----------------------- ----------------------- Once Jo got her footing, she was able to get enough distance between her and Sam. She stumbled and fell to the ground. The hit she delivered to Sam made her a bit disoriented as well. But she just felt like she had no other option. She had dealt with a possessed Sam before, but she had no idea what to do. She was able to reach out and grab one of the guys guns and then got to her feet still feeling a little light headed. One thing about those Winchester boys, they were tough headed in every sense of the word. She’d definitely need an aspirin later.
She looked at Dean when he started speaking latin trying to get whatever was outta Sam. Then another thought occurred to her as she watched Dean. Neither of them were necessarily doing anything to try and stop Sam from bolting.Sure there was the whole gun thing she had going here, but all it would do was harm the vessel that was borrowing Sam.She knew that they had to send whatever it may be back to the dank hole that it crawled out of. She joined Dean in on the chant. “Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritus, omnis satanica potestas, omnis incursio infernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica” “Ergo, draco maledicte.Ecclesiam tuam securi tibi facias libertate servire,te rogamus, audi nos."
She then swore under her breath then said “Dammit! Whatever the hell you are I just got back here with the two people I have left who I just happen to love and if you don’t get out of Sam right now I swear that I will drag you down to hell myself!” She ran over to Dean’s car and grabbed a crucifix out of the trunk. She then went over to Sam and grabbed his hand with the crucifix in the same hand. “So babe, looks like we’re going down together” Yes it was drastic but she was running out of options and she would do anything for her family. -----------------------

The sound of pain that wretched forth from Sam's mouth was nigh heart rending. The sound of the Latin from two throats, two voices, rose into the night, and for all purposes, appeared to be working. Sam's body shuddered, wracking against unseen hands, beating against the energies Dean and Jo were fighting him with. There was a weight to their words, and every articulation of Latin sent another knife into his gut. He doubled over, body shaking with pain, tears, cries..
And laughter. Unbending his body, he looked at the hunters with disheveled hair, clinging to his skin as his vessel shed sweat, signs of the struggle of the flesh. “I am disappointed. Did you believe that I came from Hell? That I followed our dear Jo from Perdition? Oh no... She was in Heaven, as was I. And now I am free!” No more games to be played, “Sam” pulled himself back up to his full height, and only appeared to grow taller. It was an illusion brought on by the clearing and the powers drawing from him, but he was foreboding sight indeed.
“I am the one who called Jacob to his heights of destiny. It was I that held back the hand of Abraham on the mountain. I am Lord of the Firth Heaven. I am the seducer and I am the destroyer.” As Sam's tone rose into the air, the night became more oppressive. A wind rose into the sky, calling with it the chill of the winter, and the sound of many birds alighting into the sky. He could force them to kneel, if so he chose, he could bring them to their knees with his glory, and show them the waking of their evil ways.
In a moment of clarity, perhaps breaking through the cracks in the veneer laid down by hubris of the being riding Samuel. Jo rushed forward, and pressed the crucifix against Sam, and all the taller Winchester could do was blink at it. Nothing. Blissful nothing happened, and he grinned, wrapping a hand around the cross, and pulling it from Jo's grasp, taking the time to hold onto Jo's hand, keeping her close. He regarded the cross the same way someone might regard an interesting object at a tag sale. “Ah, yes. Praise the Heavenly Father...” He kept her close, again, calling on the heat of two bodies next to each other, uncomfortable in their intimacy if they were not lovers. Sam blinked, and leaned close to Jo's ear.
From around the corner of her hair, though Jo could not see it, Dean would be able to see the fire clear from his eyes, and for a brief moment, the real Sam broke through. He uttered one word before the fire returned, breaking against his irises. “Samael.” It was a hint. It was the only hint that Sammy could give them, borrowing strength from their mutual prayers.
Tag: Dean, Jo Count: 516 Notes: I found out about this really cool archangel in my religious studies a few years back. He is an angel, but many think of him as evil. Samael didn't rise against God in the war, so he could not be banished to Hell, but he is still not a good guy... Heaven is more a prison for him than Hell could ever be. If you guys don't like this, because it is something that just kinda came to me, let me know and I can edit.
This is also my second attempt at this post since my computer lost the first one. I hope it doesn't show. ^_^;;; Credit: Jax

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -It wasn’t long after Dean that Jo chimed in trying to help Sam, they weren’t going to give up on him just yet. They couldn’t they were like family to each other, they were all each had really. Dean was starting to get sacred by the way he was talking, he had no idea what had a hold of his brother but whatever it was he wasn’t going to let it win. He couldn’t stand the though of losing Sam again he just couldn’t, he just got him back and life was all starting to make sense again. He loved having Jo back but it didn’t mean that he wanted to lose Sam in the process of it all, but it seemed like something had came back with Jo.
But Dean was right as the demon spoke with in Sam, proving that he really wasn’t his brother anymore. He told them that he had came with Jo from perdition, which had him a little confused oh how being in heaven could bring something back like this. He turned to the young hunter with a shocked look on his face. “Jo can I please ask where you were? I thought it was heaven you went to, what the hell came back with you anyway?” He said sounding confused and trying to be funny at the same time. “I don’t know how we are going to stop this but we have to get it out of Sam, some how some way. I’m not stopping in till I do!”
The demon with in Sam started to talk all high and mighty to Dean, but he wasn’t listing at all it was nothing but shit to him. “Yeah yeah look buddy I have heard it all before, you think that you are all big and powerful when really you are nothing but a douche bag that needs to go back to where you came!” Dean said yelling at the demon. “Anyway you better get out of my brother, other wise you will be sorry! No one messes with my brother, no one! “ He was pissed and tired of demons always messing with Sam, why couldn’t they just let him be.
So far the cross that Jo used wasn’t doing anything, he knew that he needed to try something else more powerful. So Dean ran to his car taking out there dads journal, he knew that one of his dad Latin reading would work. After he found one that Sam always use he ran back over to them, and begin to read it with out thought.
“Cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque aeternae Perditionis venenum propinare. Vade, Satana, inventor et magister omnis fallaciae, hostis humanae salutis.Humiliare sub potenti manu dei, contremisce et effuge, invocato anobis sancto et terribili nomine, quem inferi tremunt.Ab insidiis diaboli, libera nos, Domine.Exorcizamus te, omnis immundus spiritusomnis satanica potestas, omnis incursioinfernalis adversarii, omnis legio, omnis congregatio et secta diabolica. Ergo draco maledicte et omnis legio diabolica adjuramus te. Cessa decipere humanas creaturas, eisque aeternae Perditionis venenum propinare. Ut Ecclesiam tuam secura tibi facias libertate servire te rogamus, audi nos.”
This was a big one it just had to work, it just had to reach him, he had to get his baby brother back. Other wise Dean would be forever lost without him.

----------------------- ----------------------- Jo felt uncomfortable at the closeness that her and Sam seemed to be sharing. If this were a drunken night of stupidity then why the hell not? But this was not the case. They needed to beat this and soon. She would and could not let Sam be destroyed by whatever this was. She could not let this ting beat them. She would do whatever it took to make sure that nothing took Sam away from Dean, she knew that Dean needed him.
Then Dean asked her where she came from and she said to him in a rather irritated tone of voice, "I came from Heaven it must have came through a rift in the portal but thats not really important we can discuss this later come on Sam I know your in there!" She said as she grabbed him and pulled their faces closer she looked into those eyes and it frightened her. Even more than the time he was possessed before. Probably becuase she had seen everything that Sam had done from above. If he were stuck in this state then she would have to kill him. He would be too great of a threat, then again she would also have to go through Dean and she knew she couldn't best him even on his worst day. "Look at me, I know my Sam is in there and I will not rest until your back..there''s a certain someone we both know that won't give up either come on Sam..I've never told you this but you're my family and I will not let you go!" She said through gritted teeth. This had to be over soon it just had to be. Her body was not a hundred percent up to snuff and she was starting to weaken. She could feel it in her bones. Her breaths started to weaken slightly, and she could feel herself fading and fast. She would try her best to keep it up while she could. She couldn't leave Dean alone to fight this. -----------------------

The depth of the water that Sam plummeted into her dark and deep, but not in the lovely way that Robert Frost wrote about the forest. Rather, it was more in the way that mankind has always instinctually been afraid of the dark waters, the places beneath the surface that they could not see. He got the feeling that he was suspended in from vast ocean, just out of the reach of the grace of light, stunted in its travel by the thickness of the water above him. He got the feeling that if he wanted to, he could swim, he could kick, and he could move. His instincts screamed against it, somehow knowing that if he moved, there was something out there that was going to get him. What told Sam that none of this was real was the fact that he seemed to have no trouble breathing, even when he pointed out to his brain that he should not be able to. Usually, that was when the panic set in, and he would have to struggle to the surface, but he found himself being very calm. Someone, or something, didn't want him freaking out, or struggling, or fighting. That, should have been alarming, but again, Sam found himself just floating. Apathy was too strong of a world. Finding struggling unnecessary... that was closer to the truth. He heard his name. That was different, and he turned to face it, thinking that he heard something familiar from across the distance of what he was starting to figure out was his own inner space. He had been crammed so far down in here while something else lived above the surface that he was almost blind. But he could hear, and he knew what he heard. Dean. Jo. Calling out to him. Sam heard his own face answering them, but knew they were not his words. How could they be? He was eight fathoms deep! Then, the light got brighter. Above, below, and all around, Sam's world was 360 degrees of light on all axis's. He looked up, knowing that the brightest of the light was coming from there, and saw two things. Two arms, piercing the surface, and reaching down to him, one arm male, one arm female (or at least one smaller and one larger.) Mustering up what Sam knew to be his last bit of energy, he kicked off in mid-void, and swam up, grabbing the hands, and letting them do what they would. -------- The thing in Sammy snarled with his face, clearly no longer amused with the little play as it was stretching out before him. Maybe he had planned on more horror from his victims. Maybe he had expected to be done with them by now. Whatever it was, it was not going according to any semblance of a plan that the creature had. And it resisted. Boy, did it resist. It wanted to stay in this body, and it wanted to stay it in for a long time. So it was hardly a surprise when the wind kicked up, and the sky started to open, in protest against Dean and Jo's efforts to free Sam. It tried ever trick in the book. It tried calling down a wind so loud that no one could hear their own thoughts, much less their own words. It tried throwing the debris of the forests at them. It even attempted to move the rental car in an attempt to crash it into the Impala, as a threat of its show of force. It said horrible things. And finally, it attempted physical harm to its host. Collapsing to the ground, Sam's body started to shake and shiver, his rolled into the back of his head before they punched shut, and he screamed a sound that sound like nothing else except Sammy in pain. Jo's words scream over the wind. Dean's prayer rose high above them. There was almost a distinct crack of power in the air as whatever it had been released its hold on Sam, and left. Immediately, the woods calmed. The wind died down, moving at more livable levels. They could hear each other now, and all of the tension in Sam's body left, and he collapsed like a ragdoll to the ground. He was breathing at least... And in the depth of his mind, he knew that he was safe now, that he had been saved. Slowly, his eye parted, and he took in the world...

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Jo said that she was in heaven so Dean had no idea what had came back with her one thing was for sure it wasn’t anything good at all. “I just wish I knew what was wrong with Sam!” He screamed back to Jo. “I cant lose him we have to help it, I’m not losing my brother not today.” Dean wasn’t going to give up, he was going to keep on with the demon possession spell till it let up on him. Even if Dean gets hurt and beaten to a bloody pulp he still wont give up on him, he would die trying to safe his brother if he had to. He just couldn’t even begin to think about life again with out Sam, he just couldn’t. Jo wasn’t giving up, she was still desperately trying to get through to him. It had to be hard for her with all this, especially since she just came back from the dead.
Dean continued calling out the chants that were in his dad journal knowing that one of them would work, it had to work it just had to. Then it seemed like something was up with Sam, like something was reaching him. “Jo I think its working! I’m going to keep going, hold on Sammy.” He said before going back to the Spell. Jo It seemed to be working, the demon seemed to be fighting something that was deep within him. It had be Sam trying to fight his way through. He knew that his brother could do it, if he could scratch his way out of the devil himself this should be a piece of cake. “Come on Sammy come on, I know you are in there. Fight it man fight it. Don’t give up” Dean said to himself.
Then something had happened almost like whatever it was had left Sam’s body, Dean watched as his brother fell to the ground. “Sammy!” He screamed making his way over to him. He collapsed right next to his brother, Dean looked as though he was in shock worried that he wasn’t ok. “Sammy wake up, come on man come back to us! You cant die on me, other wise who is going to be around to give me shit all the time. Dad is gone so it has to be you, come on please wake up.” Dean said shaking him trying not to cry, fighting back the tears.

----------------------- ----------------------- Just when she felt that there was no hope and that she would have to do something she didn’t want to, and that was stick her knife she had on her into Sam.Into her brother. The thought alone made her sick, but she would do anything, even if it meant freeing Sam from this torment. She also knew that if she did it, Dean would kill her. A tear shed from her eye when she could see the changes in Sam as he appeared to be coming back to them as he did, Jo fell to the ground with Sam, a resounding thud being heard as she collapsed beside him. She felt weak, spent. She crawled over closer to Sam and heard his breaths returning to normal, it made her smile. “He’s ok Dean” She then rested her head on Sam for a moment, feeling exhausted from these past excursions. She then said “Welcome back Sam”
She then rolled onto her back and she looked at Dean then patted the ground beside her, indicating that he should come lay by her.She looked up into the now clear sky which was consumed by fog only moments before, and saw the sun shine all of the beauty coming back to her. She then did something she felt like she hadn’t done in forever. She started laughing, hard. She then said to her two boys, “No place like home” Then laid a hand on each of them and smiled. Damn it felt good to be back. -----------------------

The wind was dying down. Sam was dimly aware of it as he opened his eyes and looked up at the world. At first, he could only see the trees above, the stars and moon somehow managing to shine a sliver down on them. The only illumination came from the car lights, but the moon somehow made everything softer. It meant that when his eyes opened all the way, it was like nature was trying to help his transition back into the waking world. He looked up at Dean... He had worried him... Again. One way or another they always ended up on one side of this equation. Dean doing something to get himself nearly killed, or Sam getting himself hurt enough to make his brother worry. Except this time, when he looked up, he saw the surreal sight of Jo being included among the worried faces. It was bizarre, seeing her there, looking down at him, something that he was certain she had been doing from her vantage point in Heaven, but that was the thing... she should be in Heaven. Why on Earth had she been dragged back down here? Whatever it was that came with her was gone now... Gone, and Sam felt ten tons lighter. When Jo flopped beside him on the ground, Sam didn't even bother getting up. He just let her stay by him, close now to his brother and his... sister. Yeah, he was gonna go ahead and say it. Jo was a sister to him, and, as far as Sam was concerned, that was final. He was finally able to let all of that other emotional shit go, recalling a time when he would have loved the opportunity to be alone with her, to explore deeper feelings. But relationships evolve, and this was the space she held in his heart. Her laughter was contagious, and he soon found himself joining, throwing his aching head back to let his own laughs echo into the trees... Tag: Dean, Jo Count: 333 Notes: --- Credit: Jax
