- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She wasn't sure what to say, so she didn't say a thing. She knew that Willow had been close to the other wiccan but she really hadn't realized that they had been that close. Sure she knew that Willow had admired her because of everything she had done and learned from her, but it seemed a bit too over the top to her. However she knew she had no room to talk about things being over the top so again, she stayed silent, not wanting to draw anymore unneeded attention to herself. She knew this was pretty pointless as it was only a matter of time before something pushed her into the limelight again…but she could do it as much as she could.
She shot a glare to her best friend when she asked if watching Angel was something that Jenny wanted to do. Really Wills, that was the only thing you could think to ask? She knew that it was probably unfair but she couldn't help but feel completely abandoned at the moment. Where the hell was anyone that was on her side when she needed them? Okay, so again, probably not fair as really no one was on her side with the whole Angelus thing...but still...would have been nice to at least feel like she had backup.
Luckily the door opened before anyone could say anything else but unfortunately it was Xander who walked in. Not that she wasn't happy that he was there because she was since he had been invited, but this really wasn't the conversation that she wanted him involved in. He and Giles were the two she had been trying to keep the whole Angelus thing from in the first place...now clearly Giles knew, but she really didn't want to hear Xander's mouth about it...because she knew exactly what he would say. She heard his comments and questions but didn't say a word, not sure what to say to answer them. How was she going to answer his questions without giving herself away?
Thankfully Giles didn't mention to Angelus statement to Xander, so hopefully no one would mention it again. She laughed softly when Jenny commented on Xander being the same as he always was. This was both a true and false statement. Xander still had the same personality as he always did and still had the same heart as he had always had...but he had only gotten stronger and more mature as the years went on. Sure he still sometimes interjected things at a bad time but that was simply Xander...however when things came down to it he was always there for anyone who he loved.
And that was something she was more than thankful for.
Feeling like she might as well say something finally she sighed and looked at the woman who up until a few moments ago she had believed to have been dead. "What do you mean by seeing more familiar faces? Are we talking people like you and Tara, or are we talking people like random vampires that I've killed. If that's the case I'm retiring right now." She stated, her tone joking but her eyes deathly serious. She had done more than her fair share of slaying over the years...she didn't want to have to do it all over again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Willow just couldn’t believe this, this was like one of the best things to happen to them all. Well expect for Tara coming back and that was more for Willow then anyone else, but it was the best day of her life. Not long after everyone had been put in to shock Xander had walked in the room, Willow could tell by the look on his face he couldn’t believe his eyes. He was just as in shock as she was, but they were both really close with her when she was there Teacher. So she knew that it was going to do this to Xander when he saw her, the witch looked over at her friend giving him a look letting him now she was right here with him. She really didn’t know what to say to him when he walked in, she still in way was in shock to her being back. She still didn’t know if this was real.
It seemed that Giles understood completely how Willow was feeling, he seemed he was bit concerned to what they had planed as well. She knew he was probably going to be looking it to it, and Willow wouldn’t mind helping him on that research. She really wanted to know what they had up there sleeve, she was sure Buffy wanted to know as well. She could tell that Giles was happy to see Xander back with everyone, it seemed like the whole group finally had all came back together. She looked behind her seeing her baby sitting there just as much in shock as they all were, it was sweet seeing Tara act that way being there for them all. It was sweet because really she didn’t even know Jenny, she was dead long before Tara had met the gang. So she loved that fact that her baby was there for them all in this moment, Willow really needed it.
Willow finally was going to speak after standing there in silence for a while in shock. “Yeah Giles that’s why I think they are sending are love ones back to us, I think Tara is here to keep me in check for all I have done. So that must be the reason they sent Jenny to keep something in check. I mean that’s all the powers really care about things that benefit to them, they could care about how we feel.” Willow stopped knowing she was being a bit harsh, it just there was so much at hand right now in this moment.
Its seems like they filled Jenny in on who was all coming back, just by the way she was talking. It then made willow worry and wonder who was coming back next? Willow could tell that Buffy was not really pleased or happy right now just by her tone of voice, plus the fact she really wasn’t saying anything. But Willow knew at this point it been best to leave Buffy and let her speak for herself at this point. It would be best for everyone, last thing she wanted was to make everything worse. Again Willow had to brake the silence in the room again. “So Ms. Calendar what do you plan on doing now that you are back?” The red headed witch asked the missed teacher.
--------------------------------------------------Xander didn't have a clue what was going on. He wondered why Ms. Calendar was back. It was like everyone he knew and cared about were just popping up from the grave in full flesh! He wanted to understand he was hoping that his friends would inform him but so far no one was doing that. Xander smiled at Giles. He had missed Giles a lot actually, although he would never say it. Xander always felt like he was the bad son of Giles. He was the one that always got in trouble for doing innocent mistakes. He remembered when Giles got angry with him because he accidentally fell asleep when Oz was a werewolf, but in his defense it was a school night and he was drained from all screaming and fighting vampires. "Giles! Nice to see you again." He hadn't seen Giles since Rome so it was just good to be seeing him.
Xander was trying to keep up with everyone and wanted to understand the conversations that they were having. "You could...say that. Notice anything different about me?" He had to joke about the eye patch it was just kind of a joke to him now rather than a serious matter. "I have to say though I'm not into the whole comic book scene anymore, so that's something different." He was lying of course, he didn't read comic books a lot but he still knew about them, he wasn't as obsessive though. "And I moved onto bigger, better things," he used big gestures. Maybe he shouldn't be trying to make jokes at a serious moment, but he was lost anyway. At least Willow was in the same position as him, he looked at her as well and then looked back at Ms. Calendar.
"They showed you...everything?" Xander wasn't sure how much everything was but if it was absolutely everything then there definitely were a few moments with Anya where they had a lot of...fun. Or when he was in a dark room and did a lot of stuff, lets just say it would be bad if Ms. Calendar watched their every move. Xander gulped at the thought of her seeing things. He looked around the room nervously. If she truly had seen everything then he'd be really embarrassed. It was nice knowing that she watched over them unless they just gave her those memories, he wasn't too sure.
He wondered why Buffy was being quiet. Was she upset that Ms. Calendar was back? He thought everything was put in the past. If she was actually upset over this then that would be stupid. Or maybe she was hiding something or afraid since Ms. Calendar knew everything. Buffy hadn't done anything though, she had been focused with the potentials and all. He could delete that out of the equation but what could it be then? He didn't want to over think this thing until he found the full proof of whatever it was.
"Wait, wait, wait! I'm trying to understand something. Tara's here to keep you in check. Ms. Calendar is back but she doesn't need to keep Giles in check. The only person she kept in check was...Angel." Did something happen to Angel? Over thinking again Xander! He wasn't so sure but he knew that the only thing Ms. Calendar had to do was keep Buffy and Angel apart when they were in high school. "And Anya's back and I'm pretty sure I don't need checking for anything." It didn't make sense for Anya to be back so why would the powers send her back down as well. Somebody needed to fill him in at least, he didn't want to go crazy.
--------------------------------- --------------------------------- Tara hadn't spoken up much through the entire ordeal. It was putting her far out of her element to see everyone being reunited with a woman she had only heard about after death. The whole situation made her so anxious. Anything she said or did made her feel like she could ruin the moment for any of her friends that were there being reunited. So she kept quiet, only speaking up and smiling when Xander came in, so happy to see him again and in relatively good spirits, "Hello Xander." She had said before returning to her silence, curling her feet up under her on the couch.
Everything about people coming back to life seemed very shady to Tara. The Powers that Be were clearly taking it upon themselves to take an active role in all of their lives, which hadn't seemed to be the case before now. It made Tara wonder if something bigger was about to happen to them, something much more dangerous than before. Of course, this was purely fear and speculation within her own self, though it did seem odd to her that she would be chosen as some sort of safeguard to contain a witch as powerful as Willow and that Ms. Calendar would be sent back by the Powers that Be to watch over Angelus. If they were so worried and powerful, couldn't they control them themselves?
She had known all along what she had been here to do, though hearing Willow verbalize it was a bit odd. Tara had never wanted to flat out say to Willow that she was there because she was suppose to be keeping an eye on her practicing of magic and power. She didn't want anything to change between them or Willow to become angry or embittered about her cautiousness. Still, now that everyone seemed to be coming back from the dead and figuring everything out, she stood when Willow looked back at her, sliding alongside Willow. "Willow is right. It's why I'm supposed to be here, but I had thought I was the only one, until now of course." Tara swallowed, ashamed she hadn't just come out with that as soon as she had been reunited with the gang. Her hand reached for Willow's for reassurance, sliding her fingers in between hers and immediately feeling more comfortable.
As Xander smiled and greeted him, the watcher gave a polite nod back. But with his arrival, it just seemed as if everyone was very confused and asking so many questions, mostly of Jenny. Though he still appeared placid, underneath Giles was becoming slightly perturbed and concerned. Jenny had just come back from the dead, and it was only a few hours ago that she had arrived on the doorstep cold, quiet and exhausted. In fact, she seemed to be standing slightly closer and slightly behind him, searching to make some kind of semi-shield with his body. He gave a short glance back at her, silently asking for confirmation that this meeting hadn’t been too much for her. But he was also among the curious, particularly suspicious of the multiple resurrections that had happened. The Powers had never so casual and direct with their influence or the information they had before, nor had they had this much activity concentrated in such a small space of time. It was obvious that the two women they had recently added back into their fold were the genuine article, but Giles had his reservations about what Jenny and Tara had actually been brought back by. Their memories could have been tampered with or something powerful enough could have passed itself off as the Powers. He desperately hoped that this was not true, but something about the situation was incomplete for the watcher, and his cynicism had been running a bit high as of late. Once Jenny revealed that more resurrections would be on their way, Buffy essentially spoke one of his own questions, although the type of enemy that Giles believed would be on their way was more of the caliber of The First rather than the typical vampires that the Slayers eliminated on their nightly patrols. And Willow seconding his analysis, though not quite in the way Giles had meant it, did give the watcher a bit of extra confidence, ”Frankly, there’s never been evidence that the Powers have ever done anything that was outside of their agenda. And, while it seems that safeguarding certain individuals is included in some of the newly resurrected’s responsibilities, if your resurrection was to only keep a handful of people in check, the question remains about the timing.” He was about to bring up Angelus as an example, but Xander had just expressed confusion about such things and thus, probably hadn’t been informed. Well, it wasn’t Giles’ place to explain such things, and with his current unbalanced relationship with the vampire, Giles would most likely tint the story with his own personal problems surrounding the issue. Best to choose another example and move on, “F-f-for instance, if the Powers wanted to prevent Willow from destroying the world those few years ago, why didn’t they facilitate Tara’s resurrection then? And now, to ensure that Angel doesn’t become Angelus again… It seems to me that the Powers would only do such a thing if something was approaching where we needed to be absolutely sure that no other distractions were possible and that we had as many allies as we could.”The watcher dropped his gaze to the floor and moved to rub his jawline in thought, as well as to keep himself from speaking more. He, of all people, should have been rejoicing at the fact that people long lost were returning to them now that Jenny had reappeared. But he couldn’t move on from the whys. And death was something he had never taken lightly. +++ TAGS: Scoobies! WORD COUNT: 587 NOTES: *ponders*
Jana was not a fan of the fact that she'd been brought back to ensure that Angel would not lose his soul again. Not only was it a burden on herself, but it also made all of the others, especially Buffy, weary around her. The look on Buffy's face when she'd heard it crushed Jenny. No more was this a happy reunion. Again she felt like she was the enemy to Buffy and that hurt her more than she cared to admit. She was supposed to be here to help, not to be the enemy yet again. When the slayer finally spoke out again she couldn't help but take a few moments to ponder her question. It didn't help much, as she couldn't find the answer the slayer sought within her. "I wish I could tell you, but I don't know. All I know is what I've already told you. However in my opinion...it seemed that past foes would be returning to all of your lives again. Again, just what I took from what I was told, which wasn't much."
Although she hated that she didn't have the details on the topic she couldn't help it much. She'd only been told what she had told the gang and then had been shipped back down to earth in the snap of a second. Even she herself was very confused, not to mention disorientated. After all this was still only the first day that she'd been back. Hearing Willow's comment she turned to her, a lopsided, tiny smile crawling against her features. It wasn't very joyous but it'd been the best she could come up with at the time. "I'm not quite sure yet. I'd like to help, as after all I was sent back down to do just that. That's if you guys will have me, that is..." she said, voice trailing off as her eyes floated back on over to the slayer. After all, she knew that Buffy would be the only one to object to her offer of helping them. However with her new found wiccan powers, plus what she knew, she felt as if she could be some sort of help.
Turning back to Xander she couldn't help but amuse him. With a roll of her eyes she shook her head. "Nope, don't notice a thing" she told him, keeping a straight face. Clearly she noticed the eye patch though as she wasn't dumb. With a light laugh she then smiled as well. "Good to hear" she said with a nod, about him finally getting out of the comic book phase. "Everything" she told him simply. Hearing Rupert's voice again calmed her nerves. With a look over to him, she simply nodded agreeably. There wasn't much she needed to say to that. Honestly...this was all very confusing.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She stayed silent, really having no idea what to say. Her loved one hadn’t died so he hadn’t been sent back to her, so she really had nothing to contribute to this conversation. She briefly thought about leaving but figured that would look petty and just downright rude. It would also make her look like a coward, something that she definitely wasn’t. She didn’t know why she was so uncomfortable with a group of people that she considered her family, but this situation wasn’t one that she wanted to be involved in. She had a feeling it came from the whole ‘sleeping with Angelus’ thing that she was trying to put out of her mind but again, that could just be her imagination.
Wow, even her inner voice could appreciate sarcasm.
She didn’t disagree with Willow’s rather harsh statement about the Powers that Be not caring about their feelings, only what benefited to them, but she remained quiet. She wanted to so badly tell Willow that she had been the same way once upon a time, but she knew that particular statement was harsh so she stayed silent, not wanting to get into a disagreement with her best friend. She doubted anyone realized the resentment that she still carried towards her loved ones about taking her out of heaven, and it was something that she refused to let on to. She knew that they had gotten over things a long time ago and while she wished she could do the same, there was a part of her that she wasn’t sure would ever heal, regardless of what she had said and done since then.
She was relieved in some way to know why Tara was back, having not been privy to that bit of information. She had worried about Willow’s ‘dark side’ so to speak anytime the young red head would use magic for anything remotely large…so it was good to know that someone was here to help get a handle on that. While Willow outdid Tara in magical abilities…she lacked in being able to control it…something that she knew the young blonde would be able to help her with, something that Buffy was extremely relieved about. Hearing Willow’s question to Jenny she was curious about the answer, but didn’t offer anything other than her attention. She wasn’t sure what to say, how to say it…or really how to act to be honest.
The blonde slayer winced as Xander deduced what Jenny was back for, and she prayed that she would keep silent about exactly what had happened to cause her to return to the land of the living. She didn’t want to fight with her other best friend, but knew she would defend her actions (at least the ones that caused Angel to lose his soul) until her dying breath. They hadn’t been doing anything wrong, simply lying in bed talking with Kathy…she didn’t know then that he could lose his soul because of that.
She was surprised by the fact that Giles had skirted over the issue of Angelus as much as he had. Oh she was under no illusion that they would have it out eventually, but she was grateful that he didn’t mention it in front of Xander. She shot him a grateful smile though had no idea if he saw it since she quickly shot her eyes to the floor once again, not wanting to look anyone in the eye. She usually had pride for who she was, but now all she felt was embarrassment. She was terrified that they would see the true errors that she had made…and was even more terrified when she heard that the powers had showed Jenny everything. Looking up at her for the first time in what seemed like hours though it might have only been minutes she stared her in the eyes. “They showed you everything?” She asked, echoing Xander’s question once again, knowing that if Jenny clearly knew everything, she would know exactly what Buffy was talking about.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This whole thing was nuts all though Willow was happy to see Jenny more then she could ever know, it still felt so awkward by how everyone seem in the room. Buffy did not look very happy nor did she look it, everyone in the room knew it too just by the way they were all talking. Trying to kind watch the subject even though there was no avoiding it really. It was plan and simple Jenny was here for the same reason as last time, to watch and keep an eye on Angel. It was just a good thing she wasn’t here a bit ago when he was Angelus, all though that probably what set it off making her come there.
Willow kind of felt bad for Xander, he had to be so lost with everything going on, it just seemed as though everyone was coming back left and right on him. She laughed when he said something about his eye patch, it really was sad what had happened to him. But in away it has all grown on them, Willow even thinks it make him look really cool. Makes him even look more like a leader, she is pretty sure that is part of the reason he likes it so much now. Even though He will never admit that. “Oh yeah he has moved on to bigger things” She said with sarcasm joking around, to her he still was the same old Xander and always will be. “But no he has Xander is a watcher now and does a really good job with helping the potentials, just like he does with us over the years.” She said giving him a smile.
Willow did feel bad for Jenny she wanted so much to be here with them all, but with her reason being there it had made the room seem not so welcoming. She knew that after all this was said and done Jenny and her would need to hang out and talk, even though Willow isn’t sure she should tell Buffy that right away. Its just she knew that she should be mad right along with Buffy but she just couldn’t, Ms. Calendar was such an impact on Willow life in magic. She meant so much to her which is why Willow didn’t mean to be harsh but it needed to be said, she knew that Tara could even tell she was upset. She could feel it by the way she was holding her hand tightly, and by the way she was talking. She then looked at her baby giving her a smile mouthing the words “I love you” To her so she knew that Willow was happy she was there for her.
She was a little lost to what she meant by they showed her everything, she was right there with Buffy she wanted to know what she was talking about as well.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Before she could get an answer to any of her questions she heard the door open and slam shut and three of the girls ran in, all running towards her. “Demons and vampires raiding a street a couple streets over. Would have taken them ourselves but only had stakes and couldn’t take them all alone.” Was all she heard before she was up in action, running over to the weapons chest that sat in the corner. Opening it she quickly withdrew several axes, handing one to Xander, one to Willow, one to Giles and keeping one for herself.
“Jenny can you and Tara stay here and make sure that the girls get patched up?” She asked, looking and seeing that all three girls had cuts on them from where they had apparently attempted to take on the vampires before the demons showed up.
“Go and get into patrol clothes, meet back down here in five.” She stated before running upstairs (after putting the axe down of course) and throwing on a pair of yoga pants as the jeans she had on were some of her favorites and she didn’t want them to get ruined. She briefly thought about sticking with just the axe but then after remembering the whole Glory issue a few days earlier ran back down and down the other flight of stairs and grabbed Olaf’s hammer. It was the only thing that could take on Glory and she wanted to be prepared. Granted, she had Willow and she had been able to harm her before but at least this way she was covered.
“Alright, let’s go.” She stated before walking out the door, not having to go very far before she heard the sound of screaming. Yeah, seemed to be that vampires and demons were working together, and they weren’t being all discrete about raiding the town.
Wow, this was going to be a fun night.
