correct me if I am wrong.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] April chuckled as she listened to Rebekah talk. She enjoyed spending time with her. She was sort of like the sister she never had unless one counted Elena and Bonnie who had known her since she was basically in diapers. She frowned when Rebekah said that she would just watch her get a medi and pedi. Well that simply wouldn’t do with April so she decided to beg. "Oh come on please get one with me or I'll feel bad," April pleaded as she looked at Rebekah with the most adorable lower lip pout playfully. "Don't you just want to get your streaked with different colors or get your hair fixed up for your boyfriend and add a little color to your dull nails?"
April found a cute little red jacket to match the dress and she smiled. "Oh my this is beautiful," she said as she tried it on and it fit her perfectly. “Lovely,” she said with a grin spreading across her face. She grabbed Rebekah’s hand and led the way to the salon and she grinned. “You may have perfect nails, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get them painted at least,” she said as she stuck her tongue out at Rebekah playfully. The woman in the salon greeted the girls and she prepared the stuff for the manicure and pedicure. “That wasn’t so bad now was it?” she asked as she smiled at Rebekah. “You look like you are about to explode with dropping a bomb on me so might as well spill it,” April said as she glanced at Rebekah.
Tag: Rebekah Words: 269 Notes: Interesting didn’t know the saying arm and a leg came in the fifties. As we discussed on cbox April technically wouldn’t know about Bekah being a vampire so she would just assume she doesn’t want to get all dolled up however since you said she should talk Bekah into getting one I did XD. Hmm…I haven’t fully decided if she should know about vampires yet. I’m going to go with a no on that part. She’ll need to find out eventually. Maybe after the Founder’s paganent a vampire can attack or something *shrugs*

Rebekah had no time to protest and was soon dragged behind April towards the beauty salon. She couldn't help but giggle as they finally got there. "Very well, I will get my nails done with you!" She said to April with a smile. She looked at the girl who wanted to do their nails.
"Can you paint mine blood red, I love the color red.?" She said, the women nodded and got to work. Rebekah enjoyed it and when they were finally done she smiled at April. She looked at her nails. "How adorable!" She said, suddenly feeling the urge to feed. Her nails reminded her of blood fresh from the vain.
She ignored it and simply looked back at April. "Thanks, April for dragging me there." She said with a smile. A million thoughts ran through Rebekah's head at once. If she told April, and April freaked, she could just compel her to forget.
But she didn't want to. "That is a lovely jacket." Rebekah said with a smile. Not much scared Rebekah, so she was shocked when she felt afraid to tell April the truth. It seemed Rebekah being in thought did not go unnoticed by April, she simply smiled at the other girl.
"Well..." She began looking April in the eyes. She shook her head at April. "...I'm just having a lot of fun and I am glad we did this, I don't make friends easily." She said with a shrug. It was not the right time to tell her.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] “Great!” April said with a big grin on her face as she dragged Rebekah into the salon with her whether she wanted to be there or not. After all the girl did agree to go with her so that meant putting up with getting all girlie. She watched as Rebekah told the woman what color she wanted her nails to be painted and watched as the woman painted them. She was having fun. Since she had moved here she hadn’t really put herself out there much less registered for school yet.
“Very pretty,” April replied as she looked down at Rebekah’s nails and smiled at her. “Thanks,” she added as she looked down at her jacket. She did like it and it would go with just about everything she had. April looked down at her nails once they were dried and was quite pleased with the French tips and red nail polish.
April looked over at Rebekah and listened to her talk about how she didn’t make friends very easily. She smiled slightly. “I bet all the girls are intimidated by you because you’re beautiful,” she said as smiled as she reached into her wallet to pay the lady for their manicure and pedicure and led the way out. Standing outside the mall was a handsome boy with piercing green eyes and black hair wearing leather who stood in front of April who tried to get by him. ”Now what’s your rush, sweetie?” he asked as he looked down at April. ”Why don’t you stay and play with me for awhile?”
“No thank you,” April replied as she tried to push the guy out of her way only to be blocked by him.

"Thanks!" Rebekah said admiring her nails. She may be ancient, but she liked getting girly as much as the next girl. "Your welcome." She added with a smile. She followed the girl around for awhile.
"Awww, thanks, your very pretty to." Rebekah replied, giggling softly. It was often she got a compliment from another girl. Rebekah knew that she was beautiful, so it was special to hear April say that to her.
Rebekah really was having a blast shopping with the young girl. It felt like she was normal for the first time in a long time and that made Rebekah feel good. "I just know your gonna win the contest, you cant lose with that dress!" She said with a smile to her.
They were leaving the mall when a guy stopped them. Rebekah rolled her eyes at him and inwardly cheered April on for telling him no. But then he stopped them from leaving again. Rebekah was confused at first when the guy stopped them from leaving.
But soon the confusion turned into anger. "Leave her alone, creep." She said to him, getting between her and April. "She said no, and that's that." She added, grabbing Aprils hand and attempting to pull her away from the guy.
He just stepped in Rebekah's way again and she scoffed at him. "Very mature, why don't you try to grow up!" She spoke harshly to him, stomping on his foot with her left foot. She could see the anger in his eyes.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] The man growled when Rebekah stomped on his foot and he gave her a death glare. "The bitch got some fight in her....I like that," he replied smiling as he touched April's face who swatted at his hand and he merely smiled.
"listen creep why don't you leave us alone?" April asked as she narrowed her eyes at the guy who merely chuckled.
"Why don't you hang with me and your friend can watch?" he asked as he stared into April's eyes tried to compell her. "You are not going to scream."
SMACK!
April took her purse and hit the creep upside the head with it and instinctively she tried to make a run for it, but the man grabbed her and sank his teeth into her neck and fed on her and she screamed. The guy smiled and continued to drink her blood which tasted delicious. "Please....just let me...go," she said faintly as she swung her purse and knocked the creep upside the head again and his head twisted to the side and let April go and she ran over towards Rebekah while holding her neck. She was absolutely terrified of what the hell was going on.
April looked down at the ground and found a piece of a broken broomstick handle and she picked it. "....Bekah," she said as she handed it to her and then she collapsed to the ground while holding on to her neck. There was a lot of blood and she felt light headed and the more pressure she applied on her neck the more of a mess it made. Why did that guy attack her? She hadn't done anything wrong.

Rebekah's eyes narrowed in anger as the other vampire bit down into her friends neck. Before Rebekah could react, it seemed like April was able to fight out of it. April picked up a broom to fight him with but she passed out giving it to Rebekah.
Rebekah didn't need a broom to kill this vampire. She growled angrily, her eyes darkening and the vains around them showing as she rushes up to the vampire and slams him against the wall. "You don't know what you got yourself into!" She yelled at him slamming his hand into his chest and pulling his heart out in one clean jerk.
The vampire collapsed to the ground and Rebekah looked back at April who was bleeding badly. She approached April and smelt her blood. Rebekah stopped at first, feeling the need to feed take over her body. She eyed April's body, fighting the urge.
She couldn't feed on her, she had to help her. She finally fought it off and picked April up and sped off towards her house. She laid April on her bed and looked at her with genuine worry in her eyes. She can tell the young girl was still alive, but only just so.
She bit into her wrist and fed the blood to April. "Come on April, open your eyes!" Rebekah screamed at her, legit crying that April wasn't gonna wake up. She tried forcing even more blood into Aprils mouth, now crying loudly.
"Wake up, please." She said laying her head down next to Aprils. She finally made a friend as she has to die? It wasn't fair. "Please wake up April, I need you." She said sadly.

----------------------- [/b] -----------------------[/b] April felt someone put something warm in her mouth and she coughed a little and opened her eyes. She couldn’t make out who it was that was feeding her their blood and she could have sworn that it was Rebekah. She didn’t fight when Rebekah fed her blood to her. She drank it and her neck started to heal and she fell asleep for a few hours. She was tired from the lack of blood lost. She started to come to when she heard Rebekah begging her to wake up and she opened her eyes slowly and looked up. “Urgh..what happened?” she asked as she slowly sat up and looked at Rebekah. She put her hand on her neck and didn’t feel it bleeding. In fact the only thing she felt on her neck was some dried up blood and she blinked. “What…how…there was a lot of blood…What was that that attacked me?!” April asked as she started to freak out a little. The girl had just been attacked for no reason so it was legit for her be all shook up about the whole ordeal. She wrapped her arms around Rebekah and hugged her. “I am assuming that I have you to thank for saving me and for bringing me here to safety,” she said smiling as she blinked back tears from her eyes. “So thank you, I think,” she added as she got up and grabbed a towel and walked over towards the sink and she wet it to wash off her neck. “I’m a little tired other than that I am fine,” she said as she tossed the wash cloth in the hamper and she grabbed pot and two cups along with two tea bags. “Mind if I make us some tea?” she asked as she put some water in a tea kettle and let it boil.
