[/IMG] - - - - - - - - - - -Elena Isobel Gilbert woke up slowly, not really sure what was going on. She tried to think about the last thing she remembered and yet it was coming back to her slowly.
She slammed her bag down on the picnic table, extremely frustrated with her day so far. First of all, she was late getting up, something that was extremely rare for her. Normally she was up with the sun every day, unfortunately today was not one of those days. She had been up late finishing a paper and hadn't gotten done until after 2am, when her alarm had gone off at 6, well let's just say the snooze button was her friend and her enemy this morning.
So since she was late, she had to skip breakfast, something she hated doing. Once she got to school she realized she had forgotten her history homework, which in turn ended up with her getting a lecture from her history teacher since he tended to cut her slack as they were well versed with each other, being that he was married to her biological mother at one time before she begged to be turned into a vampire.
So far Elena wasn't in the greatest mood.
If she wasn’t scared of either A.) getting in trouble for damaging school property, or B.) giving herself a concussion, she would have slammed her head repeatedly into the picnic table, but she figured with her luck today, she would get in trouble or hurt herself, so she refrained…
But just barely.
She was actually very surprised that the picnic table hadn't melted by how hard she was glaring at it. She’d noticed the girls who normally talked to her were steering clear or her, same went for the guys. She figured she had a terrible look on her face, but she shrugged internally, not caring.
Worst part of her day was she hadn’t seen any of her close friends. She sighed again and jumped when the bell rang, she was late to class.
‘I should have never gotten out of bed.’
That was the last thing she remembered until now, waking up tied to a chair in a random place. This didn't seem good at all.

----------------------- ----------------------- Klaus was bored, simple yet threatening. Why you ask was that threatening to others around him? Because when Klaus got bored people got hurt. That was just how it was with him. Of course the same could be said for his brother Kol and sister Rebekah. They had always thought alike in that area. The only ones who didn’t were his brothers Elijah and Finn. They always felt the need to clean up his, Kol’s, and Rebekah’s mess. He wondered what he could do that day to stop his boredom. There wasn’t many things that could keep the hybrid entertain. He had enough of his siblings for right now. All Kol wanted to do was mess with Caroline, aggravate Klaus about Caroline, and compel Klaus hybrids for his own amusement, which Klaus didn’t enjoy.
So he sat in his house thinking of what he could do today. He knew he needed to make more hybrids. Not so Kol could have his own amusement but for Klaus plan. Now that he could make successful hybrids he needed more, his own little army. There was someone of course he needed to make that happen. Elena Gilbert. Her blood was the key to his successful hybrids because she is the doppelganger. Even though she was supposed to have died in the ritual she didn’t. He wondered if she had would he be able to make his hybrids without her blood. That was something he would never know now though so he just had to get over that and get the girl here. That and he needed some werewolves. He figured though he would drain some of her blood into blood bags, store them, and then find the werewolves. He didn’t want a huge lot of just werewolves until he had enough of Elena’s blood.
Now he just needed to get Elena here. He needed her alone which was hard since her friends hardly left her side afraid that she might end up hurt. He had to admit that the young brunette did find trouble quite often. Klaus had to make sure she was somewhere safe and alive at all times. His only reason, he needed her alive. He needed her blood for his hybrids. He smiled as a plan formed in his head. He liked this plan a lot though it would take her a while to wake up. He had to think if he would already start draining some of her blood before she woke up or after. After careful thinking and deliberation he decided to start draining her blood into blood bags after she woke up. That was only courteous of him yes. She was in fact helping him with his hybrids after all.
He wondered where he was going to find her at. Let’s see it was in the middle of the day but not quite three yet. He figured she would be at school. That was usually where Rebekah was at this time of the day. He went to the Mystic Falls High School parking his car in the student parking lot. He didn’t even bother to lock the car. He went around looking for Elena making sure not to run into any of Elena’s friends that knew about him. He stuffed his hands into his jacket as he walked around. Most of the girls kept smiling and looking at him. Of course he knew what they were saying about him because of his being a hybrid. They all just kept talking about how cute he was. He just smiled at them and let them blush and get all embarrassed. He didn’t care about any of them.
He kept walking around campus until he finally found who he was looking for. He smirked as he walked up behind her. She seemed to be glaring at the table. Why he had no idea. The bell ranged and she jumped up heading to class. This was the time he had to act and he did. He got her asleep and he brought her back to his home. He tied her up in a chair because he knew as soon as she woke up if she wasn’t tied to the chair she would bolt, or at least try to anyway. Now he just had to wait for her to wake up. He had some of his hybrids watch her as he went out for a snack. When he came back she was in the same place he left her and still asleep.
He smirked and filled a glass full of whiskey. He took a sip of his drink and sighed wondering when the brunette would wake up. He also wondered how long it would take her friends to realize that young Elena was nowhere to be found. He took another sip of his drink as he walked through the house making sure all of his hybrids were accounted for. Then he brought all that he needed to transfer Elena’s blood from her body to the blood bags into the room where Elena was. He would be prepared when she woke up. With everything in there and ready to be hooked up to her when she woke up all he had to do now was wait. This was the part that Klaus hated. He was impatient so he hated waiting but it would be rude of him to just abruptly awake Elena. He had to be a gentleman of course.
He didn’t keep track of how much whiskey he had before Elena finally woke up. He was sitting in an armchair when she finally came to looking around. He smiled and sipped whiskey from his glass. Hello there dear Elena he said. The smirk never left Klaus face as he got up and set his glass down on the table next to his armchair. He had already sent the hybrids out of the room right now so it was just him and Elena. I do hope you are comfortable though you will understand I had to restrain you. Couldn’t have you trying to leave right now could we he said with the playful smirk on his lips. Now I am curious when I came to get you, you looked very upset. Mind sharing what was wrong he said not actually caring.

[/IMG] - - - - - - - - - - -She could tell where she was almost immediately even though she had only been inside the house once. She knew that she was in the Mikaelson home and while usually the knowledge of where she was comforted her, at this moment it made her even more nervous. She wasn’t afraid that Klaus would kill her simply because he needed her blood to make his ridiculous hybrid slaves. That didn’t mean that it didn’t worry her that she was at the moment tied up in a chair at the mercy of the man who had ruined her life many times over.
She tried to block out the sounds around her, sliding her eyes shut in order to remain inconspicuous for the time being. She didn’t know why she was there or what he wanted but she doubted it could be anything good. Memories slid over her as she thought about the few times that she had been alone in Klaus’ presence. The first time she could easily remember (at least the first time that he was in his real body and not piggy backing off of Alaric’s) was when he had come to take her away from the boarding house on the night of the sacrifice. She could still remember Stefan’s eyes as he stood in front of her, not wanting to let her go. She could still remember telling him that it would be okay and that she would go, that no one needed to get hurt. She could still remember telling him to close his eyes and once they were closed letting his hand go and seemingly disappearing, though in reality Klaus had just moved them extremely fast in order for her (or Stefan) not to change their minds.
She could remember the smell of the woods and the water when they hit the quarry right before he had quite literally shoved her at Greta in order to allow himself to prepare for the sacrifice in whatever way he prepared. She could remember the fear she felt when she had realized that it was Jenna lying on the ground, nor did she forget the look on her aunt’s face when she realized what had gone on. She could still remember hearing that Stefan was offering himself up as an alternative to Jenna in the sacrifice, something that was honestly her worst nightmare. How could she be asked to choose between her family and the love of her life?
She had prayed to everything that she wouldn’t ever be asked to do something like that and yet there it was right in front of her, and she honestly didn’t know which one she would pick. However she clearly remembered Klaus’ words, words that had haunted her once she had realized what he had done for his brother. Oh, don't worry. There's actually no choice. I have other plans for your boyfriend. I want him alive. Those words had haunted her all summer, wondering if he really was alive. She remembered the relief that she had felt when she had heard from him that night, but really, why think about it now? She was in the middle of a very dangerous situation, so thinking about Stefan didn’t need to be going on right now.
Thinking back to the other times she had been in Klaus’ presence unfortunately were still focused on Stefan. Being in the gymnasium and watching Stefan’s face as Klaus compelled him to kill her if Bonnie hadn’t found a way to make his hybrids in twenty minutes. 20 minutes. If Bonnie hasn't found a solution by then, I want you to feed again. Only this time, I want you to feed on Elena. You know you want to. No one leaves. If she tries to run, fracture her spine. She could remember the argument they had as she begged him to fight it before running because he told her to. Unfortunately that didn't work out too well since she ran straight into Klaus, who dragged her into the cafeteria in time to see Stefan drive a stake through his stomach. Now this is fascinating. I've never seen this before. The only thing stronger than your craving for blood is your love for this one girl.
Realizing that if she didn’t ‘wake up’ soon she would be in even more danger she opened her eyes, her thoughts hazing into the background as she focused on the sadistic grin that the hybrid wore. She wanted nothing more than to be extremely strong in this moment in order to smack him in his smug face, but unfortunately that would do nothing. She could remember times when Damon had worn a similar smile and she had slapped him...something that she'd never admit to anyone but she quite enjoyed doing. However this was different. Damon had feelings for her and wouldn't hurt her, Klaus however had no restrictions placed upon him besides one.
She knew that Klaus would easily hurt her, just not enough to spill blood. Her blood was precious to him in a manner of speaking since it was only through her blood could he make his sired hybrids in order to allow him some semblance of family. She had wanted to ask him more than once if he wanted family so badly why he carted his around in coffins for god knows how many years, however she knew that would only end badly so she had always kept her mouth shut.
She glared at the hybrid, her eyes narrowing into slits. “You know even when I knew you were going to kill me because of some stupid sacrifice I didn’t run, so why you felt the need to go about this like you did I don’t understand. I know my blood is the only way you can do what you do so why you didn’t just come over and ask for a donation I’ll never know. As for what I’m upset about, you’d think being how old you were that you would know the answer to that.” She stated with a sneer. She usually started out trying to be pleasant or polite to someone, but with him she couldn’t bare to pretend. “You ruined my life and yet you have the audacity to ask me what is the matter? You killed my aunt, and compelled my boyfriend to not only turn off his humanity, thus shutting off his love for anyone, including me, but you also compelled him to feed on me. Yet I’m supposed to be happy go lucky?” She asked before breathing in a deep breath, reminding herself to try and stay calm.
She prayed someone would notice she was missing, but she doubted it.

----------------------- ----------------------- Klaus thought he could wait patiently for Elena to wake up but he was wrong. He was getting more bored by the minute and that wasn’t good for anyone. All he wanted was to take some blood from her while she was awake. Was that too much to ask for really? Everyone always had to be so stubborn. He didn’t ask for much from the people around him. All he wanted was respect and loyalty and that was hard to come by now a days. Sure they had to do everything exactly like he wanted and do everything he said but that wasn’t too bad. Klaus could be reasonable yes. Of course he could. Everyone else was just a bit over dramatic.
Okay yes he did stake his brothers and sister when they didn’t do some things he asked. Yes he lost his temper with them but he still cared about them. And yes he did hunt down Katarina for his ritual so he could become a hybrid and make more hybrids, which made her become a vampire after all and eventually turning Stefan and Damon into vampires and running their brotherly bond. He was also the cause of Stefan becoming ripper Stefan because of him chasing Katarina. A lot of things can be traced back to Klaus being selfish and doing whatever he wanted when he wanted. He never cared to think about the consequences of his actions. Some would defiantly say that Klaus was selfish.
To make his hybrids Klaus needed Elena alive and well. That meant hurting anyone who brought harm to her. Of course he couldn’t touch Katarina anymore because of the deal he made with Kol but at least he knew Kol wouldn’t be hurting her at all. Now if only he could get his sister Rebekah on track with the no hurting Elena. She wasn’t very fond of her lately and that was understandable as Elena did drive a stake into her back. Because of that his lovely sister decided to start a vendetta against the doppelganger. Klaus couldn’t have that though because he needed Elena’s blood. He had thought about threatening Matt Donovan’s life, the boy that she liked, but he was gone now and he had no idea why, which wasn’t something Klaus liked.
Klaus liked knowing everything that was going on, that was how he got certain things he wanted by knowing things and making deals and blackmailing others. That was how he got Stefan to go with him in the first place. Stefan needed Klaus to save Damon and he did for a price, for Stefan to leave everyone behind and to follow him. He had fun traveling with Stefan trying to make his hybrids, traveling down memory lane. That was when Klaus first brought his sister Rebekah out of the coffin she was in and took the stake out of her heart. He needed her because of a necklace she once owned, the necklace that Elena now wore. Why he didn’t see it before he didn’t know. Of course that necklace to contact that witch he needed drove him back to Mystic Falls. He remembered the day he found out Elena’s blood was the key to making his hybrids. He had caused a lot of trouble that day. He had told Stefan to turn off his humanity, to feed on the love of his life. He had already compelled Stefan to do whatever he said to do no matter what, somehow though Stefan refused to do it. His love for Elena was so strong that he could break a compulsion from an original vampire. Not many people could say they had done that.
He had Elena strapped to the chair because he found that sometimes she could be difficult unless persuaded otherwise. He didn’t want to take any chances today so he tied her to a chair. He made sure someone was in the room at all times, even when he wasn’t there to make sure no one came in here to save her. He didn’t know how long he had before they figured out she was missing. He imagined Stefan and Damon would come swooping in soon in an attempt to save her from the big bad evil that plagued this small town. Oh that did make the hybrid smile.
It felt like he had been waiting for her to wake up but when she finally did there was a smile on the hybrids face. He knew that she might be a little resistant when she first woke up, he expected it of course and he would be worried if she hadn’t. He drinked from his glass as she sat there in the chair no doubt wondering why he brought her here, or maybe she knew why he had brought her here. He had been draining her blood a lot lately always making sure to leave enough days in between for her to replenish what he had took. He finished off his glass of whiskey letting her sit there in silence. He knew it would drive her crazy. He refilled his glass with whiskey.
Of course when she finally spoke to him he felt hate coming from her words. He knew that she had a dislike for him; after all he had ruined her life and almost taken everything she cared about from her. Those were minor glitches in the path that needed to be taken, small sacrifices if you would. Such minor details in the whole scheme of things. Elena was lucky that her brother and friends were still alive. If he wanted to he could kill them all right now and leave town with Elena in tow. He wasn’t going to do that of course so she should be grateful to him for that. He sipped his drink as she talked waiting for her to be finished. Yes well precautions had to be made Elena. I didn’t want it to be so easy for your boyfriends to come and rescue you he said referring to Stefan and Damon.
He took another sip of his drink and sighed. Elena I know you, if I had come up and asked for your blood there would be some hassle over everything. I was simply trying to avoid that because really I don’t have that kind of time he said with a smirk. He took another sip of his drink and swirled the whiskey around in his glass. His back was to her now and he let her sit there in complete silence a little longer before turning around and looking at her again. Now I doubt you were glaring so hard at that table because of the little things I did. Yes your aunt was killed by me so what. She was a mere speck in your life. And yes I compelled Stefan but that was only because I needed answers to why I couldn’t make successful hybrids. All that was just a means to an end Elena. No harm done really he said with that signature smirk they all knew too well on his face.
He took another sip from his glass as two more hybrids came into the room. Extra protection for when your boyfriends arrive he said. He walked closer to Elena smiling. Now just calm down Elena. I will take some blood from you and when I am satisfied I will let you go. No one will get hurt unless your boyfriends or friends attempt to save you then I might just kill one of them. Not Matt of course he left town right. Wonder why? Maybe he was tired of watching all of you be a part of something that he was left out of he said. Klaus wasn’t trying to piss Elena off he was just being Klaus, he never thought before speaking, at all.

[/IMG] - - - - - - - - - - -It wasn’t the first time that Klaus had referred to Damon and Stefan has her boyfriends, nor would it be the last. However that didn’t mean that she wouldn’t respond to it, because she most definitely would. She hated how everyone saw her with the two Salvatore brothers. She knew that a large portion of that was her fault but really what could she do? She knew that Damon was in love with her and there was a small part of her that had feelings for him as well, however the only boyfriend she had, the only one she wanted was Stefan…so why people couldn’t understand that she didn’t know.
That didn’t mean that she wouldn’t say anything though, because this time she did have something to say. She knew that Klaus was unaware of Stefan returning to the good side so to speak which meant that she had the chance to protect him just as he always had done for her. “You need to get a couple of your facts straight Klaus. One, I don’t have boyfriends…single nor plural. I have friends, but no boyfriends.” She stated, this being a deliberate lie but really what was she going to say. “Two, my former boyfriend you took from me. You used his desperation to save his brother against him and forced him to be something he hated. So thinking he would come in and safe me is pretty dumb since you made it clear that he should turn off the part that cares.” She continued on. “Three, you also compelled him to protect me so if by some chance he realizes that I’m in danger and bursts in here, that’s your fault for compelling him to protect me.” She took a breath before finishing up. “And four, I wouldn’t think that you would be worried about them anyway. You have a lot of years and a lot of strength on them…so why the extra precautions?” She asked, hoping she would be able to figure out some way out of this.
Granted, she really wasn’t that concerned because she knew that Klaus wouldn’t kill her. He needed her blood to allow his mutant hybrids to be made in the first place…but that didn’t mean she didn’t worry. She was scared to death that one day he would get bored or annoyed and decide that he had had enough of Mystic Falls and force her to go along with him…and she would. If it meant protecting her friends…her family…those that she loved, she would leave without a moment’s hesitation. She would hate to do it but she most certainly would…and he knew that. Unfortunately anyone who knew even the smallest bit of details about her knew what her main weakness was…it was those that she loved. Her weaknesses were Stefan, Jeremy, Damon, Caroline, Bonnie, Matt, Alaric, Tyler, anyone that she loved was a weakness to her. Threaten one of them and she would do whatever she could do and even something’s that she would have never guessed she was capable of to save them.
She shot him a glare, hating that he thought that he knew her. He clearly knew absolutely nothing about her, no matter how much research he had done on her before coming to Mystic Falls. It was clear to her more than ever before that even though she was sure that Elijah and Rebekah had fed his head with information that they themselves had found out about her that either he hadn't gotten the full history or he just didn't care enough to learn. He really thought that she would put her friends in danger over some blood? He clearly knew nothing about her.
"You clearly aren't as smart as you think you are. I would have given you my blood simply to keep the peace so to speak. You need to remember that you and I have worked out deals before Klaus. I gave you your sister back in exchange for leaving my brother alone. Why would you think that I wouldn't be amlicable to making another deal when it came to my blood. As long as you aren't threatening to kill me or anyone I love I am quite willing to work out a deal simply to keep the peace. However it's obvious that you could care very little about keeping the peace, instead going on and kidnapping me rather than simply asking me. Or even having one of your minions ask me." She shot back at him with venom. She hated that she was in this situation because while again she was sure that he wouldn’t kill her, that didn’t mean he wouldn’t hurt her. There were many ways to hurt someone without spilling a drop of blood, and that was meant both physically and psychologically.
She hated this man more than she had ever hated anyone in her life. How could he say that Jenna and Stefan were merely collateral damage so to speak when he had essentially ruined her life? "No big deal?" She spit out as if the words physically disgusted her. "Jenna was the closest thing to an older sister that I had ever had and in case you'd forgotten she was one of the only parents that I had left! And Stefan? He was everything to me and had never done anything other than honor my wishes when it came to you and yet you turned him to you simply out of greed. Bonnie was already working on helping you in case you'd forgotten so why you felt the need to compel him I don't know but I know it wasn't to find out how hybrids were made." She continued on. She wasn’t the type of person to let someone speak about things that they clearly knew nothing about and not reciprocate her own opinions. She was a fairly opinionated person so to speak, especially about those that she cared about, and she refused to let someone like Klaus say what he was without speaking up.
She noted two more people coming in, hybrids she was guessing. She hadn't ever really spoken with one of his hybrids with the exception of Tyler and he really didn't count. She knew that Tyler had felt the sire bond and that some things had come between him and Caroline but she had never truly examined it in the way that she would like to. She made a mental note to ask Stefan and Damon if they had any sort of sire bond towards Katherine but before that thought even finished she was already disregarded it. She knew for a fact that there was no sire bond between Stefan and Katherine for a fact. If there had been any sort of bond there then Stefan would have taken Katherine back when she came for him the year before. However he pushed her away from him repeatedly like it was nothing.
Damon was different. She had wondered ever since they had learned about the sire bond if that was Damon’s problem when he first came to Mystic Falls. It was strange to her to remember all that Damon went through to rescue Katherine from the tomb…just not seeing him as that type of person. Oh she knew more than anyone what he would do for someone he loved but it wasn’t like him to just blindly follow someone like he did Katherine, especially with not an ounce of proof to go on.
Before she could continue on her thoughts she heard Klaus open his mouth (something that was never a good thing in her opinion) and start spouting out about how he would take her blood and let her go. That wasn’t what bothered her by any stretch of the imagination. No, it was his comment about Matt. She immediately stiffened, her eyes boring into the original hybrid’s skull. “How did you know about Matt?” She asked, wondering if he was about ready to confirm her suspicions about why matt left. “Did you do something to him?” She asked, her voice steely. She knew that she had no chance in hell of hurting Klaus but she knew that if she found out that he had been the reason for Matt disappearing that Bonnie would stop at nothing to make sure that he was silenced and that Matt was brought home safe and sound. Bonnie had only stopped looking for Matt on her request but if she found out that Klaus had a hand in this she knew damn well that all bets would be off.

----------------------- ----------------------- One thing Klaus loved to do was annoy Elena Gilbert. One of the ways you could do that was refer to the Salvatore brothers as her boyfriends, and of course that Matt Donovan seemed to really like her as well but he was gone now; just left Mystic Falls for some reason. Klaus didn’t really care why he left so he didn’t care to find out at all. He was just glad that one of Caroline’s old boyfriends was gone and out of the way. Tyler was gone as well now all that was left was that Dean Winchester boy. He wondered if Elena knew anything about him. Maybe he would ask her? She probably wouldn’t tell him anything though, she was annoying like that.
Elena started talking to him after she finally woke up about how she didn’t have any boyfriends at all. Well it had been a little bit since she woke up and they had already exchanged a few words back and forth. He sighed as she of course blamed him for that as well. Young kids these days of course never took responsibility for their own actions. Klaus figured if she truly loved Stefan then she would have held onto him tighter, not let him go and they would have figured out some other way to save Damon but they didn’t. Not his fault that his blood is the only cure for vampires with werewolf bites.
He rolled his eyes at her about Stefan coming in there to protect her if he thought she was in danger. And yet he knows I would never actually hurt you because I need your blood so unless there is any other reason why he might come in here to save you I am all ears he said smiling and then added of course if Damon would to come in here to save you and hopefully be in your good graces after, which we all know he likes you, then maybe Stefan would see that as a threat and come in here and put Damon out of his misery. How is he by the way may I ask? I compelled him as well and I find it amusing that I never took it off.
He gave her another smile at her comment about why was he worried. On the contrary he wasn’t worried. He knew he could take care of himself when it came to Damon and Stefan but there was just some reason why he didn’t want them come busting in. Yes I know I can but if you must know one I don’t want blood on my new carpet, and two I really don’t want you ending up getting killed on accident in the crossfire because then I couldn’t make my hybrids he said. He walked over to a table and refilled his glass with whiskey. He swirled the liquid around in his glass for a bit then took a sip. He sighed then smiled at her again. So tell me about this Dean Winchester fellow he said to her bringing a chair close to her and placing it in front of her. He sat down in the chair awaiting her answer. Then came the glare. Great what was that for? He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. Then she finally answered his thought as to what she was glaring at him about. He sipped the whiskey in his glass acting like he didn’t care, because well he didn’t. Yes I know we have love but I always want to make sure of everything. You have been tolerant before but there may come a time where you stop that and fight back. So yes precaution is in order he said. He grinned at her and said what can I say coming and getting you myself was more fun. He smiled and sipped the whiskey from his glass. A lot of people hated Klaus. He didn’t care though he wasn’t here to be liked. Then she started going on again about how he messed up her life and how it was a big deal and all that nonsense. He honestly didn’t care about Jenna or Stefan or anyone else in Elena’s life, except for Caroline Forbes of course. He sipped from his glass as she went on ranting about how Jenna was her family. Don’t forget I also go bored. I wanted some fun love he said grinning. He knew that would not make her happy. He sipped more whiskey from his glass. He really should go ahead and start to take her blood. I loved watching Stefan tear into those humans. He really has a gift for that you know. Guess that was why he was the ripper and Damon wasn’t he said smiling at her. We should start taking your blood now love he said as he got up and refilled his glass. Yet he didn’t start taking her blood. Letting her sweat it out a few more minutes wouldn’t hurt him. No one was actually coming in there because no one knew she was missing. They were all so stupid that it would take them a while to figure it out. He wondered if any of his siblings would be coming home soon. He knew Rebekah would have a problem with Elena here but Kol could care less. He and Kol had an unwritten agreement that Elena, Caroline, and Katarina wouldn’t be harmed at all. Then she stiffened. He smiled, he had touched a nerve with her and she wasn’t prepared for what he had just said about Matt. This would be fun and of course she blamed him, suspected him. He rolled his eyes and took a sip of his drink. Actually I didn’t do anything to him. Kol told me he was gone. So sad to hear that too was going to threaten him to make sure Rebekah didn’t harm you, make him be insurance for her behaving herself he said smiling. He sat down in the chair again and took another sip from his glass. Leave it to Elena and her friends thinking he had done something. Was that the first thought that had come to her mind. Well he did compel Stefan to leave her, compel Damon to forget everything and well yeah he could see how she thought that. This time though Klaus hands were clean in whatever had happened. He gave her a smile and said if you want I could help you look for him. For a price of course. Klaus help was not free to anyone, not even to Caroline though she could probably make him go easy on his asking price. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair. So when did he go missing he said then took a sip from his glass. He grinned at her. Ready to get started then he asked her. [/IMG] - - - - - - - - - - -She bit her lip to keep from screaming at the arrogant original hybrid. Good lord did she hate this man more than she could possibly describe. He never seemed to realize that everything he did hurt people. Sure he may only do things because he wants a so called family but maybe if he wouldn’t have carted his real family around in coffins for god knows how many years than he wouldn’t have to make his own family out of sired hybrids. Of course she never would say this out loud for fear that he would hurt someone that she cared about since he couldn’t technically hurt her but that didn’t mean she wasn’t screaming it in her mind.
Hearing his words about Damon she kept quiet, refusing to alert him to the fact that Elijah had actually taken the compulsion off. She hadn’t spoken to Damon herself yet but she had spoken to Elijah who informed her about taking the compulsion off. She had also spoken to Stefan who had learned after listening in at the ball that Damon was back to his old self…well…the old self that he had been prior to being compelled. She was more than grateful to Elijah for taking away the compulsion so she wouldn’t rat him out, though it would be entertaining to see the look on Klaus’ face when he learned that his brother took away his toy so to speak.
“You know damn well that the only reason Damon nor Stefan is here is because you’ve got both of them under your thumb.” She told him, outwardly lying and thanking god that she had both vervain in her system as well as several pieces of jewelry with vervain in them. This meant that Klaus could not compel her to tell him anything which was a good thing for her as well for those that she loved.
Hearing the reasons that Klaus didn't want Stefan and Damon barging in because of not getting blood on the carpet nor wanting her to die in the crossfire made her irate. She hated him because he truly didn't care about anyone but himself. He said that he wanted a family but really he just wanted people to do his bidding. She briefly wondered if he really wanted anything other than complete power but refused to think on that anymore. She didn't want to know the answer on what else he could possibly want because honestly she had very little left to give.
He had already taken away her aunt, her uncle who was also her biological father, her boyfriend and boyfriend’s brother. She couldn’t lose anyone else and she refused to give him the satisfaction of taking anyone else from her, which was the reason she kept quiet as much as possible. She didn’t want to have to keep quiet, she wanted to yell out that he was an insane jackass and she hated him, but she couldn’t for fear of losing someone else that she loved.
She hated him more than anything when he spoke about Stefan and how much he enjoyed watching him rip into humans. She couldn’t hold her tongue but unfortunately she couldn’t. She had never been one who could stop themselves from saying something if she felt passionately enough about it and Stefan in any matter fell into that category. “You know damn well that if Stefan would have had a conscious during that whole time he would have hated himself and you for forcing him to do that.” She told angrily. “You may think you know him but you don’t. You may think that he’s your friend, your brother, whatever you feel like he is, but he hates you. I know what he said about you before all this went down and all of it was about how to kill you to protect his real family.” She told him with hate dripping from her tone. She knew the worst thing to say to Klaus was the real family comment but she couldn’t care less in that moment.
The brunette’s eyes widened as she watched a nurse walk into the room. She didn’t like the look of this and she really didn’t want to do this. Try and hold still, it’ll only hurt more if you move. Was all the woman said before she slid a needle into her arm and placed an empty blood back connected to it on the back of the chair. Elena watched, entranced, as her blood slipped out of her. This could not end well for her, not at all. She doubted Klaus would actually kill her but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t do it accidentally. How did he know how much blood he could safely drain from her before she died? She prayed that someone would notice that she was missing before it was too late…though she didn’t have high hopes for it.
Moving around, trying to figure out a way to get away though knowing it was useless she was surprised to feel her phone dig into her side. She hadn’t realized she still had her phone in her pocket. Now granted she knew that there was no way she could a.) get the phone out of her pocket with her hands bound nor b.) do it in any time before Klaus noticed since he was seated right in front of her. However that didn’t mean she couldn’t be crafty about it. Moving again so that the outline of her phone wasn’t as clear she shifted to her right, allowing her belt buckle to dig into the buttons on her phone. She thought she heard a ringing but couldn’t be for sure so she simply allowed Klaus to continue talking, hoping that someone on the other end would realize who it was and where she was. Though she knew that if it was Stefan that he’d have to get someone else to come get her since they were keeping his newly de-ripperfied status to themselves for as long as possible.
Hearing his words about Matt actually did make her relax a bit. She hadn’t really thought it was Klaus who had caused Matt to leave in the first place as Klaus wasn’t one to go underhanded like that. He liked to brag about the things that he did, not hide behind a compulsion so to speak. However she was glad to know that it wasn’t Rebekah either. “He went missing a few days ago after him and Caroline had a fight.” She told him honestly, finding no reason to lie about it. “I think someone compelled him to leave by the notes he left me.” She stated, wincing as the nurse switched out one blood bag for another. She hadn’t eaten this morning having run late so she was definitely feeling the effects on losing her blood. She didn’t know exactly how many blood bags someone could take from her before she died but she doubted it would be many. She just hoped that someone would find her. Or at least make sure that if they didn’t that they would protect Jeremy.
“Any ideas who that could be?” She asked, hoping to keep him talking while trying to think of a way out of this.

----------------------- ----------------------- He knew that Elena hated him. A lot of people hated him but he honestly didn’t care about that. Being liked wasn’t on his list of concerns at the moment, well except Caroline. Caroline was the only person he cared about really, well besides his brothers and sisters but he treated Caroline better for some reason though he would do anything for his siblings. He only stabbed them in the heart and put them in coffins when they wouldn’t listen to him and do what he wanted. Klaus knew better and he tried to be patient with his siblings but they just wouldn’t listen.
Elena was quiet for a long time. That wasn’t like her. She was constantly talking, annoying him. He stared at her and sipped his drink. You are too quiet he said then of course she started talking again. He smiled chuckling at her. He took another sip of his drink then swirled the liquid around in his glass. He shrugged with a smirk on his face. They just know better now, they know not to challenge me he said. Klaus still figured that Stefan was still ripper Stefan and that Damon was compelled. That was how he knew that none of them would come in here but he just didn’t want to take any chances.
She had a look on her face that he knew meant she was irritated. All he said was that he didn’t want blood on his carpet and he didn’t want her killed. That was very simple. If Elena died she would get blood on his new carpet but he also couldn’t make his hybrids anymore and he needed her. So he wanted power and a lot of it, so what. That was the only way to really get respect in this world through power and if he had ultimate power no one would or could stop him. Everyone would give him what he wanted without any complaining. His siblings would do anything without questioning him ever again.
Then she went on about how Stefan would never have done any of that if he had a conscious. He smiled at her and said I hate to bust your safe little bubble but Stefan had been a ripper when I first met him. He was ruthless and cunning, and it was a wonderful sight. He sipped his drink then refilled his glass again. He swirled the liquid in his glass again. You actually don’t know him as well as you think my dear Elena he said with a glare at her.
He sipped his drink again and turned away from her as a nurse that he compelled to take Elena’s blood. He kept his back to her as her blood was being taken and sipped his drink. Then she started going on about Matt again. I had been talking with my brother Kol. I was thinking about using that Matt Donovan human to keep Rebekah behaving and he told him of his departure. I had nothing to do with it Elena he said his back still to her. Him and Caroline had a fight that intrigued him greatly. Anything about Caroline intrigued him. What did they fight about
he asked then sipped his drink. I honestly have no idea he said not offering to look into it. He would only do that if he was to get something out of it.[/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------- WORD COUNT:: 568 TAG:: Elena Gilbert OUTFIT:: ---- NOTES:: Sorry for the shortage. [/IMG] - - - - - - - - - - -Hearing Klaus say that she was too quiet made her jump, though she hadn’t been doing anything wrong luckily. She had no idea if anyone would hear what was going on but hopefully whoever she was able to dial was. The reason she was quiet was because her blood was draining quickly, too quickly. She could feel herself weakening by the moment and this was not something that she cared to feel. It was a disconcerting feeling, knowing that your blood was quite literally being drained from your body and you had no way to test it. She didn’t even like giving blood to the Red Cross because of the feeling that was associated with it.
Rolling her eyes at Klaus’ statement about not challenging him she kept her mouth shut, not saying a word. She was having a hard time keeping her eyes open though she fought against the blackness that seemed to be coming closer and closer. She felt the nurse behind her taking the full bag of blood and hooking up an empty one. She looked down to see her blood was slowing, which in her not so expert opinion was not a good sign. She needed help or Klaus needed to let up before she was completely gone.
She continued to keep her mouth shut even after he made the comments about Stefan. She knew that she didn’t know the ripper side of him as well as Klaus did but that didn’t mean that she didn’t know him. She knew his heart, knew his soul, knew the Stefan that everyone thought had died back in 1864. Sure his vampire side so to speak was a bit different than his human side but that didn’t matter. She fell in love with his heart, his soul, his humanity, not the blood thirsty vampire that he had once been.
She wanted to scream out that Klaus was the reason he was the way that he was now….or had been before Lexi got a hold of him. She wanted to throw things at him, wanted to run. Unfortunately she couldn’t do any of those things with the rapidly loss of consciousness that she was feeling thanks to the removal of her blood from her veins. She briefly wondered if he realized what he was doing or if he was just so into hearing himself speak that he had lost sight of the fact that he was going to kill her if he wasn’t careful.
Hearing his question about Caroline she shrugged as best as she could. “I don’t know. All I know is that Caroline is with someone else and apparently Matt didn’t take it very well.” She told him, though her words were slightly slurred she tried her best to hide it. She didn’t even think of the fact that telling him that Caroline was with someone else could be a huge problem for both Caroline and the guy she was with (she thought his name was Dean but she really needed to get confirmation of that should she live long enough to do so). She really didn’t think of much at all other than how bad this was starting to get.
She knew she was leading to bad shape very quickly. She hadn’t eaten today so that might be the reason that the blood loss was affecting her as quickly as it was but that didn’t really matter to her, what mattered was that she needed to get herself out of this house before she lost consciousness or worse. She couldn’t let Jeremy down, or Alaric, or Bonnie, or Caroline, or Stefan or Damon. She had to be there for them and she knew that the only way to do that was to figure out a way out of this. She tugged on her bonds as hard as she could though in reality it wasn’t much strength that she tried them with as she was a human for starters and weak for another. She wished Tyler or one of his other hybrids would come in and see her but she had a feeling that it wouldn’t matter if they were bonded to him.
She needed help, soon.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - Where was everyone tonight? Multiple times she'd tried to call Bonnie and Elena and hadn't heard anything. She wanted to know if they'd found out anything about Matt yet and neither of them had answered their damn phones. Knowing Elena she'd probably broken hers and Bonnie was probably in one of her 'moods'. Damn them. It was driving her crazy not knowing where Matt was or even if he was okay. God, he could be dead for all they knew! A part of her wished that she'd told him how she felt...Truth be told she did love him. However a part of her had found something new...something exciting in Dean and she hadn't wanted to let that go. Maybe if she'd told Matt she still loved him, he would still be here. Maybe he wouldn't have left all of them. Maybe he wouldn't have left her, just when they were beginning to grow close again...
Basically, it'd been driving her insane. The fact that she hadn't been able to get a hold of her friends was annoying as well. In a desperate attempt to get a hold of someone she put a call into Jeremy as well but also got voicemail. At least he had an excuse, he was probably working. What the hell were Elena and Bonnie doing? Bonnie was probably off being emo and ignoring them all. And Elena was probably off sandwiched between the Salvatore brothers. Maybe that was taking it too far but hell, she was mad.
Seated on top of her bed, she laid on her stomach and flicked on her television. The second she got comfy her phone started vibrating in her pocket. With a groan she rolled over onto her back and pulled it out of her pocket. Seeing the screen flashing that Elena was calling she groaned yet again. "Finally!" she exclaimed, then clicking the accept button and bringing it up to her ear. "Where ---" and before she could even finish her question she heard a peculiar voice. Klaus...and yet she didn't hear Elena's voice at first. Panic immediately went all throughout her body.
Completely still, Caroline started to listen, pining all of her energy into her senses. In seconds she heard something about blood, not wanting to get blood on the carpet? And Stefan and Damon rescuing her? Seconds later she heard Elena's voice as well. At least she's alive.. With this she immediately ended the call and jumped out of bed. On the way downstairs she dialed both Stefan and Damon, but was unable to get either of them. Without thinking much more about it she took off towards Klaus' estate. Not caring if people saw her blurring by she ran full speed all the way until she reached the large mansion. Stopping just outside the front door, she started peeking around the house to see if she could see through any of the windows.
Unable to see inside, she headed around to the back. Entering through a door going into the kitchen she snapped the door knob to allow herself in. Luckily she didn't need an invite. Silently making her way towards the voices she stopped in the hallway to continue listening. Peeking around the wall, back flat, she spotted Elena tied to a chair. Klaus was draining her blood...She could either try and simply steal Elena away, or she could try and convince Klaus to let her go. Either way was dangerous...and she was unsure. Nervously watching the scene she noticed Elena's skin going pale. The smell of blood was strong throughout the house and she had to admit, it smelled good. However she'd learned quickly to have self control and her eyes didn't blacken a bit. Deciding making a run for it was their best option, she decided to throw caution to the wind and go for it.
In a blur, she sped into the room and started quickly untying the knots over Elena's wrists. Now, if they could only just both make it out alive... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ::TAG:: Klaus, Elena Gilbert. ::OUTFIT:: Click here for Caroline's outfit.::WORD COUNT:: 688 ::NOTES:: Caroline to the rescue!

----------------------- ----------------------- Elena continued to be quiet throughout everything Klaus said. Usually she was always, constantly talking and he couldn’t get her to shut up when he wanted her to. This made things a little concerning for him. He knew he was taking a lot of blood but they were almost done. Just another bag or two and he would let her go. She had been such a good sport with all this so far that he was feeling a little generous today. He sipped from his glass as he stared into the fire that was in the fireplace. It was strange of course when she finally talked. It was about Caroline and Matt and the guy Caroline was dating.
Klaus listened to everything Elena said and nodded. Yes she is dating that Dean Winchester boy. Kol told me all about him and his brother. Hunters yes like your teacher guardian Saltzman. How is he doing by the way? Death of a loved one is terrible Klaus said not looking at her. He took another sip of his drink. It’s a shame Matt is gone. He comes in handy when I need to get Rebekah to behave. She has some sort of crush on the human boy. Oh well guess I’ll have to find a new way till he gets back he said then he turned around and looked at her. He will come back. I know the boy, not as well as you do but enough to know that he won’t leave you and Caroline here alone too long. Not with me still around he said then turned back around.
He took another sip from his glass as Caroline came flying into the room. She got Elena unhooked but Klaus didn’t care because the last bag had been finished when she came in. Caroline you are just in time. I was about to untie Elena and let her go. The last blood bag was just filled he said turning around and smiling at her. Don’t you have great timing love he said walking closer to them. He looked at Caroline and asked so how did you know she was here love?
He figured she wouldn’t tell him but it wouldn’t hurt to ask. He had wanted he wanted, more of Elena’s blood to make his hybrids. He also didn’t hurt Elena something he promised Caroline he would try and attempt at, which is why she was tied up so she wouldn’t get hurt. He smiled at her and took a sip from his glass. Do you want something to drink Caroline and Elena would you like something to eat he asked her figuring Elena wanted something to eat after giving up so much blood. He was being nice and he knew this would throw them off just a little because he was never really nice to anyone but Caroline unless he wanted something. He finished his glass and refilled it while waiting for their answers to his questions. Oh Caroline how is Dean he asked.

[/IMG] - - - - - - - - - - -She was really starting to lose hope. Knowing her luck she probably dialed the weather number or a voicemail or something when she had pressed the buttons on her phone so clearly no one was coming to rescue her. The fact that this was the way her life was going to end did not surprise her at all. She had known from the time that she had really realized what Stefan was that she would eventually die by the hands of a vampire. Hell she had known after learning about the sacrifice that the vampire who would take her life would be Klaus.
She thought about those that she would leave behind. Stefan, the man that she could have seen herself spending her days with until her last breath. She had often dreamed about what it would be like had he been human. She could see them getting married, having children, having grandchildren, and dying like the old couple in the notebook did. She knew Caroline would be proud of her for that last thought. She could see them watching their children running around playing together, watching them graduate, and do all those things that people do. She could see the tears in his eyes as she gave birth to their first child.
Unfortunately none of that would happen.
She could see the blackness coming closer and with her last breath she muttered the words that she had said to Klaus once before. “Go to hell.” She told him before she allowed the blackness to take over her, knowing that a light would eventually be at the end of the tunnel.
Before she could even begin to follow that thought though she heard Klaus greet what sounded like Caroline. She tried to pry her eyes open and when she did she was greeted with the site of her best friend who seemed to be pretty much holding her. “Care.” She whispered, not being able to really make much more noise other than that simple word. She needed her to get her out of here before she lost it…or before she was lost. She knew that she had too much blood taken from her and if she wanted to make it she would need something to get blood back into her.
Finally not being able to take it any longer she felt her head drop back and her eyes close, this time she couldn’t bring herself to reopen them.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - Caroline found it very surprising that Klaus didn't try to stop her from untying Elena. Instead he seemingly just stood there and drank his glass of whatever the hell he was drinking. She kept listening to see if he was going to move but didn't hear him thus far. So instead she hurriedly untied the ropes and let them drop to the floor. What she couldn't untie she simply ripped in half, and dropped all the shreds to the ground. She heard Elena mutter her name but then her eyes closed completely, and her head seemed to hang down. Caroline leaned in and barely heard breathing. From what she could tell...It was getting even worse, and her heartbeat was slowing. "Elena - you need to wake back up, okay?" she said, kneeling down and placing her hands on the girl's knees.
One of her hands then moved up to hold Elena's chin, holding her head up for her. "Please, Elena...You can't do this!" By this point Caroline was freaking the hell out. This was one of her best friends in the entire world and she was dying. This could not be happening. God she wished the Salvatore's had answered their damn phones. Caroline did not do well in a crisis of this multitude. Sure, an outfit crisis or a dance, fine, but nothing like this. Not to mention she hadn't ever really rescued anyone. In fact she was usually the person being rescued. Even as she slightly shook the girl she didn't stir. The heartbeat slowed...slowed so far that she didn't think it was going to be there for much longer.
Whipping her head around to look at Klaus she glared at him in outrage. "Shut the hell up Klaus. I think you've done enough" she said, shaking Elena once more. She reached out and picked the girl up, hefting her over her shoulder and then headed over to the couch in the large room. In the background she heard Klaus yammering on still but paid him no mind. She was fucking pissed. Laying Elena down on the couch, she propped her head up on a pillow and then checked her pulse again. It was weak...She was dying. Elena was really dying.
"You said you wouldn't hurt her Klaus! You did more than hurt her - she's dying. I don't know how I ever felt anything for you." Turning back to Elena she leaned down...If she didn't do something fast, the girl was going to die. Her best friend was going to die, right here, in her arms. And she had no plan whatsoever.
God! She needed to think and she needed to think quickly. Her mind was blank. And then it came to her...No, she couldn't do that, could she? It was the one thing Elena said that she never wanted. The one thing she wished to never become. But Caroline sure as hell wasn't going to let her die...
So she brought her wrist to her mouth, and sank her fangs into it. Before the wound could close she placed it against Elena's lips. At first she seemed unwilling to drink it. With her other free hand she pushed the girl's head forward, basically forcing it down her throat. She wasn't going to let her best friend die. She would deal with the consequences later. And if she had any say in it, Klaus would be dead as soon as she was finished. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ::TAG:: Klaus, Elena Gilbert. ::OUTFIT:: Click here for Caroline's outfit.::WORD COUNT:: 602 ::NOTES:: ----

----------------------- ----------------------- Klaus wasn’t going to kill Elena. He needed her blood for his hybrids and he needed her human to get more blood from her later to make more hybrids. Klaus would never hurt Elena and he wasn’t hurting her now. All he was doing was taking some blood from her and then she was free, it was simple really. That was why he wasn’t worried about Elena; he knew she wouldn’t die because he wouldn’t allow it. He needed her way too much. He took what he needed from her and was about to let her go when Caroline came in and started to untie her. Well that just saved him from having to do the work himself but he did wonder how she knew Elena was here.
He heard Caroline tell Elena that she needed to wake back up. He knew Elena was fine because well she had to be. She is fine Caroline. All she needs is something to eat and she will have her energy back trust me he said and then added I wouldn’t hurt her. I told you I wouldn’t. I was just about to untie her when you came in. She is fine. That was when he heard it. He stopped talking and focused in on Elena long enough to hear it, her heartbeat. It was slowing down. No…that can’t be right. I didn’t take that much blood from her he thought to himself. He looked at Elena and walked over to her. No he said. Elena won’t die. I won’t allow it he said to no one but himself.
Caroline yelled at him and he shook his head. I didn’t take that much blood Caroline. I took the same amount as before. Why is Elena being affected like this? What did you and your friends do to her he asked her pissed that Elena wasn’t as strong as she once was. Humans could replenish the blood they lost and Klaus made sure to have room in between getting blood from Elena where she could replenish what he took. He had to figure out why Elena was being affected like this now.
That was when he saw it. What Caroline was going to do to save Elena; give her vampire blood in case she died? No he said to her not wanting Elena to become a vampire. He couldn’t lose the only way to make his hybrids successfully. You can’t do that Caroline. If something was to happen to her and she died she would become a vampire and I lose my ability to make more hybrids. She has to stay human he told her. He knew Caroline wouldn’t listen to him because she never listened to him. She always thought she knew the answer to the problem. We need to keep Elena alive but human. Give her something to eat or something. Won’t that help he said.

[/IMG] - - - - - - - - - - -She could hear voices behind her but she wasn’t quite sure who they were. One sounded like it had an accent and the other sounded simply upset. She could almost recognize the woman’s voice, she felt as if she knew it. She felt as if she should understand the words that were being said but for the life of her she couldn’t seem to translate them. It almost felt as if she was under water though she couldn’t feel her body well enough to make that assessment. She wanted to either fade away or fight against the heaviness in her chest but she wasn’t sure how to do either.
She could feel herself fading and for a brief moment she relished it. She knew what was happening. In those few precious seconds everything became clear. She knew that she was dying and for a moment she welcomed it. She welcomed the thought of never having to lose someone else, never having to deal with the possibility that she would one day forget who she really was. She never wanted to feel that way but in those precious seconds she wanted it, she wanted to be gone, to finally let go and be free.
Unfortunately no one truly ever gets everything they want. She felt her mouth being wrenched open and she tried desperately to fight against the intrusion however she wasn’t strong enough as she felt a hot liquid being poured down her throat. She couldn’t taste it but she knew it was something that she didn’t want. Unfortunately she didn’t have the choice in the matter. Feeling the aches and pains come to her as if she was being pulled out from the water she opened her eyes, looking around in confusion. “Care?” She asked, seeing the fuzzy outline of her blonde haired best friend.
Looking around she remembered where she was, though she wasn’t sure exactly what had happened to make Caroline (and Klaus for that matter) looked as freaked out as they were. “Uhh…what happened?” She asked, briefly wondering if Klaus had called Caroline to come and get her. She knew that Klaus wouldn’t kill her since he needed her to stay human but that didn’t mean that he wouldn’t hurt her, he had done it in the past so what would stop him from doing it this time? Who knew. “Caroline what the hell happened?” She asked, her eyes flashing. She felt a lot better which usually meant something was wrong.
This couldn’t be good.
She felt the darkness bringing her back in as she looked at her best friend. She heard something about taking her to Lexi before all went black again. This time it was hours before she resurfaced.
