The brunette’s eyes widened when she realized exactly what Lexi had freaked out about. She had seen more than her fair share of vampires being thirsty so she knew that in order to soothe the hunger she would need to feed and a lot. It occurred to her fairly quickly that other than the blood to actually fully transition her into a vampire Jenna hadn’t actually fed since becoming a vampire. Now granted for most of that she had been gone but that didn’t mean that her body knew that which meant it had been literally starving for quite some time.

She remembered talking to Katherine once about desiccation and about how the blood continued to pump away, rubbing against someone’s veins like sandpaper. Wait, no, maybe that was what Stefan told her when she asked him. Either way she knew that it was painful and she prayed that Jenna wasn’t feeling like that. Not that she would desiccate being that she had been gone for most of the time but was that what she felt like now waiting for a taste of blood? Would giving her blood satiate the hunger or thirst she guessed or would it make it worse? She really had no idea.

“It’s not going to bother me. However I’ll be right back.” She told her, rolling her eyes at Lexi for emphasis. “It’s not like I haven’t dated a vampire for the better part of a year and a half or anything Lexi.” She told her with a laugh, hoping to make Jenna feel better though she was well aware that this would be awkward for everyone involved. She quickly ran upstairs and grabbed Jenna a change of clothes and set them in the bathroom along with her toiletries that they had moved out of the bathroom but had never actually moved. She knew that Alaric had been sleeping in her parents room due to not wanting to the memories of Jenna so fresh to be taken down and for that fact alone right now she was grateful.

Setting clean towels and the remainder of the things that Jenna would need in the bathroom before making her way back down to the kitchen and standing on the other side of Jeremy, knowing why Lexi was standing in the middle of them. She knew that bloodlust often took over a vampire’s entire being and she also knew that with the blonde vampire around they would be safe. Not that she feared her aunt because she didn’t but Jenna had only been a vampire for a short amount of time meaning that she didn’t know how to control herself.

She shot a look at her younger brother and quirked an eyebrow, silently asking him if he was okay with this. She knew that out of all of them that Jeremy would have the hardest time with dealing with Jenna as a vampire since he wasn’t a huge fan of them to begin with, plus the fact that he felt as if they were taking over the town…which admittedly they seemed to be. She didn’t want him to feel awkward but she did know that they had to deal with it head on.

Hearing Jenna’s words she sighed and moved, holding up her hand to keep Jeremy where he was. She looked Lexi dead in the eye before moving around her, letting her know that she knew what she was doing. She saw Jenna drinking the blood with a face and she smiled, standing next to her and placing her arm on her shoulder. “Your home Jenna, and you’re staying home.” She told her, her hand simply resting on her shoulder as her aunt drank her first meal as a vampire.

She could see Elena’s eyes widen at the thought of her aunt drinking blood but it wasn’t in fear or disgust, more in realization. She wouldn’t have even thought about it had she not been a vampire for so long so seeing the acknowledgement and acceptance in the brunette’s eyes would go a long way to soothing the ruffled new vampire. “You are not going anywhere.” She agreed once Elena had come back into the kitchen and Jenna had tried to bolt. “You need help getting through this and we are just the people to help you. You don’t to go through this alone…trust me.” She told her kindly.

Lexi herself had gone through the transformation and learning how to survive. Granted it hadn’t been her creator’s choice but she had made sure to leave as soon as she was created, hating the man who turned her. “Did Stefan or Damon ever tell you about me?” She asked Jenna but turned to Elena in question since she figured she would be the one to know the answer. When Elena shook her head she nodded and turned back to the confused vampire. “Sit down, let me tell you a quick story.” She told her, pulling out a chair and sitting directly next to where Jenna was standing, motioning with her eyes to the chair in front of her.

“You know that Stefan and Damon are very different. Damon prefers to drink human blood from people but he’ll drink it from blood bags if he has to. Stefan however has a very low tolerance, well, really no tolerance, for human blood. He goes insane when he’s on it…he becomes what we know as a ripper. It means when he tastes human blood, he loses his mind. He will rip and tear into someone’s body to drain every bit of blood out. That’s what he did when I met him. That didn’t last long…because I wouldn’t let it.” She told her, not going into the how’s or why’s or anything of that nature as it wasn’t a pleasant story and she didn’t want to scar the already skittish new vampire.

“I’m a stubborn bitch and I don’t take no for an answer. So when I say that I’m going to get you through this…don’t question it because I won’t accept anything less. Ask your niece, ask your nephew…I’m a pain in the ass and I don’t have any qualms about admitting it.”

Jeremy could tell that she did need to feed, it seemed like the hunger had hit her like a ton bricks. She wanted Blood and she needed it soon, good thing Lexi was there in case Jenna were to lose it on them. They might need her strength, because Jeremy doesn’t think he could ever hurt there Aunt Jenna. It would not be easy having to take her down nor would he want to. He could tell that even Jenna was scared of what could happen. “Yes Aunt Jenna you should be here.” he told her. “Once Lexi helps you out you will be just fine, trust her she knows what she is doing.” Jeremy wasn’t one to ever trust a vampire, but for some reason he has always had faith in Lexi. She had done such a great job taking care of his sister, and he will always be thankful for that.

Elena quickly had made her way up the stairs, he knew she must be up there making sure everything would be just right for Aunt Jenna. She did the same thing for her when she found out she be living with them, right after there mom and dad died. Those were not easy times for them at all, and they weren’t easy on Jenna ether. But they will never forget how no matter what she stood by them, through tick and thin. Now it was there turn to return the favor, it was just going to be hard living with Jenna now as a vampire. They all were going to take some time adjusting to all of this, epically Jenna she never was one who cared for vampires. But now she was one of them having to live and deal with this. That is if she could? Elena had made it back down the stairs standing next to Jeremy, he wondered how she was doing with all this just as she did him. “So how are you doing, I mean with all this?“ He asked her.

Jeremy smiled when he hard Lexi still trying to get through to Jenna, it seemed as though for some reason she felt she didn’t belong there which she did. But it seemed as though Elena would knock some sense into her, as she walked over to Jenna telling her she was home. Jeremy couldn’t stay still, plus the sight of her drinking blood wouldn’t bother him. “Yes Jenna this is were you belong with us, we can be a family again.” he said giving her a smile. It really was great to have her back, it was like they were all one big happy family again. Now all they had to do was tell Alaric.

Jenna didn’t want to hurt Elena or Jeremy. She didn’t want to do anything that could possibly hurt them which is why she felt like she should leave. She didn’t want to leave them but the hunger inside her was strong. It was hard to fight it off now that she knew it was there. Before she had been so concerned about Elena and Jeremy, about seeing them that she hadn’t realize the hunger was there. She wasn’t ready to be around them right now and she realized that. Why no one else did she couldn’t understand that. She just didn’t want to hurt them.

Elena left and went upstairs. She said that watching her drink blood didn’t bother her but was that the truth. Jenna didn’t know. For all she knew Elena could have a problem with watching her drink blood and being a vampire. Jenna wanted to leave but Lexi wouldn’t let her. Jenna had drinked the blood before Elena came back down. While Elena was still upstairs Lexi had told her about herself. She told her who she was and that she would help her with this. She didn’t know if any of them understood what she was going though right now. Lexi probably did since she was a vampire but she just didn’t know how she could stay here when she felt this hungry. Would it ever go away? Would it ever dim down by drinking blood? Now after hearing Lexi’s story would she ever be able to drink human blood from blood bags. She was now but would she be able to control herself or would she be like Stefan and not be able to tolerate it.

Another thing that was on her mind was would be able to control herself around Alaric as well. Should she even go see him? She didn’t want to hurt him either. She wished everything could go back to the way it was but that wasn’t going to happen either. She was a vampire now and she would have to deal with it. She hated it though because everything was just so heightened. Her emotions were off the charts right now and she didn’t understand why or how she was feeling like this. Her guilt from not taking better care of Jeremy and Elena were overwhelming her.

Elena came up beside her and told her that she was home. She smiled a little at her niece glad that she was being so welcoming even though she was a vampire that couldn’t necessary control herself. Then Jeremy came in and said that this was where she belonged and that they could be a family again but could they? Would she be able to control her hunger so that they could be a family? Those questions were haunting her mind right now while she sat there at the counter staring at the cup that had the blood in it. Her hands were wrapped tight around the mug like she did when she drinked coffee. She nodded not looking at them; she wasn’t able to say anything. She had no idea if she would be able to stay there if she could be able to control her hunger around them.

She felt a cool breeze hit her and she involuntarily shivered against it, noting with a shake of her head that she still only had on a bra and panty set under a hoodie and a pair of yoga shorts. She hadn't realized that she would be here for this long but because of such she knew she was going to have to leave to grab something else to sleep in. She really needed to start leaving clothes more than just one or two places, but that was a different topic for a different time. She really needed to stop getting so sidetracked half the time.

“Okay, so here’s how it’s going to go.” She stated, standing up with her hands on her hips. “Elena, you are going to take Jenna to her room and help her get situated. You’ve got vervain on you and you’ve got a dart in your back pocket, yeah don’t think I didn’t see that young lady. I’m so proud.” She stated, hamming it up a bit to make everyone feel a bit more comfortable as she knew the whole situation was a tense one. She didn’t know how things were going to go but she was confident that for tonight at least everything would be alright.

“Jeremy, you are going to call a certain few people to give them a heads up to steer clear of the house for a few days. After that you can either go to bed or head over to Matt’s, Tyler’s Bonnie’s…” She stated before catching Elena’s glare and continuing. “Okay, not Bonnie’s. Anyway, somewhere else or you can go to bed. I am going to run back to the boarding house, grab some clothes, and then I’ll be back. You guys okay on your own for a few minutes?” She asked and upon receiving a nod she sped out, leaving them to their own devices.

She knew if Stefan knew she was leaving Elena by herself with a new vampire he’d freak but she had faith in Jenna that she would not harm her niece or nephew. She could see the immense love she had for the two teens and that over everything would win out. She had once told Stefan that love was the greatest emotion a vampire could feel, and she believed in that to this day. Nothing she had ever seen would change her belief on that.

Even though in the coming months things would definitely try.
