- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - She sighed as she stepped out of the shower. She knew that this was one of the stupidest things she had done and yet even that knowledge would not let her break a promise to her best friend. She had made a promise many years before that every day on his birthday they would be together, no matter what he was doing or who he was with. She had never broken that promise and this year would be no exception, regardless of whether or not he was competing for the douche bag hall of fame…which he was most likely going to win.
Originally she had planned on just the two of them going out for drinks but after recent events she figured that the least she could do was include other people that cared about him...not that he would give two shits about anything besides drinking and doing god knows what to other women...she probably didn't want to know. However at least this way everyone got to have some fun before the night went to hell because according to Elena that's what happened in Mystic Falls at dances and parties...things went to hell...often. She had heard enough stories about the past to believe her too…so again she asked herself why she was doing this.
Oh yes, because she was much too moral for her own good…especially for a vampire.
It didn't take her long thankfully to pick something out to wear. She pulled on a pair of skin tight black leather pants and paired it with a silk pink top that let her show off her shoulders. She slid in a pair of hot pink earrings that barely showed through her blonde curls but they were still cute so she didn't care. Her daylight ring in place as well as another older looking ring that was actually a locket style with a piece of vervain in it. She pulled on a black blazer simply for show that she knew would be lost before long but figured it worked for now.
The last piece of the outfit was her favorite heels in the entire world. They were hot pink with sculls and a zipper on either side. She loved them but rarely got to wear them since they were pretty specific. She gave herself a final look in the mirror before making her way down the hall only to stop when she saw the young woman brushing her hair as she looked in the mirror. "You okay?" She asked, and wasn't surprised when no answer was given. She knew that Elena wasn’t happy about this party or that she was being forced to go, but Lexi knew that if anyone had a chance at getting Stefan to flip his humanity back on it would be her…which was the reason she had to go.
She made her way over to her and rested her hand on the brunette’s shoulder, feeling her jump at the touch. “Hey, I’m going to go set up lights and such at the old church. Will you be okay getting there by yourself?” She asked, and received a scoff and a nod in return. She waved once before blurring out the door and towards the ruins. Not much was going into setting up but they had brought out some booze earlier in the day that was in the entry of the tomb underneath. She had said bring your own booze but she had at least contributed a little bit.
Hopefully Stefan would appreciate it…though she doubted he would.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She had been in her room for two hours and had made very little progress on getting ready. She had argued with Lexi for an hour before hand on curling her hair and yet she had finally won, telling her in no uncertain terms that she did not want to be mistaken for her ancestor tonight. Just because she and Katherine had called a temporary truce did not mean she was going to start dressing and acting like her. She could only imagine how that would go over with…well…anyone at this so called ‘birthday party’ that in Elena’s mind was a disaster in the making.
She stared in the mirror back at herself as she ran a brush through her brown hair. She had left it straight but curled the ends in so it gave her a bit of wave and looked a little dressier than her normal every day style. Not that she really cared because again, this was going to be a disaster, if she had anything to say about it a very short disaster, but she also knew that if she argued with it Lexi would just do what she wanted anyway so might as well compromise as best as possible.
She stared in the mirror though not really seeing herself, no, she was staring at the picture that was still stuck in the side of the mirror. It was a small picture of her and Stefan right at the beginning of their relationship. The smiles on their faces were ones that she hadn’t seen in a long time, long before Klaus had made his way to Mystic Falls. She had taken the rest of the pictures that she had down, not wanting to be mocked continuously for what she didn’t have, but this one she couldn’t bring herself to remove.
She jumped when she felt Lexi's hand on her shoulder, meeting her eyes in the mirror. She nodded and listened before she was alone again, though this time she knew she really did need to start getting ready. She had picked out something modest while still being a little dressier than normal which was what the party planner had been going for apparently. Slipping on a flutter sleeved royal blue shirt she paired it with a pair of black skinny jeans. She really hadn't anticipated going in heels tonight but unfortunately nothing else matched so on went a pair of knee high boots that she was sure would be the death of her before the end of the night.
The finishing touch was her black leather jacket, well, one of them, that she wasn't even sure why she was bothering to bring since she doubted she'd have it on long but it was cool right now and she hadn't had a thing to drink hence the jacket. Moving towards the door she stopped as she caught sight of her mirror once more. She stared for a moment before reaching around and unclasping her necklace, setting it down on her vanity. She rifled through her jewelry box before pulling out the locket her parents had left her, the one that she had found at the lake house only a few short weeks earlier. It had apparently been something they were planning on giving her for graduation as they had assumed she would know by that time that she was adopted.
The locket itself was simple, silver and round. The clasp at the top had a sapphire stone on it which gave it a bit of color. The front had the Chinese symbol for 'daughter'. The back had her full name. It was the inside that meant everything to her. Both her mother and her father had written something inside...something that was so them that the first time she had looked at this she had cried. Reaching into her nightstand she pulled out a small piece of vervain that she had left over from making everyone's necklaces and bracelets what seemed like forever ago. She slid it carefully into the locket before clasping it shut and putting the necklace on, feeling protected and yet still empty.
She was out the door seconds later and heading towards the ruins of the old Fell’s church. Dread and Excitement warring within her.

Being his birthday, Stefan knew Lexi would want to get together. She has spent his birthday with him since, well since he met her all those years ago. He knew that this was just as much about his birthday as it had been about Klaus and what he was doing. Part of him wanted to see his best friend, he knew that even though she thought he was acting like a total jerk, that she still wanted to make his birthday special.
Typical Lexi, in those aspects. She would probably give him quite the mouthful of anger at some point during the day, and if that fails, she might even slap him around a little, though probably not enough to kill him, hopefully anyways, she would not hold back in the least and Stefan will feel it. Despite this, he knew he had to be there this weekend.
Stefan, able to talk getting the weekend off from Klaus, just hopped one thing. It was the only hope for the weekend that Stefan really had, and that was to not run into Elena. He didn't know how he would react if she looked at him with those sad, brown, doe like eyes, he would probably melt right into her arms, breaking down. He couldn't though. That was the problem, the dire repercussions of such an action, turning his back on Klaus, were so horrible in Stefan's mind, he couldn't risk it.
Never the less, Stefan couldn't help but want to see Elena as well. Even though their relationship was always seemingly on the rocks, he still loved her. Well, Stefan loved her, Ripper didn't give a damn. And every time Stefan thought like that, he knew it made them farther and farther apart from each other. Stefan, finishing the bag of blood, he decided it was time to get ready for meeting up with Lexi, not knowing her plans, he figured dressy casual would work best.
Approaching his closet, he grabbed a nice button up navy blue long sleeve shirt. Not wanting to over or under dress, he grabbed his best pair of blue jeans and his leather jacket. Completing the outfit, he grabbed a silk scarf, his favorite, one that Lexi gave him around 10 years ago for his birthday. All of a sudden, Stefan began shedding a few tears. He knew he had people that cared for him, and that was the hardest part of all this.
Ugh, this is why he wanted his emotions off right now. He placed the scarf around his neck and washed his face off with water. Damn these emotions, sneaking up on me. He looked himself in the mirror, his eyes looking back at him, he could swear he see's disappointment in them. A shock look on his face, he punches the mirror, shattering it. An overwhelming anger building in him now, and then nothing, his emotions gone, switched off again.
He looked at his hand, a shard of glass sticking out of his knuckles. He pulled it from the wound and watched it heal almost instantly. Tonight was gonna be a long night, and he could only hope that an... incident like this doesn't happen again. Grabbing his car keys and looking at the time, almost 11:30, he was given clear instructions to meet Lexi at the Ruins of Fell's church. Considering for a moment this was a trap, he pushed the thought out of his mind and left his room, he would go no matter what.

----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline had been dreading this day. Why? It was Stefan's birthday. She had no clue if she should even get him something or just rock up to this so called birthday party knowing that really it was a complete intervention. The dude had lost his feaking marbles and yet he was getting a party thrown in his favor. However Elena must be in pretty bad shape over all of this and Care needed to be there for her best friend. She wouldn't let her get hurt, not after all the times he had managed to hurt her. She loved Stefan, he was a good friend and a good mentor but Elena was like a sister to her. She would always come first when it came down to their epic relationship. Stefan just needed to be reminded of what it had been like when they had been together. Either way this night was not going to be pretty, no matter what way you looked at it. It was going to be a painful most for most of the people who knew him well enough.
Stepping out the shower she shrugged into her bathrobe and started on her hair. She was leaving it down today but figured she should have it straight at least. Make some kind of effort to seem as though this was going to be nothing more than a fun birthday party. At least that was what Lexi and no doubt Elena were planning. She blow dried her hair and steaightened taking her time. She didn't care if she was late or if she was the last one there even. This was going to be hell on all of them. Finishing off her hair she ransacked her wardrobe. She didn't want to wear a dress out there so she figured looking nice with jeans and a shirt would have to work. She grabbed a black blazer she used when she ws dressed up and donned that as well. Putting on some socks because she knew she was wearing her boots with her skinny jeans she went back into the bathroom.
She got started on her make-up and knew she was going to be late. Adding foundation and more eye liner than usual. She preferred to look as though she was going to be herself and yet she was planning on being a bitch. She added some eyeshadow and gloss of her natural lip colour and smiled slightly at her reflection before letting out a deep breath. Pulling on her knee high suade boots she grabbed her bag with her phone and her keys and extra make-up just in case and headed out the door. Her mom was working late but she already knew that Care had a party. Of course the sheriff wasn't planning on raiding the place for underage drinking as these kind of things went on all the time. She got in her car and headed for the place the party was being held at. Who ever thought a party being held at the old ruins was a good place needed their head checked.
Caroline started driving and wondered how Elena was feeling. She would go on a whim and say not good. The girl did not need to get hurt again, this was not the best idea really. However Lexi was good at this. She had done this for him again and again and maybe this was going to be a good thing after all. Caroline had hope which was not always a good thing. Hope meant it could be destroyed and she really wanted this to work, she really wanted her friend back and for Elena and him to be happy as they had once been again. She had missed those days of being slighlty jealous of the two of them. She had enough guy drama the least she could do was help with someone elses. She parked her car and saw her few cars were already here, including Stefans. She let out a soft sigh and got out locking it behind her and headed out towards where the party would be.

Stefan had arrived at the Church. His stomach instantly in a knot. He expected and was prepared for a lot of things, a surprise party was not one of them. He remained in his car, hoping the blacked out windows and barely lit sky would keep people from seeing him. He watched as a few people piled into the building.
He considered for a moment leaving. Not even getting out of his car, just take off and catch up with Klaus. He knew this would turn into more of an intervention then a joyfull occasion. He spotted Caroline, heading into the building, she clearly noticed his car. With a ping to his heart, he finally came to the realization that through all this, he never once considered Caroline's feelings.
He had been there for her, promised that he would be there for her. Another ping, this time on his phone. He sighed, trying to forget about letting Caroline down, and then another ping, this time in his heart again. Elena texted him back, 'Yes I do... Happy Birthday.' The guilt flooded him all at once. In a moment of brief needing, wanting Elena, he texted back, 'It would only be happy if I had you.'
He looked at his phone, hesitating to hit send, but he finally did. More emotions hitting him at once, what if she didn't want him back. He couldn't bare to read her next message, and turned his phone off. He noticed that of the cars that were there, Elena's was one of them. He sighed, he had to see her, or leave. Those were the only two options. "Come on, turn your emotions back off!" He said to himself, slapping his face, as if that was gonna help, it didn't.
He slowly stepped out of his car, closing the door behind him, letting the cold air chill his already cold body. If your emotions must be on, at least pretend they are off. He thought to himself and approached the Church. He entered the area, his best guess that the bulk of the party goers would be. Spotting Lexi and Elena instantly. his heart sank, Elena looked gorgeous tonight, but he could see the sting on her face.
He approached the two, doing his best to ignore the birthday wishes from people he passed, people he knew, people he cared about. He looked over and saw Caroline, he nodded his head at her, letting her know she was in his thoughts as he approached Lexi and Elena. "Hello beautiful's." He said, trying to keep his voice steady and neutral.
"You didn't have to go through all this trouble, Lexi." His voice broke a little, but he tried playing it off as clearing his throat. This sucked, his best friend, his true love, and everyone else he cared about and for whatever reason, he could not shut off his emotions. He inwardly cursed himself for his weakness, he had to remain strong, no matter what he wanted.

------------------------------ ------------------------------ It was finally Stefan's birthday and Damon wasn't sure how this even would turn...into the two fighting and both Lexi and Elena becoming pissed at Damon for ruining whatever they had planned or it could go perfectly, but when did anything ever go perfectly? Damon wasn't really dressing up for anything because well there was no point to so he went with his jeans, shirt, and of course his signature leather jacket as usual. The party was at a church after all so did it really matter if he please the girls or god who was apparently watching over? Nope, so he was just going to show up whenever he felt like it, not early but not really late either. He just hoped he wasn't one of the first ones there and if he was he was hoping it wouldn't be only him and Lexi, hopefully Elena was there with her.
Damon wasn't too sure if going to the party was a good idea though, he was already pissed at his brother and things were awkward with him and Lexi considering the two had almost done it at the bar, it was a close one but they remained clothed...and didn't do anything that was rated R maybe PG thirteen but that was about it. And Damon wasn't really sure what to tell Sophia exactly...he hadn't cheated but if anything he was pretty darn close to it and that really wasn't okay. When Damon was drunk and horny his mind usually got fuzzy so no one could blame him for that...well maybe they could but it didn't matter anymore and he would go to the party acting like nothing had ever happened at the bar and he was hoping Lexi would do the exact same.
Damon decided that it was time to get to the church and he drove there parking beside a random car, wondering whose it was. He got it and went to the church with a roll of his eyes, he really didn't know why he was there. He spotted Stefan, Elena, and Lexi and smiled a little bit at the sight of them but he made sure it faded quickly and walked over to them. "What do we have here?" He said with a smirk. "Is this the party because it doesn't seem like one," he told them honestly. There were only a select few people here. He didn't mind much since they could all talk, or did Damon really want to talk? Maybe he could just get drunk instead.
"I'm assuming, no, I'm guessing Stefan is still an ass?" He asked both girls ignoring Stefan just for the fun of it. "Oh, yeah you're here didn't know you'd actually show up to your birthday, I thought the Ripper had better things to do," he was looking around now wondering where he could get a drink. He had a problem with Stefan and that was him being annoying and causing hell, Stefan was supposed to be the stable one while Damon was unstable not the other way around and that had to change quickly. He didn't want to be an ass but the way he spoke made it seem that way and he honestly didn't care and that was because he wanted Stefan to feel anger or something, which probably wouldn't work but it was worth a shot at least.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - It didn’t take her long before she was at the entrance of the ruins to which she quickly walked downstairs (though not using vampire speed in case someone who wasn’t in the know came early) and picked up the drinks and ice that she had brought over earlier. She quickly leaned everything up against the stones and such (everything was in a couple of coolers) and got to work on setting the lights up in the trees. Last but not least she set the large stereo that she had specifically brought several sets of back up batteries for down and turned it to one of the numerous CDs that she had brought, all of which were filled with Stefan’s favorite music.
The first song that played she smirked at, laughing as the familiar lyrics soared through the air. It's all the same, only the names will change. Every day it seems we're wasting away. Another place where the faces are so cold. I'd drive all night just to get back home The lyrics brought back simpler times which was ironic in her life but she simply danced around putting up the remained of the lights as she remembered the concert that she and Stefan had gone to.
Before she knew it she heard cars pulling up, something that she was grateful for. She knew that most of his friends would come but she didn’t know about the random party goer since for one, Stefan wasn’t exactly a social butterfly and two, knowing him, he had been a dick for the past several months and really, who wanted to party with a jackass? Apparently she did because she was a masochist of some sort but then again, she was a vampire…she was supposed to like pain right?
Eh, who knew.
Elena arrived first, which the blonde was actually surprised about. She was actually betting on having to send Jeremy to go drag her ass here but nope, there she was, looking really sexy if Lexi did say so herself. Lexi had never been one to beat around the bush, it was just her way. Smiling at the brunette she waved her over. "Hey, don't look so sad. Everything will be fine. I am Lexi, I am all knowing." She told her with a wink before biting her lip as she saw more and more people coming by. "Isn't that your friend Caroline?" She asked, not as familiar with Elena's friends as she was with some others.
She quirked an eyebrow as she saw Stefan's approaching figure, saying a mental prayer (which was ironic on many different levels) that he wouldn't make people scream or cry. Hearing Stefan's voice she quirked an eyebrow. Hmmm... This was different. This was...weird. Yeah, something was off. She didn't know what it was quite yet but she'd figure it out. "Happy Birthday." She told him, leaning in and giving him a huge before giving him a firm slap on the ass. "Go get a drink birthday boy...and I do mean alcohol. No snacking on the guests." She wagged her finger at him, though the threat in her voice was real.
Another voice spoke behind her and this time she did let out an audible groan. “Great, the reason that I am slowly turning into an alcoholic is here.” She told anyone around. “I now need a drink.” She stated, walking towards where she had put the alcohol and grabbing a beer. She prayed Damon wouldn’t say anything but she knew he most likely would.
Yep, her night was off to a fantastic start.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -It didn’t take her long until she was pulling off onto the side road that led towards the old ruins. She refused to be trapped into staying when she wanted to leave so instead of driving straight through she maneuvered her car onto the actual side road though out of the way and parked it, figuring she’d rather walk than be stuck there all night. Usually parties were alright with her, hell she at one time had been quite fond of parties, however she did not have good feelings about tonight and she knew most likely sooner rather than later she was going to want to bail…something she had already warned the hostess of the party of.
It took her a couple minutes but before long she was walking towards where she saw Lexi standing. She could hear music playing but she could also hear other music from the cars pulling up behind her. She nodded at the blonde and shook her head when she told her not to be sad. She fingered the locket around her neck, the one that hadn’t belonged to Stefan at one point and smiled half heartedly. “I’ll be fine Ms. Large Ego one.” She told her with a laugh and nodded when she asked if the person walking towards them was Caroline. “Hey Care.” She told her with a smile, leaning forward to hug her best friend before freezing as she heard a silky voice that she at one time longed to hear.
She didn’t want to do it but she turned to look at him, her heart breaking she took him in. He looked good, but then again he always did. She hadn’t ever been repulsed by him, even when he was covered in blood, even after he had bitten her. She had wanted to be wrapped in his arms even as he was screaming at her that if she got near him he would drink her and not be able to stop himself. Nothing could stop her from loving him…she didn’t want to stop loving him.
That didn’t mean that she wanted to be near him at the moment. All the cruel things he had said to her came rushing back and she prayed that he wouldn’t say anything like it tonight. Calling her a human blood bag, telling her that she was pathetic because she still had hope, they had all cut into her deeply, something that she doubted anyone would really understand. She knew that he had been rude to everyone else but he had played on the things that she held dear to her and it bothered her.
More than she could say.
She watched as Lexi hugged him and for a moment she thought about doing the same but she held herself in place. “Happy Birthday, Stefan.” She told him quietly . “I actually dropped your present off at the boarding house earlier so when you get home it’ll be there.” She told him with a shrug. It was nothing big and had she not ordered it a few months before hand she probably wouldn’t have given him anything since they were at the moment nothing but exes but she had ordered it when they were together and she wanted him to have it.
Before she could say anything else she heard Lexi’s groan and looked up to see Damon had entered the group. “Damon, must you cause a scene everywhere?” She asked him with a roll of her dark brown eyes. She knew that he was trying to act as if he didn’t care that his brother had gone off the deep end but after spending most of the summer with him she knew him better than most ever got the chance too.
Laughter bubbled from her lips without her consent as Lexi sauntered away after saying something about becoming an alcoholic. She couldn’t help but mess with the blonde as she called out over the music and crowd. “Oh yeah Lexi, I forgot you told me to keep you away from Damon when you were around alcohol. Something we should all know?” She asked, laughing again at the glare that she shot her. Shrugging innocently at the people around her she smiled mischievously at Damon. “Should I even ask or just make something up that’s a lot less likely to have me end up in therapy?”

Post by Stefan Demetrio Salvatore on May 5, 2013 14:21:27 GMT -6
----------------------- -----------------------
Stefan got all tense when he heard Damon's voice. Remembering the incident at the grill a few days prior, Stefan would do all he could to avoid confrontation with his brother, at least, in his current condition. "Brother, Maybe he does, but they can always wait." Try as Stefan could, he could not turn his emotions back off, and that was the best comeback he could come up with, and it wasn't much of one.
Lexi ordered him to go get a drink. "I wouldn't dream of hurting anyone tonight." He said with a grin, though inside, he did dream it. It was like a nightmare more like. He had dreams, almost every day since Klaus forced him to gorge himself on human blood. Dreams of sucking the life out of everyone he knew.
Maybe not dreams, but thoughts. He would constantly find himself thinking about ripping the throat out of Jeremy, or even Elena, or any number of his Mystic Falls non-vampire friends. He couldn't help it, he tried not to, but it just happened. That's why he was The Ripper, no matter how he felt for the person, it was hard for him not to sink his teeth in.
"You didn't have to get me anything Elena." He replied at last, keeping his voice neutral. He knew if she, or Lexi found out his emotions were on right now, they would beg him to try and keep them on. Even if he could, he seemed to have no control over it, he wasn't sure he would want to. Sure, he could keep them on, then what? Take Elena home, and pretend like nothing happened. If only it were so simple as that.
He didn't know when they were gonna come back off. Could be in the next few minutes, maybe not till tomorrow, maybe not at all. But if they ever did turn off, and he were alone with Elena, he doesn't know if he would be able to stop himself, the blood lust was... controllable so long as his emotions were on and he cared about the person, but off, he wouldn't know what he was doing before it was to late.
Even if he could control his lust while his emotions were off, would Elena ever really trust him again? She has seen him kill people, she has even gotten bitten herself, all under Klaus'es orders. How could he repair that. He could tell her he loved her a million times a day and she still might not believe it.
"I think I will have that drink now." He said at long last, going over to the bar type area Lexi had set up and grabbing a beer. He looked at Lexi. "So..." he began to say, almost stopping himself. What was he gonna say, thanks for the party? There was little to nothing Stefan could think to say with his emotions on that wouldn't blow his cover.
And then it hit him, for whatever reason, his emotions turn back off at once. He looked around. "Must of been your idea to have the party in this place, great choice Lexi." His voice laced with sarcasm. Then again, as simple as a light switch, his emotions turned back on. He inwardly cursed himself for saying that, why, why was he doing this to himself.
One minute he didn't care, the next, he cared to much. It was pure torture on him. Was he subconsciously torturing himself for what he has done? Maybe he was fighting the compulsion, and so sometimes he was able to break it and other times he wasn't. Maybe Klaus was somehow messing with him?
Whatever the reason, not only did it make Stefan miserable, but it seemed to make everyone else so as well. "Lexi... I..." He started to backtrack, but why, why backtrack? Ripper Stefan just came up with a great line and now he wants to take it back.
As much as he hated himself for it, that line was the perfect cover up. No way Lexi would suspect his emotions were on if he said that kinda stuff to her. "You really out done yourself this time." Again, making sure to lace it with as much sarcasm as he could muster, he would just have to hate himself later for it.

----------------------- ----------------------- Lenore glanced at her reflection in the mirror. A white t-shirt, dark blue jeans, and black ankle boots. Yeah she looked good. But was it good enough for this party that Willow had invited her to? Oh, she hoped so. She wanted to make a good impression here. Hopefully, she would. But what if she didn't? What if she just ruined everything? Oh calm down, Lenore. You'll be fine, she thought to herself. She wasn't going to ruin anything. She had fed a few moments ago so there was no risk of her losing control. And that was always a plus. The last thing she wanted to do was have the bloodlust overwhelm her and accidentally hurt someone at the party. But that wouldn't happen. She would be fine. She would go to the party, she'd meet new people, and she'd have a good time...especially since she was with Willow. Willow...Oh, even the thought of her name excited the vampire. How could I have gotten so lucky with her? she wondered. It was no secret that vampires and witches didn't necessarily get along, but she was glad that the two of them were getting along. And she was glad that she had been invited, though she wasn't sure how smart it was to invite humans to a vampire's birthday party. She then mentally shook these thoughts off as she realized that she still had to get ready. Yeah, the shirt and jeans were nice, but she still needed to do something with her hair. She looked in the mirror, holding her hair up and back. Sexy stewardess, she thought to herself and then released the hold she had on her hair, running her fingers through it trying to create waves, and then positioned it on her shoulders. Boozy housewife, came the thought. Well, neither of those were the desired effect. Maybe she should cut her hair. It'd be a different look. She wrinkled her nose at the thought. No, she liked her hair long. But what could she do with it? Ah heck. She'd just go with her hair up. She could use a night where she looked and felt sexy. Besides it would be fun. With that, she grabbed some Bobby pins, putting her up, and letting some strands of hair lay on her neck. Yeah, that was good. It was still up and yet the strands that were down gave her a fun look. Willow's gonna lose it! she thought to herself. She couldn't wait to see the woman's reaction. With that, she grabbed a hotel car and a pair of keys, walked out of the hotel room and headed for the car she had rented, got in, put the car keys in the ignition, started the engine, and drove off. Hmm...I think I should get a place here. I mean, if I'm going to be seeing more of Willow, I might as well get a more permanent place, she mused to herself. And getting a new place meant buying herself a car. After all, if she lived in town, it didn't really make sense to rent a car all the time. It wasn't like she was the richest woman who ever lived, though she had saved up quite a bit of money for herself over the years. These thoughts faded as she continued down the street, following the directions, she had gotten with her invitation until she reached her destination. Once she was there, she parked the car, turned the car off, took the keys out of the ignition, and then opened the door and stepped out. Then, she let out an unneeded breath and walked into the establishment and then looked around, hoping to to see either Willow or Lexi. -----------------------

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Willow quickly was getting ready excited for this date that she was going on with Lenore, she couldn't wait there first bit date with one another with a group. She had got word about this big party being thrown for this vampire by a friend that Lenore knew, and with Willow wanting to meet some of her friends she knew this party was going to be perfect for them to go to. She couldn't wait! Even if it was a party full of vampires it still seemed like it was going to be one heck of good time. Willow had to make sure she looked her best tonight, she was so nervous witch she didn't know why most dates she never felt like this. It was almost like she had butterflies and was going to be sick. But it was a familiar feeling that she did remember once before, it was when she first started seeing Tara. She would feel like this exactly same way, but it was a feeling that Willow really had missed. It was because she knew that she had found it, that feeling that she missed and wanted so long again. Finally it was back in her life again, Love. It was something that Willow was sacred she would never have again, but finally she did and she had found that with Lenore. Finally she was ready to go party as she began to make her way to her car off to see Lenore. When she was there she quickly found a place to park her car, hoping this was in fact the house. But she knew the best thing really to do was wait till she saw Lenore. Sitting there she finally saw a car pull in, she knew right away it was her. The witch got out in excitement happy to see her. Walking over she looked her up and down amazed at how beautiful she looked. "Wow you look really wow, babe you look great tonight."Willow said to her with a smile. She then walked over to her laying a kiss right on her cheek. "So have you seen your friend here yet?" She asked her. "I'm ready to head in whenever you are." ----------------------- ----------------------- Caroline made her way towards the church ruins. Although Stefan's car had been there it wasn't as though she could see him right now. Maybe he had ditched the entire idea of a party, it was what ripper Stefan would do. Well that or just come to kill everyone present and hope there was someone he could drain who was here. Caroline hated to think of her friend that way but knew that was the way it was at the moment. More than anything she knew how badly Elena wanted him back. She was still in love with him and probably always would be. Care wanted the two of them to be together, they gave her hope that her epic love was still coming and there was that chance. Maybe it was Klaus. The thought crossed her mind and she shook it off. She still hadn't seen him since she slapped him and wondered if he was coming here tonight as well.
She saw Elena and Lexi were already here. They were the hostesses technically and she smiled. Elena approached her first and gave her a hug. Caroline returned the gesture, this was going to be a hard night on all of them. "You look gorgous" She said softly and followed through with a smile. She watched as Stefan arrived next and she took a hold of her best friends hand. She gave a slight nod to Lexi and then watched as Stefan slowly approached them. She recieved a nod and he she nodded back. She looked over at Elena wondering what must be going on in her friends mind right then. "I'll be over there if you need me ok?" She spoke towards her friend whilst gesturing towards the make-shift bar. Drinking would definitely be needed tonight, it was going to be hard enough as it was. Caroline moved over and grabbed herself a beer. Keeping it light might be the best way to go. She had no doubt Elena would need the escape tonight and someone had to be there to hold her hair or help her get home even. Care took a seat on part of the ruins and watched the party as it started to come together. She noticed Damon arrive and watched as he instantly made a beeline for the small groupd. She rolled her eyes, yeah she could imagine that wouldn't be going down too well really. It didn;t take long for Lexi to walk away, Care wondered what was happening there then. She would have to grill Damon for answers on that one. Stefan made his way over towards Lexi as well and left Elena with Damon. Care frowned when two more girls showed up. One was a human and the other was a vampire. Care had never seen them before and figured that Lexi knew them or something like that. Standing up and grabbing an extra beer she headed over for Elena. She wanted to be there for her tonight no matter what it took. As she approached she knew this was hell. She reached the two of them and pointedly ignored Damon for the time being. "Here, you look like you could use this. You ok?"" She asked Elena as she presented the alcohol. Damon would no doubt takt it if Elena refused anyway. She glanced around and saw the party really was starting to get under way. Not what she had expected to happen so fast. How many people had Lexi and Elena invited? Not to mention the ruins being one of the worst places but she figured it was out of the way enough that they could avoid notice should something happen. She looked at Damon. "Looks like the party came to an all new low if your here" She said with a slightly bitchy smile. What in the world was she doing here? it was no secret that Bonnie was not one of Stefan’s biggest fan and when he had well changed, it was when she had went back to full blown hating him. So now that today was his birthday why was she here? why was she around someone she hated? It was simple really. Her best friend was here and well she needed to be there for her. There was no way she was going to let Elena be there on her own, and even if the rest of them were there she was still going to show up. that was what best friends did for each other. And beside she knew that Jeremy was going to be there or at least he was supposed to be. The dark haired witched looked at her reflection in the mirror she had paired a red shirt with a pair of black pants, black boots. Perhaps it somewhat looked too dark but this would have to do. She didn’t want to go all out on her looks so why was she still doing touch ups? She was simply wasting time. Truth was she was rather afraid of what would happen once she got there. How would Stefan be? How was Elena going to react to him being there and yet not really being the man she had first fell in love with.
With a sigh, Bonnie put her lipstick back in her purse and walked out of her room and to her car. She took the invitation out of her purse so she could read the address and it didn’t take her long to get there. That was the thing when you lived in such a small town, everything was rather close, it of course prove to be useful most of the time but in moments where you simply were trying to waste time it was rather annoying. Still taking a deep breath, Bonnie walked out of her car and made her way inside. Thankfully she knew most of the people there she saw Stefan and while the good thing, the polite thing, the thing that one should do when they showed up at someone’s birthday party would have to walk over to the birthday boy. Instead she made a bee line over to Elena and Caroline. “Hey” she spoke softly almost as if she was afraid of what her friend would say to her. “How is everyone?” her eyes kept looking back at Stefan. “you all look wonderful.” Bonnie added as she started to babble. She was feeling far too nervous and was just trying to talk the anxiety away.
“Lexi really outdid herself, this party looks wonderful.” Truthfully this place was wonderful. But it was not because something did look wonderful that it didn’t mean that the whole night could end up turning to blah. But still she wanted to believe that things could actually go well. In a house full of vampires who was she kidding, there was no way that this would end well.
------------------------------ ------------------------------ Damon wasn't entirely sure how this party would go, there always seemed to be a problem and him being a douche probably wasn't really helping. Maybe he should be nice for the occasion, but it was just so hard to be nice to people but he would try although he wasn't off to a good start right now. He knew that there would be a lot of people coming even though Stefan was in his Ripper phase so he didn't know why everyone had gathered around, apparently he had a lot of people who cared about him. Damon also cared about his brother and it was his birthday so he wouldn't try and push any buttons tonight, well his brother's everyone else he would piss off just for the fun of it especially Lexi considering the two had almost had done it at the bar, if anything had gone farther it would have been really bad news for the both of them.
"Me? Cause a scene? No," he said with a grin on his face. "Just making a normal entrance," he told the brunette. "Come on Lexi join in on the fun," he told the blonde even though she was walking away. "I know how kinky you like to get," he said with a smirk. Oh god, what was wrong with this vampire? Did he really have no filter? He needed to shut up before he got slapped by anyone in this room. For some reason he honestly couldn't help it, just something was making him be an ass and maybe it was the confrontation he had with his brother just a few days ago, apparently it had put Damon in a little bad mood and he didn't want to be in a bad mood but it was just there.
Then Caroline came into the mix which made Damon frown as she spoke to him. "Ha, funny," he said wanting to get alcohol now just by being annoyed by Caroline. "Considering someone actually let you in," he said with a toying grin. Damon was actually surprised to see Bonnie out of all people, she had actually came to the party full of vampires, it was kind of funny. He wasn't exactly sure why most of these people were actually friends with Elena, were they friends with Stefan also? He wasn't too sure, Damon never really stalked his brother's life. "I think it's time I get a drink if I'm going to tolerate Caroline for the night," he said while walking away.
Damon grabbed a beer and then walked back to the group taking a sip of it. He honestly didn't know why he was at this party, well one reason it was his brother's birthday but half of these people at the party hated him and he really shouldn't be somewhere where he wasn't wanted, then again it was Damon he always showed up when he was unwanted and could anyone blame him? He was basically the life of the party and it was always fun ruining people's plans. "Humanity back on Stefan?" He asked the boy even though he knew it was going to be a no but it was just fun asking. "Then again, we'd know by now," he said taking another sip of his drink. Maybe he shouldn't attempt to talk to Stefan considering it could lead to another fight.
Location: Ruins and Church )(Time of day: night - - - - - - - - - - - - - - A party for someone she had only ever truly met once. For a vampire, someone simply crossing your path was hardly even worth remembering. Of course that was some really outstanding and memorable person if they did stick with you for even a few months after a passing ‘hello’ on the streets. Not many had been able to do that with Lizzy, and few still that she remembered today. The one that stood out the most was her last husband of course. She remembered seeing him one day in church even though he never saw her. It had only been partially a coincidence that he met her latter that week at the general store in the center of town. She had really been scoping out the place to figure out the best was to ‘accidentally’ bump into him when he had simply walked in through the front door.
Today that memory brought a smile to her face; a ghost of what it had been those many years ago, but a smile none the less. Yesterday tears had been brought by that memory and a few more like it; but that had been yesterday, not today. Elizabeth had spent most of yesterday in prayer as well, something no one else was suppose to know she did. It had rather fallen out of fashion since the 1800’s for most people to go to church or be devote in anyway, but Lizzy had been born and raised in the 1300’s, a time when there were only three things that truly mattered; God, Kings, and Heirs. She shook her head to clear the off topic thoughts and got back to what she was suppose to be doing, getting ready for a party. She needed to do some shopping, perhaps pants should go on her list. It was so hard to keep fully in style, even when you where ‘in’ the fashion business.
Lizzy felt as though she didn’t need to go over the top with the clothes since she was going to be around vampires; there was no call to impress, at least not to her. A pair of dark jeans, healed short boots that looked slightly western, and a blue corset made the center piece of the outfit. A black leather bolero jacket, onyx earrings, one of her family rings, and the medallion locket made by Ayah completed the look. She got into her car and left for the party.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - It seemed as though just about everyone who was going to show up had already done so by the time Lizzy pulled up in her Morgan; the top being down of course. She put the top up as she left, just in case, locked the doors and head towards the sounds of noise. She stood at the edge for a moment, taking in the scene around her before heading towards the drinks and trying to find something even mildly acceptable. She sighed and pulled out a bottle of Killian’s beer with a shrug. For now the former princess would simply observe since she really only knew the Salvatore brothers and not all that well as it was. She popped open the bottle and took a long drink of it. There were a few faces around that for some reason gave her the impression they weren’t vampires at all, how interesting. It did seem however that Damon was already aiming to get himself into some trouble. - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Tage:Word Count:Notes:Lyrics: Catch my Breath by Kelly ClarksonOutfit: Click Here________________________________________________________________ This template was made for Elizabeth Bruce by BONES @ Broken Pieces
