- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -She sighed as she continued to head towards her destination. It was another day as the new counselor at Richmond High School. She remembered Giles reaction when she had told him she had gotten a job. At first he laughed at her, asking why she had bothered since she didn’t need the money. After she had explained exactly why she had gotten the job, he had been proud of her. He still thought it was a waste, but she ignored him, telling him she needed something to do while the potentials were training with others.
She shook her head, stepping out of her car and locking her door. After school was over she was heading to the car dealership to buy a car so she could take one of the rentals back. It was a waste of money to keep renting a car when she could simply buy one and let the watcher (whoever was assigned to the potentials here) drive it while she wasn’t around. As she walked towards the school her mind raced.
She remembered how she had been the new girl at another school. Of course, her first day of school at Sunnydale High School was not at all what she expected. She had been worried about 'making new friends, about behind on all her classes, on having last months hair. She had no idea there would be vampires on campus.' Unfortunately, she found a lot more than she bargained for.
Her first class she met a girl who reminded her too much of herself to be comforting, though she seemed nice at the time. Cordelia Chase was able to share her book in class with Buffy before directing her to the library, something she would always regret and be thankful for in the same light. Buffy, heading to the library for her text books, encountered Rupert Giles, a man who knew exactly who she was, and not in a way that teachers were supposed to. Instead of handing her 7 or so text books, she was handed a huge tomb entitled 'Vampyrs'...she didn't want to admit it but she knew exactly who he was at that moment. He was a watcher...just like Merrick. The accent was the same and he had the same knowing eyes that Merrick did...though Mr. Giles eyes were a bit more compassionate than her former Watchers had been.
After bolting from the library the 'former' slayer headed towards the courtyard where she met the two best friends she would ever have. Willow Rosenburg agreed to help her with her school work in order to get caught up while Alexander 'Xander' Harris immediately became enamored with the young blonde. She also was introduced to Jesse, Xander and Willow's friend. The three plus one immediately bonded but their time was cut short when Cordelia appeared, talking about how one of their classmates (Aura) found a dead guy stuffed in her locker. Knowing immediately what was going on, Buffy didn't even make up an excuse, she simply left, heading towards the library where she knew that Mr. Giles was.
Things took a turn for the better for once that day as she accepted an invite from Cordelia to head to the Bronze, a club on the bad side of town, which was about a half of block from the good side of town. Sunnydale didn't have a lot of town. On her way, she had felt like she was being followed and in following her instincts she was in fact correct. A man had been following her...and after bantering back and fourth he simply threw her a velvet pouch and left. However not before saying that she could say he was a friend, however not that he was her friend.
Once at the Bronze, Buffy immediately found Willow. They spoke for a bit, Buffy learning a bit more about Willow and Xander, how they had been best friends for years, and had only dated until Xander stole her barbie (they were five). They spoke a bit about how Willow was too shy for her own good and Buffy gave her a piece of advice that she would regret for all of her life. She told her Seize the day, because tomorrow you may be dead. Before she could stick around she saw someone up on the balcony. She left Willow, telling her she would be right back. Willow tried to tell her that she didn't have to come back, but the blonde simply rolled her eyes...never realizing that Willow would be one of the few people who would never turn her back on her.
After climbing the stairs Buffy immediately encountered Mr. Giles, who she would always refer to as simply Giles from here on out, who had said he was there to find her. Buffy told him that 'his friend' had warned her about the Harvest, though Giles had no idea who said friend was or what the Harvest was...though he would research it (as he would many other things as his time as watcher). Before she could comment the watcher started lecturing her about how she was unable to hone in on her skills...how she must 'sense' if a vampire is near. She immediately pointed on out, stating that his clothing was a dead giveaway as no one except someone who had been living underground for ten years would think the style was still in. Unfortunately the vampire had a girl with him. Giles immediately recognized the young red-head as one who liked to hang out in the library during her study hall...as did Buffy...it was Willow.
Running down the stairs she encountered Xander, who chose that time to let her know that he had been eavesdropping on her conversation earlier in the day and heard her comment on slaying vampires. He followed her as Buffy raced to find Willow and when she did she encountered another vampire named Darla, who had taken Jesse. Luckily Buffy was able to rescue Willow (and Xander who had tried to help and ended up getting himself mixed up in things he shouldn't have been) but Jesse was taken before she could safely rescue him as well.
After heading back to the library (which would become the group's headquarters of sorts over the next three years, Giles explained to Willow and Xander exactly what Buffy was and how imperative it was to keep it a secret (something Buffy tended to be bad at sometimes).
She shook her head, her thoughts clearing immediately. Now was definitely not the time to be thinking about her former memories. At night while alone was the time to think about her past…not while she was working.

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Stepping out of the boarding house, Angel felt the rays of the sun wash over him with a gratifying feeling of warmth. It had been so long since he’d been in the sunlight that he had forgotten what it felt like. Now that Angelus had gone off and gotten themselves a daylight ring, he could go outside whenever he pleased. However this would be the first time that he had actually ventured out during the daytime since regaining his soul. It had been something he’d been weary of, afraid that the spell would wear off and he would simply burst into flames and be no more. Although this still worried him, he finally mustered up the courage to do so. Sooner or later he’d have to try and find a way to get Katheryn a ring as well. If he could have given her his, he would have, but he wasn’t sure if it worked that way. After all he literally hadn’t known anything about them until he remembered Angelus’ memory and even that hadn’t given him very much information.
As the sunlight washed over his body he simply stood outside the door of the home for a moment, soaking all of its warmth in. His eyes closed as he allowed the warmth to consume him, still weary of the fact that the spell could possibly wear off. He desperately hoped that it wouldn’t, as he couldn’t stand to leave Katheryn alone on this earth. Nowadays it seemed that the little vampire was all that he had left. While he loved her to pieces, he did have a longing in his heart for a certain blonde slayer. It was a longing that he’d had for many years now; one that he knew wouldn’t go away. No matter how hard he tried to move on and simply ‘get over it’ he just couldn’t. He hadn’t ever been able to and this would be no different. He knew it was essentially over between the two of them, but he still couldn’t bring himself to move on. He missed her, more than anyone could possibly know or understand.
It had only been a couple of days since he had last seen the slayer but already he found himself missing her. It wasn’t exactly because he hadn’t seen her, because he’d gone much longer without seeing her, but It was because they left on crappy terms yet again. Just when things had been seeming to get a bit better they took a turn for the worse. He mentioned (for god only knows what reason) to her about the whole, Cordelia thing, and that had just made things literally explode. She blew up and began screaming at him and ended up pushing him so that his head hit against a headstone. It had quite literally cracked his skull and though he’d tried to hide it, Buffy had indeed noticed. Though he had resisted as he knew it would eventually heal, she had then forced him to drink her blood. The sweet taste of her flawless and powerful blood had filled his veins and he’d been healed within hours, maybe even less. However after that she had simply walked away from him. This time, he hadn’t chased after her. He couldn’t bring himself to be shot down once again.
This morning though he had heard the slayer slip out of the house for work. Although he knew she didn’t want to speak to him, that didn’t mean that he didn’t want to see her….even if she didn’t know that he was there. Yep, he was going back to his old tactics and watching her from a distance. Things were still extremely tense between them and both had said things they could never take back, he wasn’t even sure if the relationship could be mended. That being said, he still had to watch her…make sure she was okay, make sure nothing happened to her.
Parking his car about a block away he quickly caught up with her, as she’d taken a moment or two to park. Staying about a hundred yards back from her, he stood behind a couple of bushes and watched her. He didn’t look too creepy considering that he wasn’t in the bushes, but merely beside him, but he knew the slayer wouldn’t be able to spot him. God she looked great today too, which certainly didn’t help his plan to stay away from her. For now he restrained himself and simply watched as she locked her car and made her way up to the front of the school, hoping she didn’t feel him there. - - - - - - - - - - -Tag: Buffy Anne Summers Word Count: 771 Outfit: Click here for Angel's outfit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Her attention was broken by a blonde girl pushing another girl and screaming that she needed to watch where she was going. Upon closer examination, the blonde slayer realized extremely quickly that this girl was a vampire. It wasn’t a sunny day so this was entirely possible, but it still was extremely odd in her book. She rolled her eyes at the audacity of the girl in front of her. It was extremely clear that the girl had no idea who she was which was fine with her. It gave her a bit more leverage…though she would definitely not be doing anything about it in the hallway of a school. Not only was this a school that she really had no pull in being that she was the brand new counselor and hadn’t actually finished out a full day yet…but it was also a strange school. Well, the school in itself wasn’t strange…but the town was. People were way too aware here and so a student going missing from school? Yeah, not something she wanted to deal with at the moment. So she’d keep herself guarded…and make sure to keep an eye out on this girl. If one student disappeared from school…she’d know where to look first.
“Yeah, people are clumsy. You don’t have to be rude about it.” She told her, authority leaking out of her voice. She remembered how she hated being the authority figure at one time. There were times she still felt weird about giving orders to people in a situation that wasn’t life or death. As the slayer, she was used to giving orders and having them be followed. The people around her (well, most of them) knew to follow her orders because she was trying to keep them alive. However in a school setting where students looked at their teachers and their elders like they were beneath them, she sometimes still felt weird about it.
However, she reminded herself, this girl standing in front of her was most definitely a vampire. She was a cocky one at that and that was something that could either be a very good thing since it meant she would mess up in her cockiness…or it could be a very bad thing which meant that she had been around for a lot of years. She couldn’t tell which category this girl fell into yet…but she would definitely be keeping an eye out.
“So I think you should check the attitude and head to class instead of acting like your better than everyone else. Okay?” She asked, a bit sarcastically. She didn’t handle stuck up girls very well and she knew she tended to act a bit unprofessional sometimes as she was supposed to be unbiased. She couldn’t help it though. These girls were only a few years younger than herself so she tended to fall back into defensive mode as she had watched her friends get bullied way too often by people who thought they were better than others.
She waited until the girl walked away before rolling her eyes again. She herself needed to get to the office but before she could head towards that way she felt it…a feeling that she knew almost better than her own heartbeat. Walking back towards the doors she walked out and walked around to where the bushes were, starting a bit when she saw Angel. Sure she had felt him but she hadn’t realized he was actually there…
“What are you doing here?” She asked softly, not malice in her voice…simply a slight curiosity.

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Although he was still outside of the building, he moved along the line of bushes further towards the school. They quite literally butted up to the entrance door but he knew he’d look like a weirdo if anyone saw him. So he stepped out of them and simply stood to the side of the door and pulled out his cell phone. This way, if anyone walked by, they’d simply think that he was stopping to do the horrific act of texting. Obviously he didn’t really know how to text and hadn’t ever really tried but hey, he needed some kind of cover so he didn’t look like some pervert standing outside of the school. Granted he could tell him how he was simply watching his ex-girlfriend but obviously that would only make him look worse. Then he would be known as a stalker instead of a pervert, not exactly sure which one he preferred. Hopefully he wouldn’t be either one of them.
Thankfully at least he was dressed quite normally in the grand scheme of things. No longer was he donned in all black with a trench coat, Kathy had seen to the end of that. Instead she told him that he looked younger like this and more “of his time”. Plus she seemed to really enjoy picking out his clothes and threw a fit when he didn’t wear them, which was the only reason he did wear them. Today she had picked out a simple, tight fitting brown t-shirt. It wasn’t skin tonight but it was definitely slim and showed just about every muscle on his upper body. Tight abs poked through, wide shoulder muscles, large biceps and a thick and muscular chest. Next she paired this shirt with a pair of jeans, which he HATED, but wore anyways. Finally she topped the whole outfit off with a pair of brown/burgundy Timberland boots. All in all he absolutely hated the outfit, but wore it for her sake.
Peeking through the school doors when no one was around he saw Buffy confronting a teenaged blonde girl. The girl seemed to have caused a ruckus in the hall, and he heard Buffy tell her to quit acting like she was better than everyone else. There was a strict authority in her voice that he admired. It seemed that not only was she good at this job, but that she enjoyed it as well. As the slayer began to turn around he quickly ducked out of sight and made his way back down the line of bushes. This time he stayed further away so that no one could see him, not students, and not Buffy. He waited a few moments before poking his head out to see if the coast was clear. The second he did, he nearly smacked right into the slayer.
Just my luck.
Her voice startled him a bit and he began to furiously try and think of an excuse for his being there. There could only possibly be one reason, yet he didn’t want to admit that. ”Uhh --- Katheryn. She thought of going here maybe, posing as a ninth grader…I was just checking out the school.” Yeah, like she was going to believe that. Shifting his weight, he waited to see if she would buy his story. Probably not considering the fact that she could read him like no one else and knew him better than the back of her own hand. He was screwed and he knew it. [/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - -Tag: Buffy Anne Summers Word Count: 583 Outfit: Click here for Angel's outfit. Notes: ----

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Wow, Angel was a horrible liar, that much was quite clear as soon as the words escaped his lips. She found it ironic that a two hundred and forty however old vampire he was that he couldn't lie worth a damn. Well, maybe it was that he couldn't lie to her...since she could never seem to lie to him either...but either way his lie was extremely see through. Now maybe if another female teacher or staff member would have come out and asked what he was doing then it might have worked since he could have charmed his way out of it. Either that or the woman would be too damn busy staring at him to even hear what he was going to say.
"Mmhmm." She simply stated, not wanting to stare at him in the sun and ruin what should have been a happy time. This was the first time (other than on the pier on a day she wasn't supposed to remember) that she had ever seen him in the sun and any other time she would be ecstatic. She could clearly remember day dreams of him showing up at Sunnydale High School in the sun and her bolting out the door and throwing herself into his arms where he would hold her and kiss her and yeah, she had to stop there. She used to day dream (and dream at night as well) about him becoming human or finding a way to come out into the sun a million times so if she would concentrate on that particular thing she knew it would break her heart even more. “Kathy hasn’t mentioned that to me…but then again I haven’t seen her recently so that may be why.” She stated, not wanting to admit that she had purposely distanced herself from the young vampire.
As much as she cared about Kathy, she couldn’t bring herself to be around her or Angel after everything that had happened. She felt like Kathy and Angel deserved each other and she got in the way of it, so instead of trying to balance things out…she simply distanced herself from everyone.
“Well if you have any questions about the school you can talk to Mr. Adams, the principal and he’ll be happy to answer all your questions.” She stated softly before turning around and starting her walk back towards the school. However she turned around once more to look at him and tilted an eyebrow up. “May want to figure out a way to get Kathy a way to get around in the day light before you start going looking for schools for her.” She stated, clearly showing she knew he was lying before turning around and heading back inside.
8 Hours Later
Finally the last bell rang and she was free. She thought briefly about heading back to the boarding house but refrained from doing so, instead heading towards her car to go back to the empty apartment. She didn’t want to subject anyone to her mood at the moment. Word Count:: 527 Tag:: Angel Outfit:: Click for Buffy’s outfitNote:: She’s at least not screaming at him anymore. - - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -As she hummed in response he felt as if she’d already seen through his lie. In all reality it didn’t exactly surprise him. After all he was a very good liar, but had never been able to lie to her. He may have done it before a couple of times but it hadn’t ever worked. It was similar to how he would watch her and not want to be seen, but she busted him every time. In the mean time he could spy on pretty much anyone else and never get caught. It was just something about her that had always been different. Not only could she sense when he was around but she could also see right through him, and vice versa. Usually it was a good thing but not especially in this case, where he hadn’t wanted to be seen. He obviously hadn’t been being very stealthy.
Even though he knew he had been caught, he didn’t want to admit the real reason that he was here. Partly he had missed her, and partly he had wanted her to see him in the daylight. A small part of him hoped that deep down it would register to her that he could now go outside during the daylight, that it might make things better between them. He knew it was a long shot but he had to try, didn’t he? Clearing his throat out of pure awkwardness, his eyes shifted back and forth between the people going in and out of the school and the woman in front of him. ”That’s probably it. We’ve been talking about it for awhile” he said lying through his teeth. He was god awful at it too, and he knew she didn’t believe a word that he was saying. As she told him that he could talk to the Principal if he had any questions, he gulped and nodded. Watching her walk away he couldn’t help but feel disappointed at how short this visit had been. In all honesty he’d been hoping she would see him in the daylight and throw her arms around him and kiss him, though had known that wouldn’t happen. He knew it wouldn’t happen for awhile actually, it had simply been wishful thinking. Although he hated to see her go, he couldn’t help but enjoy watching her leave. Though it didn’t hit him too often, he was a man after all and he couldn’t help but admire her outfit. She looked beautiful and on top of that, she was wearing his necklace again. That had to be a good sign, didn’t it? Just when he had begun to turn in the opposite direction and leave, she turned back to face him once again. He couldn’t help but smirk as she made her comment, making it clear that she knew he was a liar. Even though it might annoy her, he smirked anyways. In fact it was kind of amusing and in some way, it was good that she’d known he was a liar. That meant that deep down she knew he was only here to see her, that he had missed her. In his book, that was a good thing. Watching her once again as she made her way into the building, he turned around and disappeared once she was out of sight. He would be back. 8 Hours later During the time she had been in work, he moseyed around town and ran a couple of errands. He picked up some tooth paste and shampoo for him and Katheryn, and made a trip to the butchers. He knew that his sister wasn’t a fan of pig’s blood but he bought it anyways; he’d get her to stand it eventually. Once he was sure she was getting out of work soon, he made his way back to the school. Leaning up against her car, he waited for her to walk up and see him. It was official; there was no escaping him.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - -Tag: Buffy Anne Summers Word Count: 664 Outfit: Click here for Angel's outfit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Work had pretty much been a huge pain in the ass that day. As much as she absolutely HATED to say it...kids were insane. God that made her feel older than she had ever felt and she could definitely say there were days that she had felt ridiculously old. Today however, yeah, she wanted to be back in high school so she could slap some people around and not get charged with child abuse. Sure that might have sounded bad and all but in that moment she really didn’t care, wanting nothing more than some peace and quiet and an extremely hot bath.
Yes, she was turning into an adult, god help her.
Heading towards her car she heard a few kids arguing but ignored it as awful as that was to say. There were several teachers still watching as students got into their cars and got onto the buses, so she refused to worry about it. She had dealt with them all day coming in and out of her office complaining about this, that and the other thing. Usually this didn't bother her but seeing Angel earlier had shaken her up and all day she had felt completely off course.
Oh sure she knew that he had left once she had walked back inside, but that didn't mean that her entire facade wasn't raddled, because it definitely was. She had always been able to feel him when he was around; little did he seem to remember that half the time. She had felt him when they both lived in Sunnydale, she could feel him when he came to check on her and wanted to pretend like he wasn’t there, she could feel him when he was trying to watch her without her knowledge, and any of the other little times that he had been around…so why he thought he would get away with it today she really didn’t have any idea. She’d have to ask him that one day…along with how and when he had become such a bad liar.
Walking into the parking lot she immediately stopped as she caught a glimpse of her ex standing against her car. She thought about it and realized with a groan that she had felt his presence but she had been so busy that she didn't even think about it. Great, just great. Just what she needed, a confrontation out in the parking lot of her work. Sighing she shook her head and headed towards him, her keys in her hand. "You know it's against the law to be standing on school property when there are still students on the premises without a pass." She quipped, not knowing what else to say.

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Despite the fact that he probably looked like a weirdo, he was betting on the fact that his ex would soon be walking outside of the school. He knew that school couldn’t possibly be more than seven and a half or eight hours long, so he’d come back after about seven. That had given him about an hour or so to think before he actually had to see her. Thinking probably hadn’t been the best thing to do though, considering the fact that it only made him nervous to see her. It had only been days ago since they had both literally hurt each other, her physically by cracking his skull open and him emotionally hurting her by telling her about Cordelia. Maybe coming here hadn’t been the best idea in the world, nor the best idea he’d had even day. However he realized it was far too late to seemingly disappear when he saw her approaching him out of the corner of his eye.
Leaned back against her driver’s side door with both arms crossed he watched her approach him. Just by the look on her face he could tell it hadn’t been a good day for her. ”Bad day?” he asked cautiously, hoping that he wasn’t going to get screamed at. Sometimes he just never knew when she would explode or when she’d be sweet and soft to him. The other night she’d exploded on him and then had cut her own wrist to heal him. He was beginning to think that the love of his life was a little bipolar. Well hell actually, he’d kind of been thinking that for years now. Nonetheless he knew that he had to watch what he said around her very carefully. And whatever he did, never bring up Cordelia again. He really didn’t feel like having a cracked skull again, it had hurt during the short time it had lasted. Noting that she was still coming towards her door with her keys in her hand ready, he made sure to keep his ground leaning against her door. She wasn’t running away from this conversation, unless she was doing it on foot. Even then he knew he’d stop her. ”What are you going to do, call security on me?” he asked sarcastically, wondering why that even mattered right now. Obviously she was just trying to avoid talking about anything meaningful. Which, he didn’t plan on letting her do. ”I didn’t come here to argue, I came here to talk.” Hopefully she took this as in that he didn’t come to scream either. If she was willing to forgive him, he would forgive her. Or at least he’d try his best to do so. Waiting for her to respond, he crossed his arms even tighter and simply stared at her, waiting for her to speak. She wasn’t getting out of this one by cracking his skull open, not this time.[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - -Tag: Buffy Anne Summers Word Count: 487 Outfit: Click here for Angel's outfit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Hearing him ask her if she had a bad day, she couldn't help but snort before covering her mouth, blushing a bit at the very unattractive (in her eyes) sound that just came from her. God what the fuck was the matter with her? She rarely got embarrassed around Angel and now she felt as if she didn't know how to act around him. She felt as if she didn't know him at all. That thought bothered her more than she cared to admit…that the one man who she swore she would know down to the bottom of her soul forever, she felt as if she couldn’t talk to him anymore.
"You have no idea." She muttered, thinking about the dumb girl who started shit in the middle of the hallway, and then the random guys who came in to ask about taking her out on dates. Yeah, and these weren't seniors either (not that it mattered) but she had two fourteen year old freshman ask to take her to prom. Because that wasn't awkward at all...nope...not at all. Of course the seniors asked her out as well, but they were a bit more original, asking if she wanted to head to the beach or go for a picnic.
Either way, it was strange when her students hit on her…not something she wanted to think about. She would have loved to tell them all that she was in love with a man who was older than some of the stuff they studied in history class, but clearly that wasn’t going to happen…was a nice thought in theory though.
Rolling her eyes at his sarcastic question she then shrugged her shoulders. "Maybe I will...then again if I did they'd probably run and hide." She stated, motioning over to the elder man who was watching two students fight while not doing a thing about it. "That's our end of the day security guard. Think you can take him?" She asked him with another roll of her eyes, clearly not being mean, simply being sarcastic. Again, she didn't know how to talk to him anymore.
Hearing him say he didn't come to argue, simply to talk caused her to stop her sarcasm, though it did prove quite difficult to do so. "So talk." she simply stated, looking up at him from underneath her lashes. God she loved this man with a sickness, but at the same time she didn't know how to get them back to where they were. She loved him, she would never deny it, but at the same time...how could they forget everything? How could they get past any of this? Her sleeping with Angelus, his admitting to having feelings for Cordelia, all of it.
She wanted too, god knows she did. She loved him and wanted to be back in his arms so badly that she ached, but she didn't know how to go about it.

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Although she seemed to be slightly embarrassed from having snorted, Angel found it adorable. In a way it reminded him of how they used to be. Although it wasn’t quite a laugh it was far from how she’d been acting the other night. Sarcastic or not he would take what he could get these days. ”Do you want to talk about it?” the vampire asked, referring to her bad day. Of course he had already known the answer to his question before he’d even asked it, but it was only natural for him to ask. Not only would she definitely not want to talk to him about it but she’d probably be mad that he’d even ask. She would probably see it as too civil of a conversation for them right now. Nonetheless, he hadn’t been able to hold himself back from asking anyways. When she was upset he wanted to make It all better, despite the fact that they weren’t on good terms. Sliding his eyes over to look at the old man, he saw just how feeble humans truly got. Though most people saw it as a scary thing to get older, he wished he could get older like they could. He wished he could grow old with the slayer, have children and grandchildren and all that jazz. However unfortunately, he would never get to do any of that. He saw the two teenage boys fighting right in front of the old man and quirked an eyebrow looking back to Buffy. ”I would surely hope so” he said and with that witty comment, he stood up and off her car and made his way over to the old man and the two boys fighting. Once over to the boys, he picked the larger redheaded boy off of the smaller blonde boy with ease, lifting him off the boy by the back of his collared shirt. While he normally would have just picked the boy up and set him down elsewhere, clearly there were too many people around. So instead he simply got him off the boy and glared at him. ”Go home. Now” he scolded the boy. To the average viewer, they seen nothing more than a muscular man breaking up a fight. It seemed for a moment that the boy would give him attitude but instead he simply sulked away. The blonde boy whom had been being beaten up thanked him and went to get on his school bus. As he passed the elderly security guard, the man only glared at Angel as if he’d made him look like a fool. He had only been trying to help. As he made his way back, he heard her ask him to talk and he simply looked at her. Instead of going back to his perch against his car, he stood directly behind her. He hoped it wasn’t too forward but then again…he didn’t care. ”I hate this…I miss you” he told her, whispering into her ear. Alright so maybe this had been totally out of character and sappy for him, but he couldn’t help it. He did miss her and wanted to get past this, what he did have to lose?[/blockquote] - - - - - - - - - - -Tag: Buffy Anne Summers Word Count: 533 Outfit: Click here for Angel's outfit. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Hearing him ask if she wanted to talk about it she bit back her sarcastic retort and shook her head. "Nah, nothing anyone can do. Just a bunch of drama that I am out of practice with." She stated with a roll of her eyes. "I had forgotten how hormonal teenagers were...which is ironic since I live with a couple." She stated, standing near her car but still with several inches that parted her and him and her car. She wanted to get in, drive away and leave, but from the look on her ex lover's face she doubted she was going anywhere. He was good, she would give him that. He had her trapped in a place where she couldn't run, couldn't scream and couldn't hide. She couldn’t make a scene in front of a bunch of students that she saw mostly every day nor teachers that she was trying to convince that she was normal.
Yep, he definitely knew her like the back of his hand.
Quirking an eyebrow as he made a comment about hoping he could take the security guard she watched as he walked over and calmly broke up the fight between the two students. Yeah, she could have done it...and probably should have done it. She knew there was no way that the elder man was going to get in between the two fighting boys and yet she hadn't brought herself to do it. She couldn't risk her cover unfortunately because it wasn't just her that it involved...it involved a lot more people, all of whom she cared about. So she had to sit back and until it got completely dangerous, she had to let things lay where they lay.
Clearly Angel didn't have that responsibility as he could easily break it up.
Watching as he walked back over to her she tilted an eyebrow, knowing he would be able to hear her even though he was still several feet away. "You probably are going to get asked out by five of those women over there and most likely get offered a job as the new security officer; you might want to watch it." She told him with a small laugh. She could see the women behind him literally drooling over the way he handled himself. If she wasn't mistaken several of them were checking out his butt and that made her cheeks flush in anger. Sure, they weren't together at the moment, but that didn't mean she wanted to watch other women checking out the love of her existence.
Either he didn't hear her or he just didn't respond as she felt him come up behind her. Hearing the unusual words coming out of his mouth she couldn't help but melt. She wanted nothing more than to lean back into him and let him take away every bit of pain she felt, but she didn't know how. She did know one thing though. "I miss you too." She whispered, her voice soft, as if any bit of volume could break the suddenly different vibe than had been there before.

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Even though he probably should have stayed out of it, he didn’t. Sometimes he just couldn’t help himself and he had to be the hero. Naturally he had the tendency to be a hero anyways so it suited him that he’d break up a school fight. Hearing her comment about some women asking him out he turned around to see what in the heck she was even talking about. Long behold there was a line up of mothers, waiting for their children after school, checking him out. As he looked at them he noticed as their eyes trailed up and down the entire length of his body. While he knew he was handsome, he didn’t necessarily appreciate being treated like a piece of meat. Now he knew how most women felt. Not that he looked at women like they were pieces of meat because he didn’t. In fact he usually never gave a woman a second glance other than Buffy. He just knew a lot of men did look at them like that and he didn’t understand why they didn’t throw a fit more often.
”Hmm, I didn't even notice them” he said simply, shrugging it off. He had however noticed how her cheeks had reddened when she’d seen the women looking at him. While she might not want to admit it she was still jealous over him. How could she not be? They were soul mates, he’d always been jealous over her. As he had thought earlier, he didn’t like seeing her upset. He wanted her to feel better and in his mind, there was only really one way to do that. Hearing that she had missed him too, he couldn’t help but hope that if he did actually attempt to make her feel better that she wouldn’t crack his skull open again. Hopefully she wouldn’t anyways, there was no possible way of knowing with this one. Still behind her, he twisted her around to face him before she had the chance to protest. Both of their eyes looked to the women oogling him from behind. Turning back to the slayer, he passionately met her lips with his. Not only was it a kiss, but it was a dramatic one at that. He literally leaned her back like in the old movies and held her by the small of her back, kissing her without taking a break for probably an entire minute. Knowing that she had to breathe sooner or later, rather soon than later, he finally released her and stood her straight up once again. Although he didn’t turn around to look at the line up of mothers again, he knew that their faces had to be in awe at the moment. This had been his way of telling Buffy that he didn’t want anyone else, no matter who else wanted him. Hopefully he wouldn’t get smacked upside the head for it. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Hearing him say that he didn't even notice the women checking him out made her feel a tiny bit better though she was loathe to admit it. She loved him more than life itself, and that was not just an expression. If she had the opportunity she would gladly give her life for him and she didn’t know if he knew that or not but it was simply the truth. She knew most people would say something about how she had a hero complex and would sacrifice herself for any one and while that might be a tad bit true, it still didn’t negate the fact that if it was between Angel and most everyone, she would pick Angel hands down.
Knowing she had to say something she shrugged, still not facing him. "I don't know, the brunette over there is pret..." She trailed off as she felt herself being twisted around. If it would have been anyone else she would have protested, fought him off or something along those lines...however this was Angel. No matter how upset she was with him, she still trusted him with her very life so she kept quiet, watching his face as they flickered behind her before she felt his lips against hers as she was dipped back in an old movie type way. She groaned into his mouth, wanting to push him away and at the same time wanted to pull him closer. She could feel every bit of love and passion that was between them in that kiss and while she had never forgotten it, it was still a nice reminder of what they still felt, no matter how upset they were with one another.
Feeling him break away she opened her eyes as she felt him help her straighten back up. Still in his arms and a faint flush on her cheeks. "Wha..." She stated, taking a deep breath and breaking out. "What was that for?" She asked him, needing him to tell her what exactly he was doing. There was no malice, no frustration in her voice, just a general need for information. Where did they go from here? He was the elder person in the couple, he needed to lead her because she had no idea what the hell she was doing. She didn’t like being out of control, but she simply had no idea what was going on.
She rarely did it seemed when it came to him.

- - - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - -Angel had heard her begin to comment on a brunette behind them but didn’t care to stop and let her finish. Not because he didn’t want to listen to her, not at all because of that. Angel had in fact spent many nights back in Sunnydale doing just that. Listening to her complain about her classes and teachers, her mom, Giles, and even her friends. Not only this but also complain about not being able to be a normal girl. Yet her talking his ear off was completely what a normal girl did with their boyfriend. However soon after this all normality with them would soon fly out of the window as they’d go patrolling together. He could also remember most nights spent patrolling ended up in a heavy make out session, both before he lost his soul and for awhile afterwards. Sometimes he wished he could go back to those times, where they were both happy, though it was usually very short lived.
The second she literally groaned into his mouth he knew that she wasn’t going to fight him, which only made him kiss her even more passionately. To know that she wasn’t going to just up and smack him at the moment was a good thing ,wasn’t it? He was pretty sure it was. It always amazed him how they could go from quite literally cracking each other’s skulls open to kissing within days. While she was a bit bipolar, he usually didn’t mind one bit. Especially considering that some of the times her bipolar-ness ended up with them kissing as they were tonight. It did hurt him a bit though that both of the times they had kissed last, he’d been the one to kiss her. It hurt even more knowing that he’d been the one betrayed and yet it seemed he was the only one trying. However, he didn’t want to think about it at the moment.
While they had stopped kissing, he didn’t let her out of his arms. Nope. She was his prisoner now and for the end of time. Only if and when she decided to crack his head open like an egg again would he let her go. Even then he knew he’d probably just pass out unconscious on top of her with all of her dead weight and hold her down. At her question, he took a moment to ponder what exactly he had been doing. Honestly he didn’t know. ”I don’t know…just because? I told you I missed you, I meant it.” His statement was curt and short, but it was the honest to god truth. How she responded would be how he knew what would happen between the two of them, where they were going and if they’d stay together or not .Well, more or less get back together at this point. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -Looking up at him she sighed softly, her hand resting against his cheek. "I miss you too." She told him, not really knowing what else to say. Her entire body screamed for him, as did her heart, and yet her head was desperately trying to protect her from getting hurt again. She knew that she had gone off the deep end a few nights before but really, what had anyone expected from her? Yes, she betrayed him, she understood that and she would never forgive herself for that...but he had betrayed her as well, she just doubted he saw it like that.
"Can we talk like adults...instead of me going ballistic on you and cracking open your skull?" She asked, her cheeks red with the reminder of how she had pushed him up against a headstone the other day and hurt him. Sure she had completely meant to push him away and she wouldn’t deny that at all, but she hadn’t mean to actually hurt him and as soon as she had realized she had actually physically hurt him she had immediately tried to rectify it. “Also without me trying to force feed you my blood to fix what I did?” She asked, her eyes cast downward.
Before he could answer she sensed someone else walking towards them and turned towards the sound, seeing Stephanie, one of her regular students who came in quite a bit. Her parents were going through a nasty divorce and she was quite literally stuck in the middle of it. From what she gathered her mother had cheated on her father quite a few times and yet as soon as her father started cheating on her, Stephanie’s mother played the injured party and was now trying to play the victim up not only for the courts but also for everyone else who would listen.
Hey Ms. Summers. She heard and smiled. "Hey Stephanie. How are ya?" She asked the young girl, knowing that she didn't have many friends because in addition to the nasty divorce, she had also just moved to Richmond before the beginning of school. Not bad. Um...Mr. Simpson asked me to give you this. Said you left it in your office. She heard the red head say. Looking down she laughed when she realized she had indeed forgotten her purse. "Thanks Stephanie. I'm sure Mr. Simpson was really glad he didn't have to run it out to me, would have looked kind of funny huh?" She asked the young girl, knocking her shoulder a bit in a joking manner. That would have been sort of funny. Anyway, I didn't mean to interrupt you and your husband, it was nice seeing you again Ms. Summers. Was all she heard before she watched the red head walk away, not knowing exactly how to respond to that.
Turning back to Angel she sighed. "Sorry about that."
