Madison Mackenzey Compassion Saxon put her sketch book, that she made look like the wood panelling of the TARDIS and her pencils and other things she needed in her Batman bag and she walked out of her bedroom. Maddie walked down stairs and pulled on her black leather jacket and her brown, tan, light blue and yellow and red scarf. She realized that she was themed today, besides her shoes and bag, her bracelet and her nails that she painted as different DC comic heroes. She never really intends to do it but lives to do it anyway.
Maddie decided to go for a walk, which was why she had grabbed everything. She knew that she would eventually stop and start drawing. She had been getting more visions, something that she hated now because she was back to the burning headaches and wanted to scratch her brain out. The one good thing was that Buffy new about it, about Maddie and she hoped that Buffy would become a good friend. She needed more friends, or at least people that she could talk to when she needed.
Maddie stopped walking when she reached the falls. She thought it was peaceful and only a few other people were around. That was nice. The sun was going down and Maddie wondered why she had always come out at night now. Maybe she had hoped that she would only see Gabriel at night, maybe she had stopped depending on him and started depending on someone else. That could be true to. Maddie didn’t know what to think anymore. Her life was just down the crapper and she didn’t know what to do about it.
Maddie pulled out her phone and her sketchbook and started working on one of the pictures, one of the visions of the future. The Spoiler visions.

Today was a day for exploring! After the first tenuous steps outside and away from his laptop Lady Love, Orion had begun really loving the outside world. People were still awkward; it wasn't as though fresh air fixed his horrible social skills, but the things he had seen. Parks and coffee shops, beaches and malls. But nothing compared to the gem he had found today. The Falls were stunning. Cascading water that earlier in the day entranced him in sparkling light still held his attention as the sun began to set. The shadows elongating over the falls themselves added to the hush the roaring water. It was peaceful, it was beautifully comfortable. And for the first time since leaving Miami, it felt like home.
Pulling his hat off his hat, Orion couldn't help himself but to laugh and ruffle through his hair. His boots had long since come off of his feet, socks and steel toed massive things sitting atop a nearby rock. He had managed to wriggle his way down to the base of the waterfall, wading in shin deep as the spray still misted him from about twenty feet away from ground zero. He had to look like a crazy person, not that he minded truly, yet the feel of the water swirling around him had his head through back with absolute joy. At least during this tween, few people still roamed about the landmark, hence the perfect timing for the angel to wade about and play.
Gazing up through blinking water out of his eyes, Orion spied a tiny redheaded shape wandering about up top with an exceptionally long scarf. Quirking a small smile, Orion braced himself up against a rock, still standing in the water. Giving his well-worn hat a good shake to dry off, before popping it roguishly back on his head. Climbing up onto the rock with little effort, he scooped up his socks and shoes. Taking the few minutes to put everything back on, Orion began making his face back up the rock face while favoring his bad leg.
Coming back up onto the beaten path a few paces away from her, Orion gave the little redhead artist a wave and a bright smile. "Hey. Pretty gorgeous here, isn't it?" He was aiming for friendly, voice light hearted and very Californian accented. His pants were soaked up past the knees, as if he had waded deeper before she arrived on the scene. He let his eyes fall unfocused for a moment to try and determine what the young woman before him was, but the hallmarks of her aura were something he had never seen before. With a mental shrug, all he could do was awkwardly grin.

Madison Mackenzey Compassion Saxon just sat there, drawing in her book. She stopped a moment and let out a sigh. She looked at her phone to make sure that she didn’t have any missed calls or text messages. The young ginger prophet didn’t feel like taking her phone off of silent mode. She didn’t really want to hear it ring at all. Maddie looked at the falls and she just stared at it thinking. She wondered what Gabriel was up to, what Raphael was up to. She knew that the older archangel was planning something horrible, planning something to bring about the apocalypse and the only ones who could stop it were the Winchesters and Buffy and her gang.
Madison looked over at a guy who was standing there. He was wet, like he had been walking in the water. She looked at him curiously. Something was off about him. She turned her head a little as she stared at him and she then looked down at her sketch book and she quickly closed it, not wanting the man to know who and what she was. She wasn’t sure if he was a demon or not, and being able to spot an angel only works if they act like one. This one not so much. He seemed more friendly. She couldn’t trust him though.
“yeah, it is.” Maddie said, realizing that she wasn’t really paying any attention to the scenery. She wasn’t sure what to say to him, still not knowing who or what this guy was.

"I'm… sorry. I'm interrupting you, aren't I?" Orion winced visibly, as he watched the curious young woman clamp her journal shut and give him a very bizarre and inquisitive look. It was guilt that had him swipe his hat off the perch of his head. Holding it at elbow height, he worried the poor thing between his hands in the classic motions of a man feeling remorse at bothering a lady without any due reasoning. The change in mood was fluid but at it's core completely honest. His brows furrowed as he ducked his head shyly; he would be rocking up onto the balls of his feet if he could trust his bad leg to hold him upright.
Taking a steadying breath and a stab in the dark with caution winding and all those other nonsensical turns of phrase, Orion blundered forward with the social grace of a colt with legs far too long for his body. An accurate description of the boy himself, ironically enough. "My name's Orion. And I don't mind leaving you to what you were doing Miss. I'm sorry I bothered you." Bowing his head in respect, he flourished his hat back up onto his head in a dextrous show of basic contact juggling.
What he wouldn't give for being slightly less bumbling. But his caustic and awkward manners always seemed to have this effect on people. He couldn't remember a time when anyone he met didn't immediately distrust him, and the weight of it fell very heavy on his shoulders. With said body parts sagging in defeat, Orion let his aura gently wash out to lap at her feet in a bizarre but effective mental visualization. It was at the least an apology, and the best he could muster with how badly he buggered up the rest of their exchange.

Madison Mackenzey Compassion Saxon looked up from her sketch book that she had just closed to the young man that was now with her. She still felt as if there was something that was really off about him. She couldn't place her hands on it. She just sat there and gave him a smile. He had then apologized to her for interrupting her. She shook her head. Maddie's didn't believe that at all. He was perfectly fine being there to and Maddie's could honestly make another friend, if only she wasn't so paranoid about everything.
"no, you're not interrupting me at all. I'm just sitting sitting here sketching is all." Madison smiled to him. She put on this little act, something that the young ginger prophet was good at. She had learned from the best, after all.
He had then introduced himself. She smiled. "I'm Madison, though please call me Maddie." Madison introduced herself back, politely. She shook her head again to his statement. he didn't have to go. What she was doing wasn't really that important. It wasn't like she was drawing something that was for the angels (well, sort of) she was just sketching something on her own, something that she wanted to draw without the angels telling her to ( again... Sort of). It was a picture of Gabriel that she had been working on along with a few others, being Buffy, Angel, the scoobies and Spike. Gabriel, however, was one of her favorite people or rather angels to draw.
"Like I said, I was just sketching. It wasn't really important." Maddie had assured the young man beside her. "so, you out here alone?" The young ginger prophet then asked curiously she really hoped that he didn't think she was being rude for asking something like that.

Orion perked up when she spoke, bright blue eyes shining and face eager. It was a person! Talking to him! Honestly wanting to and everything! When she smiled, he laughed softly, right hand coming up to rub at the back of his neck. "You sketch? That's really cool! I'm all thumbs when it comes to art." He didn't press to see anything, a trait only other artists usually possessed. He had known enough to pick up on how they as a whole usually liked to keep their work private until it was 'worth showing'. He felt the same way with his coding, so why pry when it would just be tacky and rude?
When she gave her name, Orion couldn't help but smile again. Bashful, while ducking his head in a sweet bob of respect. She was Giorgio, with that flame red hair she most likely didn't have a drop of Romani blood in her at all. But she reminded him of the stories of the Fair Folk, sprites and pixies had her features and his mind began to spin with fantastical tales. Her aura put him at ease, the bright white sparkles reminded her of those touched by the Divine at some intrinsic level. But for the life of him, he couldn't understand the How of it. "Maddie, then." He murmured softly, confirming the nickname and enjoying the feel of it dancing along his tongue.
Wandering back over, he found a perch atop a nearby rock; face visibly relaxing as he stretched out his right leg and absentmindedly rubbed at his knee and thigh. "Yeah, have been for awhile now. But I saw a pamphlet at my Hotel about this place and I had to check it out. I'm glad too, it looks like because of my curiosity I may have made a friend?" Again, his voice was easy going, body language absolutely open and friendly. He had nothing to lose for now, but that didn't mean he wasn't in danger. Clearly Maddie wasn't a threat, but whenever the angel got comfortable things got… interesting. Not that he ever remembered that.

Madison Mackenzey Compassion Saxon looked at the young man who was standing not far from her. She smiled to him when he said that it was cool that she sketched. “you can take a look if you want to. Just didn’t think that anyone would be interested.” Maddie shrugged. She looked over at the waterfall again and just stared at it. She wished that she wasn’t a prophet sometimes. It was a lot of work and head pain.
Maddie looked at him when she had introduced herself and he smiled. She nodded when he said her name back to her. “its nice to meet you, Orion.” Maddie said to him with a smile. Maddie looked at him as he started answering her question. She nodded. “it’s a nice place. Come here every so often. I like the scenery.” Maddie said to him with a smile. She then looked at him when he asked if he had made a friend. She nodded. “yeah, I think you have, if you don’t mind me asking a question, that is.” Maddie looked at him and wondered if he would say anything.
There was that thing that was still there that told her that there was something else about him. Madison just wanted to know what that was, not that she would judge when or if he told her. She wasn’t a judgemental person either. She had seen so much and knew so much that she didn’t judge people based on who and what they do, like Spike for example. Even Gabriel is a good example too.

Orion could not keep the bright smile off his face when she offered to let him see her sketchbook. As an artist, in his own backward hacker way, he knew what it meant. It wasn't just kindness, it was trust. And the fact that the little ginger trusted him made his heart swell beyond his own understanding. That one, small act of kindness immediately earned her his own trust and protection. No one, ever was hurting her. Period. "I would love to, thank you. I really appreciate it." Ducking his head shyly, he made his way over to her side limping only a little. His knee wasn't too stiff now that he was up and about, but tonight was going to be horrendous.
"Ask away, Maddie. I don't mind at all." Next to her, Orion noticed how tiny and precious she was, a small little slip of a thing that was actually quite pretty, if a little sad in the eyes. But her soul, that magnificent glowing soul of hers was a hearth fire to the Sin Eater. He could not get over the glow and feel of her Heart of Hearts, after so much corruption and darkness from others, hers was a balm that truly soothed his own Damned one. And at 6' 4" beside her, thanks to his heavy boots, the full 13 inches of height difference just made him want to both protect her even more and slouch a little. Feeling kind of like an awkward behemoth, Orion gave her a soft watery smile and took a soft breath. Waiting for the inevitable. Because whatever her question, he was willing to lay his soul bare for her without batting an eye.
Because she was the first person in all of Virginia to treat him like a person.

Madison Mackenzey Compassion Saxon smiled to him. She was still very unsure about him but he was nice enough. The young prophet always trusted her instincts even though people would think that she was crazy. Gabriel always told her it was the smartest thing to do. He also told her that her instincts were really reliable. She thought about him a lot lately, him and Spike. The two, and Dean and Willow seemed to be her only friends at the time, her cousins not counting because they are family. It was nice that she was meeting new people. She never really did though. Maddie was constantly moving and making friends was useless.
He told her to ask away. She felt kind of bad about this, like she would upset him but she was curious. She wondered if he could figure it out. “what are you? Your not completely human and I have two big things that pop into my mind and I don’t want to deal with either of them.” Maddie said referring to Angels and Demons. She didn’t want to deal with demons because well, that was a little obvious, her father being one and she didn’t want to deal with angels, besides Gabriel, because of Raphael and that mess. She hated to think about it because she could still feel the knife in her side. She was just grateful that Dean was there to help her and Gabriel. He had a good heart, that Dean Winchester. Maddie looked up to him, still hoping that he would answer her.
"sorry, just curious is all." Maddie then said to him.

And here it was. The question he was far from expecting but in the end couldn't seem to get away from. 'What'? It tended to come before 'Who' despite how often the pair played off one another. When she apologized, Orion just shook his head, holding up his hands palm outward in response. "No need to apologize. But it's a long story." A part of him was curious as to how the little ginger knew there was something up with him; but the soft sparkling of her aura made her special, and Orion was far from hypocritical when it came to anyone's unbeknownst preternatural tendencies. He didn't mind outing himself to her; maybe if he was lucky she'd do the same with him. Taking a deep breath to both settle his nerves and prepare for a rather lengthy explanation, Orion pushed forward with as much daring as the Rroma could muster.
"I was born human. Rromani, to be exact. Though most people call us gypsies. And after a series of rather awful things, I… well, I died. And ended up becoming The Sin Eater. I, well, Ascended. Though I think I still have my training wheels on these bad boys…" If he was lucky, she may have heard of some of that or even be able to piece together his awkward ramblings. If he wasn't, well he'd have to be more direct. But how do you tell someone that after you were disowned and had your heart shattered into a thousand pieces you hung yourself and made an angelic pact and now you have the proverbial Keys to the Kingdom and Perdition? It was certainly a complicated mouthful, and one he wasn't sure sat well with most people. "If me being me is a problem, Maddie, I don't mind going. I wouldn't dream of making you feel unsafe or bad or anything like that…" I've had enough of 'Make the redhead uncomfortable for one lifetime, thank you. I still need to apologize to Willow but how on Earth can you apologize for being yourself?

It was as he finished speaking that a faint vibration hummed from his vest pocket. Fishing out his Droid, Orion held up one finger as he stepped to the side. It was as politic as he could be while answering a text in the middle of a conversation; but quite frankly whenever his phone had a text, it was imperitive he answer immediately. And sure enough, it was one of his online contacts letting him in on an issue. 'They' were at it again; boycotting another soldier's funeral and spreading pictures of children displaying hate with innocent eyes. It was disgusting, and it was going to stop. Which meant, he needed his laptop. And some opera. And possibly a bottle of vodka. Tonight he went to war, and this particular Hacktivist was going full on, all out.
With a sympathetic look to Maddie, Orion ducked his head bashfully. "I am so sorry, but I need to go. This is... really important. But, here's my number and we should definitely stay in touch." Quickly scrawling his number on the back of an old piece of stockcard from his wallet, Orion passed the digits to the seer and once more tipped his hat in farewell before backpedalling towards the nearest public transport. "Bye, and sorry again..." before disappearing around a corner.
