----------------------- ----------------------- Christian looked at the clock on the wall. He didn't mind his job, it was structured easy to follow and the best thing to do was to keep the customers happy. Of course he was never too good on the abuse that came with it sometimes but if he started flapping or anything like that then he could easily just slip out for a few moment. He was the last one there as the owner had gone home due to being sick. Christian loved the last half an hour of his shift, it meant that he could easily relax and do everything that was metholodical. He didn't have to worry about people looking at him or worry if any of them came from new York and would recognise him. He had lived here for almost a year now and had never bumped into anyone from New York but that didn't mean it wasn't going to happen. He dreaded the day it would. He shook himself mentally, he couldn't think about that now.
Putting up all the chairs he looked around to ensure that he hadn't missed anything. Going out back he got changed out from his work outfit. Whilst out there he double checked his phone also. It seemed no one was trying to get in contact with him and his sister mainly used letters to speak with him, this way it wasn't traceable via the phone that their parents had bought her. He really hoped that Amanda would be considering moving out and down here soon enough, their parents were already causing a bad influence on her and wanted her to be the new "It" girl. She already loved being the center of attention there was no need to make it any worse. Pulling on his grey sweatshirt and a black jacket over the top. It wasn't exactly cold outside but it wasn't exactly warm either. Putting his inform neatly into his bag because just stuffing it in soo wouldn't work for him.
He was about to leave out the back door and realised he hadn't turned off the open sign or locked the front door. Yeah he could picture his boss in his head right at that moment. He sighed and rolled his eyes at the thought of being shouted at for something so minor. Placing his bag on the table by the back door he heard the bell go off on the front door. Awesome so now someone was coming in. It was pitch black however on the main part of the small café Sighing he walked out towards the front desk. "Sorry we are closed. Please come back tomorrow" He couldn't see the person easily and didn't even know if it was a boy or a girl but they were standing there and all Christian could make out was an outline. He was suddenly worried that he was about to be killed, wasn't that how it always happened in movies, they walk in when the place is closed? ----------------------- ----------------------- Cordelia had a big night last night and really right now she just needed time to herself. It was a lot to take in with seeing Willow and Xander again, and just a whole bunch of people, she needed to get out. She loved them and all but it was just too much and too quick for her. Like god she had only been alive for 48 hours now so they must understand that she needed to adapt into this world again. At least nothing major changed, she could deal with minor changes but big changes nope. She had to basically live in a house where there were potentials everywhere and Cordelia was just used to have a mini team but it wasn't like that anymore.
Cordelia went out of the house and started walking into the night, needing fresh air and just enjoy it. She hadn't been out in the day yet since she obviously needed time to see everyone once again and catch up at least a little bit. She wondered how everyone was dealing with her revival, maybe they thought it was some trick? but come on they must have known it was her since she had the same personality and everything. But it didn't matter at the moment, she just needed a cup of coffee from somewhere, anywhere would be good right now. She ventured into the town and looked around where everything was mostly closed, good thing she wore flats today.
She finally found somewhere opened at this time of night which was just weird but whatever she could deal. Cordelia walked into the cafe and it was dark, kind of sketchy right now. She heard a voice and jumped. "God! Well, you could have turned the sign over so I didn't come in," she rolled her eyes although the boy couldn't see it. She turned the sign for him and walked over to him not really being able to see. "Can I please get a coffee. Pretty please," she said with a smile. The boy could barely see her so maybe he wouldn't want to do this but she was hot so maybe he could tell it in her voice.
"I've been walking all night and I'm stressed, right now a coffee would be a life saver from you." She just really wanted a cup of coffee and she was hoping this guy would give in because she didn't want to walk all the way back home with no coffee. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea wondering at night time when she had just been brought back, there must have been rules about this. She just felt like she needed space from people and if being in the dark with this stranger was the answer for space she would definitely take it because she was Cordelia Chase and if there was trouble then she could handle herself, she knew she could. But seriously, could this guy maybe turn at least one light on?

----------------------- ----------------------- Christian was a very guarded person. It was rare that he ever let anyone close to him, heck it was rare that he would even talk to people. The only time he really did was when he was forced to at work or by his social therapist. Although his therapist was great, sometimes she could be a bit demanding. It was her idea to get a job in customer service, it would force him to talk to strangers. He had started out as just a buss boy because the idea of talking with someone even just asking for their order frightened him. But it was different now, he was a bit of everything in this job. If anything, he was probably just as dedicated as the boss. He liked the thought of putting his body and heart into something and getting good results. Such as tonight when he was able to close the shop up because the boss trusted him more than anyone else. Of course he wondered if that would happen again considering he left the lights on and the front door open.
However his gaurd went up even further when someone walked in. He had seen enough scary movies to know that they always entered at night, that people didn't make much noise and there was no one around to save them. He sighed at the thought. Either his imagintation was running off with him again, which sometimes happened or he was just over reacting to someone coming in because the open sign was still on. He hoped with everything he had that it was the later. Zipping up his black comfortable jacket he waiting for the person to reply to what he had said. He was going to stuff his hands in his pockets but remembered that his therapist said that made it look as though he didn't want to talk to people or was just down right rude. Instead he ran a hand through his hair and over his face silently. He was still standing by the counter when his vision started to adjust.
Finally he could see that it was a girl. That was something at least. He really hoped she wasn't here to kil him. He figured he had been the one to make her jump when he spoke. Her voice said the same thing. He wanted to meekly shrug but of course she wouldn't be able to see it. He heard her moving once more. She turned the sign over obviously. He walked off and turned the lights on. "I'm sorry, I forgot to do it, I was just on my way to turn it over now" He added meekly. He probably sounded like an idiot compared to her. He looked her over and she looked good, she was obviously a few years older than him but even still, he could say she was slightly on the hotter side of things. However her irritation was clear, he was just unsure if she was irritated directly at him or the situation she had found herself in. Sometimes not being able to read social cues sucked majorly. She walked over towards him now that he was in the light and asked him for a cup of coffee. He should say no but Christian could never say no to someone who asked for something so nicely. How could he refuse? He let out a soft sight and ran a hand through his hair messing it up. She started to explain that she had been walking all night and she just needed a coffee. He smiled towards. "Of course, just give me a few minutes and i'll grab you one on the house" She smiled once more and unzipping his jacket he took it off and got to work with the cofee machines. They would take a little longer as they needed to heat up again. "Take a seat this might take longer than normally, the machines have to re-heat sorry" He added with a slightly sympathetic smile. He hated making people wait. He went about getting himself one whilst he was there. Sometimes he couldn't stand the stuff but he figured he would want to wait with this poor girl who seemed to have had such a stressful night. He wondered what she had been doing out so late? It was past ten pm and she had obviously been out for awhile, doing what though he wasn't sure if he wanted to know. "If you don't mind me asking, how come you have been walking around for so long at this late hour? OH my name is Christian by the way" He added with a smile. Always introduce yourself he remembered that one. He put the milk on to heat and poured the beans into the machine. He waited for thirty seconds before putting the coffee mix into the cup, well the first part anyway. The milk would take awhile as it had to be heated again. ----------------------- ----------------------- Cordelia loved meeting new people and she was friendly, well as friendly as can be. She was different than her high school self, sure she was still a bitch but in high school god how did people even talk to her. The more she started becoming independent and caring for people the more she started to become nice. Who was she in high school? Besides a rich girl who depended on daddy all the time. She actually hadn't talked to her parents in quite a while well considering she was dead but she wondered if Angel, Fred, Wesley, and Gunn told them about her death, probably not.
In a way she was up for conversation with the whoever this guy was, she still couldn't see him. Cordelia was sort of all talked out from last night when she talked to Willow, Xander, and when Buffy walked in which was awkward. No doubt Angel probably told Buffy about how Angel and Cordelia did have a thing back then but it wasn't like that anymore and hopefully Buffy would be able to realize that soon. Cordelia just wanted to get things started, she wanted to learn how to fight better, she was a pretty good fighter but she had been out of the game for so long that she needed to train once again which hopefully Angel or someone could help her with, if not she could do it herself.
"You don't need to apologize," she said with a smile even though the boy could barely see it maybe not even see it at all. Once the boy turned the light on she looked at him instantly to see what he looked like. He was hot! God, and he was super nice. Why were the hot guys always so sad though? Seriously it made no sense they should be having fun except Angel since he had that whole losing soul thing. She wondered what this boy's story was, he seemed nice enough and extremely polite. She wasn't used to it all considering how her friend group was, the guys were nice but polite? Not at all. She wondered how they were doing anyway, she knew Gunn and Wesley were still in L.A. and Fred died so a lot of course happened when she was gone. She had missed Fred, and if the powers wanted Cordy back then what about Fred? She was an asset to the mission wasn't she? Fred had all her science and smart brain but who knew what the powers were thinking, Cordelia was just glad to be back alive with a purpose and her visions.
Cordelia was really hoping that this guy was going to say yes to the coffee making because she needed one desperately right now. "Ah! You're the best! Thank you so much!" She run up to him and was going to hug him but resisted. She must have looked crazy running to him, hopefully the guy didn't think she was some lunatic. "Sorry about that, just got a little too excited," she sat down in a char and just looked at the boy. "You don't have to say sorry all the time I mean it's sweet but you've done nothing wrong so far," she said with a smile. This was what she exactly needed someone who didn't know and ask so many questions on why she was back and if she was evil. "I'm fine waiting," she simply said. She had patience unlike some other people. She honestly couldn't wait to have coffee, she hadn't had a decent coffee well since Sunnydale so years and years of not having a good drink.
She waited for her coffee patiently and liked the silence so far. She wasn't sure if she should be the one to make conversation or if she should wait on him. "Long story short my friends were shocked to see me in town last night, totally needed a breather today so I decided to go on a walk. So, I have no idea where anything in this town is." God, the powers should have given her a map in her mind so she knew. "Cordelia," she said with a smile while taking out her hand to give a handshake. "How about you? You seem like the shyest guy why work where you have to talk to a lot of people?" She wondered if he was trying to get experience on talking or if he just liked working here even though he was shy, well unless he wasn't shy. "So, this is Richmond...weird it's so quiet I'm used to L.A. with the sun and...busyness." She was referring to all the demons but he obviously would take it as a lot of people walking around. The amount of demons in L.A. plus Wolfram & Hart was just so hectic but nothing would ever top Sunnydale, now that was just brutal but then again Cordelia didn't face as much danger as Buffy and them did, she did in L.A. but she was fine with going into danger a lot. She wondered when there would be time to relax, well right now was a good time actually, it seemed safe.

----------------------- ----------------------- Christian was always a nice person. he had been raised to be seen not heard. Also to know when to speak and when not to speak. being the son of those who wanted nothing more than to get to the top tended to be a way to learn ettiquite. Not to mention that his parents would have killed him if he spoke at parties, he tried to just stick to a corner and only talk to those who spoke to him. No he refused to be involved in their schemes to reach their goal. His siter was involved and for that he wished he could take her away, she deserved better than to be used by her own parents. However she liked being in the lime light. However he knew how to talk to people from this, especially girls. Although it was rare that people spoke to him anyways, he was the quiet nerd type and no one really wanted to talk to.
She said that he didn't need to apologize but knew he did. It was bad customer service. He couldn't not apologize, the sign had been misleading. He nodded however and didn't make a comment on it. When he said he would make a coffee for her she was showing her appreciation and he smiled politely in her direction. "No worries, it's my pleasure" She smiled towards her. When he realised he hadn't even asked her if it was ok if he joined her for a coffee he felt slightly rude and figured he should at least ask. "Do you mind if I join you for a coffee? It's been a long night for me as well and I could use something nice to pick me up before I go home" He asked curiously. He didn't want her to think he was hitting on her or anything although she was hot. No he was being nothing but friendly towards her. He watched as she ran towards him almost as though she were about to hug him and he took two steps back. It was his reaction, people being in his personal space without being invited was not a good thing for him. She stopped herself however and for that he was kind of thankful. He smiled and nodded in understanding. "It's ok. Sorry I stepped back so fast. It's just a reaction for me. I'm not used to people I guess" He added with a slight shrug. She sat down and for that he was thankful, it meant he could work easily enough and not feel as though he was under any pressure. "I'm sorry... I mean ok, it's just the way I brought up I guess. I didn't normally say the right thing as a child so my parents made me apologize, I guess it kind of stuck" He added a slight chuckle to his voice and smiled. He hadn't realised he had been apologizing so much. She started explaining why her night had been a long one and why she had been walking around so much. That would suck. He guessed she hadn't seen her friends in a long time. "I get that. When my parents come to visit that next day I have to be on my own because one day is more than enough with them" He added with a slight smile. She spoke her name and he smiled. It was pretty and unusual at the same time. "Pretty name" He spoke. He shook her hand and then walked back behind the counter as the machine flipped it light to let him know it was ready. He poured the coffee first and switched off the milk and put it into the metal container. "Long story short? My social therapist forced me into this job. It was the best way to learn to talk to people. Technically I was just a buss boy at first but things escelated and I got this one. It works a little but I still get nervous and prefer for others to speak first" He added with a shy smile. Cordelia seemed like a nice and pleasent person. Someone he was more than sure he could become friends with. Age difference didn't matter and she didn't look that much older than him. No if anything it seemed that they could get along, they were right now. He figured he had just made his first friend here in Richmond. She said that she didn't know much about Richmond and she was used to LA. That was interesting. "I know the feeling. I used to live in New York. If you want, I have tomorrow off and i'm not at Uni until night time, I can show you around Richmond? That is of course if you wanted to?" He added with a small smile. He finished off the coffee's and placed her cup in front of her and his own on the tables. Turning off the machines once again he pushed a hand through his hair and sat down at the table next to her. ----------------------- ----------------------- Cordelia wondered where she would be right now if she still had her dad's money, she seriously wondered if she'd have anyone who was important to her. She would have definitely been an uber bitch, she still was a bitch but not that big of a bitch. But honestly she couldn't imagine herself doing anything else besides saving people, it was who she was now, it was all she was. Part of who she was was because of Angel and Doyle, they had helped her become a better person and she was so thankful for that. She was so shallow back then! Well, she still preferred looks over personality a little bit...then again she did date Xander but then there was Groo which was a major upgrade. God, she still didn't understand how she could date Xander their relationship was just...what was it? Then Groo who she loved but he knew she loved Angel but where was he now? She didn't love Angel anymore well she did love Angel as a brother.
Cordelia smiled at Christian. He seemed like the sweetest guy ever, she wondered if he had a girlfriend; he was hot and amazingly sweet so if he didn't then Cordelia would not understand how he didn't. "Not at all, I'd like the company," she said smiling. If this was the first friend Cordelia was going to make then she'd be pretty happy since he was hot, the two hot best friends, now that added a nice ring to it. "Is this the best coffee in town? It's been...awhile since I had a good one. Oh my god a frappuccino would be so good right now but whatever I can deal," she needed the coffee to calm her down a little bit even though it would just make her hyper. Oh well, she didn't feel like going to sleep tonight anyway.
When he stepped back Cordelia kind of got confused. Was he scared of her or something? Come on she was hot who would be scared of her. "You? Not used to people? Now, that's a first. Sweet and hot and not used to people okay clearly this must be some alternate universe," she said a little surprised. "Hello! You're hot you could have any friends I bet. Plus your style is cute," she said with a grin. He had a hot outfit on if she had first seen him she would have imagined him as some bad boy but apparently that was not the case at all. When he said sorry again Cordelia couldn't help but laugh a little. "Okay, your parents are total weirdos for doing that. Their hearts might have been in the right place but saying sorry isn't necessary. It's sweet but nope not necessary at all, well when you talk to me you don't have to say sorry. Got it?" She said with a smile. She wanted him to be comfortable.
Cordelia kind of frowned she hadn't really seen her parents, she wondered if they cared or maybe they thought she was dead. "I haven't really seen my parents for like 2 years I think?" Her and her parents were never close but she still cared for them immensely."Thanks," she said with a smile. "Your name totally suits you by the way," he definitely looked like a Christian for some reason. "Awe, really? That's cute." She would have never guessed that he had a social therapist but everyone had surprises. "I'll let you in on a little secret," she whispered. "You're doing just fine. I mean you're talking to me right now, I would have never guessed you needed a therapist. God, I should get a therapist for all that I've been through," she then bit her lip. Hopefully he wouldn't ask what she had been through since it involved the supernatural, after all they were still strangers.
"Oh my god the city of lights?!" Cordelia wanted to hear everything about it but maybe she would another day. She had always wanted to see New York and maybe one day she would. "I'd like that," she said with a small smile. "My friends are way too busy with their work to show me even though I just got into town! Over it," she said with another smile. She wanted to get to know Christian better and that would be the perfect way plus she really did need to see what this town looked like. "I didn't know you were in university! I never went, I wanted to be an actress but look how well that turned out," she said with a little sigh. If she didn't go to L.A. she wouldn't have been so close to Angel so she was happy that acting didn't turn out well because if it did as she witnessed Angel would have had the visions which would have made him crazy, at that moment she knew that her life was meant to be saving lives and holding those visions. She was meant to fight, and that was exactly why she was here...well on earth not at the coffee shop.

----------------------- ----------------------- Christian couldn't help but feel the slight comfort this person was bringing to him. Maybe because she was actually treating him like a human being not some freak who couldn't talk to people. They often mistook it for someone who was really shy. Although that was the case slightly it was mainly because he didn't know how to interact with people. It was part of his disability. His autism caused a fair amount of trouble in New York of course. He was the weird one and had been picked on all his life. Another one of the reasons he was happy to have started to settle down in a small town like Richmond. It wasn't the life of the rich and famous but it made him feel safe. This person was also doing a good job at that as well. it was a nice feeling to be able to converse with someone without stuttering or looking like a complete idiot. Maybe he should be paying his social therapist more, she was doing a good job.
When she agreed to let him sit with her for a coffee he could tell that she hadn't taken it the wrong way at all. No if anything she was accepting nothing but his company which was a nice change. He smiled at her and nodded. He was happy to be able to sit down with someone and just relax after a double shift at work. He smiled at her words about needing the best coffee in town. He figured she was craving the caffienne, he could get like that sometimes as well. Who couldn't? "Well unsure if it's the best coffee in town but I would say so myself. Sorry only got hot coffee's for the night. I hope thats alright?" He asked carefully. He would happily make her the cold coffee but it would also mean that she would be waiting a whole lot longer. He hated making people wait as well so he hoped she wouldn't mind. Christian hadn't been called hot and cute so much in one sentance before and it was a nice thought that someone thought of him that way. Plus she was complimenting his clothes which was a rarity in this town. He did have expensive things as he had a great allowance, as long as that allowance wasn't used on collage as his parents didn't agree with the collage he had chosen. He didn't care though. He smiled. "No as far as I know we are still in the same universe, just in my kind of world. Yeah me and people usually don't get along. I'm sorry if I startled you and sorry for apologizing again and again. Thank you for your compliments however I agree with you but in vise versa. I think you are very pretty and I love your clothes" He added with a sweet smile. Complimenting was the correct way to get friends right? He would love to make this woman his friend. He nodded his head in understanding to her statement. He was no longer allowed to apologize but he also doubted that his parents had him in mind when they forced him to say sorry. No if anything they were probably trying to find ways to keep him quiet. He sighed at the thought. "I think it was more of a technique so I wouldn't talk at all. They didn't like me speaking at their dinners or their parties. It wasn't worth the strife with them. Their hearts were not in the right place as you say. If anything they were just trying to benefit themsevles. Didn't mean to rant" He refrained from apologizing but knew that he shouldn't have gone off about his parents like that. They were still his parents and he had been taught to treat them with respect, whether or not he agreed with their methods, it wasn't his choice. When Cordelia said that she hadn't seen her parents in two years he knew he hadn't seen his own for a year. He didn't mind though, he didn't care if he ever saw them again. The only one he missed was his sister and would do anything to get her to come and live with him. "I don't mind not having seen my parents over the last year. However I do miss my little sister although she isn't so little anymore" He added with a fond smile at their memories. She said his name suited him and he smiled in repayment. She said that he didn't even need a therapist. "I am a lot better than I used to be. Asking someone that I didn't know what they wanted for their order was horrible at first. Things are different now. I got better. You would be shocked how hard it was though. I think my therapist needs a raise. What have you been through if you don't mind me asking? You can tell me to mind my own buisness if you wish" He added politely after all, they had just met. When he mentioned New York it was almost as though the girl had suddenly lit up. So she had obviously always wanted to go to New York. He smiled and nodded as he sat next to her. She was inspired by it obviously. "New York isn't all it's aspired to be" He added sheepishly. When she said she would love for him to show her around he smiled towards her. Maybe he really had made a friend in Cordelia. "Well it would mkae my therapist proud and I think you could be a very good candidate for a friend with me. If thats not too forward and it would be my pleasure to help show you around" He added with a sweet smile. Running a hand through his hair once again and then tried to stop himself. It was a bad habit. "Yeah i'm studying medical science there. Plus double majoring in creative writing as well" he added with a none chalent shrug. ----------------------- ----------------------- Cordelia couldn't help but feel comfortable with this boy, he just had something about him that made her feel so comfortable! Maybe it was just the way he talked or maybe it was how polite he was, but that was she wanted to just take him home and show everyone how cute he was, he was like a stuffed teddy bear or something he was just too adorable. He was also just so shy which made the adorable factor, she honestly didn't understand how a boy so hot could be so shy it just made no logical sense to her there had to be some psychological explanation to this. She knew that this guy would be her friend just because of how sweet he was, she needed a friend like that someone who was normal and not a part of the supernatural...but she wouldn't want him to figure out the supernatural. If he had at some point then she would deal with it but she didn't think he would be able to handle it or maybe he would but not most people could if they weren't living in Sunnydale or transported to some dimension.
She would gladly start a friendship with this boy since it was just so easy to talk to him. She rolled her eyes when he apologized again. The boy needed to stop apologizing, Christian was sweet and all and that would definitely get him a girl but him saying sorry kind of made Cordelia feel bad. "Don't worry about it, I'm in the mood for just the normal coffee. Delicious hot coffee yum," she said really excited to finally have a hot cup of coffee, it had been way too long. She needed one soon, hopefully it would be made soon. "That frapp can wait for another day." She didn't need a frappaccino that badly and she didn't want him saying sorry or anything like that so a coffee would do plus she needed to be warm.
She actually couldn't believe that him and people didn't get along, like he was a sweet boy so who would hate him or even think about being mean to him? It made no sense in her mind. "Those people will regret not getting along with you I mean you are totally great." Once again with the sorry's but she didn't mind so much, it was still cute. "It's fine Christian don't worry about. Awe, thank you! I know I'm hot but it's nice to hear it," she said with a smile. She wasn't cocky she was just a confident girl, she knew she was hot and no one could deny that she wasn't. "We should go shopping one day it would be so much fun...I definitely need new clothes since I got here." She had no clothes whatsoever since she had no job plus she was brought back, if only the powers had given her clothes or money for clothes.
Cordelia completely understood Christian and how his parents treated him. Cordelia's parents weren't the number one parents in the world of course and they definitely had their downs but the family had their ups as well. "But you're so much fun to talk to I mean like they shouldn't have done that but at least you got away and now you're here with me!" She said very happily. "Parents can be such asses but whatever here we are today about to have coffee." She still couldn't wait for her coffee and she just didn't want him to be upset. "Um, ranting is always good I rant all the time once you get to know me more you'll figure that out," she said with a wink.
"You have a little sister? Do you have a picture of her?" Cordelia had kind of wished she had a sibling but being the only child definitely had its benefits. "I have no siblings but I do have a nephew technically except he's basically an adult now." She remembered Connor when he was just a small baby, it was still weird knowing he was a full grown adult basically and knowing she had sex with him while being possessed totally had that ick factor come into play. "Oh, did you stutter a lot? Or?" She wondered how he handled people when he was bad, he wasn't bad now so he couldn't have been that bad before. She laughed lightly when he said his therapist needed a raise, the boy was funny. "Maybe, the therapist is doing something right."
"Well...a few break ups and just life scary experiences you know the usual, nothing big." That sounded so lame but what else would she say? She sipped her coffee trying to avoid that whole topic. "I guess nothing major," she shrugged. Best actress award goes to...her. She just didn't know how to explain it without adding the supernatural, was she gonna tell him that she died and came back alive? no of course not he would be freaked out and not want to talk to her or might think that she is some lunatic. So, she was definitely not going to tell him anything out of the ordinary.
"But it's New York! Shopping and clothes," god she loved clothes so much. "It's like you're asking me out except in a friend way," she giggled. "You seem so formal! But yeah we can see how this friendship works but we're breaking up if we don't hang out tomorrow since you said you would," she said teasingly. Hopefully he wouldn't take her seriously. "Writing? I'm not the biggest writer but I do draw." She has a knack for drawing ever since she had the visions and her drawing had gotten way better. "Ha, I'm friends with a university boy who’s younger than me! Everyone will so be jealous," she said with a playful smile. She wanted Christian to just be him and break a little loose, she needed to teach him how to have some fun because he desperately needed it. Maybe she would take him to the beach or something or like the clubs.

----------------------- ----------------------- Christian could tell when people were being honest with him. He preferred them to be honest and open, that way he wouldn't have to learn all the social cues that he never always seemed to get. However when he looked over at Cordelia he couldn't help but wonder if she was usually this perky or if there was some particular reason. He knew it was rude to ask however, especially if it turned out she was normally like this. He didn't want to offend her as he was beginning to really think that he could make a friend in her. He watched as she seemed to relax around him which wasn't exactly something he was used to. People normally avoided him like the plague because everyone at the university and such knew he had a disability. People would be shocked to know about the discrimmination against those who have a disabillity.
He couldn't help his slight chuckle when she moved to make him feel better. So she wanted something different but not right then, that was easier. At least he figured he could take her for the frappacino tomorrow when he showed her around Richmond. "Well then I think tomorrow will be the day we get the cold drinks instead. Stciking to normal hot coffee. Do you take sugar?" He asked carefully. He didn't want to mess up an order, he hated being abused by customers, it was the worse thing ever. He figured he could just give her the sugar instead and let her decide if she wanted it or not. "Well your coffee is done to perfection without even having to wait too long" He added with a slight smile towards her. She was really nice and sweet to him which he appreciated. He smiled towards her when she said that people were going to regret not getting along with him. No one had ever been quite so nice to him before. "Well i'm sure you have plenty of friends yourself. No one this kind and sweet especially to someone like me can't not be surrounded by people" He said with a sweet smile towards her. It seemed compliments were all around and it was working out pretty well all in all. "Well at least we won't have to worry about you having a bad reflection on yourself. But it's truthful at least" He added with a slighlty joking tone to his voice. He didn't want to offend her or anything but maybe she would take it as he had, a small joke. The girl was nice and friendly and was glad that she could see what he saw when he looked at her. She was hot. Christian almost laughed when she said that they should go shopping. Yes he was immaculately dressed but it didn't mean he enjoyed to go shopping. He generally paid for a personal shopper because he couldn't be bothered to go. Of course he didn't like to tip people off about how much money he actually had, just couldn't use it on collage because his parents hated the idea. "I would love to go shopping. Maybe it can be something we add onto out lift of things to do tomorrow?" He asked with a smile on his lips. He nodded on her comment about parents though. "You can say that again" She shook his head at the thought of his parents. He nodded once again. "Exactly. Although im more than sure that my parents would fall in love with you. They would say you are exactly the kind of person I need to be friends with" She shrugged it off though and looked down at his coffee. At the mention of his sister he was lit up. Of course he missed her liek nothing else, it was nuts. They had always been so close and even their parents couldn't seperate them, even now. He nodded. "Yeah on my phone give me a sec" He added with a smile. She had blonde hair and blue eyes. Same colour as his but her hair was blonder. "This is Amanda. We are super close. Total opposites in a lot of ways but I don't know what I'd do without her. She turned twenty soon I can't believe it" She added sliglhty. Running a hand through his hair he messed it up a little once again but it constantly fell back into place. He took a sip of his scalding coffee and put it back on the table. "What's your nephew's name? If you don't mind me asking?" He asked politely. He didn't really know anyone else from his family and figured it was better that way. Cordelia went on to explain her life and he smiled and nodded. The same dramas that most girls went through really. Maybe she had just come out of a really bad relationship. He would offer to hurt the guy but knew that if he did things could get ugly with his autism. "I'm sorry to hear that. You deserve better and any guy would be crazy to dump you. Your one of the nicest people i've ever met thats for sure" He added with a sweet smile. He took another sip of his coffee before putting one packet of sugar into it. "I think we have all been through break ups however. My ex ran off with my best friend and cheated on me after I let her in like I hadn't before. I guess it's another reason I'm not good with people in my personal space" He shrugged sliglhtly but didn't want to remember those painful memories. Christian couldn't help the chuckle at her words of the clothes and shops. Of course she would be thinking about that. She really was a typical girl but Cordelia was sweet with it. He nodded. "Yes but I never really went shopping. My sister normally went for me" He added with a slight shrug. Running a hand through his hair again he chatisized himself mentally for doing it. He took another sip of his coffee now that it had cooled and looked over at the girl next to him. "I promise to be there tomorrow. Where would you like to meet? Here so I can show you from the main part of the town? Or the town square?" He asked thoughtfully. The town square might be better as it was easier access to the rest of the town. "Yeah well your friends with a university student who wants to be a doctor so double plus for that" He was trying not to be so formal with her and just himself instead. ----------------------- ----------------------- Cordelia was always honest even if the truth hurt and sometimes that made her a bitch but she didn't mind it was who she was and she wasn't going to lie or tip-toe around the truth because that person deserved to know the truth unless it was about the supernatural of course; everyone deserved a normal life and if they didn't know about the supernatural than the better. In a way she did feel bad about talking about it because in a way people should know what's around them so they could protect themselves but whatever in the end it was better if people didn't have knowledge of it and she hoped that Christian would never know about it because he was just too innocent.
Yay! He was laughing! Now he seemed to be lightening up a little bit, he really did need to relax like honestly. God, she needed someway to get money and it wasn't like she was in L.A. where she could charge people for money for saving them or maybe she could...it all depended on that matter, she hadn't had any vision yet so at least she had time to relax before she had to worry about that stuff. "Yep! A lot of it. I usually put a lot ever since I got the crap kind of coffee," she sighed a little. "I kinda miss the crappy coffee I used to have." It had been so long since he had been with her friends and just L.A. she was used to that lifestyle.
"Just the way I like it," she clapped quickly. When she received the coffee she took a little sip to see what it'd taste like. "You did a good job. I love it, exact perfection Christian," she said with a big smile on her face. It was really hot so she blew on it a little bit. God, she missed the taste of coffee, the bitterness of it but that little sweet taste it had from the sugar it was just simply delicious. Christian literally saved the night by talking to her and giving her this free coffee, if she had a glazed donut she would be in heaven but the world wasn't that perfect or her night at least.
When he had talked about her having plenty of friends she instantly though of high school, to be honest she didn't miss it as much as she thought she would but there was apart of her that did miss it just a little bit. "Ha, funny story actually, I was a bitch in high school but I had a lot of friends since y'know I was popular and I was on the cheer squad to just had to put that out there," she said with a slight giggle. "Anyway after high school I ended up with like 4 best friends and that's about it. So a bitch in high school many friends and a sort of bitch after high school no friends, strange how that works huh?" She said with a shrug. "Me with a low self-esteem? Please as if that'll ever happen, it has never been me."
Out of all the things she missed in this world besides her friends was shopping, god she missed trying on clothes and seeing how good she looked or asking for peoples' opinions it was just an amazing time, she needed to shop soon, seriously. "Well...I can't really afford shopping at the moment since I don't have a job which will be number one on my to do list! Seriously like do you know anywhere hiring?" She asked curiously and added a smile. If she got a job then her life would be much easier or if she charged people money then that'd be great because she needed new clothes like stat or else this matter could definitely be life or death.
Cordelia grinned when he said his parents would love her. "I'd totally meet them and make an impression, I've always been good with parents! Watch just two seconds with me and they'll be so much cooler than they are now, less boring and more lenient so then your fun side can come out," she said with a big smile. Christian needed to get out of his comfort zone and needed to have more fun but how? Maybe if the two went clubbing or possibly bungee jumping since that would be a lot of fun as well. There were so many things to do that would make Christian so much more fun but in time they could do the stuff they needed, hopefully talking to him was making him less formal and more just him.
Cordelia gave a slight nod when he said he'd get out his phone and she had a smile because he was smiling and he seemed to be close with his sister like really close. "She's so pretty! I can definitely see the resemblance. Please tell me she isn't as formal as you," she said jokingly and honestly. She wanted to know but he did explain that the two were opposite, she wanted him to explain more though. "I don't mind. His name is Connor I haven't really spoken to him in a while...or his father." She missed Angel a lot actually, she had hoped to see him soon.
She had wished that she could explain but she couldn't just because of the supernatural, she probably sounded like an idiot. "Oh, I was never dumped I was always the dumper." As if she'd let a guy dump her that was so not happening except there were a few times where it was a close call. "Well, there might have been one or two who've broken up with me I'm not sure," it was high school so she wasn't sure who exactly she dated. "That's something we can connect on Christian we've both been cheated on but my ex just kissed his best friend while I saw them. I didn't give him the chance of day to try and say his sorry's and take me back, but why would I get back with someone who cheated on me no thank you," she was so hurt and that was when her wall was put up.
"Well you're coming with me one day so be prepared," it was more of a threat because she did need a shopping buddy. "Maybe the town square? That'd be way easier plus probably take less time to meet up." She wanted to see the town square and it would be better to get things done if they were to meet there. "Wow, a doctor to? God, so if I ever need life saving I know how to call," she said with a joking wink. She was having a fun time with this conversation and Christian was actually a very interesting guy and she liked getting to know. He was really cool passed the shy guy and formal guy act.

----------------------- ----------------------- Christian was more suprised at himself than anything. He had always been raised to be polite no matter what but at the same time he was shocked that he was talking to someone who he had just met like this. It was a rarity for him and maybe something he should be highly proud of. He knew thta his social therapist would be jumping with glee right at that moment. He wanted to smile at the thought of seeing that. He figured this wasn't as bad as it could have been and at the same time, Cordelia was one exctremely nice person, she didn't seem like the sort of person to judge him for anything. He wondered if she had been through a bad ordeal for her to think the way she did. No one ever was just that nice, normally something had to have happened to them. Generally something bad either turned a person into a really nice and decent person or a total bitch.
It seems Cordelia really knew how to make a person smile, maybe it was because she had that bubbly energetic aura about her but either way it made him smile and chuckle slightly once again when she said about having crap coffee. yeah he hated that as well and couldn't stand when coffee didn't taste right. He nodded his head along with her. At least it was something they could agree on, he wasn't addicted to it but did like to have one every morning normally. "Well then lot's of coffee tomorrow then. All different kinds so you can realise what you've been missing out on" He couldn't help the chuckle again and the slight shake of his head when she said that she missed the crap coffee. Probably the memories that came along with them not the coffe itself. "More like you miss the memories that came with the crap coffee. The coffee itself I can garuntee you didn't miss" He said with a smile towards her. Christian loved getting compliments on his work. He had made the pattern of a leaf on the very top with the milk froth. It was always something that made the girls happy, well most people actually. Her personally liked to have on top of his as well. "Glad you approve. I like to decorate my work as you can see. A few little tricks I picked up whilst working here for the last year" He added on the end. He watched as she took her first sip of the coffee and seemed to enjoy it. That was something at least. He took her lead and did the same and felt the same way. His coffee was pretty good as well. "Thank you. I made it extra perfect as you had to wait so long. Sorry about the wait. Oh wait I gotta go turn everything off" He stood up and flipped all of the switches to turn everything off. The machines running all night would not be a good thing. Christian was fascinated listening to her and getting a slight insight on her history. So she had been miss popular, she probably wouldn't have even given him the time of day if he had been there. Mainly because he had been too shy to speak to anyone and still had that slight stutter back then and now ay could he have spoken to someone he didn't know either. "Well as you can probably have guessed I was the quiet one. Actually I was more than that, I was the shadow against the wall that no one really wanted to notice. I was always ahead in my classes but would never speak up to answer a question and my teachers just left me alone." He shrugged slighlty. "Maybe I should just steal some of your self esteem for myself then huh?" She said with a small smile. He wished it were that simple but it just wasn't for him. Christian should have figured that she was a real girly girl. Things such as shopping were their specialties. He wondered if he should spoil her. He hadn't had a good friend before and figured that maybe he should buy her some new things. He wasn't as though he was poor, far from it really. His parents gave him a very wealthy allowance that was allowed for everything other than his collage stuff. That was why he had a job in the first place. He thought for a moment and knew this place was hiring and looking for some more waitresses and people to work and actually make the coffee. " Well tomorrow we are now definitely going shopping and it can be my treat. However if your looking for a job we are hiring here. One of our girls just went on maternity leave and we are looking for someone to replace her" He said. He was kind of hopeful she would apply, it would be good to have a friend in the work place. He wished it were as easy as she said when it came to his parents. Everyone always thought that they could make them more lenient with him, but it was because he was imperfect. he had a disability that his parents kept from their so called friends because it would damper their reputation. They were already pissed at him for going to a collage of his choosing. Also he was a bad influence on Amanda as far they were concerned. " They would like you alright. Then chatisise me for not being more like you. Tell me how improper I am, how much i'm not perfect to them. I swear sometimes having a disability can really suck especially when your parents treat you like an outcast." He looked down at his coffee and relaised he had turned the topic sour. That hadn't been his intentions at all, he was just speaking what he knew to be the truth. His smile was brought back instantly when they were talking about Amanda. She said she could see the resemblance but he couldn't. She was beautiful and had really blonde hair, although it had been died. Normally her hair was only a few shades lighter than his. He smiled and shook his head. " She's like no one you've ever met. Yet sometimes I could kill her. She refuses to ring or text me though she normally writes letters. I do miss her. However I cannot see how we look anything alike in all honesty" He added with a slight chuckle. He didn't believe that for an instant. She started speaking about Connor and he looked over at her. " You know it's never too late to pick up a phone and give them both a call? It couldn't hurt right?" He said carfully, not wanting to impose or anything like that. He believed her when she said that she was never dumped and was mainly the dumper. It made sense of course it did. How could anyone hope to hold onto a girl such as that. " yes well I don't find that hard to believe. Any guy would be a fool to lose you" He said with a sweet smile. He really did like Cordelia and knew they would make great friends, even if they were total opposites. He nodded in agreement. She had wanted him back as well but Christian just couldn't handle the thoughts although he had missed her like crazy. " She was my first for everything. My one and only girlfriend i've ever had. She was amazing and just like you in the popular sense. But I guess you can't hold onto girls like that. She cheated on me with my sister's best friend." He was totally over her now but did regret what he had done to the other guy. Austic meltdowns in anger was never a good thing. Cordelia agreed to meet up with him int he town sqaure and he agreed it probably would be the best place to meet up. It would be much easier to search the shops from there and be able to show her around the enture place. He nodded and ran a hand through his hair. " The town square it is. I'll even bring the first coffee of the day" He said with a smile. He would remember that. It was a good job he had the day off tomorrow. He chuckled at her comment and shook his head slightly. " I wouldn't say that. I've only been there for two years and haven't gone through medical school yet. Maybe after that then you can call on me to save your life" he said with a slight shuckle and a smile spread across his lips. He had never enjoyed getting to know someone as much as this before. ----------------------- ----------------------- Cordelia was actually surprised that she was up for talking on a night like this, it just astonished her that she would be so talkative. She was always outgoing of course but waking up from being dead has to do some stuff to a person but apparently not Cordelia, she was as normal as ever which was odd. She enjoyed talking to Christian though, he made her seem just like an ordinary girl and it was weird talking to someone who knew nothing about the supernatural life. So this was what a normal conversation was like, no talking about demons or vampires lurking the night just talking about life and crappy coffee, she had to admit it was nice. Although she didn't like how she couldn't talk about the supernatural since she was so used to talking about it but oh well it was best that Christian didn't know.
"Yay! It's been a long long long time since I've had coffee, I'm almost talking about forever here seriously...well like a year or two," he might want answers to that but then she would just tell him that she was being dramatic and she was on some sort of diet or something. Yeah that would definitely work and he would believe her. Cordelia laughed. Christian was right she didn't miss the coffee at all she just missed what had happened, well the good times. "You're right. I miss all of. Feels weird," she said with a slight frown. She had missed her old life there and she had missed her friends immensely she wasn't sure how she could adapt to Richmond when none of her friends were even in this town besides Angel but he seemed to be doing some mission. All of it was just weird and she just wasn't used to it at all, she hoped she would be in a matter of weeks.
"Very artistic of you," she said with a smile. "I definitely love you made it makes all the more special," she sipped the coffee once again. "God, this is delicious! So like you are literally the best coffeemaker ever you need to come over and make this coffee for my friends," she was being totally serious, she wanted him over and she knew that they'd all be super nice to him. "They would totally love you," she then took another sip of her coffee. This caffeine was definitely waking her up even though she was already awake so maybe she was on overdrive now. "What did I say about sorry's?" She said jokingly. At least he was a lot more relaxed now.
Cordelia knew he was the quiet which she didn't get why since he was obviously super hot even if he had autism all the girls would still want him! Then again there were a lot of hot guys in her high school who were hot and shy. "Earlier me so would have went for you. I loved the shy guys well actually I enjoyed every guy who was hot so it didn't really matter," she said thinking about the days. "From jock to university boy to shy guy," she really did date a lot except she never did anything with the guys of course besides make out. "You can have some mine trust me I have plenty of it," she said with a little laugh. If she was a witch she might have actually attempted to give him some self-esteem if that was even possible, it probably was since anything was possible with magic.
Cordelia's smile grew and she was just so happy. Was Christian actually offering to buy her clothes? My god where had this boy been all her life? Okay, he was officially her favourite friend. "Are you serious?! I promise I won't go overboard!" The next thing he said made her so excited that she jumped out of her chair and screamed excitedly. Why was Christian so frigging amazing?! "Christian you're the best!" She went to his chair and pulled him and held his hands to jump up and down. She started jumping up and down. "It's like you're like this angel you know an angel with good fashion sense. Ah! You're just so amazing!" She then stopped jumping and gave him a hug. She could tell that he would be quite an amazing friend. She finally let go of the hug and sat back down on her side very happily.
She crossed her legs and sipped her coffee. "Like god I can't believe you're doing this for me Christian. I'll make a resume by tomorrow." She was so excited for this opportunity she wasn't going to let him down at all. "You shouldn't have to be an outcast I mean your parents should realize they made a polite and amazing son," she said with a small smile. God, his parents actually seemed like such jerks and it seemed like they made his self-esteem low, it was truly sad how parents could act to their children it wasn't fair to Christian. "Trust me when I say this, you are the most properest person I've ever met," she was telling the truth no one was as polite as Christian or so formal for that matter. Hopefully things would get better between Christian and his parents he deserved to be happy.
"Well you guys do! And you need to visit her! If you don't want alone I'll come with," she added with a smile. "Angel was never good with cellphones," she said with a roll of her eyes. "He never knows how to use them and he's bad at responding," she said with a sigh. Angel was always so bad with cellphones especially in a case but maybe he had gotten better at using them. "And Connor I'm not sure what his number is." Why was it so hard to get a hold of those boys? Like father and son right? She'd find some way to talk to the both of them at some point but right now she couldn't worry about them even though she lived to worry nowadays.
Cordelia had to smile at that, Christian was just too cute and Cordelia loved compliments. "But can be fool enough to cheat on me," she said with a sigh. It may have been just a kiss between Willow and Xander but that was the first time Cordelia had actually been able to open up herself to someone and fall in love. First love always hurt. "Um no, she couldn't hold on to a guy like you," she said looking at Christian. "She downgraded to your best friend which is just an all-time low. You were the perfect guy and she couldn't see that for some reason. So her loss and your ex best friend's loss." She needed to cheer him up somehow. "Now that you're my friend we can totally get you a girlfriend. Leave it to me! You definitely have that shy guy act going on so the girls will love that," she said with a grin. Hopefully she was doing a good job at making him just a little bit happy.
She was glad they made an agreement on where to meet, he wasn't stubborn so the two wouldn't butt heads at all. "Yum," she said with a smile. She couldn't wait for him to bring a coffee. "By the way you know you don't have to buy me anything even though I would appreciate it, really really appreciate it but I just want you to know that I'm your friend because I think you're a great guy not because of the money you have. And I'm here for you," she said with a smile. She wasn't some gold digger or anything. "As long as you know CPR I think we'll be fine," she said jokingly. She was glad that the two could easily talk and form a friendship. She actually really needed this little talk without someone as sweet as Christian, if it had been a jerk she had no idea what she'd do probably just smack the jerk but it wasn't a jerk it was just Christian. He truly was starting to become a great friend even if they had just become friends, Cordelia wasn't just thinking that way just because he was going to buy her shoes she genuinely thought he was a good guy and even though she knew the risks of being his friend and him possibly knowing about the supernatural she still wanted to be there for him, he needed a friend. "Well, I think it's time for me to go I gotta get home so remember we have a lunch date you better text me! Bye!" She left the cage and went home.
