While Buffy had been in North Carolina recently, Faith and Angel had pretty much taken over all of the patrolling. Last night however she'd gone off alone as Angel had been spending time with Katheryn. She didn't mind in the slightest, after all, it was her calling. Plus she enjoyed kicking a little ass every now and then. Despite having a growing army of potential slayers, she still liked to do most of the leg work herself. Unlike some other slayers she enjoyed her calling. Without it, she'd be purposeless in life. If she hadn't become a slayer she'd probably be in jail right now. Alright that wasn't true, as she'd gone to prison despite being a slayer...but hey, she was reformed now!
Nonetheless she paced the cemetery entrance anxiously waiting for Buffy. She had no clue where she was or why she was taking so long, but knew they needed to get going. The sun was going down shortly and she wanted to get to the nest before that happened. They had the advantage during the daylight as the vampires would be sleeping. When she'd found the nest the other night she'd spotted around fourteen or so. While she was perfectly kick ass herself, she'd wanted her sister slayer there for back up. She probably could have taken out the nest herself but she would have definitely picked up some injuries. If you could bring a pal and leave scott free, who wouldn't want to do that instead?
Deciding that she'd waited long enough, she pulled her cell phone out of the pocket of her pants. Dialing the blonde's number she waited until it came to voicemail and left her a message. "B. Where the hell are you? We really don't have all night when it comes to these guys. Hurry your ass up!" With this she angrily hung up and put the phone back in the pocket of her jeans. Although she was wearing jeans and a tank top, she still wore her favorite pair of brown boots. They were comfortable and perfect for kicking vamp's skulls in, so why change what works? A lot of people asked why she would never wear tennis shoes. Usually she ignored them, sometimes she asked why they never wore kickass boots like she did. Nonetheless, her boots would come in handy tonight.
If her slayer sister ever decided to show up, that is. The crypt housing the vamps wasn't too far away. It was getting later and now near eight o' clock, the sun would be going down shortly. Perhaps she should just go in without her? She currently had an axe in her hands and two stakes, one each of her boots. Though she could do it alone, she decided to wait a couple more minutes before going in. Hopefully, B was already on her way and that was why she hadn't answered. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She groaned as she looked at her watch. Her sister slayer was going to kick her ass once she finally showed up. She had gotten roped into a last minute faculty thing (which made her extremely uncomfortable as she was definitely not dressed anywhere near what she should have been while in the work environment. Unfortunately she had been walking by the school on her way to the cemetery when her boss had called out to her and asked her opinion. She had been there for close to three hours now and they were in no way seeming like they were going to ever finish talking.
She sighed again, looking down at her outfit and blushing. She was not the type of person who flaunted her body around those she was in a professional setting with. Granted her outfit wasn't slutty or anything, but it was definitely not something a high school counselor should be wearing. The off the shoulder, one sleeve short that was rouched was extremely form fitting and showed off how tiny she really was. Actually if someone looked close enough they would see that she actually needed to put on a bit of weight, having lost it after the whole Angelus debacle.
Her skinny jeans gripped her powerful legs like a second skin and were paired with her thigh high black suede boots. Paired with her simple cross necklace and her stake which was currently digging into her foot as she had to shove it in her boot when she heard her boss's voice she definitely didn't look like a high school counselor.
Tapping her fingers on the desk in front of her she had finally had it. She needed to get the hell out of here and unfortunately the teachers and other staff members around her were clearly not in any hurry. Sending a quick text message to herself she waited for it to make a noise before acting as if it was a surprise that she had it. "Oh no." She gasped, hoping her acting was up to par and she didn't show any signs of lying. "My sister is apparently at the air port waiting for me. She left a message at the house and apparently I never received it. I'm sorry but I have to go." She stated, waiting for her boss to wave her on.
Once she was allowed to leave she quickly bolted out the door, running towards the cemetery. Jesus she was wayyy too late. Faith was going to kick her ass from here to next week. Not that she didn’t deserve it but still.
Seeing her sister slayer standing in the cemetery with an axe in her hand she quickly ran towards her, panting as she slid into a stop that would have made any baseball player proud. "Sorry sorry sorry." She gasped out, out of breath from running several miles to the cemetery instead of walking it or driving it like she probably should have. "Got held up at a meeting in which I wasn't supposed to attend in the first place." She explained, leaning down and sighing in relief as she finally was able to pull the stake out of her boot, which she was sure there was a permanent welt from where the tip had dug into her foot for the last three hours.

Out of nowhere it seemed that Buffy had finally decided to show up. As Buffy came to a skidding stop Faith instinctively reached out to grab her sister's shoulders to steady her. Once she was completely halted she spoke breathlessly as Faith simply stood there and stared, one of her hands on her hip while the other held her ax. "Thanks for showing up about, oh, fifteen minutes before sundown" she sneered. Although a bit annoyed she wasn't truly mad at Buffy. It wasn't too big of a deal that sundown was coming it was just that the sunlight made things a lot easier on them. For once it gave them the upper hand which would be nice considering that they were outnumbered by quite a few.
Faith rolled her eyes at the blonde as she told her about her meeting. "Another work thing? B, why do you continue to have a job? It's not like money is a problem." Faith hadn't ever had a job, not once in her entire life. It wasn't like she felt like she was above having a job or anything. It was simply that before, she'd simply taken whatever she had needed. Taken, stolen, whichever you preferred. When she'd become good, everyone around her already had the resources that they needed and it hadn't ever been an issue.
Besides, what kind of job could Faith possibly have had? She couldn't imagine herself being a guidance counselor like Buffy. She'd simply tell the kids to shut up and get over whatever was bothering them and she had a feeling that wouldn't go over too well with her boss. Customer service wouldn't have been good either, as she had the strong notion that customers weren't always right. It was needless to say that she never wanted a job either. She was a slayer, that was her duty, not coddling a bunch of snotty brats.
As the blonde pulled out a stake, Faith lifted her ax to lay across her back so that she could easily wield it before her. With this she began walking in the direction of the nest she'd spotted earlier. "So whats going on with you and Angel? He's been a little less broody lately" she asked Buffy, giving a small smirk as she looked at her out of the side of her face. While she was clearly giving her a suggestive look, she knew nothing was going on between them physically. If it was, Angel would now be Angelus. Since she'd just seen him last night she knew that he was the good old Angel. Vaguely she wondered if she should tell her about Spike, but figured it wasn't something that needed to be discussed. Plus she wasn't even sure if Spike wanted his precious Buffy to know. Gag.
Seeing the crypt in the distance, she lifted the ax off of her shoulder and pointed out the crypt with it. Once she'd shown Buffy the correct one, she laid it across her shoulder once again. "Spotted a couple dozen or so of them the other night. They've made a nest, bodies and all" she elaborated, explaining the situation to her fellow slayer before they reached their destination. Looking up to the sky and the impending darkness, she stopped once they reached the door and turned to Buffy. "We'd better make this quick" she said simply, waiting to go in whenever Buffy was ready. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Feeling her sister slayer's arms on her shoulders she breathed out before standing up straighter, getting her bearings in order. Jesus Christ she was getting too old for these crazy ten mile runs. She remembered when she was younger that she could run through the whole damn town of Sunnydale without breaking a sweat or getting out of breath. However now it seemed that a few miles of running and she was done for. She didn’t like the breathless feeling she was getting and she wondered briefly if she was getting sick. She rarely got sick as the slayer strength within her seemed to get her immune system in top shape but eh, she really didn’t know what else to think.
Maybe it was time to join a gym.
She would admit that since moving away from Sunnydale she hadn’t done a lot of running so maybe she just needed to start up again. Sunnydale was a small enough town that a lot of times when she was patrolling she had to play the helpless victim who ran away (or tried too) in order to move the vampires away from civilization before slaying them. She hadn’t had to do that much here and apparently it was taking its toll on her. Yep, first thing tomorrow she was finding a gym…or at least going a few laps every day after work on the track around the football field at the high school.
Hearing Faith's question she couldn't help but laugh. She knew no one really understood why she enjoyed having a job at the school as they really didn't have to worry about money anymore. It was a comfort thing to her...and it also still allowed her a tiny piece of that normal life that she so used to crave. The craving wasn't as large as it had once been but it was still there, in the back of her mind. “Keeps me busy. Also keeps me up to date on what’s going on around us. Teenagers tend to know a lot more about what’s going on in the town than the adults like to think. Ask Willow or Xander about anything that went on in Sunnydale in high school, they’ll be able to tell you. Now ask Giles, he wouldn’t have a clue. It’s because teenagers talk. I’ve found more vampires through the grapevine here than I have through regular patrols…so it works out well.” She stated, though clearly not giving away her whole reason.
She walked next to her sister slayer, feeling the gentle camaraderie that they shared. Bumping her shoulder lightly at her question she laughed. "Eh, not much to be honest. We talked a bit but still haven't really had the opportunity to really spend any time together other than a few short meetings here and there." She stated before grinning. At one time she would have shared her next statement with Willow but things were still a bit strained between the two of them. She wasn't sure if Willow noticed, but Buffy had pulled back from her...and at the moment she didn't feel like sharing things with her. "Though I did get to see him pout like a three year old the other day. Had to run to North Carolina to help out Amy with some big demon nest. Was gone for three days and when I got back he was all huffy and puffy about not knowing where I was. It was pretty cute." She told her with a wink.
Seeing where Faith pointed she groaned, wishing she had brought something other than a stake. She had known there was a nest, but didn't realize it was quite so large. "Alrighty, let's do it sister." She stated. "Shall we bust in unannounced, you know, give them a really good wakeup call?" She asked her with a grin, clearly remembering a time when she had snuck out of class to do just that.

Faith couldn’t help but smirk at the blonde as she stood there with such difficulty breathing after her run. The brunette knew where the school was and while yes it was quite the distance, she wasn’t so sure she should be breathing quite that hard. After all they had fucking super powers for god’s sake. ”You need an inhaler over there?” she asked with a devilish smirk. She couldn’t help but dig at her the younger slayer. Although most people didn’t believe the fact that Faith was a year younger, it was indeed true. It wasn’t a full year but it was a year numbers wise nonetheless. After everything they’d been through she felt like messing with her slayer sister sometimes, keeping things light. She wasn’t Willow, she wasn’t going to sit around with Buffy and braid hair all fucking night. No, the only time they ever really go together was to do just this; kick ass.
Shaking her head she simply laughed, looking out into the cemetery and then back at them. ”We’re gettin’ too old for this shit” she said, looking back out into the empty and eerily quiet cemetery. Cemeteries were always quiet during the daytime. When night fell was when the activity got bumping with the demons and such. Sure some demons went out in the daytime but it was definitely a rarity. Deciding she wanted a cigarette before this event, she pulled out a pack of Newport 100’s and took one out of the cardboard case. Placing it back into her bra where she’d been keeping it, she then searched for a moment in her bra for her lighter. All the while it seemed Buffy was giving her quiet the odd look. Finally finding the lighter, she lit her cigarette and took a drag. Having noticed Buffy’s look, she exhaled and then looked at the other slayer. ”Shut up. I’m not big on bags” she said, simply explaining why she stored them in her bra.
If they were going to have a quick chat session then she figured she’d get in a quick cigarette as well. ”Maybe so. But kids? Not up my alley” she said shaking her head. Taking another drag on her cigarette, she still held her stake in the other hand and it was limp at her side. As Buffy bumped her shoulder playfully she exhaled out all of her smoke. ”Maybe that’s a good thing” she said, about Buffy and Angel not spending too much time together. Before her slayer sister could get upset, she made it clear that she was kidding with her next comment. ”Wouldn’t want you guys to bump nasties and get a whole bunch of people killed…again” she said, smirking the entire time. She totally loved fucking with Buffy. She usually got very defensive about it, which was equally as fun. Another drag of the cigarette. She was trying to finish it quickly. ”Angel? Pouting? Is that any different then brooding?” she asked jokingly, though she truly wondered at the same time.
After one last drag, Faith threw her cigarette down and squashed it with her foot. She considered Buffy’s proposal, though got a sudden, better idea instead. ”Better idea” she said, another evil grin on her own features. Quietly opening the door to the crypt she signaled for Buffy to quietly follow behind her. Once they were both inside, Faith reached inside of her bra again. She didn’t say anything verbally to Buffy to explain because she didn’t want to wake the sleeping vampires up just yet. Pulling out her lighter, she gave one last smirk to Buffy before leaning down to one of them sleeping. It was actually three of them all lying on the same mattress pad, blanket thing. She put her lighter to the blanket and watched as it began to catch fire. Standing up tall again she placed in the lighter in her bra and lifted her stake, readying herself for the coming attack. Waiting for the moment, she couldn’t help but have a large smile spreading at her cheeks. Come on, how classic was this? - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Groaning she glared at her sister slayer. "No smart ass I don't." She told her. "More like I need to go back to the gym...or at least find a track somewhere and start running again. Being in Rome I got used to not having to run through the streets like a crazy person at all times since it's so crowded. Back in Sunnydale the vampires were a lot more feisty." She told her off handedly before realizing how that sounded and blushed. Normally it wouldn't have sounded bad but with her history with both Spike and Angel, she knew that the brunette wouldn't be able to resist commenting. At one time she would probably get angry at the insinuation, but now wasn't that time. She had a past and as much as she wanted to deny some of it she couldn't...and really now that she had grown up a bit she realized that she wouldn't take most of it back.
Shrugging at her old comment she couldn't help but remind her. "At least we have the opportunity to say that." She told her quietly. "Not many slayers have lasted as long as we have...and to be honest I'd much rather do this shit to the day I die rather than allow some young girl to take our place and possibly get hurt. So we may be doing this while our knees are popping and our hips need replacing in about fifty years, but at least it's us and not someone else." She stated, not reminding either one of the girls that there was a good chance they wouldn't live long enough to fully appreciate hip replacements and knee surgeries...Faith would know what she meant.
Snickering at for all intents and purposes her sister she rolled her eyes as she smelled the smoke. "You know that's probably going to kill you quicker than a demon ever will." She groused, her nose crinkling as she smelled the smoke emitting from the cigarette.
Hearing her comment about Angel she glared. "That's only happened once. We know our limits to what we can do...the last time was a total fluke thing and you know it. How the hell were we supposed to know that he'd lose his soul by laying in bed with his sister and me? We were only going to sleep for gods sake." She muttered. "And no, pouting and brooding are not the same thing. Brooding is his normal way of dealing with things. Pouting is when he has this petulant look on his face about how wronged he was about something. I've really only seen him pout one other time and that was when he found out that Spike had a soul. Jesus Faith you would have thought he was four." She told her before smirking slightly and mocking her...again, no idea what Angel was to her, imitating his low voice and everything...and doing a horrible job of it but it was funny. "That's great. Everyone's got a soul now. You know I started it. The whole having a soul thing. Before it was all the cool new thing." She giggled quietly when she finished, knowing that not many people got to see that side of Angel.
Fearing for her sister's sanity at the almost evil grin on her face she followed her, realizing what she was doing only a split second before she had done it. Yells filled the room as three vampires caught fire. "Seriously you couldn't have given me one so I could do it too?" She asked with a mock glare before jumping into the fray, staking one as she did and head butting another, raising her stake in order to take out the one she had head butted. That was definitely going to leave a mark.

As her sister glared at her, Faith only allowed herself to let out a few husky laughs. She had been expecting that look. Buffy could usually be quite predictable, well, at least with Faith she could. Not to mention that Faith just enjoyed fucking with her. She was too easy. Looking at Buffy out of the corner of her eye, she couldn't help but comment. She'd set herself up for that one. "We basically have a gym in the basement. Maybe you should hit that up instead of cuddling with your snuggle bunny." Although she hadn't meant it seriously she assumed Buffy would take it seriously. It'd been a joke for god sake's. Faith simply liked to give her a hard time. It was just too easy to the blonde's feathers ruffled these days. At Buffy talking about the vampires being feistier, there were a couple ways she could go with that. However since she'd just brought Angel up two seconds ago, she went another way it. "Sometimes even the slayers were feistier in Sunnydale too..." she said trailing off, clearly talking about herself.
As she then went on to talk about hip replacements she couldn't help but let out a small few chuckles. "Ain't that the truth" she said, still laughing. "I know the new girls are supposed to be our 'equals' but honestly, that's definitely not true. Sometimes I'm afraid to send their asses out into the real world" she said, throwing up finger quotations around the word equals. Supposedly they all had the same amount of power now. However the brunette and the blonde both knew that was far from the truth. With their training and experience, not even the most talented new slayer had anything on them. As sad as it was, Faith sometimes found it easier to simply do everything herself.
The brunette slayer rolled her eyes at her sister's comment about the smoke. "If I didn't smoke and drink, I wouldn't be able to do any of this shit. Everyone's gotta have a vice." She said this and simply shrugged her shoulders, not caring much that her sister couldn't understand why she did it. She did however switch the cigarette to the other hand and moved the stake into that hand so the smoke wouldn't blow on Buffy. That was polite, eh? "So shut your cakehole, blondie" she said with a smirk, taking another long drag.
Another roll of the eyes at Buffy. She shrugged. "That one yes, that was a fluke. But I've seen that boy lose his soul so many times I can't keep up an accurate count. He just can't seem to hold on to that damned thing" she said, half truthfully and half jokingly. Maybe she shouldn't have said this to Buffy. She didn't really feel like explaining to Buffy about Angel losing his soul in Los Angeles. Now wasn't the time. Bursting out in laughter at the thought of Angel finding out Spike had a soul, she nearly doubled over. "I so would have liked to see that." Her thoughts went back to Spike. Should she tell her? She wasn't sure.
As the three vampires ignited, all of them but two dusted right away. Faith rushed the third while he was still on the ground and staked him. "Sorry B, guess you're just not as bad ass as I am" she said jokingly, jumping into the crazyness that had now taken the crypt over. Vampires were everywhere and it seemed that there was just under ten or so left. One came from her left and she popped him with an elbow, hitting him in the ribs so that he doubled over. One in front of her took a roundhouse kick and she rushed him, watching as dust fell to the floor. The one she'd elbowed came up behind her and moved to choke her. She leaned over and tossed him over her back, leaning down to stake him as well.
Noticing Buffy fighting with one of her one, there was another coming towards the blonde. Faith cut him off and kicked him in the chin, to which he then nearly flew into Buffy. As her eyes caught her slayer sister's, she figured now or never. "By the way...I've been sleeping with Spike" she blurted out, wondering how she'd take it. Just then she was tackled to the ground by a vamp she hadn't seen coming. Tag: B Outfit: Click here for Faith's outfitWord Count: 786 Notes: Sorry this got so lengthy! Accident!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She knew she had set herself up for Faith to say something before she even finished speaking the words. "I still work out smartass...I just need to find a track and run. Besides, you know damn well that me and Angel sparring is a better work out than anyone else gets." She stated with a smirk, knowing that it could have been taken either way...sexual or non...but still...it was fun anyway. She knew that if Angel had been standing near her she would have never said that last comment but eh, he wasn’t around. What Angel didn’t hear wouldn’t hurt him.
"You're not the only one." She stated, clearly agreeing with her sister slayer about the newer girls. "They concern me as they seem more interested in hanging out with the other girls than learning how to keep themselves alive. I am starting to understand why the watcher's council has made it to where it was one girl at all times instead of numerous. I mean I'm glad that they have some people to talk to about things but Jesus, let's get our act together for five minutes and start learning how to defend ourselves rather than talking about the latest boy band." She ranted on, having held that particular thought in for a long time. "Every time a huge thing goes down one of us gets called...what are they going to do when we aren't around anymore...I mean...no one lives forever." She stated sardonically.
That wasn't the first time that she had heard a comment about Angel losing his soul. She honestly didn't want to know. She knew she should ask...knew she should try to find out before it bit her in the ass, but at the same time she was worried that if she found out she would lose her shit again and she really didn't want to go all Rambo on Angel again. "Yeah, not even going to ask. I already got pissed at him a couple weeks ago and ended up cracking his skull on a headstone. Don't really wanna fight with him again. So don't tell me." She told her, her words joking but her eyes clearly showing the truth of her words. She couldn’t handle knowing that he had lost his soul to another girl…no matter how it had happened. She wanted to live in her little denial verse where she was the only one who could give Angel ‘true happiness’.
Stopping as she heard Faith's comment about Spike she groaned as she felt a foot connect with her nose. Fuck that was going to leave a mark...or a break for that matter. Groaning as she saw a bit of blood forming she quickly wiped it away with the back of her hand, grimacing at the grossness of it but knowing there wasn’t much she could do at the moment to get away with it she jumped up, wincing at the pain in her nose. Yep, her nose was definitely broken. Oh that was going to be fun to deal with later. "You what?!" She asked her, shock coloring her words.
Punching the vampire in the face she glared. "You should know how vain blondes are...never mess with the face." She ranted before shoving her stake in his heart, turning around and looking for someone else to kill. She wasn't really sure how she felt about the revelation about Faith and Spike sleeping together, though it did clear up a few questions she had about why Spike had been so distant towards her recently. She would admit to feeling a tiny bit annoyed by the revelation...as at one time Faith had wanted in Angel's pants too. She bit her tongue, not really wanting to get into it with her. She wasn't jealous per say...more...she didn't really know what she was feeling.
She did know that her nose fucking hurt.

Shaking her head, Faith couldn't help but agree. Actually fighting with someone as good or better than you taught one a lot. She'd trained with Angel more times than she could count and it'd honestly taught her a lot. "Yeah yeah, if 'sparring' is what you wanna call it..." she replied, taking the statement to an all new level. Surely Buffy had seen that one coming. Whenever Buffy set herself up for something, Faith couldn't help but go with it. It was her personality, even if there wasn't much truth to it at times. All in all she just liked to give the other slayer a hard time, to keep her on her toes. If Faith didn't do it, who would? Willow? Yeah, probably not.
"Agreed. I don't know who the hell 'One Direction' is, but they can't be more important than staying alive. Plus...they're not even hot" she told the blonde, shaking her head in disappointment. "Their priorities are definitely a little askew" she said with a small laugh. The fact that she often found the girls chatting and watching TV more than she found them working out or training disappointed her. Faith loved her calling, it was what made her life worthy of living. These girls on the other hand didn't seem to understand just how important their jobs truly were. She'd tried to show them, but there was only so many times she could repeat the same speech. She was their teacher, not their mother.
The brunette nodded to agree that they wouldn't live forever, and then her eyes seemed to drift away from the blonde. She looked out into the distance wondering what would happen after she was gone. Would the girls be able to continue the line? To hold back evil like her and Buffy had? It scared her to think that they might not be ready yet. Her and Buffy could kick it at any moment, and not a single one of the potentials was ready to see them go. Kennedy had been the most promising and now...well, she was gone. It had been her own fault, but Faith still thought about her often. She had been the one new slayer Faith had thought might be able to take over when her and Buffy were out of the running. Now she wasn't so sure if they'd be able to keep the world going without them...
Faith's eyebrows arched and she looked back to Buffy at hearing her speak. She knew she shouldn't have even made the comment about Angel losing his soul. However she sometimes tended to have diarrhea of the mouth, and couldn't control what came out of her lips. It happened. Buffy clearly wanted a change of subject, so Faith simply nodded and made the motion of zipping her lips. Truth be told she was a bit curious about the cracking his skull open thing, but Buffy would tell her later if she wanted to. She wasn't going to butt in. For once, at least...
Faith was growing.
As the blonde took a hit to the nose, Faith was tackled to the ground. The axe was knocked out of her hands and made a clanging noise as it hit the ground next to her. With the vampire straddling her, Faith headbutted him in the forehead to disorient him. It slightly disorientated herself as well. It definitely hadn't felt good. However when he started to fumble a bit, she catapulted him off of her with her legs. Rocking back on her forearms she threw herself back up onto her feet. Reaching down to grab her axe again, she used the non-pointy end to shove behind her and hit a vampire in the nose. Hearing it crunch, she looked back to the other slayer, but only briefly. "Spike and I...hooked up a couple times. No big. Just felt like telling someone" she shouted to her slayer sister through the fray of insanity that was the crypt.
Truth be told, it was slightly a big deal. Buffy probably hadn't been the best person to tell, but fuck it. She had wanted to tell someone. Being elbowed in the ribs, she shouted out. "Fuck", though she didn't take the time to check if she'd broken a rib or not. Instead she swung her axe around behind her, successfully beheading the vampire she'd hit in the nose. Pushing on through the dust she moved back to the one who'd tackled her, and roundhouse kicked him in the chest. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She rolled her eyes again at her sister slayer. Jesus if she spent more time with Faith than she already did her face wasn't going to freeze with her eyes rolled back into her head permanently. "Yes, because we can do more than sparring...let me tell you." She stated sarcastically. It was the truth though...she and Angel couldn't do much more than kiss and spar. Well, spar, kiss and tai-chi. Anyone who saw them do tai-chi though would know if was almost their form of making love in a way. The moves that were usually fluid and graceful for anyone else were almost intimate in the way that they did it...and almost always lead to a heated make out session.
However she wasn’t about to tell Faith that.
Nodding, thankful to be off the Angel subject, she groaned. "Agreed...and also what's up with their obsession with Justin Beiber or whatever the hell is name is? I understand that having a bunch of girls who know what you're going through and such is great but still, let's get focused here people. I'm actually pretty relieved. Sam called yesterday from Rome and said that she is coming next week to pick a bunch of the girls up and take them back to Rome...so that will definitely help." She stated with a very pronounced sigh of relief. "I need a tiny break from all the giggling."
She knew that she was being slightly bitchy but really she couldn’t help it. She wasn’t used to the amount of work that it took to handle a bunch of teenage girls under one roof. “Also if anyone else comes to me because so and so hurt their feelings I’m going to snap. I understand that I’m a counselor but that’s only on school days and only until 3:30 in the afternoon. After that I’m off the clock and don’t’ want to listen to who used who’s nail polish and lost it.” She ranted.
Pouting for a brief moment about being hit in the nose was unfortunately a brief moment too much as she was tackled. "Fucking A." She whined before flipping her and her attacker over so she was on top, rolling her eyes at how that sounded even in her head. Plunging the stake in his heart she groaned as she fell forward as she had been on him before he turned to dust. Yeah, she never thought that move over until she was done...and she always paid the price for it later. Unfortunately she didn’t have time to think about it now as she was still surrounded by a couple vampires.
"I know I know, we woke you up so your crabby...but seriously don't you people know how to treat a lady?" She asked loudly before jumping up and kicking two of them simultaneously, almost looking like she was doing a split jump but simply doing it for convenience. Once the two were down she staked one and then staked the other...wanting to get this over with so she and her sister could have a chat. "Okay...so you two dating or just screwing?" She asked loudly as she ducked a punch from a burly vampire who desperately needed some acne medicine.

A look off apology came across the brunette's Faith after hearing Buffy's sarcastic comment. Although Buffy surely knew that she was only kidding she still probably shouldn't have made any comments about her and Angel. It was a sore spot for the blonde and she knew it, sometimes her mouth just tended to speak with connecting with her brain. She was blunt and rude at times, even when she knew better. "Sorry B, prolly shouldn't have even brought it up" she told her, looking into the other slayer's eyes. She knew they were to a point in their friendship where they could easily mess around with each other, but Angel probably wasn't the best topic to do that with. Faith should have known better quite honestly.
Now off of the subject, she hoped that whole Angel comment would blow over. She didn't want any animosity between her and Buffy. There had been plenty of it in the past and they definitely didn't need that again. Not when things had been better between them. Plus it was far better for the group and the potentials if they got along decently. Better for everyone honestly. "Damn, I've heard about him too. First of all he sounds like a girl...second of all, isn't he like twelve fucking years old? I will never understand that one either" she told Buffy with a laugh. It was definitely the truth, the girls taste in music was absolutely awful.
A small nod and a shrug of the brunette's shoulders, she definitely agreed on the whole needing a break thing. "Thank god, same here. Remind me to kiss Sam when I see her" she said with a short, husky laugh. While she and Buffy laughed, it wasn't the same as the potentials. Their laughs weren't high pitched and pre-hormonal like the new slayers, nor were they hysterical and annoying. Sometimes she just felt like smacking the giggles right out of them for god's sake.
"Thankfully they know better than to come to me. I think they know I'll just tell them to kick the other's ass or shut the fuck up. Good thing I didn't take a job counseling" she stated with another laugh, realizing just how bad that sounded. Telling a teenager to kick another's ass? Yeah definitely not the best course of action. However Faith hadn't ever claimed to be a mother figure for them. That was left to Buffy instead, who seemed much more suited. Faith just taught them how to kick ass.
As Buffy continued fighting, Faith had a few vampires of her own. Jumping on top of a large, cement coffin in the middle of the crypt, she crouched down and swung her axe successfully decapitating two vampires. One that'd been behind her grabbed her legs from underneath her and pulled. Falling to the floor, she kept the axe in her hands but almost hit her head on it. Kicking backwards, she knocked the vampire in the face and then rolled off of the coffin. One kick to his chin on his leg and then another to his chest when he knelt over and he was on the floor. Using the other end of the axe, she snapped a piece off the wooden handle to make it pointy. Plunging it through his chest she realized there was only two vampires left, one for each slayer.
"Do I look like someone who dates?" she asked loudly to the other slayer, though it was definitely a rhetorical question. She struggled with the vampire for a moment as Buffy finished up hers, and then turned to the slayer in the now empty crypt. "Just screwing" she said simply, brushing the dust off of her pants. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She heard the brief apology but waved it off, not needing it. She understood that her sex life...at least that with Angel...was public knowledge to anyone and everyone. Not that she and Angel had a sex life but either way...ever since the day she turned seventeen it had been public knowledge...even to those who hadn't known her at seventeen. “No worries. You’re not the only one who brings it up.” She stated with a forced laugh. She truly wasn’t mad at her sister slayer as she knew how Faith was. She was brash, blunt, and often rude without really meaning to be. That was just the way the brunette was and the blonde knew that.
She snickered at Faith's rant about the girls music and then about kissing Sam. "I think I might hug her, but I'll leave the kissing her all up to you." She told her with a wink. “You seem like the type that would be all over kissing her rather than me. I’ll stick to making out with vampires.” She stated with a laugh. She knew that it would either annoy her sister slayer to no end or that it would make her laugh…either way it was funny.
Cracking up at the thought of Faith as a counselor and then the mental image that went along with her statement, she almost fell to the ground laughing...and would have had she not been in the middle of a damn fight. "Yeah, that probably wouldn't go over too well at the schools." She stated. "Since you know, we usually try and teach kids that violence isn't the answer." She told her, right before punching another vampire in the nose. "Because you know, I'm such an expert at the whole non-violence thing." She moaned out, her nose still fucking hurting like a son of a bitch.
Staking her last vampire she dusted off her hands before grabbing her nose again. "Shit." She stated with a pout. "This shit hurts." She groaned. She usually wasn't one who let cuss words fly but her nose hurt like hell. She briefly thought about running to the hospital to get it looked at but then remembered how much she hated hospitals (she had no idea how that slipped her mind) and figured she'd beg Angel, Willow or Giles to take care of it later. One of them would know how to put her nose back in place without her murdering them. I.E. Probably should go to Angel since if she punched him he could take it.
"You could date if you wanted to you know." She told her, holding her head up so blood wouldn't get everywhere. "Besides, Spike is a good guy. You two would be a good couple. Neither one of you likes the drama that relationships make so there would essentially be no drama to be had." She stated with a shrug. "Besides, you both deserve someone who is going to put you first." She told her. Sure she had been slightly surprised at the fact that she and Spike had ended up sleeping together, but that didn’t mean she was mad. She personally thought the two would be a good couple…and for some very odd reason she thought about how it would sort of fitting. The two real slayers dating the two vampires with a soul. “Jesus our lives could be a damn television show if you think about it.”

Although the blonde quickly waved off the apology Faith had given, she still felt slightly guilty. Knowing that it was a touchy subject (literally) she shouldn't have even brought it up in the first place. However sometimes she tended to put her foot directly into her mouth. Actually, she did that quite often. Nonetheless it didn't take very long for the guilt to go away. Faith wasn't one to stress over the little things. If Buffy could forgive her for everything else she'd done to her, this was nothing.
At the thought of her kissing Sam, she bellowed a few husky laughs. All in all Sam was a great gal, but Faith didn't swing that way. "Nah, not my thing. Although if I were to swing that way, ya know, in a drunken state, Sam totally wouldn't be my type. I'm thinking more...Charlize Theron, total badass type." Only able to hold it in for a short amount of time, she soon burst out into laughter. Honestly she just found it amusing that they were talking about each other having girl-on-girl relations. Considering how wound up Buffy could be, it surprised her that it didn't make her uncomfortable. Although the girl had definitely changed a lot since they'd first met, they both had.
"Well in our lives, violence is always the answer" she said simply. Now that all of the vampires were gone it seemed that it might be time to leave the crypt. However she didn't necessarily want to just yet. So instead, she set the axe onto the tombstone she'd been standing on earlier so she didn't have to carry it. Next, she went to stand in front of it. Both hands went behind her and planted onto it, and she lifted herself up with ease. Now sitting on the tombstone looking over to Buffy, she simply let her legs swing below her. "Kids just suck in general. I wouldn't have the patience, I'd end up bitch slapping half of them and getting arrested. Again..." she added to the arrested part with a small laugh. The funniest part about it? More than likely, that would really happen.
Looking over to the blonde seemingly struggling with her current injury, she laughed a genuine laugh. It was kind of amusing. "Not the first time it's been broken, and won't be the last" she said with another laugh. Even Faith herself had broken her nose before, just not as many times as Buffy had. That girl had broken her nose more times than Faith could count on one hand. Although Buffy was clearly beautiful, anyone who really looked at her nose could definitely tell. Seemed that it just came with the job.
When her sister slayer told her she could date, she couldn't help but give her a 'wtf' kind of look. "I. Don't. Date." Although it was simple, it told the other slayer all she needed to know. Faith wasn't one for going out to dinner and a movie. They patrolled together, drank together, and screwed, occasionally talking during. That was about all they did, and about all she wanted to do. She wasn't a frilly school girl and she didn't need flowers, nor did she need a fucking label. Labels are for mainstreamed losers. At hearing the world couple, she raised her eyebrows. "Don't ever call us a couple, or i'll be forced to bitch slap you instead of the kids at your school." A husky laugh came from her, a bit forced, but to let the blonde know she was joking. "Who said I was putting him first?" she then asked with a sly smile. That hadn't happened so far...and she didn't think it ever would. In her world, she came first, and only her. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She snorted at Faith actually thinking about what type of girl that she would go for if she went for girls...only Faith. Then again she did understand what she meant. Buffy herself was as straight as a rod (wow, that was a pun that she hadn't even tried to make) and yet for some reason she knew that if she was ever in a drunken state and swung that way, that Sam wouldn't be her type either...then again she doubted Charlize Theron would be either. "I don't even know what my type would be...since anytime I think about anything remotely close to sexual all I can see is the tall dark and handsome vampire waiting at home for me." She stated with a wink before laughing.
Yes she and Faith had come a long way since first meeting in Sunnydale.
"Heh." She stated with a shrug. "I asked Xander that once, if I always used violence to solve my problems. He never really gave me a straight answer. He said something along the lines of 'As long as you believe that' or something." She pouted for effect. "I'm starting to get a complex." She tried to keep the pout but the grin that came through it effectively ruined it so she simply smiled and didn't continue on attempting. "Kids don't suck...they are just...I don't even know. But yes, you would totally get arrested for bitch slapping someone. Aren't you still technically supposed to be in jail?"She asked, not really ever getting the full story of how Faith was able to get out.
Rolling her eyes she sighed with a huff. "I know, but still. I hate breaking my nose. It hurts!" She whined. "I mean a broken arm I can handle, a broken leg no issue, a problem wrist, broken finger, broken anything but my nose or my neck. Not that I've broken my neck before but still. Why does it always have to be my damn nose?" She asked, hating the fact that she sounded vain but at the same time not caring enough to stop. She had very few things in her life that she could truly say that she was a bit vain about, but her face was one of them. She knew she was pretty and the broken nose tended to make her feel not so pretty, something that no girl wanted to feel.
She rolled her eyes at her sister slayer, knowing where this was going. Hearing her spit out the words that she didn't date she knew that there was more to say so she stayed quiet, waiting for her to finish what she was going to say. It didn't take long for the blonde to hear something about not calling them a couple and bitch slapping her instead of the kids. "Okay A.) You've bitch slapped me before, I got over it. However can we wait until my nose isn't broken before you do it? I really don't wanna be in anymore pain then I have to be." She stated with a laugh, knowing it would irk the brunette. "B.) You could date if you really wanted too...besides dating isn't what it used to be, at least not in my book. I think the last date I went on was with Riley back my freshman or sophomore year of college." She told her, thinking and not being able to remember. She knew she was lying since she had gone out on one date with Robin back in Sunnydale but figured it was best not to bring that up.
"If it came to saving someone else or saving him...who would you choose?" She asked her quietly, wondering the answer.

The way the blonde slayer looked at her, Faith couldn't help but wonder if the conversation at hand made her feel a bit awkward or not. With Faith, there wasn't many things that one couldn't say to her. Honestly there weren't many topics that made her squirm at all. For the most part she was an open book, especially when it came to the sexual things. Hell everyone knew that. "Come on, Charlize is totally hot and you know I'm straight." With a shrug of her shoulders, she couldn't help but wonder something. "How do you do it?" When she realized Buffy probably didn't know what in the hell she was taking about, she laughed before continuing. "Ya know..how can you and Angel stand being together without a little rough and tumble?" Rough and tumble was her polite way of putting it. She could have just asked how she could stand not banging Angel, but knew she would have made the blonde uncomfortable. Innocent little Buffy...
Xander was a funny guy and she did enjoy his company. However whenever she did see him, she couldn't help but remember forcibly taking his virginity...Talk about awkward... "If you think about it, what in the fuck would we do without violence? It'd be a lot of yelling and standing around" she said, scrunching her eyebrows and her nose briefly. Unlike the other slayer, Faith rather enjoyed violence. Not that this was a good thing. Again Faith made a loose shrug of her shoulders. "Yeah, totally wanted at the moment. Whatever. Just makes me even more badass..." she said with a smirk. Realistically though she knew she couldn't currently afford anymore trouble with the law. Going back to jail at the moment wouldn't be good, considering that she was actually needed her what with the constant influx of new girls.
Faith rolled her eyes as Buffy started rambling on about her nose being broken. It wasn't as if it hadn't already happened about a thousand times over. One would think she'd have gotten used to it by now. "B, I'm telling you right now. You will break your nose again. Just gotta deal" she said simply. She couldn't imagine breaking her nose as much as that girl did. "Besides, clearly Angel doesn't care. And isn't that all you're worried about? He still makes fucking puppy dog eyes at you, despite your ski ball nose." Ski ball would probably hurt her feelings but whatever. Faith was a brash person, she simply didn't understand that sometimes it was taken as actually being rude. Some people just needed to get thicker skin honestly.
Good god. Buffy simply wasn't going to let this shit go, was she? Clearly she should have just called them a couple, lie or not, to shut the woman up. As the other slayer went on Faith held her hand out and began to clamp it open and shut, as if she was mocking her talking so much. "Dude. You talk for days" she said with a laugh. "But seriously. I don't want to fucking date. Not him, or anyone else. That's you, not me. I'm way too damaged of goods for that shit" she said with another husky laugh. Despite this she couldn't help but feel a bit broken at even acknowledging it.
Completely floored by her next question, she piped up after a quick moment of silence. It'd taken her off guard. "Depends on who that 'someone' is" she said with a smirk. Deep down she would choose Spike, and they both knew it. Honestly Buffy could probably tell that without her even needing to say it aloud. Which, she didn't plan on doing.
