- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Quirking an eyebrow she gave the man a pointed look. "I'm Buffy." She stated simply, not really knowing what the hell this man was fighting with Spike for. Then again, it was Spike so god knows who started the damn fight in the first place...though if she had to wager a guess she'd say Spike. As much as she cared for the blonde vampire that didn't mean that she didn't know him well enough to know that he had a temper. Add to that how well she actually did know him, she could usually tell you that it was him that started the altercations.
Rolling her eyes at the unknown man's comment about sharing something too she turned to look at Spike and realized for the first time that he was in full vampire visage. She had gotten so used to seeing it on Spike as well as Angel that it didn’t usually phase her when she saw it...in fact she rarely noticed it at all. Realizing what he was insinuating she shook her head. "Nope, not a vampire." She told him before shrugging. "Though I could take one down quite easily." She stated, throwing a glare towards the blonde. "Isn't that right Spike?" She asked him with a smirk.
She knew she sounded bitchy but it had been a long couple of weeks and add to that the fact that really no one was speaking to her (well, people were, just not those who she truly wanted to be speaking to her) and now he seemed to be put out that she was there. “Now do I have to separate you two boys or can we behave like the adults that we are all supposed to be?” She asked, her hands folded over her chest now, tapping one booted foot on the pavement.
"I didn't know I was supposed to call you Spike..." She stated, trailing off. "Not like you've exactly been beating down my door to talk to me anyway. You made your opinion quite clear the last time we spoke, or was the slamming of the door not the subtle 'fuck you' that I imagined it to be?" She asked him bluntly, in no mood for the usual banter that they would get into. She knew she had made a mistake but she refused to get pulled into a verbal sparring match.
Quirking an eyebrow at the enraged vampire as he did some weird 'defending her honor thing' she then rolled her eyes when he told her to mind her own business. "Now when have I ever done that?" She asked him before turning her attention back to the unknown man. "So I'm Buffy, this is Spike...are we at least going to get a name from you?" She asked him, having no idea if either of them had introduced themselves to the other or not...but she figured she would at least start with pleasantries...having no idea how it would end.

And then the fangs, the mirror clue. Vampire... Well shit. Those people were not kidding. Back when he was fighting over seas he had saved a small family, he was taking them back to base, but they were a long way away. At night the mother would speak of a legend, she said was real, but Micheal needed more convincing, about a Vampire. There were a few names mentioned, but Micheal hardly cared to listen. Though the stories sounded more real then fake. He was not sure why, but many many people warned Micheal about such things as Vampires, Wolfs, Hybrids, the whole thing. Oh course no one once said anything about aliens. Which he found pretty amusing. But it all made sense now. Clearly if Alines were real, why not vampires? Wolfs? Witches? Demons? ect. It was still a little hard to believe. But well, that was all prof he needed. Right there in front of him. "Well that's a twist I did not see coming." He added with a small chuckle. That poor family was right, and he remembers giving them a small amount of hell for saying such dumb shit. Not like he'd ever see them again.
Micheal just shook his head at the women. Shit. Who the fuck was she? Why was she here, and what the fuck. But the two were in some kind of lovers quarrel? Clearly there were some hard feelings here, maybe an ex-girlfriend of some kind? A stalker maybe? Who knew. All Micheal knew was he did not want to get in the middle of that one. Hell has no fury like a woman scorned, thats for dang sure. He had to but once be on the receiving end of one of Maria's freak out's and it was all over for him. And by the looks of this chick, she knew how to kick some ass and take some names. Shit. Yeah, he'd back away slowly arms raised if he had to.
"I don't do I?" Micheal asked brining his hand up a small amount. Had Micheal got tired of the guys mouth he'd just blast him against that wall again. Had he been that annoying Micheal would set something on fire in front him to block his mouth out or something. Stupid people...erm vampires. Buffy? What the fuck was a Buffy. He knew that was her name, but shit.... was she some kind of creature too, who named their kid Buffy? that was a name he'd never herd before, shit. Her next comment, he really wanted to say something to her about it. They were adults, and they were acting like it A little fight never herd anyone, until they realized that the other was not human. But still. They were very much acting like adults, adults who wanted to knock someone silly for a moment to forget their troubles, whatever trouble it may be. So who was she to question his manhood, or whatever it was she was questioning. He knew dang well what he was doing, and he knew the consequences. and he'd accept them with open arms. How was that not adult? He did not go into this blindly. So again who was she to say anything. Dang.
He just looked at her. He almost wanted to up and leave without another word. Just like SEE YA BITCHES! But by the looks of it, would be a bad idea. "Does it matter?" Micheal asked. Did they really have to know his name? Not like he'd every see that Spike guy again... and AGAIN with the fucking name. Who the hell names their child Spike? Really? Anyway if he was a vampire, which he clearly was, then he could not walk around in the sun. He might run into the Buffy chick later, but she'd have half a mind to say something to him. "I was just out here for a quick fight... I don't want to get between you two." He said looking to Spike, really. Vampires. good god. Max would throw a shit fit once he found one. He'd have to be careful and keep it from Maria, or god forbid she'd have a heart attack. She was already dating an alien, last thing she needed was to find out that all the things that go bump in the night were real too. Yeah no. He was not going to get in the way of the two of them.

The vampire only gave a slightly sour look to Buffy’s second glare at him. Was that supposed to be a threat? A type of way to say “Down boy, or you’ll get your nose swatted with a newspaper?”. Her smirk seemed to say as much. He knew that compared to THE Slayer, he would be second rank, but ‘quite easily?’ Such a thing wasn’t so, not for him. Well, perhaps it depended on how angry she had become. Anger seemed to be something that Slayers tapped into and fed off of like how vampires gained power with certain kinds of blood. But he understood the intent and hopefully the stranger understood that Buffy wasn’t your average petite blond. He did feel an urge to send some scathing remark her way when Buffy demanded diplomacy. She didn’t seem to want to talk it out that night in the motel, all screaming fury and back handing him and all. Spike had started it, but he could tell that she had wanted to let go of reason and take out her frustrations. The Slayer probably didn’t mean to sound so self-righteous, so Spike wasn’t going to point out the slight hypocrisy. Instead, he could feel his teeth grind together as Buffy explained why she hadn’t bothered to contact him. Giving a small groan of frustration, Spike attempted to reply with some kind of counterargument, ”That wasn’t…” about you at all. ”I just…” couldn’t stand there and listen to Angel talk about that. ”I’m…” sorry. Oh, for God’s sakes, William, get a hold of yourself and speak sentences! There was no time for such a thing anyway, not with an unidentified potential threat standing across the way, potentially able to blow both Spike and Buffy off of their feet with some kind of explosion power. Well, at least that was one way to end an argument—not being able to bloody well speak. The strange man, that was the important thing here. Spike’s gaze shifted back to the bloke, who threatened him with another blast after Spike had told him to lay off the Slayer. The vampire didn’t really want to tempt the guy, so he only gave a small shrug and mentioned, ”Two against one, mate. I wouldn’t play those odds.” At least, Spike thought it was two against one. Maybe Buffy would get a kick out of him being thrown into a wall. Spike went back to listening and smoothing out his duster a bit as Buffy introduced the both of them and asked for the man’s name. Which he didn’t give, of course. Really, it did matter, considering the whole ‘protect the Earth’ Champion deal that both he and the Slayer were bound to. He would leave that for Buffy to say, if she wanted to say it. It just sounded better coming from her. She had more practice at it and all. But when the man sounded as if he wanted to leave the Slayer and him to work things out, Spike spoke up again with a low snarl in his voice, ”There’s nothing to get in between. Now, I think we can skip the whole ‘more things in Heaven and Earth’ bollocks and you can tell us what the hell you are, since we were so nice to share.”+++ TAGS: Buffy, Michael WORD COUNT: 550 NOTES: This thread makes me giggle so much :3

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She could see the fight or flight instinct in this guys’ eyes taking over and she knew she had to attempt to diffuse the situation. Realistically she knew she should just grab Spike and get out of there but at the same time she had to know who...or more importantly what this guy was. She had to know if he was a danger to those she had vowed to protect. She was trying to go about this diplomatically as she wanted to avoid anymore conflict if she could but this guy honestly reminded her of...she wasn't sure what. He was obviously a loose cannon, though she didn't know him well enough to make that an official stance, but from what she could see she was definitely seeing that he was a tiger ready to pounce.
"I usually like to know who is beating up on my friends. As for getting in between the two of us...you're not. We were fighting before you got here so really you're saving me from fighting with him. We always did work better on the same side." She told him, shooting Spike a glance to know that while yes she knew they were having issues right now, she would always back him up and she hoped he felt the same way. They had gotten a lot closer over the years (and no, she wasn't counting when they had been sleeping together) and she hoped he realized that he was honestly one of her best friends. Most people would find it strange but to her it was comfortable and she didn't want to lose that...no matter what stupid things either one of them did.
"Make you a deal." She told him, walking over so she was standing next to Spike, showing a united front while at the same time relaxing her pose as to seem more casual. She was still ready to fight if need be, though she was trying to avoid it...yet she wanted to give the illusion of being casual. "Let's play twenty questions. You ask a question, I'll give you a straight up answer...but the same goes in return. As long as you promise you're not here to harm anyone this can work out to all of our benefit." She told him, though knowing she was playing with fire. He could promise all he wanted and as soon as they turned around it could bite them in the ass. However not knowing what he was in the species category put them at a huge disadvantage. If he was a warlock or whatever a male witch was called that meant he was human and she couldn't kill him.
Didn't mean if he tried to hurt them that she wouldn't hurt him back...badly.

Two against one... just like he thought. "Eh... I'm not worried." He responded. "I got plenty more where that came from." He added with a shrug. "I'd hate to mess up the pretty blonde hair and all... But if I have..." He said looking to the blonde. Really... if he had to he would, but he was not planning anything with her. Clearly she was some kind of supernatural something or other... who was fucking a vampires... creepy. But he'd let that go. Still he had no beef with her. She had done nothing to him, so he'd rather not mess her up. Really he was ready and able to blast anything at a seconds notice. His body was in protection mode, and there was nothing Micheal could do to get himself to relax, besides remove the threat....whatever that was. The guy or the guy? He still was not sure which he should be worried about. He was not up to date on his supernatural myths. So he was not sure what this vampire could do, was he the sparkling kind, or the Dracula kind or 3000 million other kinds of out there. Man this day was a shit more complicated then he wanted it to be.
Micheal chuckled at her 20 questions comment. "I like your style." He said knowing where she was going with this. But he was still not sure he wanted to take it that far. He could not trust them, and having his gift a secret was the only thing protecting himself right now. He looked like a human, and for all the knew he was a human, who could blast people. "Look I still don't know who you are... but I'm not trying to hurt anyone... with the exception of erm... Spike... " He said. "But it was a fair fight... or it would have been." Micheal reassured them. It should have been, but the guy had to add a little vampire strength to it, so Micheal protected himself. "I wont say I'm going to answer all your questions... but you got my attention." He added. So long as they kept to their side of the ally way he'd keep to his side. It was pretty simple really. He just wanted some answer, and then maybe he'd open up a little. But being a vampire was on thing... being a little green man from a far off planet was another. Of course he was far from green, but that's what people would think of him. And so help him god if that Spike guy said something about a little green man, it would be OVER.

The stranger threatening Buffy made a spark of anger flick across Spike’s face, but he didn’t say anything, considering that he knew the Slayer would be able to take anything that was thrown at her by this poof. The man still hadn’t given any information, and Spike was starting to wonder if he and Buffy would be forced to thrash it out of him, but he would hold on, despite not really wanting to. After all, the stranger had said he had lots of those hand explosions, and if the vampire could avoid another one of those, he’d be saved one really bad headache. Listening to Buffy half air all of their problems to the stranger was a bit uncomfortable for Spike, but he supposed that it had been pretty apparent anyway. However, the look she gave him made him calm down, though he still had a slightly irked look on his face. Mostly because the lout he had just been fighting was still looking on and he didn’t need to know that Buffy still pretty much could pull the vampire’s strings any which way she wanted most of the time. But Spike understood what the glance and her words had meant and when she moved to stand next to him, it only reinforced that point. He was pretty quiet as Buffy tried to strike her deal, wondering if they would be completely offended if he made to have a smoke. Well, considering the man’s bizarre objections to alcohol, Spike wasn’t so sure he could, and so he held off, even if he really wanted something to do besides stand there looking pretty. Or not so pretty, as he recalled he was still in ‘game-face’ mode. Well, perhaps it was best to stay that way and remind the bloke that he was dealing with something beyond his normal frame of reference. To the stranger’s quip about not hurting anyone besides the vampire in front of him, Spike rolled his eyes a bit and replied after he claimed it wasn’t a fair fight, ”Hey, I don’t have any of your Darth Vader force powers. Tell me how that’s fair.” Yeah, it was true that Spike may have gotten a little worked up and punched him across the alley, but it wasn’t as if he could do that again, considering the guy could just throw him away with a blast of his hand. And it seemed that the man bit at the Slayer’s deal and was being the gentleman, letting Buffy have the first question, so there wasn’t a reason to fight anyway. The vampire’s eyes shifted over to Buffy, letting her deal with the negotiations, since it was her idea in the first place. +++ TAGS: Buffy, Michael WORD COUNT: 453 NOTES: Letting the Slayer do the talking...

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She could see by the stance of this unknown man's body that he didn't see her and Spike as a threat. Little did he know that between the two of them that they could easily overtake him...no matter what powers that he had. Sure she really didn't know what or who he was...but Spike and her made a pretty damn good team. The only two that came close to being a better team than the two of them were her and Angel. Even Buffy and Faith were only level to Spike and the blonde slayer, but didn't surpass them. Between the training they had done together and the fights in general that they had gone through together, they knew each other’s moves almost as well as her and Angel did…and that was saying something.
Touching her hair when he stated something about blonde hair she made sure (without her knowledge of doing so) that her hair wasn't actually messy before dropping her hands to her side...not having any idea that she had just proved his stereotype about blondes and their hair. Sure she might not be the typical blonde but she was still a typical girly girl for the most part and that meant not wanting her hair to get messed up.
Laughing a bit about his comment about liking her style she shrugged, trying to look modest but not able to fight her large grin. "Yeah well, I try." she stated before nodding her head, taking in what he was saying. "Alright, so you're not here to hurt anyone. As for the fight with Spike...I can't promise it would have ever been a fair fight as he can't exactly turn off his strength so to speak. I mean, he can use less force but it's still there. So yeah, anyway..." She stated before shaking her head, knowing if she didn't stop herself she would go off on a tangent and that was the last thing she wanted to do at the moment.
"Alright, so you clearly know what he is...as for me...I'm human...just with a tad bit of supernatural strength thrown in to make sure others are safe. Are you human or something else?" She asked him, hoping she'd get at least that much out of him. She needed to know what he was but she had a feeling from how closed off he had been so far that he wasn’t going to give her as much information as she wanted, so she would take what she could get and piece it together later.

The vampire spoke and Micheal shook his head. "It was fair until you added a little vampire mojo into that punch....flying me half way across the ally." Micheal objected. He never would have used any of his gifts, if Spike did not go all strong on him. Micheal knew human strength, and that first push was far from human strength. Michael had been in many human fights, and he knew that even the strongest person could not have done that. So Micheal knew right away he was dealing with something supernatural. Now he knew it was a vampire, but dang..... He never would have thought. Here of all places. America... what was he gonna do?
At the comment of Spike never being able to 'turn it off' Micheal threw him a look. "Fair fight ay." He added, reinforcing his original sentience. Micheal never would have done anything had Spike not gotten to it first. Micheal was fully aware of his powers and what he can and cannot do. He'd never put himself in a position he could not get out of... powers or not. He went into this using nothing but his human counterpart. No alien was brought into this fight until the vampire brought it in. Fair fight or not, still, Spike needed to stop fighting 'humans'. Someone would really get hurt. Had Micheal not been what he was, he would have had a nice gash on his arm, and a bruise on his face, maybe even a rash from landing on the hard ground. Who knew. But lucky for him, he could heal himself, minor wounds of course. But had this been a human, how fair was that? Or could that be.
And the weirder thing yet. If this blonde and the vampire were trying to save the world or whatever then why was Spike not kept on a shorter leash until he could control himself. That's what Max had done with him. Kept him real close, making sure he could control himself before letting him do whatever he wanted. Of course Micheal did whatever he wanted anyway. But still... She needed to control her guy. That much was clear. "Half human." Micheal answered. He was something else that was for dang sure, but he was still partly human. "As for you.... were you born with the strength... or did you acquire it somehow?" He asked, he had answered her question. Sure not as fully as she might have wanted. But it was more information then he might have wanted to give before. He was just trying to figure out if she were born a human and turned into some kind of human bot? Or if she was given strength by magic or a witch or wizard.... seeing as Vampires were clearly real, then they must be as well. So he wanted to know what she was. She said she was human, but humans did not have super strength, or whatever it was she had. So what the hell was he deal with that?

[/img] ”Oh, quit your bellyaching. I knew you weren’t completely human ‘cause no human can throw me like that,” Spike automatically defended himself, even if he didn’t really need to. He was about to go on, but Buffy had already explained that he couldn’t really turn of his vampire strength, only try to check it a bit. If he really had been in a fight with a true human… well, who could say. The last time he had come to blows with someone human had been that Robin guy. And while Spike hurt him pretty badly, he did leave the man alive, even though he didn’t really feel like it. In contrast, since the smell of blood in the air had become much fainter, whatever scratches Spike had put on this guy had closed up somehow. As the questioning started, Spike merely leaned himself along the alley wall, keeping an eye on the stranger to make sure he didn’t pull anything strange. The man was still cocky, but chances were that he wouldn’t be able to take out both of them before one of them could reach him. He’d learn that either of them could knock him clear across this alley, no problem. Actually, Spike half wished that the guy would pull something. It was a strange thing for Spike to wait and see what would happen rather than doing, but still, being the good vampire and to not disappoint Buffy was more important. It wasn’t like he was obeying an order from her or anything, just that he didn’t feel the need to cock up their standing with each other any more than it was. The truth was, Spike did really want to talk with her, was hoping that the first time he’d see her, he and the Slayer would come to some kind of reconciliation. But no such luck. They had to deal with this chucklehead. Such was the life of a Scooby, always chasing after the monster of the day… or whatever the hell this guy was. ”He’s not lying. Something in there’s human.” Spike said, looking over to Buffy. She would probably know that the vampire could smell the strains of human in him. But to say such a thing out loud would probably make their little twenty question partner freak out more than anything else, so Spike kept the reason away from him and hoped that Buffy would as well. The question that the stranger posed, however, did concern Spike a little. Did it really matter where Buffy got her strength from? In Spike’s mind, the only reason why someone would want to know where a power came from was so they had the possibility to take it away. Well, then again, Spike was being on his most defensive behavior, so any question that came out of this bloke’s mouth the vampire could probably twist into meaning something bad for the Slayer. +++ TAGS: Buffy, Michael WORD COUNT: 486 NOTES: ~

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -Buffy rolled her eyes, having figured this might be the case. Spike couldn't exactly help the fact that he was a vampire so he had vampire strength. He had learned to taper it off a bit while training with the potentials as if he would have used all of his strength he would have killed the girls and then he'd have to deal with one extremely unhappy Buffy Summers...however that didn't mean that it wasn't there. She had a feeling that no matter what, if he was fighting a guy, he'd be using his vampire strength...that's just who Spike was.
Hearing that Michael was half human explained a bit and as much as she wanted to jump in and ask him what his other half was, she refrained. Spike giving him two cents and agreeing with him that there was something human about him as well made her relax. No one understood why but she trusted Spike almost as much as she trusted Angel. She knew he wouldn’t lie to her so she trusted his word…something that not many could say. She didn’t want to scare this guy off now that she was clearly getting answers so she caged her inner curiosity and simply nodded a single nod. “Okay, sounds good.” She stated brightly, not really sure what else to say that wouldn’t piss him off. “Know a few half humans myself, not sure I know any like you but I do know a few. A friend of mine’s friend was a half human half demon and he was a pretty good guy.” She stated, remembering meeting Doyle on the day that never was.
"It's a bit more complicated than that." She answered him before going into further explanation. “I was born with the potential to have the strength and skills that I have. When I was born my name was put down on a list so to speak of girls who had the potential that could be activated if it was ever needed. When my predecessor died my name was chosen and I developed my strength. I didn’t know it at first until someone came and explained things to me…but when they did they showed me that I had strength I hadn’t before. “She told him, leaning against the wall of the bar.
“As for my skills, I had to learn those just like everyone else. My body was able to move in different ways so I was able to perfect them a lot sooner than most but I still had to learn.” She stated with a fond smile, remembering some of her and Merrick’s interesting training sessions…she didn’t exactly make it easy for him. She wished she could have thanked him before it was too late, she truly did care about the man.

Of course he was not lying. He'd have no reason to lie. Sure he would not tell the whole truth, but he was not going to lie about it. Anyway he looked human enough, so of course he had human in him, anyone with eyes could see that. If he was full alien who knew what he'd really look like. Micheal had never seen what his people truly look like. Sure he was mixed with Human DNA, but that did not mean he was not a little green guy.... well that was a complicated and touche subject. He was far from green.. .but yes he was very clearly human... or partly so.
Micheal nodded at her comment.... "No demon here..." Micheal said, though changed his mind half way through his comment. That statement could be debated. Literally he had no demon parts to him... but had a demon still been a myth, people would think he was part demon. He smiled slightly at his internal conversation with himself. That really could go quite a few ways. He had been known to act like the devil, being quite rude. But that was just who he was no demon blood in his system. At least none that he knew about. Shoot his Alien counterparts could very well be demons exiled from earth.... if that was even possible. But still, he was an alien who had some pretty cool powers. Other then that... he was just human. Boring old human.
"Interesting...." Micheal added thinking on it a bit... She was picked what out of a hat or something... "So you'd be classified as what?" He asked, trying to fit her into something. He half wanted to ask if she was the half demon she spoke about. She seemed nice enough. Yet he did not want to seem so dumb. So he left it up to her. The more open she was, the more he'd in turn open up. After another few questions he might just be temped to spill the beans. He might as well, she was clearly no government agent. He was able to protect himself from her goon.... It looked like he was her puppy really. So if he were to answer to anyone it would be her. So he'd all but ignore the vampire for now, and focus more on the girl with super strength.

Spike was getting uncomfortable. Not in a hurt way, but more like an itch. He wanted to move or talk or something, but he was stuck here for now. Though it didn’t really show on his face, Spike was getting antsy. Now that he had let the Slayer take over the situation, he was at a bit of a loss as to what to do, especially since Buffy was saying a lot more information than the stranger was giving back. For every ten or twenty words of her past, her training, her strengths and such, the other man only said one or two. And not a lot of information were in the words he spoke. He said he wasn’t part demon, but what did that make him? What other half things could he be? Spike wasn’t so convinced he wasn’t lying, but the vampire couldn’t be absolutely sure unless he tasted some of the man’s blood and it was obvious that wasn’t going to happen anytime soon. It was actually harder to refrain from commenting on the ways Buffy’s body moved, but he didn’t want to be punched in the face, nor give the other man the satisfaction of seeing that. So he had to just swallow a chuckle of sorts and hope Buffy didn’t notice. The other man asked his question point blank, asking what Buffy was, and no doubt she’d answer. Her little game of questions was somehow turning into something where the strange man was getting more information than they were, and Spike didn’t want that happening. Perhaps he could edge a few questions in, putting them as politely as he was capable of without upsetting the balance of the conversation. After all, sometimes Buffy did have a way of buttering up people until they felt comfortable enough to tell her what she wanted to know. Spike tried to remember if Buffy had ever done any of that while he had been evil, tied up in her watcher’s living room. No, mostly he remembered being insulted while he was interrogated. Well, anyway, he wasn’t in that position now, this bloke was. So, what exactly was Spike going to ask him? Ah, now he knew. ”So, how do you do that blasting thing?” Spike asked, actually honestly curious, as well as wanting to know if there was a trick to the attack or not. Also, depending on what he said, it was likely that information could be used to narrow down what his other half was. Whether or not he could use magic would be a good thing to know as well. And in his boredom, Spike had also imagined what it would do to a car or if it could blow up a neon light or something like that. Destruction was one of the vampire’s hobbies, and even though the stranger’s attack had hurt like hell, it was fun to think of the possibilities. +++ TAGS: Buffy, Michael WORD COUNT: 487 NOTES: ~

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The no demon here comment made her smile. "I didn't think you were a demon but then again you never really know with people." She told him with a laugh. "You'd be surprised at some of the people I've met over the years who look completely human and then you turn around and BOOM, they aren't as human as you once thought." She stated, realizing she was babbling but not knowing what else to say. She had a lot of questions but she didn't know how to go about asking them. She also had this weird suspicion that she had met someone like him before, just a feeling she had, and yet for the life of her she couldn’t figure out who it was.
She continued going over in her head the people that she had met that weren’t completely human but apparently she was losing it as she couldn’t figure out who he reminded her of. She had a feeling it was someone recent as no one in Sunnydale (at least not in her memory) matched his feeling so to speak, and yet she still couldn’t figure it out. She made a mental note to ask Spike once they were alone later to see if he got the same feeling she did, though she doubted he had.
Thinking about what she wanted to say, she figured it wouldn't do any harm to give away her specific title. It's not like every demon on the planet...well...most of them that is...didn't know what a slayer was...so might as well give this unknown half human half whatever person it as well. "Technically, I'm known as the vampire slayer...but that goes to demons as well...well...at least most of them." She corrected herself, throwing Spike a look as she remembered Clem and a few other demons she hadn't slayed. “That goes for vampires too.” She added on as an afterthought.
Hearing Spike's question she nodded her head, also wanting to know. "I agree, I'm a bit curious myself." She told him before taking a look around, seemingly realizing where they were, which wasn't at all hidden...well...it was...but not enough to actually have a demonstration. "I'd ask to see it since I only saw a tiny bit of it, but we're not exactly in an area that's hidden...so I'll settle for an explanation now, but eventually may I possibly get a demonstration, preferably not against myself or my friend?" She asked, smiling her best smile.

"True that" He said with a bit of a snicker. Yep, you just never know. He had come across many many people in his young life, oh course most of them had been human. Or he thought they were human. But he had a run in with some sinks ect. So he understood that statement. You just never know with people. Monsters are getting more and more cleaver at hiding who they are these days. But he figured they have to with Buffy running around showing up at the most inconvenient times. But then again good think she showed up, or Spike would not be standing right now... and he might be a littler more hurt then normal. He can only heal so much after all.. he is part human.
Vampire slayer? Well... that was different for sure. So she slays vampires and demons... That much was clear... but weird. Why she would go around killing supernatural things he was unsure. It was all part of the balance right. Well guess she was part of it. She clearly was supernatural, and he half wondered if it was a title she gave herself. IE was she someone who had an encounter with something supernatural got her gifts then gave herself that title and started to try and save the humans... not like they needed to be saved. Oh no. Human were fucked up.
"How do you change your face?" Micheal asked in return to Spike, to prove his point. That was not a valid question to ask, for there was no answer. How do you walk? You just walk you don't sit there and think about moving every muscle and try to balance and what not, you just do. He just does... it's like instinct. He can call upon it when he wants to, Micheal assumed. That's how his powers work. They just happen "As for showing you, I can but someones gotta be the dummy." He said looking to Spike. "I can turn the power down so I wont throw you so far." He added, so they were in an ally way. He was pretty sure no one would be coming out here at night. Anyway people inside already saw Spike and Micheal walk outside, and who wants to get in the middle of a bar fight? Not too many people.
But Micheal could hardly explain how he does things. He just does. He wishes it and it comes true. He wants to blow something up he can. He wants to change the color of Buffy's shirt he can. Whatever he wants to do... he just does. He never though how he does it... its just second nature. The more he does something the easier it becomes the less he has to think about it. The more it just happens when he needs it. Like blowing things up. His gifts are attached to his emotions, so sometimes he cant use them because he is so distracted.... but that's just a Micheal thing not really an alien thing.

The vampire crossed his arms and lightly tapped his fingers across his forearm as Buffy and the stranger spoke. He absolutely knew that Buffy was a talker, but still, it seemed more like she was trying to get something out of the man without directly asking him. But though he seemed a bit annoyed, it was really that this interrogation was taking too long. Spike actually found Buffy’s rambling to be rather… cute. Not that he could ever say that out loud. But mostly, the vampire was thinking on what the other half of this guy could be. If it wasn’t a demon, then perhaps he was half another thing that Spike had learned recently about—an angel. After all, Maddie hadn’t told him everything to know about that, so he couldn’t say that it wasn’t such a thing as a half-angel. The Brit attempted to discern if there was that sort of presence in the man, as the prophet had tried to teach him, but Spike came up short and dismissed the idea. He didn’t think it would work, but it was worth a shot. When the Slayer brought up the general specs of the job she was chosen for, Spike only gave a soft snort of amusement. Mostly because of how different this one girl had changed what being a Slayer was. And Spike, being the killer of two other Slayers, kind of knew what the deal with the old Slayers had been. But their white and black had been replaced with Buffy’s murky shades of gray, and she was mostly pretty adept at traversing those waters. The vampire supposed that her viewpoint on those kinds of things had saved his unlife plenty of times and allowed her to not hate him. He was a bit surprised that Buffy also wanted to learn about the unknown man’s explosion powers, but the explanation given was a rather shitty one. Everything this bloke said just got Spike more annoyed at him. At least the British vampire had the decency to stew in silence for the most part rather than act like a dick. So his response was pretty natural, ”Stuff that, you git.” Spike snapped, not wanting to be the dummy at all. He wasn’t about to elect Buffy to be in harm’s way either. ”I don’t know what you’re capable of and that includes keeping your word. You wouldn’t let me get a free shot on you, even if I promised not to shatter your bones, now would you? So, yeah. No dice.” For all Spike knew, the guy was a warlock and if given the chance, Spike would be on fire in seconds. Burning up in an alley because he let a guy he shouldn’t have trusted anyway shoot him with some energy spell? Spike thought not. ”Can’t we just punch him in the face until he tells us what we want to know?” Spike looked over to Buffy, sounding more like he was asking her to hurry up at a store rather than being angry, ”That’s what you did with me way back when, and it worked, more or less.”+++ TAGS: Buffy, Michael WORD COUNT: 523 NOTES: ~
