The morning rays had barely broken through the windows of Giles’ room, but the watcher had still been up for hours. In fact, he had never gone to sleep, and rather he had stayed up through the night. He had tried, though futilely, to lay in his bed and force himself to rest, but too many thoughts were running through his head, too many moral dilemmas. Ethan Rayne, who now had some kind of forced conscience implanted in him, had called the London offices as per Giles’ instructions, but failed to appear at their designated meeting place. Perhaps it was for the best, since Giles already knew what he had hired Ethan to help him uncover had been violently and abruptly shown to him, and Giles had simply planned to dismiss the warlock entirely. It had been a waste of time and two hundred dollars. More than the irritation of Ethan was the fact that Angelus had been released and several people did not inform him about it, despite the dangers. Of course, their concerns that he would be less impartial towards Angelus were founded in logic, but the wake of destruction left behind by Angel’s alternate ego was devastating. And worse yet was that if Buffy and the others showed any remorse for the fallen potentials, Giles had not seen it. In fact, though his temperament had incurred such a reaction, it seemed to the watcher that Angel felt no responsibility towards the five dead girls, and was disgruntled at best when Giles asserted that the vampire should carry the consequences of Angelus’ murders. After all, to Giles, it was much more sensible for Angel to deal with the fallout that his soulless persona created rather than to resurrect a woman who had been dead for over half a decade to do the job for him. And of course, there was Buffy, whom Giles had intended to talk to about things, but with Jenny’s arrival and Xander arriving from Rome, the Englishman couldn’t prepare such a time to discuss things. The truth was that he had to resume his duties in Rome and his departure would hopefully push Buffy into acting more like an adult again, as it had in the past. He had to admit that he was concerned about her actions and how her emotions were seemingly clouding her judgment. With the power of the watcher’s council behind her, Angelus could have been safely contained, perhaps not before the potentials were murdered, but certainly before the others that Giles was sure Angelus feasted upon had been killed. And yet Buffy had not chosen the safety of the innocent people she was sworn to protect. But after many nights of deep thought, the watcher believed it would be best if he left Richmond and force his Slayer’s hand with his absence. The only question remaining was whether Jenny would come with him. In such an environment, it would be easier to discuss where their relationship was heading, if it could survive her sudden resurrection, the fact that he had aged in the meantime, the possibility of being engaged to one another… or any other such thing. But he wasn’t thinking too deeply about those matters, as Giles had become absorbed in taking down the more important tomes from the shelves and packing them into the bottom of a suitcase he had wrestled from the back of his closet. He had already packed most of his clothes, and the already sparsely decorated room was even more bare. +++ TAGS: Jenny WORD COUNT: 588 NOTES: Shorter and intro-like :3

Last night's slumber had been very welcoming to the witch. It was so strange to think of herself as a witch these days. The Powers had seemed to think that she would be much more powerful with a bit of Magick behind her, though she wasn't sure if she enjoyed the power yet or not. After all she'd only been back a few days and she was still attempting to adjust to this world. Jana was grateful for the powers showing her everything she'd missed. It was almost as if they'd shown her a movie. Everyone had mourned her death immensely, Giles and Willow taking it the hardest. Her lover had in fact seemed to move on after quite some time. Yes, she'd seen him with a dark complexioned woman named Olivia. It didn't upset her as she was happy more than anything that he'd moved on. A part of her would have lying to say that she wasn't happy he was no longer with the woman though. Her Rupert was all hers again, and that fact liberated her in a way she hadn't felt since they'd gotten together.
The struggles the group had gone through her blown her mind at first. Buffy for instance had died yet again since she'd been gone. This time she'd been brought back against the forces of nature, and it'd caused such a rift in all of their lives and had caused them detrimental effects. Angel on the other hand...she'd seen him at his darkness, and she'd seen him redeem himself and continue to try and fix things. She knew he had a son with Darla and while it wasn't the boy's fault, she felt strongly that he shouldn't have been born. Again it went completely against nature. However she'd also seen that Angel had been turned human for a day. Him and Buffy had enjoyed the bliss but due to him no longer being a champion, he'd done the right thing, which had killed him to do so, and had returned things to normal. For this, she felt a surge of pride for him. So many things had happened that it gave her a bit of a headache to think about, and so she tried her best not to.
Blinding rays of warmth woke her from her slumber that morning. Sheepishly her eyes tried to open, fluttering open and closed for a moment until she was adjusted to the new found light. One of her arms stretched out beside her but did not find Rupert, to which her eyes widened. Pulling herself up into a sitting position, wide eyes searched the room until she located the man. He was....packing? Jennifer cleared her throat to announce that she was now awake, and gave him a sheepish smile as he turned to look at her. "Good morning Rupey" she spoke softly, her voice as light as an angel. Calling him by the old nickname she'd given him warmed her heart, and her eyes lit up as well. Looking down to his suitcase she then looked back to him, arching one of her brows questioningly. "Where are you going?" Jana spoke softly, afraid that he was leaving her. He was her rock...her everything, and the only reason she was able to back and keep her sanity in touch. If he left...she would fall. She continued to sit on the bed, her legs underneath his warm blanket as she watched him in awe, afraid that he might leave her once and for all.

Rupert heard the shuffling of Jenny’s limbs against the smooth cotton sheets that he had taken care to not disturb to much when he had snuck out of bed trying not to wake her. He paused in his packing, but just for a fraction of a moment, as the watcher forced his joints to relax and continue selecting the various books he would have to bring with him to Rome. He did have a lot of research to continue with, cataloguing the new species that had currently appeared, particularly in the Mystic Falls area. But, certainly he had his priorities, and ensuring that the council ran correctly was his top one. Leaving the Rome headquarters in Andrew’s hands for too long would most likely prove to be a disastrous mistake. Only a few seconds later, Giles turned to the sound of Jenny clearing her throat, not so surprised that she was awake. Hopefully nothing he had done had pulled her from her rest, which she still needed. But she didn’t seem in poor spirits at all. Giles gave a small smile to her greeting and her old pet name for him, a cutesy moniker he once tutted at in a rather British manner, but now, he took it as a sign of pure affection from Jenny. It made this harder, made his heart feel weighty and constrained, a feeling that only increased as she questioned why he was packing. The watcher made to speak, but stopped himself, letting only a soft sigh escape him. His gaze fell to the floor and he set the text in his hand back onto the bookshelf it had previously sat on. Skirting around an open suitcase filled with odds and ends, he returned to the bed and perched on the end of it. After choosing his words carefully and deliberately, Giles lifted his head to speak with Jenny honestly. He owed her that much, at least, ”I have to return to Rome. With Xander having come to Virginia, I can’t ignore my responsibilities any longer.” After all, overseeing the watcher’s academy, keeping the records of the new watchers and potentials, organizing the various collected intelligence that his various associates gathered for him, the financial side to the Slayer Organization and the Council—those were all important things he had been ignoring for the past few months. He hadn’t gotten the current Council to such a high standing by being uncommitted. And of course, leaving would allow him to stop fixating on Buffy and Angel and how to solve their problems. They were adults. They had to solve their problems themselves. But, placing the same rule on himself, Giles knew that he had to make headway on his own issues. Certainly he couldn’t just leave the statement on its own like that, or Jenny would assume he was abandoning her. That was the furthest thing he wanted to do, but a part of him was struck with fear that he would have to chose his duties over the woman he loved. He had to strive to achieve both. He cleared his throat before continuing, ”I was hoping you would consider coming with me. I understand it would interfere with the mission the Powers gave you, but... surely you aren’t expected to… t-to make your life simply about watching over Angel.” Such a thing would be a shame. Giles gave a soft chuckle, attempting to gently lift some of the somberness out of his tone and not subject Jenny to too much harsh conversation, ”After all, it would be nice to have time for the two of us without so many teenage girls all around us.”+++ TAGS: Jenny WORD COUNT: 612 NOTES: No worries, love. As her love's eyes cast down to the floor she found herself fretting more than she would have liked being that she'd only just opened her eyes. Something was bothering him and it appeared he was fleeing from it. She only hoped he would not leave her, as she wouldn't be able to go on without him. Although the Powers That Be had sent her down for a specific reason, to guide the group and more importantly Angel, in her own opinion Rupert was the largest reason she was here. It was probably a selfish notion but at this point in time she didn't much care. After all they'd forced her to return to this Plane and she was going to take it for all that it was worth. And Rupert was worth everything to her.
While his eyes looked down to the bamboo flooring hers remained on him, eyes following his hand to replace a book he'd just taken and landing back on his own brown eyes. Every moment he made she followed carefully, despite her eyes still adjusting to the new found rays of the coming day. Heavy eyelids bored into his as he began to speak and the fear she'd been feeling became a realization. Rupert was leaving...not just the home, but the country as well. He was truly leaving her and she felt a lump grow within her throat. "I see..." she said simply, trying her hardest not to allow her voice to get caught in her throat. For the first time since she'd opened her eyes, she felt them cast downwards. The fabric of the blanket caught her eyes and she couldn't seem to move them. Both of her hands began to sort of pet the deep red blanket, feeling the smoothness of the micro fiber running through her hands. Anything to keep her mind off of the fact that Rupert was leaving her.
Apparently though it wasn't as bad as she'd originally thought. Or was it? He was asking her to come with him which absolutely joyed her. Though at the same time it seemed that this conflicted her as well. How was she supposed to just up and leave her own duties behind? "Rupert...Rome, with you...sounds great. But I don't think the Powers would take kindly to me not holding up my end of the deal.." she said honestly, letting out a small sigh after pausing. Still her eyes looked downward. He had asked her to come with him and she knew that no matter how much she wanted to, that she couldn't, and that killed her. So desperately she wished she could just be whisked away with him to Rome. Drink wine and eat like royalty, whilst also providing a great deal of help to the side of good. It sounded like a fairy tale...
And yet felt like a nightmare. Raising her eyes she pushed the blanket off of her lap and pushed it aside. Standing up and off the bed, she moved around to the side where Rupert was sitting and sat next to him. One of her hands raised to meet his face and she held it there tenderly. "I'd love to go with you, but I can't. I was sent to be here, with them. If you need to go...I won't blame you for that" Jana murmured softly, her hand then falling back to her own lap. Eye lashes fluttered as she continued to look up to him, awaiting an answer. They'd only been together for a few days now and she already felt it coming to an end. Had it been the Powers idea to torture her as such?

Hearing the disappointment—well, no, it was more like a quiet despair that had settled into Jenny’s voice… But her simple iteration to his plans was like a knife stabbing him in the gut. He was quite familiar with this feeling. The sensation of guilt. It seemed to pop up much too readily these days. But with Jenny, it just felt intensified. A mixture of her being back from the dead and the deep love he felt for her made this so much more complicated and painful. And she had just woken up. Perhaps he could pause the conversation somehow and offer her tea or coffee, wait until she was properly dressed or anything to relieve these horrible pangs of emotion. And her reaction to his invitation was… well, not really as he had hoped. He wanted to protest and find some solution to her being released from her directive to watch Angel, but the watcher had little idea of how the Powers truly worked or what they really wanted. There truly was no solution that he could provide. Thus, he remained silent as she joined him on the edge of the bed. The touch of her hand on his cheek was simply a bittersweet note to top this entire affair. It’s warmth was a reminder that this was real. Not a dream, nor a trick, but truly Jenny Calendar with him. Her words felt less like a rejection and more like a cruel type of permission. Either way, it was disheartening to hear. But he knew that Jenny was attempting to soften the blow, and he wanted to reciprocate that. â€Yes.†Giles finally replied, nearly under his breath. He understood that she had a bargain to keep. But he abhorred it nonetheless. The watcher took the hand from his cheekbone and held Jenny’s hand in his own, wanting to have that touch between them, but in a less melancholy way. Holding hands seemed supportive, innocent, even. Having her palm cradle his face made Giles want to cry a bit. Another heavy sigh passed his lips, â€I don’t assume to know what exactly the Powers’ purpose and strategies are, but… I don’t see how sending Angel a guardian will prevent anything—especially one who must relearn the world around her. And though I understand that Angel is important to the Powers, I can’t see how you fit in. Are you… going to make sure he’s unhappy or simply going to watch him closely?†Perhaps even the guilt of having Jenny around would prevent Angel from reaching perfect happiness. But who could say? â€What I don’t understand is the why of it. Angel should be perfectly capable to prevent himself losing his soul without someone else.. and he should be responsible enough to avoid anything that could make him soulless.â€â€And we…†His voice simply closed off. He didn’t know if he was about to make things easier or much, much harder, â€If you have truly seen everything that has happened, you know I’ve changed. Perhaps… such a thing could be for the best. They knew. Th-the Powers or whatnot. That… this—†The watcher’s words were faltering now. He tried to regain a little composure by taking off his glasses and rubbing some of the sleep and frustration out of his eyes, but mostly, he still felt as battered and tired as he had been feeling for a while. â€We both have demands on us. I suppose that if it is demanded of us, we must make certain sacrifices.â€+++ TAGS: Jenny WORD COUNT: 588 NOTES: Oh, God. This thread is going to be sad, isn't it? Enjoying the feeling of embracing her hand with his, they both allowed their hands to fall upon Rupert's knee. It sat there while she waited to hear the words she desperately wished he wouldn't say, but knew he would. She knew that he was going to leave whether or not she came with him. It was disheartening to say the least but it wasn't something she felt was avoidable. Deep down she knew they couldn't have been together forever. There were simply too many variables in their lives. Hearing the simple word of 'yes' seemed like a resignation from the man. It seemed that he wasn't going to fight for her to come, despite her knowing that he would have loved her to. Nonetheless she couldn't blame him. Both of them had business to attend to whether they liked it or not.
For a moment she looked past him and to the bedroom door. Not because she was thinking of leaving or anything of that sort, but mainly because she was thinking. And honestly she couldn't come up with that great of an answer in her head, so she just went with the flow and spoke without a plan behind her words. "I wish I could tell you everything, but I'm not sure about a lot of it myself..." she said, her voice drifting off as she forced her eyes to return to his. It seemed such a difficult feat to simply look at him, when in her previous life it'd always been so easy. Much had changed since she'd been gone...and a lot was now more difficult than it'd ever been. "Please, don't be upset" she said, giving his hand a gentle squeeze.
"I do know that you've changed. You've grown stronger. And if we have to be away from each other, you'll be alright...we both will be. It's not ideal, but it would be alright." And though she hated to say this to him, it was indeed true. They'd been without each other for years and well, they could do it again if they too.
The Watcher searched her eyes for answers and she turned her head. Jana, you can't go there... She wanted badly to be completely open with him, but wasn't sure if she could be. The consequences for revealing the reason for her being here could be worse than she could imagine, and they couldn't take any more tragedies. It wasn't lying to him if he didn't suspect she was holding something back...Yes, it is lying, you're lying to him...to Rupert, of all people... She shook off these thoughts and pulled her hand away from his. With an apologetic look ahead of time, she stood up and off the bed. Her hands went to her hips as she walked away from him, pacing for a moment. He watched her anxiously but it took her a moment before she turned back around. She knew how he felt about Angel, and knew that this wasn't going to go over well. However Rupert was the only person Jana felt she could truly trust. Because of this...she decided to finally tell him the truth. The reason she was brought back to this earth.
"I'm going to tell you something, and despite how you feel about it, I need you to keep it to yourself." Taking a deep breath, she met his eyes. "I was brought back to make Angel's soul permanent. After I've been successful...he will never lose it again, no matter what happens to him, only at death."

”No, I…” He began to stutter out, but to say he was not upset would be lying. Not with the woman beside him, of course. The watcher merely was frustrated with the situation. He supposed he should be grateful to have Jenny by his side even for a moment, to have her hold his hand again and talk about how the world has changed. But of course, the circumstances were wrong to Giles. Death was not something to be trifled with, even by mysterious all powerful beings that controlled destiny and everything. If it were, didn’t that mean that they were all just pawns in a larger game? It was true that the Watchers and the Slayers were soldiers of sorts, particularly now that they had grown in such numbers, but they were their own autonomous organization. They certainly weren’t the playthings of the Powers. And Jenny wasn’t meant to be their chess piece either. A light sigh passed his lips. Stronger? Maybe Jenny was good enough and kind enough to see it that way, but Giles couldn’t deny himself the truth. He was ruthless. He was deceptive and would commit any deed and do what he needed to do to ensure the safety of those he had sworn to protect. He had gone against the wishes of those he’d loved, killed the innocent. So what was this in a sea of regrets? Compared to the pain he had brought to Buffy, the cruelty he had shown Ben, what he could bring on himself was nothing. The real crux of the matter was Jenny. How much did this hurt her? The sadness rolled off of her like smoke, an understanding type, mature and reserved, but deep and more real than any of their troubles of the past. The revelation that she was a Romani sent to watch Angel seemed so small in comparison to how they had just been reunited and yet could not stay together. Which Jenny also recognized. Not ideal. That sounded like something he would say. But he knew it to be true. And yet, he felt his love hesitate, as if she was thinking something over. Rupert’s heart jumped to his throat in anticipation, wondering if she had thought of some kind of trade or loophole where she could be with him for just a week or perhaps longer. Something. Anything. As she stood, he remained patient and silent, watching her pace the floor and feeling anxiety well up in him. Perhaps this wasn’t good tidings, since Jenny appeared to be getting increasingly more and more agitated. And finally, she spoke, and her warnings only made his stomach feel like lead. And her confession did more than just stun him. He was… strangely revolted by it. How could they? How could the powers use the woman he loved as a tool for their so called ‘Champion’? Angel’s happiness be dashed—truly Giles didn’t care one way or the other—but to put Jenny through so much agony simply for Angel’s soul? The watcher couldn’t comprehend such a thing. Regardless, Giles kept a cool demeanor and merely folded his hands and placed them in his lap, ”I understand. It will not leave this room,” But that was the least the watcher had to say on this matter. He barely contained his bitterness as he spoke, ”I suppose that in the end, the Powers would think that their warrior is the top priority. I suppose that letting Angelus run loose is not acceptable now, God knows why.” Of course, that reason had to be a part of the Power’s plans. It wasn’t for the lowly beings of the Earth. It wasn’t because those young Slayers were dead. The lofty beings up only cared for themselves and their agenda, ”And once it’s done… you’ll…” The unsaid concerns were more potent than anything he could say. The second she'd told him the truth as to why she was here it felt like a weight had been lifted off of her shoulders. It'd previously felt as if something was sitting on her chest, forcing her to breath heavy and uneven. The second she'd told him she sucked in a deep breath and immediately felt a thousand times better. It was amazing how good simply telling the truth made one feel. Finally she didn't have to be the only one to bear this burden. Well actually she still was as it wasn't as if Giles was going to help, and she hadn't wanted him to in the first place. More so she at least had someone she could talk about it with, though again...knew he wouldn't want to talk about it either. At least she'd been able to force herself into telling him in the first place, that was enough, right?
Although he was attempting not to show how this all made him feel, she knew him better than he apparently thought. Right about now he was entering his passive-aggressive mode and being utterly...polite. Most people would have probably been put off by it but she knew him far too well. She knew it angered him to know why she was here. To know that she'd been brought back for a purpose other than to just help the side of good. Other than to just be given a chance that had been ripped away from her. Her entire life had been ripped away from her, pulled right out of her hands...And now that she had another chance, her sole purpose was to help one of the people she wasn't sure if Giles felt were actually worth helping. Strangely enough...she was at peace with this revelation. It'd taken her aback at first but she'd grown used to the idea by now. In just a couple days at that....
Jenny took in a deep breath and blew it back out slowly, attempting to get her breathing back into rhythm. The hardest part was now over and all that was left was the fall out of everything. For a moment her eyes clicked to the ground, but soon found their way back up to this after having paused for a moment of thought. "Rupert, you need to understand...it's not just one of their top warriors that is their priority..." she said, her voice drifting off, hoping that he would come to realize she was now talking about the blonde slayer.
As it seemed he'd caught up with what she'd said, she nodded her head. "It's for Buffy, too...So that they can be together. And while it seems...feeble, to us, it's all part of a larger plan. I can't delve into much of that, as even I don't hold all of the answers. What I can tell you, is that Buffy will be around a lot longer than we anticipated...and the Powers wish for Angel to remain at her side." And this was all she would really say about the subject, considering the fact that she didn't know too much else about it. Plus even if she had she couldn't have told him if she'd wanted to, she'd already let him in on too much.
Finally, a question that she didn't know the answer to whatsoever. What would happen to her after she fulfilled the destiny set before her by the Powers? For a moment her brows furrowed as she looked at him, before her eyes seemed to glaze over in simple confusion. Either confusion or sadness...one couldn't be too sure. "I'll..." she started, but ended up simply shrugging to signify that she hadn't a clue. And it was the truth too, if she knew she would have definitely told him that part. And god, how she wished she knew....Uncertainty was one of the worst feelings in the world.

Still slightly fuming, Giles merely stared at a non-descript part of the closet door, trying to make sense of why exactly Jenny was defending this plan. Logically, of course, he couldn’t quite say that Angel was her killer, and yet every time he looked at the vampire, Giles would be forever reminded of the pain—the blood and tears split for hour after hour. Buffy was all too right to hide the fact that Angelus had escaped again. Frankly, the watcher didn’t see how either vampire Buffy was close to could have a healthy relationship of any kind with her, considering the history and circumstances. Of course, making Angel’s soul permanent would clear up many of those circumstances, and yet, Giles was still perplexed and disturbed that Buffy hid that five potentials had died simply to ensure Angel’s return. Love, even as deep as Giles understood Angel’s and Buffy’s to be, was not worth other people’s lives. To think otherwise was more than selfish. He realized that he had been drifting in thought and just caught the tail end of what Jenny was saying. It took a moment for him to piece together what she meant, but soon he came to a conclusion, ”Buffy?”And it seemed as if he was correct, as the black-haired witch nodded and explained further. Giles listened closer, his brow continuing to crease with confusion and concern. ”Feeble? Buffy’s relationship with Angel… It’s not my place to say what that should be, but it is my place to ensure that Buffy puts certain things above that. I’ve seen her weep over killing a person who threatened her sister, but for Angel, she would gladly conceal the murder of innocent people? A Slayer needs a stronger center of morality than that, and a stronger bond to those she leads.” The watcher gave a terse sigh, and removed his glasses to clean them for a moment, a sure sign of how uncomfortable he was, ”However, I cannot force Buffy to make those decisions. I can only adhere to my own ethics and make my decisions as they dictate.” And the lynch pin in this was Jenny’s quietness on where the next turn in her life would take her. Her gentle shrug was enough to make him break his gaze. His eyes simply slid shut as he thought for a moment, the silence quieter than a field blanketed with snow. His mind was like that too—just an expanse of white with no marks, nothing to catch onto. At last, the watcher rose to his feet and he came to the bookshelf again, picking up the texts and placing them into the suitcase he had planned to put them in all along. He didn’t bother to look back at her as a tenuous thread of dialogue began to slip from him, ”Jenny. I lost you once. And I did some very reckless things because of it. Given the choice…” There was a brief pause as Giles considered the best words to choose, ”I should think it would be best for me to leave not knowing where this might have led, rather than to attempt to build a relationship and lose you again. And should you not be… pulled back, I think we would have earned the right to place something else above what the Powers desire.”Giles moved to the desk and began to sort through various papers, the tedium and normalcy numbing the gravity of the situation that was consuming him, ”In the meantime, we will do what we must.”+++ TAGS: Jenny <3 WORD COUNT: 593 NOTES: OMG. Jana’s eyebrows lifted in curiosity, questioning the handsome Brit. ”You question her morality?” she asked, though it was more rhetorical than anything else. After having been brought up to speed by the Powers she knew what he spoke of, in both cases. About Buffy weeping over the death of someone whom had harmed Dawn, and about the girls that Angelus had murdered. Jenny had seen Angelus kill the girls…he’d slaughtered them all like animals. The Powers hadn’t just told her about everything but instead they’d shown her. It had in fact been a much more powerful way of bringing her up to speed. Though she would admit to the fact that she wished she had been spared some of the memories. Watching all of their struggles after she’d left this Earth had been hard, knowing that she’d missed all of it. Life above wasn’t like most people thought….One wasn’t able to see their loved ones from above, but rather, one simply…was.
The woman’s head shook after coming back out of her thoughts. ”Rupert, I’m sure you’ve noticed that Buffy has…changed since leaving Heaven. In some ways for the good, and others, not so much. I’ve seen what she’s been through..what you’ve all been through. While I admit that her mind becomes conflicted over Angel, and she might not have chosen the high road in that particular situation, I don’t question her morality. Quite frankly, I don’t think that you should either” she told him seriously, pursing her lips after she’d finished speaking as if it was the end of that conversation. As if, she’d won that battle.
”And you’re right, you can’t force her to make the right decisions. Sometimes you just have to sit back and watch her fall…Eventually, she will get back up, as she always does, and she’ll be stronger for that. Someday, she’ll thank you” [/b] Jana said softly, her eyes drawing to her knees as her thumbs twiddled below her. The second the Watcher stood up off the bed her eyes began to follow his every movement. Wherever he went, she watched carefully. He was so meticulous in the way that he did everything…it brought a small smile to her lips. However at his declaration, she couldn’t help but allow her eyes to drop to the wooden floor below them.
