---------------------------- ---------------------------- He smirked at Faith’s comment. “Oh he adores being the older brother since apparently hat means I am still two years old and he can still boss me around. One of these days I plan to sit on him just to prove that I’m bigger than him and can indeed squash him. One of these days it’ll happen.” He stated, laughing at the thought before shaking his head. “Nah, too much trouble. I’ll just ignore him until he goes away. Which granted he won’t but oh well, a guy can dream I guess.” He shrugged out, not really knowing why he was still talking but not really caring either.
He nodded at the comment that the brunette made. “Unfortunately that’s what we get for getting into this life. I know how that goes. What’s even more depressing is that no one will ever really know what any of us did. We’ll die in some terrible way, if anyone is left by then we’ll be buried or put to rest…and that’s it. We’ll be lucky if we are even a name on a headstone so trust me, I understand. Most of my family doesn’t even have headstones…they are just burned ashes so there is no chance of anything happening to their bodies. It is depressing…but someone has to do it.” He told her before continuing.
“I did get away once. I left after my father and I had gotten into a big fight and I went to college. Was in my last year too before my brother showed up telling me our dad was missing. I went with him for a weekend, one weekend, came back, and found my girlfriend…she had been murdered by a demon. I don’t know why my brother had stuck around but he busted into the house and dragged me out. After that I went with him for the next two years hunting the damn thing that killed her. We finally found it and we killed it…and yet I didn’t walk away then. After that there was nothing to go back too so why would I bother?” He asked with a shrug.
“That’s really what one has to do. Find something that’s worth walking away for or stay with it until you die.” He stated in an uncharacteristic tone before taking a deep breath, wanting to get away from this particular conversation.
After jumping out of the now dug up grave he was not at all surprised when Faith took the match and threw it in. The fire burned in front of him as he nodded. “Yeah, ghost should be gone. Unless he had a lock of hair or something stashed somewhere which has happened more than once and in which case things turn into finding a needle in a haystack but that’s about it. Now poltergeists and spirits, different things there…but ghosts…regular ghosts…this is how you get rid of them.”

--------------------------------Faith couldn’t help but smile as she heard him talk about his brother. Must have been nice to have someone around, someone you could actually trust, family. She never really had that. Well most people who were like her, slayers didn’t really have their family to help them deal with that kind of stuff. It was one of the difference between slayers and hunters most likely. Slayers didn’t have anyone other than their watcher. At least before they didn’t have anyone but now the slayer was not alone and she had other slayers that could actually understand her, it was something that didn’t get to happen quite often.
When he said that he would simply sit on Dean, Faith laugh. “Hell I’d pay to see that.” She told him. “I think older brothers are supposed to annoy you to no end it’s part of the job description or something.” Faith nodded at his comment. “Yeah the thank yous are really rare in this job…” she told him, most of the time people simply picked up and left running the other way when their life would be saved. And truth was, Faith had never felt comfortable with the whole thank you for saving my life part. She felt far more comfortable to have them run away from her than stick around. It was then that Faith realized it was most likely harder for him to have a family that knew how it was because it meant they were more likely to die.
When he told her how he had gotten back into the life style, Faith couldn’t help but feel bad for him. He had wanted to be normal so much and yet it had ended up blowing up in his face. It was a shame really. “I’m sorry.” Faith said softly. She had never really been one to express feeling or anything like that so this clearly meant that she actually was sorry for him. She was not one to say things because it was what people wanted to hear. She was not one to make sure she was politically correct. She told it like it was. And well it really did suck for him, trying to have a normal life only to end up having it ripped away from you in such a cruel manner. Faith wondered if things would have been different had he not left that week end and she was pretty sure he had wondered the same thing over and over again.
“okay so let’s say I’m stuck with a poltergeist. How do I deal with it?” it was probably things she should have already know but she had never really paid attention in Slayer’s workshop. “I’m sorry you most likely don’t want to talk about it.” She told him. Faith had started to feel rather lonely lately and well it was nice to have a conversation with someone else. A few years ago she would not have followed him here, so talking to him would have been out of the question but she had soon realised that she was not as strong as she thought she was and she could use people around her. It felt safer for her, as she was afraid that one day she would end up going back to her old ways.

---------------------------- ---------------------------- He chuckled and shook his head. "I don't mind answering questions. Hell trust me when I say I'd much rather answer them now then in the middle of a fight." He told her with a shake of his head, his hair moving as he did. He really needed to get a haircut. It was something he had reminded himself of daily and yet something always happened and he got distracted which meant that he had to put it off for another day. Unfortunately that was his life for the moment and really for the foreseeable future. Something always got in the way of what he wanted to do.
“Sometimes poltergeists are just like ghosts in the way that you can salt their bones and burn them. Unfortunately it usually seems as if they are holding on to something else, not their physical selves and finding out what that is can be a bit tricky.” He told her, thinking back on all the ghosts and poltergeists they had gotten rid of over the years. "If it is haunting a specific place you can take Angelica root, Van Oil, Crossroad dirt and a couple other things that I can't remember off the top of my head and put it in the north, south, east and west corners of the house. Unfortunately this doesn’t work on all of them as it all depends on the strength." He continued, thinking about Missouri Moseley and the old house in Lawrence.
"Then there is the weird part about ghosts harming poltergeists and destroying both the ghost and the poltergeist but it's almost impossible to get a ghost to agree to kill another ghost and itself." He told her with a wink before groaning as he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He laughed after he pulled out his phone and read the text message. It was from Dean and he was pissed at him for taking the Impala. “Listen, my brother is about ready to have an aneurysm if I don’t get his car back to him.” He told her with a shake of his head, finding it amusing that his brother was so annoyed. Dean was Sam’s best friend as well as his big brother and yet for some reason the two still loved annoying the other.
He handed her his cell phone with a smile. “Make you a deal, give me your number and we can get together again. Maybe you can show me a few moves on how to kick vampire’s asses a bit better.” He told her with a wink, waiting until she had stored her number in his phone before hauling his stuff up in his arms and heading towards the Impala.
He could easily see him and Faith becoming good friends.
