"Chivalry isn't dead after all."
It was hard to describe the sense of euphoria that came over Katherine as things suddenly started going right. The whole charade, the entirety of her Dog and Pony show flittered away as she genuinely allowed herself to let go and relax around them. If it was possible, her smile took on a brighter light; fueled by complete honest emotion and happiness. She couldn't remember a time when she got to feel like an honest to god Girl and it was enough to make her toes curl in her heels. Weaving her arm in with Sam's, she gave Dean another grateful little grin. Nose crinkling and very young. It was freeing and silly and it promised a damn good time.
Why not enjoy it?
As they bantered back and forth as brothers are ought to do, Katherine giggled softly under her breath. Coming to a stop at the table, she propped her elbows up onto the ledge and leaned over. For once oblivious to the view it presented from any angle. Tilting her head to the side and letting her hair spill out and over her shoulder, she looked up quizzically at Sam and wriggled her shoulders and hips in barely contained energy.
"I could play winner? Give me a chance to learn the basics watching you."
Folding her arms flat against the lip of the table, she laid her head down to gaze up at both of them with big eyes. A small excited smirk teasing the edges of her smile as she lazily blinked up at the pair of them. The air was flirtatious but comfortable, more enjoying the company and the soon to be wager. Because with the pair of them, it was inevitable. And a wager could kick the night off into laughter and possibly her 'Happy Drunk Dance'. The three of them needed this. A break from Originals and ex-lovers and supernatural bull and the drama of it all. And after all of the pain they had gone through (though she only knew of theirs in passing), no decent person would deny it to them.

Sam strutted over to the pool table as if he was its owner and king, complete with a precious lady on his arm. Let Dean carry the drinks. Sam was counting this as a win in his court. He had the lovely woman on his arm. He had offered it, and she had taken it. That made it a win-win.
He set the Black and Tan on the table nearby, but directed most of his attention (at least drink-wise) to the Purple Nurple. This has to be the most times I have even thought about the word “nurple” in a single evening. But I can't fall behind in the pack now... He was a little cautious about how these things worked. He knew how a shot worked, how to drink one, that was not the issue. He just knew how Dean looked once he got three or four of them into his system, and he was an experienced traveler. Sam was not well versed in the world of Nurples.
With both of his hands now free, he took the time to take Katherine by the hand, and guide her over to a seat. He pulled it out to her, and motioned for the exact place in front of her on the table for Dean to put the drinks down. Sure, he was being a bit of a smart ass, but he was really starting to feel like he may have a chance with this girl. He didn't know a lot about her yet, but he genuinely liked her, and if nothing terribly dire appeared over the course of the rest of the night, he might just ask for her number.
Of course, that translated to “boy be smart ass to other boy to prove that he be bigger and badder than the other lions in the pride.”
He smiled at Katherine's remark about who got to play the next game. “Well, then, I look forward to playing against you very soon.” Frankly, if he won or if he lost, he could make this work in his favor. Should I be worried that I am starting to think about strategy with this girl? I really don't want to mess this up, but I really don't ever go in with a plan. I just let me be me, and if it goes well, it goes well. Maybe I should drop the machismo act and just let it all go. If she ends up liking me more, than it is the genuine me, not the “pissing contest” me.
“Though, who knows, Dean? You might stand a chance if you get a few of these into me.” He pointed at the valiant violet foe before him. “Any pointers for a novice, oh Master-of-the-Nurple?” He rubbed his hands together in a sign of preparation and courage, before looking at Katherine and Dean with a smile on his face. At least very least he was trying something new, and it was with a pair of some decidingly amazing people.
“One. Two. Three!” On the final word, he threw his caution to the wind and down the shot. Tag: Dean and Katherine Count: 524 Notes: House fire delayed this post! But here it is! PURPLLLLLLLLLLE NURPLE! Credit: Jax

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -It was on now even though Dean knew he had a challenge ahead of him, Sam was really good a pool. Like Dean said he had brought in some good money from it, it really was going to hard for him to keep this girl impressed. He wasn’t so sure about Sam saying he might get a few over on him, but he wasn’t going to show that he was a loser with a girl here. He was going to do his very best in kicking Sam ass the best way he could. That was just how Dean rolled.
Dean walked over to the wall gabbling a pool stick, he then grabbed some chalk for the pool stick and begin to get the end of the stick ready. “You know Katherine I don’t know if you will get to play with Sam because I’m going to win this game, just so you know. I didn’t want you to get your hopes up or anything.” Dean said looking over at his brother giving him a smile. “ Yeah Sammy I’m ready for the challenge in taken you on, and yeah getting some of these in you might help me out. Because come on we all know that when you get drunk you turn into a girl, and girls they aren’t that great a pool.” He then looked to Katherine “Sorry no offense”
Dean then picked up his shot glass ready to get his drink on, he was ready to have some fun, get loose and kicks Sam’s ass. “No brother all I can say is try and keep your liquor down, unlike some of the other times we have drank together.” He knew right now he had to be pissing off Sam but is was all in good fun. “These things aren’t that bad Sammy trust me.” he picked up his shot with the count down and being to kick it back on three. After taken the shot he slammed it back down on the pool table, feeling it rush threw his throat feeling the burn. “Ok guys lets get this party started what you say, ready to do this Sammy.” He said picking up his pool stick.

To have someone treat her like a lady made Katherine Pierce fall easily back into the mannerisms of Katerina Petrova. It didn't matter that the Anglicization of the name happened before she moved to the civility of England, Katerina let herself be a damsel. Katherine was a hard ass who could take care of herself. Was it any surprise then, when she immediately allowed her posture to fall into a perfect straight? Shoulders pulled back, head elevated a degree as she bobbed her head in a small nod of appreciation born centuries past? Chivalry meant a woman needed to be protected and cherished for being less than a man. And with men like these boys, Cherish Away.
Sitting on the offered chair, her ankles crossed subconsciously at the ankle like a proper lady. It took a heartbeat of theirs before she remembered she should relax into more modern customs; and the first opportunity was when Dean brought her her drinks. Leaning on her elbow, she wove her hand into her hair and propped her head up as she sat back grinning while watching them be brothers. It was a miraculous feeling, one she missed. It was playing football in the sun all over again, and without meaning to she felt the tears flood her eyes as one errant one crested down to trail over her cheek. Hurriedly, Katherine wiped it away, before hiding the motion with a sip from her Jack and Coke. It was a moment later when Dean offered an apology for something, to which she just laughed softly and waved it off as 'No Big Deal'.
When they gathered about to take their shots, Katherine perked up and held up her glass in tribute. On the count of three, she easily threw it back and clicked the empty against the table deliberately. On impulse, she leaned over in between the pair of them to press a soft kiss to each of their cheeks before reclining back against her seat with a playfully soft smirk, her next words the only explanation.
"For luck."

The assault of grape and alcohol on his system was a punch to the face. For a few seconds after he swallowed, he was incapable of blinking. It was just a fact. He could not blink his eyes no matter how hard he tried. He did not know that the forehead muscle had the capacity to tense up like that. Maybe in the case of being hit with a taser, but certain not because of something that you willingly drink! He tried to shake it off, and realized that it was going to take a few tries. A drink from his Black and Tan was actually a relief.
“Oh. I'm ready, Dean. I just wanted to give you a minute to stock up on tissues, since I am going to have you weeping in a corner by the time I'm done with you.” He grinned, revealing that the threat was all in good fun, and just the kind of banter that the two of them were used to.
If his brother was going to strut like a rooster in front of the pretty lady, then Sam was going to prove that he was the better cock of the walk. “Don't mind Dean. He has a tendency to posture whenever given the opportunity. Deep down, he's really just a big teddy bear. A cuddly, stuffed with fluff teddy bear that couldn't hurt a fly.” Still, despite his big words, he was still dropping his puffed up chest act.
He picked up his stick, and took the chalk to it. All being said and done, he still wanted to impress Katherine, and he didn't want it to be in the “you put up a good fight” way. He wanted to win. Plus, it meant earn him some alone time with her, even in a crowd. And then the most amazing thing happened. She kissed him. Granted, it was brief, and it was on the cheek, and she kissed Dean, too, and for the life of him he could not remember who she kissed first, but all of that was beside the point. “For luck” or not, you didn't kiss someone that you felt apathetic towards. It was a fantastic foot in the door, so to speak, and Sam would take it.
An extra pep in his step now, he would take the luck offered to him, and roll with it. He smiled at Katherine, not sure what to say that would make the moment mean more. Their eyes locked for a moment, and he shared genuine warmth with her, something that he was honestly feeling towards her. Something told him that she was a remarkable woman, and he wanted to know so much more about her.
“You already made your first mistake, Dean,” he said, walking around the table. “You're letting me break.” He removed the triangle cage from the table, and took the cue ball to his side of the table, and sent it at the unbeknownst colored balls. It was a fair break, not the best, but he was blaming the remnants of the Purple Nurple in the back of his throat, making its way up to his head, but it put a few of the balls where he wanted them, including sinking the number 4 ball. Looks like he was solids. Tag: Dean and Katherine Count: 554 Notes: Pool and kisses. Good day! Credit: Jax

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Sam though he was going to kick Dean’s ass, and the sad part was he might be right. But he wasn’t going to let Katherine see that, he really didn’t need to look like a loser to this girl. But at the Same time he felt bad because the last thing he wanted was to make Sam look bad ether, but if he wanted to keep his cool it might have to happen. “Oh Sammy don’t worry I have lot’s of tissues, but they aren’t going to be for me brother they are going to be for you.” Dean said with a big smirk on his face.
Dean rolled his eyes at his brother for what he was saying about him, none of it really was true at all. Sam was more like the bear then he was, so he really didn’t know what he was talking about. Dean was about five seconds way from slapping Sam right in his face if he didn’t shut up. “Whatever you say Sammy, but just know woman love to hold on to this teddy bear of a man.” He then looked over at Katherine giving her a wink. “Come on you know you wouldn’t mind me giving you a big bear hug. I‘m I right?”
Then Dean watched as she gave Sam a kiss on the cheek, he knew it she had a thing for his brother more then him. But Dean was ok with it he was just going to have to deal, Sam needed to get the girl every now and again. It couldn’t always be Dean after all, But then she did something he didn’t expect her to do. She gave him a kiss on the cheek as well, and he could lie he like it. She had such soft sweet lips when he felt it on her cheek.
Dean wasn’t make a mistake by letting him break at all, why because he wasn’t the best at breaking them himself so why not have Sam do the work. “Whatever you say Sammy but remember I haven’t lost yet.” Dean then walked around to the other side getting ready to take his shot. When he did he hit the first striped ball that he could get lined up, and landed it right in. “Hell yeah looks like I’m doing well all ready!”

All she could do was laugh.
It was such a joyous sound, one she found herself remembering from better days and brighter paths. Between winks and comments about fluff, all she could do was wrinkle up her nose in delight. Never had she felt more in her own skin than in that very moment; and to any who knew of the girls, never had she looked more like Elena. With her laugh still dancing on her voice, she couldn't help but answer Dean's flirtatious question. "I wouldn't mind in the least. Maybe you can save me one for later?" The way her voiced purred lacked the overbearing song and dance most girls liked to play to get attention. It was natural talent mixed with a predator's perfectly honed skill, and she couldn't help but ruffle her hair to send some of the scent of her pomegranate shampoo into the air. It would call to the more subconscious side of their natures, but she would be a poor excuse for a vampire if she forgot to play with all senses.
It was the look Sam gave her that caught her breath in her chest, ironically enough. It warmed her to the core, and shook the polished act for a few moments. Her mouth fell open, just barely parted, as her eyes widened in surprise. Ducking her head an inch, Katherine felt the desire to spend the blood to blush. Giving in to her instincts, her cheeks flushed with pink; practically it added to the human visage, but it felt wrong not to react. Her heart fluttered against the prison of her ribs as the fine barely visible hairs along her arms stood on end. It had been over a century since someone could stir a reaction like that within her, and Katherine had no idea how to react. It wasn't just feeling like a girl or feeling like herself; for those brief but fantastical moments she knew with a certainty she was the only thing Sam acknowledged in her world. And nothing had ever made her feel that way without going horrifically wrong.
But heaven help her, she didn't care. Not today.
Not with Him…

Sam still felt warm from the look that he and Katherine had shared when it came time to take his turn. It took him longer than usual to find the right angle that he wanted to focus on, and needed the time to get it right. Dean was spending a lot of time calling him “Sammy,” which was another tactic that his brother was using to throw him off of his game. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.
There was something about that last thought in the Bible, though for the life of him, he couldn't remember where it was from or what it was in exact reference to.
"Keep talking Dean," he said, finally finding the next move that he would take, something that he was actually happy with. "We both know just how chatty you get when you are nervous." The crack of the stick against the cue ball accentuated his words, and he sunk the Number 1 ball. Seeing as they were playing one-for-one, though, it was Dean's turn.
After taking the shot, Sam opted to focus a little less on the game and a little more on the girl. Dean lining up his next move and taking his own shot was a perfect opportunity for him to get some personal time with Katherine, something that him and Dean were going to be playing yo-yo with for the rest of this game. She shook her hair, and Sam could not help but admire the way it looked falling over her shoulder and around her face. "Hey, if he gets one, then I get one. Brothers get extremely jealous of each other, and I don't think you can handle my pout."
And then he cheated. It was not the full force of a genuine pout. He, of course, was not feeling shunned or hurt in anyway. Rather, it was a puppy dog expression, large eyes blinking slowly, his lower lip uncurled completely, making his chin and cheeks look almost gaunt. It was adorable and goofy and a low blow in the battle for Katherine's affections.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -That was the truth he did get chatty when he was nervous, he would start talking way to much for his own good. But really he all ready talks to much for his own good as is, so ether way he wouldn’t shut up. “I’m not nervous Sammy I’m just having a good time for the first time in a long time. I mean I got my brother back here with me, a beautiful girl hanging with us drinking some beer, playing pool, so how can I complain man.” Dean said while patting Sam on the back.
He was happy to have him back after all this time, he did miss Lisa and Ben dearly but he really was having trouble going on without his bro. He does hope that maybe one day Lisa will talk to him again, but its less likely that will ever happen for Dean with his luck. She was just having to much trouble dealing with him being a hunter being gone all the time, she wanted him to give it up. And With his life its less likely that it will ever come down to were he can stop and just be normal, that day wont come till he is gone and dead. That is if he ever stays dead that is.
Dean though it was funny how much attention he really was wanting from Katherine, he really must like this girl Which after everything Sam had been threw he maybe did deserve to get the girl this once. So it made him wonder if he should go off for a bit and give them some time alone, after this game that might be what he does. But he couldn’t lie he was having fun messing around acting like he is trying to fight his brother for her. “Don’t worry Sammy I’m sure she has one saved up for you as well. Now come on lets finish this legendary game we have going on man.” he said while lining up for his next shot.

"Hugs around, then. Easy." Katherine replied, voice showing how much she was genuinely enjoying both of their company. It felt fantastic to be out and about without the pressure of a mutual history or the threat of perpetual immortal drama. This, this very mortal normal moment, was fan-freaking-tastic. Perking up in her seat, Katherine whistled appreciatively as both boys continued to dominate the game with a level of precision and skill that had the vampire honestly impressed. Whoever won, she was probably going to have to use her supernaturally enhanced raw attritbutes over their superior talent. And she was still probably going to lose…
When Dean's brow furrowed in thought, Katherine felt her heart go out to him. The romantic pull was still there for both of them; to say otherwise would be an outright lie. But whatever flashed across his eyes looked suspiciously like her own reflection when thinking about the Salvatores, and she hated every second of it. Hopping up from her spot, she brought Dean's beer over to him and placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. She didn't want to draw attention to his hiccup, but she wanted to at least help. And when he went to make his shot, she stepped a pace or two back to get out of his way. Her voice rose to both of them, but the point of it was to help the eldest Winchester.
"I'm glad I ran into you boys, I've had a really wretched day. Good drinks, good times, wiping all of the bad away. Guess I needed this…" She glanced up at Sam, arching her eyebrow in question to his brother. She may have only just met them, and true she did spend a large chunk of time following them around; but the idea of something troubling enough to rear it's ugly head during fun with friends had to be pretty awful. And she hated the very idea. Damn it, I care…

There was something empathetic about Katherine. Somehow, she seemed to know that Dean was going through something right now, a rare ability, if you ask Sam. Dean was also a lock jawed, clammed up person, and he was good at hiding his emotions behind his fun loving, debonair attitude. It was one thing to flirt with Dean when he put up that mask. It was another thing to care about him.
To care about them. Sure, Sam was flirting, and right now he was in pretty good spirits, but he had a feeling that if him and his brother were reversed, Katherine would be just as perceptive, and just as caring. There was a warmness to Katherine that Sam saw in few people these days. Everyone was so hard. They were a bad ass in someway. “I'm a bad ass hunter.” “I'm a bad ass witch.” “I'm a bad ass monster.” To see someone who didn't have to posture like that with them was refreshing. It made him want to keep her around more.
Frankly, Sam was getting to the point where he didn't even want the day to end, to keep this little touch of quiet boys in a bar, this slice of Americana, going until the sun went down.
At a reference to the hug, Sam smiled, and winked at Katherine. His face suggested that he saw the mood that Dean had slipped into, and that he was appreciative for her amazing words of comfort. It always felt good to be wanted. Even better to be needed. "Well, then, I am counting on it! And looking forward to it. And you know what, I think we needed this, too. Been a long few days on the road."
He clapped Dean on the shoulder, playing a little dirty to make him lose sight of his lines. He did it well before Dean took his shot, though, so it wouldn't actually be a set back. Dean could take his shot, Sam wouldn't make him scratch. Honestly, they were even matched tonight. The only way Dean was going to drop this game was if he managed to sink the 8 ball prematurely.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - -Dean hugged Katherine when she asked for hugs all around, he really did think was a sweet girl after all and hoped they would all stay in touch. They didn’t have to many friends or no to many that were in this town, so it was nice to get to know more while there. “You know Katherine I hope we keep in touch, it would be real nice to see you again. I know Sam wouldn’t mind seeing you again. isn’t that right Sammy.” He said smiling at his brother. He knew that Sam had to be pissed saying that, but is was the truth. He could tell that his brother in fact really did like her.
The game was really close Sam and Dean really were neck neck on this game, they each had the same amount on the table. For once Dean really was going to win this game, it wasn’t that often that happened with Sam being the pool man and all. So Dean was happy that he could actually do it. But He wasn’t going to win this Game. He wanted Sam to be able and impress a girl for once like he could. It was a great feeling when you could, Dean would be the best at knowing that feeling. So when Dean went to take the shot he hit one of his balls on the table, and when he did it bummed into the eight ball. The eight ball went in giving Sam the game. “Oh man what the hell! I was so close. Oh well nice game Sammy.” He said trying to slap him five.
He then looked at the clock and knew it was time to get back for some rest, the did still have a job in the morning after all. “Well Sam its getting late I think I should head back to the room, we have work in the morning. ” He then looked over at Jess before walking away. “Oh Jess it was great meeting you again, keep in touch. Take care.”

As the game wrapped up and Dean headed out, Katherine gave a small if slightly sheepish wave goodbye. Whether he was truly exhausted this early in the evening (though if he had work it would make sense) or if it was whatever was bothering him coming to a head, Katherine wasn't sure. But she didn't want to push him, especially considering she thought it might also be a roundabout way of Dean letting her and Sam be alone. Her heart went out to the elder Winchester, and she was grateful that the potential sibling drama had in it's own way already worked itself out. With Dean giving Sam the go ahead when it came to her, Katherine didn't have to worry about the past repeating on her. Though the guilt she felt about not letting Dean know what she was bothered her more than she expected it too.
Looking up at Sam, she tucked her hair behind her ears as she offered a small smile. She was pretty certain he might go off with his brother, but the chance of him possibly staying with her was enough to set her senses alight. Picking up her drink and finishing it in a few mouthfuls, she picked up Dean's pool cue. While she wasn't completely oblivious to the game, Katherine still barely knew the basics. "Do I still get winner? Or should you head out too?" Her tone wasn't too wistful, though it held an edge of hope that the vampire didn't want to own up to. Leaning on the pool cue, hands clutching the top as she pressed against it rather flirtatiously, Katherine tilted her head to the side. No matter what he wanted to do, at the very least she planned on getting his number.

Sam was in the middle of taking a sip from his Black and Tan when he watched Dean sink the 8 Ball. His eyes widened over the lip of his glass, wondering how Dean could have made such a sloppy move. Maybe there was something that was making him lose focus. Or maybe it was that Dean just couldn't be here anymore with the thoughts in his head. The ones that made that sad cloud pass over his face.
He clapped the glass down on the table, the drink about three quarters gone now. Shaking his head in almost disbelief, he walked over to Dean, and returned the high five. It was a moment of brotherly camaraderie, as natural and unforced as breathing. Normally, he would strut his peacock feathers, and gloat at the win, but something in the way it had happened stopped him from doing that. “Dude, the table's totally rigged. I watched it happen. Tilted like a pinball machine.”
He grinned, nodding when Dean said that he was going to bed. Sam considered it for a fleeting second, be realized just how much he was now looking forward to some one on one time with Katherine. He looked over his shoulder back at here, and his smile took on a different caliber. He didn't understand exactly what it must look like, but he could feel a softness pass over his face. “Yeah, don't wait up.” Though his words were directed at Dean, he still didn't take his eyes off Katherine.
Dean went off, and Sam and Katherine were alone. He suddenly found himself wondering what he was going to do. With Dean hear as a buffer, he had someone to work off of. When Dean bantered with him, it gave him a chance to show off his wit. Playing pool, he had the opportunity to show off his skill. Being in the middle of a semi-flirt off versus Dean when it came to Katherine put Sam in a position where he could be flirtatious. Now, alone, he was almost positive that he wasn't going to be up to luster with how Katherine might already be seeing him.
“Are you sure you still want to play?” Sam said, leaning over the opposite end of the pool table from her. He looked at her, realizing that, with Dean gone, she was still flirting with him. He kept the surprise at that fact out of his face, the best he could, and could feel a touch of his insecurity melt away and fly into the breeze. “After all, the table is clearly a set up.”
It was an offer to get out of the bar, to go some place a bit quieter, to actually sit down and talk. While playing pool would be fun, no doubt, he found himself wanted to be a little more secluded with this woman. Of course, if she wanted to stay, he would stay, but he did not want to miss the opportunity to form a little bit of familiarity between the two of them. The day was young, and there was a lot of time to have.

As soon as the words 'Don't wait up' came out of Sam's mouth, Katherine had to resist the urge to jump for joy. Especially since the pair of them maintained incredibly steamy eye contact as he said it. The coil of heat settling in her belly made her actively chose to flood her cheeks with blood and color, giving her that rosy blush fine makeup could never replicate. At the tingling sparks of electricity singing along her spine and down to the tips of her toes was the icing on an incredibly delicious cake. And the mental image of licking said icing off said cake had the brunette momentarily punch drunk before shaking herself to her senses. Licking her lips, mostly subconsciously, the tang of pomegranate both reestablished her train of less lecherous thought and left the pad of naturally dusky skin coated in a brilliant light catching sheen. "Somewhere quieter might be nice." She offered in a soft yet purring suggestion. He seemed to fall more into himself now that the pair of them were alone, and it gave Sam the added awkward edge that had her completely Hook, Line and Sinker.
Strolling over and then past him, Katherine plucked the pair of pool cues up to add to her own before securing them back to the wall. Strolling back over to her purse, she bent in half to pick up the discarded mirror she had left beside Dean's chair originally for him to act gallant should the mood strike him. Instead, it offered Sam a very up close view of some of her more prized assets. Hips to thighs and back again were something Katherine knew she had, though even she couldn't deny the 'childbearing' comments didn't perfectly describe her. And the taut denim stretched taut over her ass left little to the imagination. Thankfully the silk of her panties insured there were no lines to be found while still looking damn good once the denim peeled off. But the thought of just jumping into bed and peeling clothes off to the floor with him seemed, a little cheap. After all, she was no stranger to one night stands, but there was something about the curve of his lips, the lines of his jaw, the kindness in his eyes, that made Katherine want to actually Try with him. So she let a touch of her inner insecurity show in her eyes. It had been years and a helluva lot of pain since she had tried opening up to a man, remembering the Salvatores and their predating beaus of hers left a bad taste in her mouth. But past was past, and he was blissfully new future.
Tucking her purse up and onto her right shoulder, Katherine wandered back over to Sam before cautiously weaving her left arm around his right, tucking herself firmly against his side like any normal girl on the arm of a boy they liked. "I'm game for anything." She cooed softly, looking up through the lace of her lashes to catch his eyes and duck her head shyly after a handful of his heartbeats. Imagine me, acting like the blushing virgin. What is with this guy that has me all in knots? As she glanced down at the ground, a few locks of wavy chestnut hair tumbled past her shoulders to hang and cover her face. And while she could move to push them back behind an ear, she had a momentary panic at how to do so while still managing both her purse and staying curled around him gracefully.
