-Willow/Buffy- An Unexpected Guest

"Really? I do it well? I never thought of that. Yeah that's true but you know it still affects my man pride," he laughed a little. He could remember when he was in high school and there was this one guy, what his name, he couldn't think of it but he knew the guy was a bully and Buffy the slayer she is defended Xander which angered him. Now looking back on it, he was glad Buffy was there even if it did look bad on him but she was being a good friend. He had actually wondered what his life would be if Buffy didn't come into town, considering there had been many death moments in his high school years.

"Oh god, mad Buffy is never good, I don't wanna feel her wrath." He knew that he was taking a big chance on coming here but he just had to. Yes, he did leave Dawn in Rome alone but that wasn't his intentions to do, he loved the kid and all but he needed to fight whatever it was coming with his friends and he wasn't changing his mind now. Dawn was back in Rome because Buffy thought it was dangerous here so right now Dawn was safe since no one knew where the slayer's sister was and they wouldn't go through great length just to go to Rome and get her, it wasn't possible. Dawn was safe and that was all that mattered. "Come here!" When Willow hugged him he picked her up and gave her a little shake and put her back down. "I know I give the best hugs," he smiled teasingly.

Xander took a few breaths to calm down, he knew he was just ranting on and he needed to save that for later, it was supposed to be a happy moment not bring everyone down. "OZ is back! What?! Wow, I can't believe it! How is my werewolf friend?" He hadn't seen Oz in forever and just hearing Willow saying he was back in town made him excited but maybe his excitement was too much. "Wait, how are you dealing with him being back in town Will?" He was curious to know if the redhead still had feelings for him and if she did then maybe it was a good thing not that he had a problem with her and Tara, he just missed the couple. Oz and Willow actually had so much and seeing them let go was pretty hard.

Xander heard a voice and he knew it was his blonde friend. He turned around and faced the blonde. "Don't I get a hug?" He knew he was in for it since he left Dawn but it was still nice seeing her though. "I guess I missed my Buff...and Will of course." He could feel the tension and he was just waiting for Buffy to ask about Dawn or lecture him about leaving but he really didn't want to talk about that right now, if there was a way to just make her not ask about anything, a way to avoid that subject, but how? Xander had to think of something and it had to be fast. It had to be clever and something just, ugh why was it so hard to think right now. He still had the ice cream in his hand, maybe that would make him think of something, that's when it hit him. "Ice cream?" Not the most clever thing he's ever said but it'll do.

Willow and Xander were having the best time right now, which was good because once Buffy got here it was going to get pretty serious. She really was going to be upset, but Willow couldn’t really blame her to why she would be mad. All those girls in Rome really did need to watched sometimes, and as much as he might get tired of it Xander really was the best guy for the job. He did a great job watching over the house and making sure the girls were safe, as well as training them. So in away Xander should be happy for how important he really is, back in the day he always saying how he felt like he was the weakest of the group. But who could blame him Buffy was a strong Slayer, Giles was a watcher, Oz is a was werewolf, and I was becoming a strong witch. She didn’t blame him if he felt that way who wouldn’t.

But to them Xander has always been very important, it wasn’t about how much power he had or what he could do. It was about him always being there and not giving up on them when they needed him most. Just like how he helped Save Willow from the darkness that was taking over her, she could have never made it threw that if it wasn’t for him. And for that on that day he was a true hero to them all.

He seemed just as shocked as Willow did when she found how Oz was back in town, she really wasn’t expecting to see him ether. But Willow was happier then ever that he was back with them. “Oz is doing ok been busy traveling a lot trying to tame his inner wolf. But it was really crazy when him and I talked, we brought a lot of old stuff to the surface if you know what I mean.” She stopped for a moment letting out a sigh. “But I’m doing ok I guess dealing and talk about it all, better then I though I would.”

Willow then heard Buffy it seemed as though she was back after a hard day of slaying, and by the look on her face she didn’t look so happy to see Xander. “hey Buffy look who is here for dinner, and you are just in time its almost done. Plus I’m making cookies for desert.” She was trying to make the situation as good as she could here, because she knew it was coming Xander was going to get an ear full of Buffy at any moment.

Knowing she should be furious at her brunette best friend a part of her couldn't help but be relieved that he was here. She quickly walked over and pulled him into a hug, squeezing him a bit tighter than she probably should have but not caring, knowing that if she was hurting him he would say something. Closing her eyes as she laid her head on his shoulder briefly, she took deep breaths trying to calm herself down. It had been an emotional couple of months and while if Xander knew what all had gone down she knew he would hate her, the fact that he was there and the group was back together was making her a tiny bit emotional. Hence the needing a few seconds to chill the hell out.

Realizing that she was indeed okay she pulled back, her eyes bright. "We missed you too...it's not the same without our Xan-Man." She told him with a smile, hoping he could see the sincerity in it. Sure she was a bit worried and a bit annoyed that he wasn't in Rome where he was supposed to be, but then again, maybe she was wrong? Maybe it was right that he was here. After all when had any of them ever been away when they were needed? They weren't. They had always been there to back the others up and so the fact that he had come here...while having not been on her say so...maybe it was the right thing...they just didn't know it yet.

Laughing at Xander's ice cream comment she rolled her eyes. "You may want to put that in the freezer before it melts genius." She told him, bumping his shoulder with hers in a playful manner. "So not that I'm not happy to see you, but what are you doing here?" She asked him, wondering if he was really there just to visit or if there was something bigger going on. She knew why Giles had come...to collect some artifact or something and then he had ended up staying because of the overall threat that was in Richmond as well as the neighboring town of Mystic Falls. She knew why Angel had come, hearing rumors of paranormal activity. She knew why Spike was here...well...actually okay she didn't know why Spike had come but then again Spike wasn't really talking to her at the moment so whatever.

Either way she knew that while happy to see her friend, she needed to make sure that nothing big was going on before they let their guards down and started the welcome to Richmond party that apparently Willow was throwing for Xander. Okay, so it wasn't a party...it was just dinner...but it was as close to a party as they were going to get at this rate since so many people came and went out of the boarding house recently. Either way she just wanted to make sure everyone and everything was okay before she settled down for the evening.

A slayer's job was never done.

The slayer gave Xander a hug and it just felt great to be in his best friend's arms. First Willow and now Buffy, just both of them being here at the same made him truly realize that he had missed him a lot, he had just hid it and pushed it at the back of his mind. Xander just wanted to be grown up and handle things on his own and he did for a while but then it just got worse. Dawn had left him to go to Richmond before and it felt empty in Rome but when she came back he still felt the emptiness and had wished he went with her. The hug was tight but it wasn't hurting him to say the least, it felt good. She pulled back first. "I see you still get that super strength."

Xander felt less tense after she called him Xan-man, he hadn't heard that name in forever and just hearing it brought back memories. He was glad to know that Buffy missed him though. Buffy was unpredictable still, you didn't know if she'd be angry or happy about something, at least with Willow Xander knew what was coming. He knew leaving Rome would be a little bit bad. To be honest it took him months to actually go through with it, at first he was set to go but then he remembered that he couldn't just leave Dawn alone knowing Buffy would kill him but after months of thinking he finally knew what he was going to do. Dawn was still a teenager but she was capable and she could be a strong leader so maybe him leaving was a good thing so then Dawn could finally be a leader without any of their help.

"Whoops," he laughed and went to the freezer to put the ice cream back. The good thing was that he didn't leave it out for too long but the bad thing was that he would have to come back later to take it out and have some more. "Well, Buff there's something coming...the big bad and I was in Rome and I didn't want to tell Willow alone but it's something big, I knew I had to come back to face whatever it was." He held for a dramatic pause. Xander started laughing a little. "I'm sorry I can't keep a straight face. Does there have to be a reason? I missed my slayer and witch. I dunno I just kind of felt lonely without you guys. You two are my best friends and when you guys left I realized how much you two mean to me. Nothing's the same without the gang!" He said in a deep voice.

"Is dinner almost ready? I'm starved." He went to the stove to look at what Willow was cooking. "I still can't believe you guys cooked. And Buff I hear you made some bread, I'm surprised you didn't burn it and all that funness," he said teasingly. It was funny how Xander walked in the door and things could still be the same, nothing weird or awkward, it's like they had never been separated. "Oh, Buffy I actually have to tell you something important but I'm not sure if I should wait or...not, should I tell her about that thing Will?" He was obviously referring to Anya and he didn't want to tell the whole house about it during dinner. "I can wait till later unless we're eating with the whole house." He knew Buffy needed to know, she was his best friend, he wasn't going to leave her in the dark it wasn't right.

Buffy wasn’t as mad as she could have been, she actually was really happy to see Xander. Which was good she wanted everyone to get along, she really didn’t feel like fighting. “Yeah Xander you might not what that to melt. I’m so happy that we are all together again, dinner is going to be so great." But then Buffy had asked him something that had her thinking the same thing. Why was he there? She really hoped he wasn’t going to tell them that something was wrong, it now had willow shaking in her boots. But she was right to be shaking it seemed as though something was on its way to Richmond, but what else was new it seemed something bad was headed somewhere. She was glad that Xander didn’t tell her alone other wise she might not have been able to take it as well with out Buffy.

But then she had found out that it all have been a joke, she should have known that Xnader was messing with them all along. “What you made all that up! You jerk that’s not funny!” She said while hitting him trying not to laugh herself. It was kind of a nice joke she couldn’t lie, but with all they had gone threw lately they really didn’t need it. “Ok Xander that was a good joke you really had us I will give you that, but come on you don’t know what we have been going threw recently. “ She then went in again for a big hug. “We miss you to Xander and its great that you are here” Willow then walked back over to finish up making there dinner.

It almost was ready and she couldn’t wait all this excitement had made her hungry, plus she knew dinner was going to be crazy fun with him home. “Relax guys Dinner will be done soon, it going to be so good it been cooking all day.” She then turned looking at the tired Slayer. “And Buffy I cant wait to try the bread that you made its going to be soon good! Wait till you try my cookies I made.”

Then she knew what Xander was talking about when he said he had to tell Buffy something. She knew that Buffy needed to know and soon. To the point Willow really didn’t think they should wait till dinner. Buffy might not love the idea of her Willow knowing longer then she did. “No I think you should just tell her that now, its kind an important thing you know Xander. I mean it about some back from the dead in all.” She said with a sarcastic giggle. She knew that Buffy was going to be in shock when she heard about this, Willow was pretty surprised herself when she found out. But at the same time she was so happy to hear she alive.

The blonde laughed at Xander's comment about super strength while shrugging her shoulders. "Eh, not something that I think ever really goes away. We all know how much I don't like to sweat or anything so it's not like I'm hitting the gym five days a week to keep these." She stated, flexing her tiny muscles. It was clear from her petite frame that if they didn't all know how strong she was then no one would ever think that she could do the things she was able to do. Even her muscles, while there, were extremely tiny which secretly the blonde was happy about as she thought muscular women were creepy looking.

She quirked an eyebrow when Xander started talking about the big bad. Something wasn't right...something didn't add up. When he started laughing she rolled her eyes with a smile, knowing that he was simply joking around. That was just Xander's M.O...so him joking about a big bad didn't surprise her at all. Actually it gave her a sense of relief and once it did she was able to relax, her pose straightening into a more casual one instead of her typical 'protector' pose as she had been.

Kicking off her pink Old Navy flip flops and setting her purse down she took a mock bow about his comment about the bread before rolling her eyes again. "Hey now! I cooked us that damn good Thanksgiving dinner a couple years ago." She stated with a fake pout, crossing her arms and pushing out her bottom lip. "Are you saying that I'm not good enough to cook dinner? I mean hell during Thanksgiving I fought the bad guys AND we had a good meal. I know you had syphilis at the time but geez didn't think you'd forget about it that quickly." She stated before finally letting out a giggle, showing that she really wasn't upset.

"Nah, in all actuality I simply bought a loaf of frozen bread and stuck it in the oven, then left so Willow could take it out when it was done. We all know I don't have the patience to sit around and wait for bread to be done." She informed him. It was definitely true though, she was not the type of person who liked to sit around the house and wait for things to come about…she much preferred the doing than the waiting. And thankfully she didn’t say that last thought out loud as it sounded a lot different in her head.

Quirking an eyebrow at her two best friends she looked from face to face, then hearing the red-heads comment about people coming back from the dead she sighed. "Alright, what's going on? And somebody better tell me fast before I lose my patience...and we all know how well that tends to go over." She told them, her eyes clearly showing she was serious. She didn't like being out of the loop and apparently it was serious, so she made it abundantly clear someone should fill her in...

And fill her in soon.

"Trying to show off Ms, Summers?" Buffy was strong no doubt and strength came to her easily, she was an amazing girl. Xander would have to go to the gym to get fit but considering he had demons to slay and struggled with it, now that was a workout. He wondered how Buffy did it all these years, stayed fit but he guessed a slayer was just automatically fit and would be forever fit no matter what they ate. They obviously had some magic in them and they should be passing around this magic but Xander ate what he want all the time anyway and he was still good.

"C'mon, I'm a funny guy," he laughed a little. He liked joking about things every so often so then everybody could lighten up and just enjoy it. He knew that in this situation it would be fine and all great. "You guys have been through a lot?" He raised an eyebrow. "Whats been going on around here?" He knew he didn't get a straight answer from Willow so maybe Buffy could fill in the holes a little or just tell him later on. He didn't like being left out of the loop but he was used to it, yes he still got angry but he didn't fret over it all of the time.

"Oh god, don't remind me. Syphilis the worst thing to catch. Never again will i fall into a native burial ground. Can you say Multitask? Good dinner and a good fight! Even though I barely did anything." That night was intense with all of the things that were happening and especially the syphilis, he felt horrible and then seeing Angel and then ruining it by telling Buffy. She wasn't too happy about that and the gang wasn't either that he blabbed but could you blame him? He had a disease! Buffy did make a good dinner considering what happened and everyone loved it. "I shall never mock your cooking skills."

"And here comes the mocking," he teased lightly. "That's true you were always to type to do many other things, watching bread would be quite boring. You aren't the patient type." Buffy was never patient with anything but her being impatient led them all the victory numerous times even against the first. The only thing she was patient about was the whole Angel thing when he turned evil and started killing. He couldn't blame her though, now that he had seen what it could really do to a person. Anya turned into a demon again and killed people so he could actually relate a little but Angel had no soul, still the same thing though!

"I guess it's serious time now huh? Well, as you know I came back to you know live with you guys since I missed you. The thing is I came back actually last night but stayed in a motel which will be another story for another day. I thought the logical thing to do was find you guys by going to the cemetery because you know Slayer and witch hunt down vamps and kill em but when I went there I found someone...else. The girl was standing before me and she was flesh and she was everything that I used to have. At first I thought it was the first but it's her, she's back and herself. Buffy...I found Anya." He wondered how she would take this and if she was okay with it but he didn't know and hopefully she would take this news well. His friend was unpredictable so really anything could happen.

It really was a relief to know that Xander was there and nothing bad was going on, they could actually relax and have some fun for once. Something they all were in need for, well Buffy and Willow were anyway, it been crazy the whole time they first moved into town. First they had to deal with Kennedy going mad kidnapping Dawn, then it was Angel coming back then later losing his soul. Plus having to train all the potentials on top of that, it has been just non stop crazy the whole time they had been there. So It was nice to hear from Xander that everything was ok. For the moment anyway.

Willow begin to take the dinner off of the stove and started to set the table, she giggled when she over heard Buffy bring up there passed Thanksgiving dinner. “Hey Buffy I didn’t forget that dinner, the food was so good how could I?” It really was a good dinner, even though there was just a lot of craziness that went along with it. “Man that night was nuts, with Xander being really sick, Spike tied to a chair, people trying to kill us, and then Angel showing up. There was just way to much going on so fast, I couldn’t process it all. So your meal was the best thing out of that whole night. But I will tell you one thing, I will always remember that thanksgiving. I‘m sure Giles will to we really messed up his house”

She begin to put Buffy’s whole made bread on the table right when she said that it wasn’t whole made, she looked at the bread then back at Buffy as she set it down. “Well it’s the thought that counts, so to us it will be like whole made.” She then paused for a moment, looking like she was hiding something. “And I cant lie I might have had some magic help with my cookies as well, you are right Xander I’m not the worlds best cook.” She said looking at him with a guilty smile.

Willow wondered why they had not ran into Anya yet? They were always in the cemetery patrolling, well Buffy was a lot anyway. She couldn’t help thinking about how she was even back? It seems nothing but strange things have been going on in this town. It then made her wonder who was going to come back from the dead next? “Xander so when you found her what happened? I mean what you do what you say? I know you had to be in shock to see her, I know I would have been.” She really was happy for Xander that he had found her, she remember how much he really loved her. Which was why she wanted to know what had to be going threw is mind.

Snickering she shook her head. "Nah, if I wanted to show off I'd go and do a handspring or something off the balcony." She stated with a laugh, remembering all the times she had in fact done things like that in the old Sunnydale High School library. She could easily remember trying to not so much show off to Willow, Xander and Giles but...okay, so she was totally trying to show off. She couldn't deny it to herself...however that didn't mean that she wouldn't deny it to everyone else until she was on her death bed. Yeah, she had a tiny bit of pride left that she wanted to keep for as long as she could. It wasn't much but it was there…at least she thought so every once in awhile.

Hearing his question she shrugged, doing everything possible to keep herself from cutting her eyes over to Willow to tell her in no uncertain terms to keep quiet. "Not much really. Same old same old. Sent a few potentials to Rome a couple days ago. Have been training a few here. Waiting for a couple of the Watchers to finish the academy so they can take over training. Faith, Spike, Angel, and Vi are all running around town somewhere." She stated, quickly adding Angel's name in the middle to maybe get one over Xander's head so he didn't make a huge deal out of it. "The cops in this town are on the other side of the word 'extreme'. You know how Sunnydale cops didn't know jack about anything that went on? Well the cops here are a bit to 'in the know'" She told him. "I'm talking walking around with guns that are filled with wooden bullets...that's how 'in the know' they are." She told him. "So be careful if you go out at night."

Hearing Xander's story about Anya her eyes widened. "Wait...what?" She asked him, clearly confused. "So she was brought back? How? Why? Huh!?" She asked, her mind going over the many people who had started popping up from beyond the grace. Turning to Willow she quirked an eyebrow. "That makes two of our people who have come back...Tara and Anya. Who the hell is next?!" She asked, leaning up against the wall behind her and hitting her head against it once, then leaving it lay there. She really had no idea what was going on but clearly something was coming, and if she could guess she would say something larger than the First...
And that thought scared her more than she would ever admit out loud.

Hearing Willow’s question she nodded, wanting the same answers as well. However while Willow wanted to know the relationship part of it, she wanted the technical knowledge. She wanted to know if Anya was brought back human or a demon. Tara was brought back as a witch, just as she had been when she had been killed. However Anya had been a human when killed yet she had been a demon for over a thousand years…and had switched off and on a couple of times since then…so which was she? She hated to ask, but she really needed to know.

“I hate to ask Xan…but…is Anya a vengeance demon again…or was she brought back human?” Wincing at the words. She really didn’t like asking, but she had to know not only for her own knowledge…but for Anya’s protection. She had told everyone that people in this town knew too much but she doubted they understand the danger in it…so she had to make sure to keep them all safe.

It was after all…her job.

You mean all this time you've been lying to me Will,"" he pretended to act shocked and gasped. God, he missed this, this was probably the first time since forever they could act this way. He loved joking with his friends and it kind of made him feel happier. He was still thinking about Anya but being here with Buffy and Willow, he felt safe and felt like he needed them right now. If he had seen Anya in Rome then he would have no one to talk to besides Dawn but she was a teenager so she wouldn't be that much help in the love area. He was just glad that things were normal and right now nothing big was happening.

"Calm down Buffy. We aren't sure why she's back and how she is. Long story short, she poofed into Sunnydale and then tried to find...well us." He tried to explain in a short sense which was hard but that's all he could think of. He wanted to say more but he couldn't believe she was alive so he couldn't say more. He wanted to know more but right now he didn't know where she was, he knew that she was somewhere in Richmond and would come here at some point. He had hoped she was safe and wasn't in danger.

"Well, I guess we talked. I said I...missed her and she called me an idiot for asking why she was at a cemetery. You know she's still scared of bunnies? I mean after death you'd think she'd be done with that fear but nope." A lot was said that night and he couldn't really say a lot of it to them, yeah he loved his friends and trusted them, but somethings were better kept. Buffy had her secrets with Angel all the time, and she couldn't deny that. There was also Willow with Tara but Willow kind of had a valid reason since she was going through major changes. He just felt comfortable if he didn't share every little detail.

"Okay, obviously I'm missing something here. Did you just say Spike and Angel? And the cops are actually smart here? Looks like I've been living under a rock." No one informed him about any of this. Okay, they didn't have to inform him about the cops since he wasn't there at the time but Spike and Angel, that was some stuff he definitely wanted to know. He wondered why his friends haven't told him about of it but maybe they had a valid reason. Xander wanted to know and he wanted to know now. He seriously didn't understand why they didn't mention it before, was Xander some bad guy or something?

Xander knew that question would be brought up, it was kind of one of those questions that Buffy had to ask. "Don't worry Buff, I get it you're the slayer and you need to know. She's human, no demon or anything." He was happy that Anya wasn't a demon because it meant she could live a human life again and she wouldn't have to harm anyone. When Buffy and Anya fought, well that was just so hard to watch, his best friend and his ex. He was in a position where he had to route for one which he didn't but he didn't understand why Buffy had to kill her until she mentioned the Angel thing. To be honest Xander still didn't understand and wanted to warn Anya, love made people do weird things though right?

"So, we gonna talk more about this or are we gonna get are grub on, if you know what I mean." He was hungry and all he wanted to do was joke around with his friends while eating, he didn't want to have this serious conversation, maybe later on when he was ready for it but for now he was content with just talking normally. For one night he just wanted to have a conversation without demons or vampires. He just wanted to eat, talk, and sleep. He had hoped that they could have a nice conversation, he didn't want anything to get heated.

Willow then realized that she had been so happy seeing Xander she forgot to tell him everything, she should have told him about Tara he was her best friend after all. They told each other everything, and when Willow means everything she means it, she called Xander on the first day she even became a woman. Even though he didn’t want to know she told him anyway, Being a young kid he just though it was eww. But now that she looks back she feels dumb for even telling him that at all. But when you are a kid you do dumb things like that, like dating a guy who rips the head off your Barbie. “I’m sorry Xander I should have told you about Tara, I was just so happy to see you I kind forgotten. She isn’t here right now anyway, she is busy with work in Los Angles.” She said stopping for a moment missing her girl.

“But yeah we have no idea how she is back, we still are looking into it. Maybe it’s the same way Anya is back?” Willow did want to know how the heck she was just back all the sudden, it really was wild how everyone was just coming back like nothing had happened. She then wondered why she had not came to see any of them yet, I mean Willow knew that they were completely on her besties list, but she knew that Anya did give a crap about them. They did fight the hell mouth together after all, she it made her want to know what the deal was there. “So Xander when are we all going to get to see Anya again, she does want to see us right? I mean she has missed up hasn’t she?”

Willow wasn’t even going to say anything about Spike and Angel, she knew how he felt about them. And he didn’t think very highly of them, she knew that he never will ether. It was crazy about the cops in this town though, they all knew everything that was going on. Everyone carried things like they were trying to be vampire Slayers, but it was nuts that they actually thought they had the ability to even take down a vamp. The cops have no idea really what they are up against, she wondered how many of them actually get them self’s killed trying to take them on. “Yeah isn’t it nuts Xander we have a bunch of cops thinking they are like Slayers or something, this town really is crazy. It a whole lot different then Sunnydale.”

Willow then realized they had been talking so much she forgot all about the food, and she pretty much had the table all ready to go. “Oh Yeah we were talking so much I forgot all about it, yes its all ready to go when can eat when ever you guys are ready to. I know Buffy has to be hungry after a long day of Slaying, right Buffy?” She said looking at the blond Slayer.

Wanting to say more but having no idea what to say she was almost relieved when her phone rang from the other room. “Hold that thought.” She told her two best friends and stood up from where she had sat down at the kitchen table and headed towards the living room in order to find her purse. She could feel a headache coming on but refused to think about it, knowing that if she did she ‘d want nothing more than to go to bed and she really didn’t have time for that unfortunately. She didn’t want to let her friends go on and have fun without her, though with her life that was always possible.

Finding her purse (which somehow had fallen in between the couch cousins which was odd) she pulled out her phone and was fairly surprised when she noted she had five text messages and three missed calls. She had only heard her phone the one time so this was a bit alarming to her especially when she noted that they were all from Stacy, who was a slayer who had graduated the slayer school only a month before Buffy had come to Virginia. Quickly dialing her voice mail she heard all she needed before hanging up and heading back into the kitchen where her two best friends were waiting for her.

“Hey, I got to bail. I feel bad but Stacy is in North Carolina and apparently there is a nest of demons that she can’t handle by herself. I’m going to take a day or two to help her and then I’ll be back and we will finish this discussion.” She told them, quickly leaning down and hugging Willow and then kissing Xander on the forehead. “There are plenty of rooms around here so pick one and have at it. Also just a warning, Spike and Angel are both here so beware and try not to cause too many fights…got it?” She asked him playfully before running up the stairs and grabbing her bag that she kept packed for emergencies. It didn’t have much, just a few changes of clothes and a couple stakes. However it worked well for situations such as this.

Heading back downstairs she called out to Willow to let everyone know she’d be back before walking outside and jumping into her car to head the couple hours drive to North Carolina. She didn’t want to leave but unfortunately her job was never done.

It seemed as though Buffy had a call that she just had to take, but what else was new some was always trying to get a hold of her. She was a busy girl after all, it sad really that she never gets a break from this crazy thing that they have called life. Willow knew that it was ether Giles or Angel, she was sure there was some kind of crisis going on somewere. The real questions is was she going to need Willow and Xander’s help? Was this a start to a new mission? She hope so I could be fun seeing how the gang was now fully together just like old times again.

It seemed as though Stacy had needed help, a Slayer that they had all worked with time and time again. “Its fine Buffy if you have to go then go I totally understand, Xander and me will have dinner and catch up on a few things ok. You just worry about helping her and we will be here when you get back ok.” The witch said with a smile to the Slayer. Willow knew that she didn’t need any help with this case, Stacy was a pretty good Slayer. She knew that with Buffy’s help they would take care of it no problem. Willow hugged her back before she left telling her to be safe, even though she knew she really didn’t need to tell Buffy that. She knew that she couldn’t handle herself just fine, but a little part of Willow still worried for her friend.

She heard Buffy call from down stairs letting everyone now she be back. “Ok Buffy be safe." She then looked over at Xander with a smile. “Just like old times huh, well what you say we eat some dinner then play a bored game.” And they did just that, Willow and Xander eat all there dinner then played games while watching a movies. It really was just like old times, she was so happy that Xander was back there with him. She just hoped it was going to be for awhile.
