- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She bit her lip to stifle a groan when Damon seemed to grow even more angry. Oh yeah, she definitely needed to have a word or two with Niklaus. She personally thought it was distasteful to compel another vampire into forgetting who they were. If that was the only way that Niklaus could get people to follow him then maybe that meant he wasn’t a good leader, though she knew he would never think of that. She had gotten along with Niklaus back several hundred years ago or so but she had always found his obsession with the Petrova doppelganger and breaking the curse that she had always known wasn’t the sun and moon curse though she had only found out recently about his half werewolf side…something that she had been extremely put out about.
"I have a few theories" She interjected...having thought about this since she had learned that Damon was under compulsion. "Think about it and I'm sure you will come up with the same theories that I have. Why would Niklaus have your memories taken away? Because then you wouldn't be so set on keeping the doppelganger safe at all cost." She stated, though there was no malice in her voice, simply knowledge. "You have tried to turn her more than once if I'm not mistaken in order to keep her safe. Your brother wouldn't do that against her will and Niklaus would rather her die than become a vampire because that would be the end of his hybrids." She stated knowingly.
She wasn’t surprised when Damon snapped at her about Elena, though she would admit that it stung a bit. She did care for him, more than she would admit to anyone, including herself, and it bothered her that it was clear that he would choose Elena over her, though it was not a surprise in the least. “Like I said Damon, I won’t touch her. I’ll even help protect her.” She stated, trying to keep the emotion out of her voice though there was a slight sneer to it if you listened hard enough. She looked away from him then, refusing to look in his eyes and see the amount of love he had for the last in the Petrova line. She wished that she could behave childishly for a few moments and remind him that while he may be in love with Elena that she had chosen his brother over him time and time again. However it was distasteful for her to do so which was the only reason she kept her mouth shut.
She was surprised that Damon seemed to know the ramifications of killing the original family, though she knew she shouldn’t have been. She figured Elijah would comment on it so she kept her mouth shut again, but she wished that she could remind him that she had never actually said that she was interested in killing Niklaus, simply putting him down for a life time…or two…in order to teach him some manners. Hearing about the witch named Bonnie who she knew was one of the last in the Bennett line she waited to hear what Elijah would say before commenting herself. She didn’t know this witch but during her surveillance she had learned that she wasn’t a fan of vampires so she wondered how Damon knew that she would even help them.
She didn’t look at Damon when Elijah told her that she must focus on the bigger picture and not Damon. She didn’t really appreciate her feelings being let out like that but she let it slide, knowing that Elijah in a way was testing her to see if she could handle it. “I care about many people Elijah, but I have always been one to do what needs to be done for the sake of right and wrong. You know what I do most of the time, I go around and correct wrongs that need to made right. Niklaus has become to powerful and as so needs to be stopped. I will do what you feel needs to be done and help with whatever you need. I will focus on the task at hand while also settling a few tasks of my own which was the whole reason I came to Mystic Falls. Do not worry and you do not have to question my loyalty. If I thought Niklaus was doing nothing but making a nuisance of himself this conversation would go an entirely different way. However he has become too strong. Those hybrids of his cannot only kill humans, but they can kill us, and as so they, and he, must be stopped.”

------------------------------ [/b][/size]  ------------------------------[/b][/size] Damon hated being controlled and restrained from something especially from someone he hates so much. Klaus had taken over Damon and probably could have made him side with him if he had the chance but luckily Damon ran into Sophia before any of that could happen. Klaus had made him forget the moment he entered Mystic Falls. What Damon felt before, he was the old him and in all honesty...it was kind of nice. He didn't have to worry about anyone and he didn't have to pretend to be some guy that always does the good thing first, it wasn't him. He didn't have to worry about humanity but he still worried about Katherine which was a downfall. He was good now although he had a lot of mixed emotions now. He needed to thinks through but obviously it wasn't the right time to hopefully after this he could go home without his brother being there or Elena, he needed time.
Damon listened to what Sophia said and it made a lot of sense actually. She was smart which was hot actually. "Clever," he said with a smirk. He just loved how she talked but he had to get back to the serious topic which was Klaus. "So, he wants to play that kind of game." Damon couldn't really say he would kill Klaus since he couldn't, he wanted to but of course the vampire line plus the fact he needed the white oak. "Okay, he's afraid, he should be." Damon couldn't hurt Klaus but he could find ways around hurting him and screw up his plans. If Elena just became a vampire then all of this would be easier but Damon knew how much Elena wanted to be a human and to have kids and get married. Damon still didn't understand how she would have kids if she was in love with Stefan and only wanted him. But that bridge would probably come sooner or later.
Damon looked at Sophia when she agreed to protect Elena which kind of surprised her. "Glad we got that cleared up then." He did care about Sophia a lot but he was put into a position where he loved Elena and he wasn't sure if he could let go of her, at least not now. Maybe within time he could and love Sophia if it ever went that far. He deserved someone who loved him back right? Or should he be the hopeless lover who doesn't get the girl. It just seems when it always came to Stefan he got it and maybe this made Damon jealous but he would never admit it. He knew that possibly one day him and Sophia would have to talk about their feelings or something which he probably would never want to do but Sophia probably wouldn't want to either, they seemed both too stubborn but he would have to see what happened in the near future.
Damon wasn't sure if he could keep up to that promise, doing it Elijah's way only but maybe he would. "Depends how I feel that day," he said in a little sarcastic tone. "I'm surprised you included me in your plans, my brother being a little moody again? But okay I'll bite." Damon would talk to Elijah later on or when Elijah chose to speak to him unless Damon wanted to find Elijah. Damon looked at Sophia feeling a little hurt actually, she said she cared for many people so what was he to her? After a few seconds Damon looked away from her putting his walls up, if she wanted to be like that then he would be the exact same, he could play her game and he would do better. He looked at Elijah not wanting to look at Sophia feeling a little hurt at what she said. Did he say something for her to act cold or was she just playing with him, but then why would she want his memories back? He felt like some high school boy wanting the girl to like him and worrying. He cared for her and she cared for him, that's all he knew...well he knew he cared for her hopefully the feelings were mutual.

----------------------- [/b]  -----------------------[/b] Elijah couldn’t help but be amused at the exchange between the three of them. Moreso the exchange of emotions between Sophia and Damon. They were both idiots..they would hook up. He knew it, if they didn’t they were foolish. Still, that was not the important matter right now. Hence the mentioning of their feelings for each other out in the open and saying that it wasn’t the time. After this mess with Klaus was over, he could care less what they did.He heard Sophia mention how she liked to correct wrongs, he smiled then said “An admirable trait my dear, one I’ve admired for years I apologize for questioning your loyalty..I find myself questioning everything around me lately I am glad to have you on my side”He then grabbed her hand and gave it a kiss. He then looked at Damon and listened to him rant about how he was angry at Niklaus, and rightfully so.He was pleased that Damon would listen to him, and the more he listened to Damon, the more he realized how immature that he was being. Whatever he didn;t have time for these childish games. He said to him “Your brother being moody is not something new from what I’ve seen, but you should check on him and see for yourself Damon”
He then looked around, he decided it was his time to leave the two be and go pay Elena a visit. He should be the one to tell her that he brought Damon back. He also had a pressing appointment with his sister. He looked to the two of them and said “Yes we’ve established that Niklaus has to be dealt with and he will, I will be in contact with you both but for now I have pressing matters elsewhere” He then started to back away from the pair. “By the way Damon, you’re welcome” Then sped off towards his home to meet his sister, then to Elena’s. -----------------------[/b][/center] Notes: I figured Elijah should make his exit now, he had dates elsewhere..he's a busy guy and besides I figured that Damon and Sophia could hash things out  |

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She kept her face void of emotions as Damon asked about what types of games that Niklaus was playing. “Niklaus will do whatever it takes to win, as will most immortals that you find these days. You should know this Damon, as it stands just a few moments ago you were one of them.” She stated firmly. “I do not disagree with this mentality as I myself will do what it takes to keep myself and those I care about safe. However he is making a huge spectacle of himself. If I’m not mistaken he has alerted the mayor and the sheriff to his existence and that isn’t something that I agree with. Humans aren’t supposed to know about us and while I understand that there are times that it is inevitable, this was not one of those times.” She stated sternly.
She didn’t say a word to Damon’s relief about the doppelganger. Not that she didn’t understand it because she did. She could have easily not said a word to Elijah about her knowledge of the Petrova’s protection and when she killed her she could plead innocence, something that everyone could easily believe since it had been months since Elijah made Elena any sort of promises. However she gave Elijah (and Damon, though she refused to acknowledge that part) her word that she would help protect the young human and she never went back on her word.
She didn’t stop to think about it, her hand simply reacted on it’s own accord and she quickly slapped Damon upside the back of his head when he told Elijah that he would do whatever he asked depending on how he felt that day. “Show some respect young one.” She stated, knowing that this would piss Damon off immensely and finding a tiny bit of pleasure in that. “Just remember two things Damon. For one, he just gave you your damn memories back, something he didn’t have to do. Two, he has the ability to end you here and now, and I do too for that matter so please, act your age and not your IQ.” She glared, using anger and hurt as a shield around her though she wasn’t even fully aware that she was doing it.
“As for your brother, in case you’ve not remembered that particular thought, he’s still under Klaus’ compulsion and up until a few days ago was running around sucking on the townspeople so we can’t exactly enroll him in the White Hats club now can we? So unfortunately you’re all we’ve got right now. So please behave.” She continued, though at the end her voice softened a bit.
She nodded at Elijah’s statement before leaning in and giving him a quick peck on the cheek. “Alright love, call me when you need me.” She stated before blinking and noting that Elijah was gone. Unfortunately this left her and Damon, two of the world’s most stubborn individuals from what she had seen, alone without a buffer. Hmm, this should be interesting. Turning to the older Salvatore brother she quirked an eyebrow. “So I’m surprised you haven’t run off to check on the doppelganger yet.” She stated honestly, though no malice was evident in her tone.

------------------------------ [/b][/size] ------------------------------[/b][/size] Damon wasn't sure what was up with Sophia, she seemed pissed off or something. She was talking to him like he was a 4 year old and it was annoying him a lot. Yes, maybe he should have known by now that every vampire wanted to win but still. "I know," he said sounding annoyed. He didn't take kind to being treated like that, maybe Sophia had issues but from what Damon could remember she was fine just a couple minutes ago shy why was she acting weird? "Klaus isn't keeping anyone safe, he cares only about himself. You may be a know it all but I think you should check your facts again." Okay, maybe it wasn't a good idea for Damon to put it that way but she was pissing him off and she couldn't say that Klaus cared for other people besides Caroline. "Well, maybe Caroline. Okay, he cares for one person."
Damon was extremely glad that Sophia would protect Elena, if she was all high and mighty then she would keep her word. She didn't only make it to Elijah but she made it to him as well and if she went back on it Damon would most likely never talk to her again unless they had the same goals, well depending because right now he cared for her more than he thought. He was going crazy over her and he needed to think about his feelings or drink his feelings away because he hated feeling. He kind of wanted to discuss his feelings with her right now but he didn't like doing that at all, open up his heart to someone and they just toy with it until they have no more use of it. It had happened with Katherine and in a way it was happening with Elena but this time it was different since Elena was nothing like Katherine and wasn't manipulative.
Damon felt a smack on his head and this just pissed him off even more. What gives her the right to smack him like that? He did nothing wrong! "That hurt," he said with a smirk while scratching his head. He was trying to hide the anger but wasn't doing so well. "You need to stop treating me like a kid, you might be older and stronger but that doesn't mean anything. I know you're all about honour and royalty but I'm nothing like that...you should know that from your spies unless you really only care about me getting in the way of your plans." Damon was steaming. He knew Sophia cared for him, well so he thought but he just felt like she didn't care at the moment and only wanted to please Elijah. "And I'll show respect when I want to. Elijah already betrayed me, Elena, and Stefan. What am I supposed to do respect my elders," Damon said with a little laugh of disbelief in his throat. God, what the hell did she want from him? Some proper British boy? No, he was Damon and she was going to have to settle for that, if she could, not a lot of people stayed with Damon.
"I'm sorry, I'll do my best your highness," he said more in a teasing way than a sarcastic mean way. He wasn't going to lie, the way Sophia talked actually turned him on quite a lot. Elijah and Sophia were right about Stefan though, he was still under the influence of Klaus...but wait a minute he couldn't be. He wasn't anymore. If Stefan was still under Klaus' compulsion then why would he attempt to make Damon remember his memories? Compelled Stefan could care less. Or maybe Damon was over thinking it, he'd have to confront his brother about this later on because he didn't have all the facts. He wasn't sure if he was ready to face anyone yet but he knew he'd have to at some point in time, and it was better to get it over with anyway.
Damon watched Elijah kiss Sophia on the hand and then she kissed him on the cheek this made Damon a little bit jealous and he looked away. If the two were trying to make him jealous then they were doing a successful job. "Me too. I decided I'm going to wait a little bit before I see her, I can't face her right now." Damon didn't know what he was going to say and he might even wait for Elena to come to him because he really didn't want to face her even if he was really apologetic. "So...you and Elijah?" Damon said trying to make it subtle without a hint of jealousy but it was of course obvious to an intelligent woman like Sophia. "You guys must go way back huh. Just curious." Damon knew that they weren't dating considering she kissed Damon and she wouldn't have if her and Elijah had a thing but he just wanted to make sure that they didn't date in the past. In a way Damon wanted Sophia to be his but he wouldn't say it out loud at least not now, not this early.

I’ve known him for hundreds of years and I’ve always known what he was. I knew Katerina as a human and didn’t agree with him using her in order to break his little curse…though I had no idea exactly what kind of curse it was until after Katerina had already fled.” She stated, her eyes boring into the younger vampire. “If I would have known I might have helped Katerina myself…then again I would then be on the run as she is so I might have simply tried to talk Niklaus out of it…but I digress.”
Hearing that Niklaus cared for another actually struck her as odd. She couldn’t remember anyone but himself that he had ever cared about and this concerned her a bit. “I know of Caroline but according to my information she is with one of Niklaus’ sired hybrids…a Tyler Lockwood I believe. Now my question is if he cared about her and wanted her for himself, why not give direction to his hybrid to leave so he could take her? My guesses? He’s not as entranced with the little vampire as one might think.” She stated. “Then again, from the information I’ve gathered it seems that little Ms. Blonde vampire has been with numerous men so maybe it isn’t so strange. You should know about that shouldn’t you lovely? After all, you were the one who compelled her in the first place unless I’m mistaken.”
She rolled her eyes at the younger vampire, seemingly amused by his little rant. “I’ll stop hitting you and treating you like a child when you prove to me that you are capable of acting like an adult. I don’t worry about you getting in my plans because I trust you at least in that respect. However that doesn’t mean that I don’t know exactly what you are about Damon. You are in love with your brother’s girlfriend and will do whatever it is to protect her, including doing some fairly stupid things and going against things that she agrees with. That’s where you and I differ. I will help protect her on her terms. I will do as little or as much as she asks of me because that is the honorable thing to do. So if she tells me to leave and go help someone, that is what I will do. You however would let someone else die to protect a girl whose not even yours.” She stated, a bit of hurt seeping into her tone though she tried as hard as she could to mask it.
She knew that Elijah had seemingly betrayed them however that didn’t mean she wanted to tolerate disrespect, though she wondered if the situation had been reversed if she could blame him. “I understand that and I am sure he feels badly for it. However wouldn’t you do whatever you could to protect your brother?” She asked curiously. “I know that you and Stefan have always been at ends with one another but how many times have the two of you gone to bat for one another and saved the other? Quite a few if I’m correct. So I reckon that you and Elijah have more in common than one might think.” She told him honestly, no hint of dishonesty in her voice.
She couldn’t blame Damon for not wanting to face his precious doppelganger at the moment as she couldn’t begin to guess what happened the last time they had met. Since she had arrived in Mystic Falls she hadn’t been able to review her security footage as often as she had when she was away from it. She had been much too busy over the past several days to look for new things to worry about so she had simply dealt with those that she knew about and figured she would deal with the rest later. Unfortunately this meant that she truly had no idea what happened during Damon and Elena’s last meeting, something that she wasn’t used to. She was used to knowing most everything that went around those that she kept an eye on…so having something be unknown to her was fairly traumatic in her opinion and she made a mental note to rectify that immediately.
Hearing Damon’s question she couldn’t help but grin, feeling a warm feeling inside that was very unnatural for her. “Are you jealous my lovely?” She simpered, walking over and running her finger down his cheek playfully. “Not to worry though. Elijah and I are just dear old friends. We have a lot in common so he makes a good friend for me to have. He is rather handsome but I believe that he’s said before that he doesn’t go after younger women…and compared to him even I am a younger women.” She told him with a wink. “What about you Damon? Do you prefer older or younger girls?”

------------------------------ [/b][/size] ------------------------------[/b][/size] Damon wondered how Sophia met Katherine, it had always interested him, just the dynamic of friendship they had back then. "You never did tell me how you and Katherine became such BFFS," he said in a playful sarcastic tone. In all honesty he was surprised that Katherine even had friends considering how manipulative she was but it was Sophia so maybe the both of them could bond over that. Sophia was different though, he could tell she was and there was something about her that made him crazy. He wanted to figure it out but he probably wouldn't find out this early, or ever.
In a way Damon didn't like the way Sophia had all the information, she knew everything about him and what he had done. He did compel Caroline and he shouldn't have but that was the past. "Your point? Yes, I compelled her but that happened a long time ago." He knew that it hurt Elena but he didn't stop and now he regretted it. Besides Caroline was a vampire who could take care of herself now anyway. "Now back on Klaus...your sources are wrong. Do you see how he stalks her? I think he'd do anything for her. Which we could use for our advantage" Sophia may have had all the information but Damon had been in this town and witnessed it, Klaus was insane but maybe Damon shouldn't be talking...he'd do anything for Elena, but he was close to doing anything for Sophia which he didn't like at all. He hated the way he fell hard everything always ended badly for him.
"God, are you my mother now?" Damon hated being irritated by others but of course with Sophia it faded a little quickly. Sophia sounded different, he wasn't sure if it was hurt he was hearing or anger while he listened to what she had to say. He grabbed one of her hands and laced his fingers with hers instantly by instinct. He didn't want to hurt her, if he hurt her then he would feel hurt, what was wrong with him? Damon shouldn't be falling this hard and letting his walls down, he wasn't going to. Damon wasn't only hurt because of this, he was also hurt that she said that Elena wasn't his. "You're right I'll protect her if anyone gets in my way. I'll always save Elena even though she will never love me," sounding a little hurt. He looked into Sophia's eyes. "Sophia, I know you don't get why I would love my brother's girlfriend and I don't expect you to. And even though me and you just met." Damon was about to open up to her, well in a sense. He was just afraid of getting hurt. "I'll always protect you. I won't ever let anyone hurt you. Know that." Damon felt weird with opening up but he thought he should say it before he closed up. Maybe that was stupid him.
Sophia was right, Damon and Stefan saved each other numerous times the thing is Elijah knew how bad Klaus was and he just didn't see how he could let Klaus live, Damon was stubborn though so it would take awhile for him to understand. "Maybe. Not like we'll be talking unless it's important though." Damon had another question for Sophia, he just wanted to know more. "Why do you do that? Why do you spy on people in Mystic Falls? Is there a point to it?" If Sophia knew every single thing about him then why would she want to talk to Damon, he was pathetic. Loving someone who wouldn't love him back and losing the people he cared about, he just didn't get why she was sticking around him still. Maybe he was a lost cause, he didn't know.
He knew he'd have to face Elena soon enough but the things he had done to her, he just couldn't at the moment. If he did then he knew he'd get a slap and he already had his share fill today with Sophia. And Elena was probably with Stefan at the moment and right now he didn't want to see his brother either, although he would have to talk to him to. At least Damon didn't do too much damage but even if he did he wouldn't apologize to anyone besides Elena and possibly Alaric if he had done anything to him. He was extremely glad that Sophia was distracting him from all of that stuff though, he didn't need to think about it right now.
Damon looked away from her. He couldn't be that jealous, was it that obvious? "Of course not. I can't be curious?" He looked back at her. That feeling in Damon's stomach went away when she said Elijah and her were just friends, this actually made him really happy. "Well...it depends," he said while closing the gap between them. "But usually...I like them older." It was true considering the girls he fell for besides Elena. "Besides, I like a woman who's wise and intelligent," he said with a smirk. "And who can satisfy me in all...the right places. You might not happen to know who that girl could be could you?" He laid his hands on her hip trying to figure out her next move, hell he was trying to figure out what he'd do next, kiss her or just something entirely different?

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She laughed at the question about Katerina. "Ahh, that's a very interesting story." She told him with another tinkling laugh. "Let's see. Well I actually met Elijah and Niklaus first, and was introduced to Rose and Trevor. Rose and I got along swimmingly but Trevor bothered me. He always seemed to not care about anyone but himself and what he wanted to do...not caring of the consequences of his actions." She stated, seemingly lost in thought. "I left for a bit when I heard that my mother had passed and when I came back there was a party for Niklaus, it was actually the same night that Katerina met Niklaus and Elijah. The two of us struck up a friendship. I heard a few days later about the sacrifice so I worked with Elijah and the witches to try and come up with a way so that the Petrova doppelganger wouldn't be sacrificed. Neither of us were successful in changing Nikalus' mind."
Taking an unnecessary breath she continued. "It ended up being pointless, since as you know Katerina took matters into her own hands and with the aid of Trevor and Rose was able to turn herself. I didn't know her plans until she had already gone through with them so I couldn't warn them... They went on the run and unfortunately for them it was pointless since once Niklaus wants to find someone, they are found, no matter how long it takes. It was many years later that I met up with Katerina again. She had changed immensely from the human that I had known. I enjoyed the new Katerina, though I did miss the more compassionate one that I had known. I met her two traveling partners, Pearl and her daughter Anna. I got along with both but I never truly bonded with them in the same way that I had with Katerina." She continued.
"In 1864 I followed rumors to Mystic Falls about vampires being able to remain undetected so that's where I went, running into Katerina there. I found out about you and your brother through Pearl and shared her distaste for Katerina carrying on with two men. I didn't stay as long as I could have because I didn't want to be there when things went south...since not only was she playing a dangerous game but it was also extremely off putting for a lady to carry on with two men."
"I haven't seen Katerina in quite a few years, only running into her from time to time whenever our paths crossed. So that's Katerina's and I's story." She told him. "Does that answer your question?" She asked.
She chuckled at listening to Damon talk about her sources being wrong. "I've seen the way that he stalks her but I do believe that he would kill her sooner than any of us could blink if it suited his needs. He may care for her, as much as Niklaus can care for anyone other than himself, but that does not mean he will allow her to become a weakness. He's very good at not allowing emotions to become something that can be used against him." She stated, thinking on the fact that not many vampires knew how to do what Niklaus did. Sure many of them flipped the switch on their humanity but they still weren’t emotionless. Emotions like anger and greed, they were still emotions whether one had their humanity or not. No one seemed to think about that until it was too late, though she was always known for thinking of all angles as best she could.
She was surprised when Damon grabbed her hand and linked their fingers together, though it wasn't an unpleasant feeling she ruefully admitted to herself. She saw the hurt in his eyes as he spoke about protecting Elena even though he would never love him. She continued to stare at him when he vowed to protect her as well. She was strangely moved by that statement and placed her other hand on his cheek, stroking it gently. "And I'll do the same for you. Know this Damon, I am loyal to you...not anyone else. Well, I'm loyal to Elijah but he doesn't count at the moment. I will put your needs first as well as my own, no one else's." She told him, hoping he would understand.
She smiled, though this time it was a slightly embarrassed smile. "I have always been one who liked to know things about people. Even as a human I loved to being in the know so to speak so I could say that I knew everything. When I became a vampire that was heightened. As you know a part of being a vampire is a slight sense of paranoia about being exposed or being threatened. I always knew that if I knew everything that I could make sure that no one ever was able to expose me or threaten me because they wouldn't know everything that I knew. Over the years it had become more than that and it has become almost my duty to right the wrongs that I see going on. However it started with a deep rooted paranoia." She told him, another embarrassed smile on her face.
Smirking she moved her hand which had still been stroking his cheek down his chest, landing across his abs. "Oh I think I know a woman who fits the bill." She whispered before pulling him by his shirt and crushing her lips to his. She usually wasn't one to make the first move but for some reason this conversation left her needy and she wanted to feel his lips against hers.

Damon honestly thought Sophia was the type of girl to leave her friends to suffer alone but the fact that she wanted to help Katherine changes a lot about her. Although he hadn't figured her out yet so he couldn't really say anything right now. Damon remembered Rose he looked down not wanting Sophia to know what he was thinking. Rose was one of the first people he truly cared for and he she understood him as well, the fact that she died and he could do nothing but watch which hurt him a lot. "Rose was a good friend but you probably know that with your surveillance patrol wondering around." Damon kind of didn't like how Sophia knew everything, what if he wanted to surprise her or something.
Damon grew a smirk on his lips. "So you even found me hot as a human, why else would you stay in Mystic falls," he said teasingly. He didn't know if this was true, well probably not. Sophia had to deal with Katherine at the time and Sophia probably didn't notice Damon at the time besides Katherine toying with him and his brother. "But yeah, that answers my questions for now." He wanted to know more but maybe with time he'd ask more except about her not about Katherine there was no need to know about Katherine, he was interested in Sophia. He was hoping that hopefully one day that the only person he'd love would be was Sophia if it ever got that far of course, he wasn't entirely sure what these two could be.
Sophia was right if Caroline got in the way too much or just did one major wrong thing then she'd be dead. Damon just wished there was a way of killing him without killing himself and his brother. "That's the thing, he has no weakness besides the damn white oak stake!" Damon was just fed up with it all. He knew that right now they were losing and he just wanted this whole Klaus issue to go away and the only way that happened is if he got drunk enough to not care about anything, but he hadn't gotten that drunk...well till recently but that was when he didn't have his memories. Klaus was probably here to stay until some witch figured out what to do with him without killing him but Bonnie wasn't smart enough apparently or she was just playing dumb.
Damon instantly smiled. The words that came out of her mouth kind of made him feel warm inside. No one had ever said that to him and for once he just felt special...needed. He looked in the eyes removing his barrier that he used to always have up. "I think I'm falling for you," he couldn't catch himself but for some reason he didn't care. He just wanted to kiss her right now and be with her. Damon felt vulnerable and open, was it right to be like this or no? Someone who holds every information and could potentially hurt him? But it was worth a risk, worth getting to know her and being with her, he wanted her.
That was the first time Sophia had an embarrassed smile. "Clever, and cute. I like that in a woman," he said with a grin. There was no words that could describe what Damon was feeling for Sophia right now. Maybe things were going fast but in all honesty he didn't care if things were, he liked her and that was it. Damon wondered if she was feeling the same way as he was, he couldn't really ask her. Damon knew he'd kiss her any minute now, he just needed to feel her lips again. He was about to but Sophia beat him to it which surprised him. He just thought she wasn't the girl to do the first move, it was nice that she did.
Damon smiled during the kiss, he felt really happy. He closed his eyes and felt her lips on his. He kissed her softly and tenderly. He needed her now. Damon saw an image of a girl but it wasn't Sophia. Was this wrong to be kissing her when he was in love Elena? This felt wrong, what the hell was he doing? But he wanted this so badly, he didn't want to end this kiss but guilt spread across his body. The images of hurting Elena and being there for passed his mind. Damon stepped back and looked shocked. "I...need...I need to go," Damon said hurt and ran off. He probably seemed like the worlds biggest jerk right now but he needed to think this through, he couldn't do this to Sophia love someone else while only caring for her at the moment. He didn't want to hurt her and hopefully she knew that.
