----------------------- ----------------------- She felt bad that she hadn't told them she was hurt. It probably would've saved her a lot of trouble. Of course, she didn't think about it like that. Jo couldn't stand for either of them to be mad at her and she sure as hell didn't want them to be worried as well. She could take care of herself, for the most part. She hadn't even realized she was tired, exhausted, or even that she was hungry. She didn't know when she'd last ate so she figured that couldn't be good at all. She couldn't remember sleeping either. She didn't feel well, that she knew. She appreciated their help. She hadn't realized she was at the point of losing consciousness by now. She wasn't thinking about the pain and she just wanted everything to be alright. She hoped it would be now and she hoped they weren't upset with her. She looked at Sam. He looked concerned, of course, and she tried to smile. "I'm sorry, Sam, I should've called sooner," she told him, still clinging to Dean. She could barely stand, she felt so weak. She hated this feeling and just wanted to get inside where it was safe and warm. She knew they were both worried and she just wanted everything to be okay. This was not what she had wanted. She didn't want them to make a big fuss over her because she knew she would be okay. In a way, she felt more alive when she was in pain. If that made any sense. She looked down at the ground. She let Dean help her into the hotel room because she could barely walk but she managed to somehow. "Mom would be furious," she muttered, not caring if he heard her or not. She felt like crying but held it in because she didn't want them to see her fall apart. She would be the strong woman her mother had raised her to be, not the shell that she felt like right now. Not bothering to knock on the door back into the room, Sam used his key to get back inside. He wondered if they were going to have to get in contact with the motel manager to let him know that there was another person staying with them now. Some places were really picky about that, and it could be grounds to kick them out.
Come to think of it, it looked like Richmond was a place that they were going to be sticking around for a lot longer than a quick breeze through town. Dean had been spending a lot of time making friends over the past few weeks, and it looked like there was a ton of activity stirring up. Some thing was happening. Sam was not sure how big or little it was, but it was something, and it was going to be a game changer.
It looked like Dean had already settled Jo in for some medical care. She had this look on her face, some pained looked that was more than just the weakness that she was feeling in her limbs, but what was causing it, Sam couldn't really guess. Dean had that look on his face, the “worried that you are going to get seriously hurt.” Was that the look that Dean had on his face every time Sam got hurt? Sam was always too worried about telling Dean to knock off his hovering that he rarely stopped to think that it wasn't because Dean was a brat, but because Dean was more hands on the more he cared.
"All right, let's take a look at that neck wound..." He took the towel, and tucked it into the front of her shirt, like it was a large bib, to catch any extra blood and peroxide that maybe get on her shirt. There was already blood on her shirt, but this looked like the only thing she had to wear right now, so he was going to keep it dry...
Getting a look a the wound, he had no idea how bad it was. When blood coated and dried on an area it always looked worse. He gently tilted her head to the side (if she would allow it) and warned her. "This is going to sting..." He started to pour the peroxide directly on the wound. It fizzed and rejected his advances, and no doubt it hurt, but it would get the wound clean. - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Jo was right her mom would be mad with her right now, but at the same time she understood how much she loved to hunt. How much she had and wanted to be like her dad, but her mom worried so much of Jo getting killed like her dad. Which Dean doesn’t blame her this is a dangerous and she just didn’t want to lose anyone else that she cared about. But in the end it didn’t go well She died right along with Ellen, but some how Jo is back her with them some what safe and sound.
Sam was back with the med kit all ready to take care of Jo, and it was about time Jo was in need of getting that wound on her neck looked at bad. “All right doctor Sammy is in the house, don’t worry he is going to fix you up real good.” He got up of the couch giving some room for Sam to work on her. He was always good at that sort of thing stitching up wounds, Dean always let him take care of him when he is fucked up. Other wise if It wasn’t for Sam it wouldn’t get stitched up, he would just put a towel on it.
Dean watched as he was going to town on what had happened to her, it had him wondering what happened to get her like that. Whatever it was really had torn into her, it made him wish it was him instead her. He could tell poor Jo was in pain juts by the look on her face from him cleaning it. His face cringed when he saw him pour the peroxide on the wound. “I know what can make all this better.” He then walked over to the fridge getting out three beers, he knew that would help with some of Jo’s pain. He handed each one of them a beer. “Here you go some pain meds to make it feel all better.” Dean then popped open his beer taking a big drink, after the day he had it really hit it the spot.

----------------------- ----------------------- It was hard to be so strong all the time and she didn't realize it, but it took a lot out of her. If she was going to be a hunter, then she was going to have to be this strong all the time. Now she knew how her mother felt. She didn't think she could ever fill her shoes though. Her mother was one woman that you just didn't mess with and she was the strongest woman Jo knew. Even Sam and Dean were afraid of her mother, when she was alive at least. Jo missed her mother a lot, which was no surprise considering how close they were. They fought and argued about everything but they were always there for eachother. She hoped it was okay for her to stay here, as she didn't have anywhere else to go. She knew the boys were busy but she was fine with spending her time alone. Jo sat beside Dean on the couch, mentally preparing herself for what was to come. She had a look of agony on her face. She knew they could tell she was in a lot of pain, which she was, and she was glad they were here. Jo watched as Sam came in and tucked a towel into her shirt, which no one else had ever done for her before. She wanted to tell them she was fine so they would leave her alone but she knew that it wouldn't work so she let him help her. She knew it was going to hurt like hell when he poured the peroxide on the wounds and she tried to prepare herself. Though nothing she could do would make it more comfortable or easier. She hadn't taken a look at the wounds but knew that the demon had dug his nails into her skin. It hurt like hell already so she was ready for it to start feeling better already. She just nodded her head when he told her it would hurt, she didn't want to say anything right at that moment. She needed to save her strength. She knew he was trying to help so she was being compliant, even though she wanted to scream. She tried to smile when Dean handed her a beer but she couldn't think about anything but the pain. She would need to rest after this day was through. She took the beer and held it in her hand for a minute. She didn't even have the strength to open it. The towel tucked into Jo's clothes did a good job at catching the peroxide and blood that otherwise might have ruined her shirt. Sam kept a good look at the wound as it cleaned up, keeping an eye on the edges. There was a good chance that he might not be able to stitch the wound closed if it was too ragged. Then again, that was what the surgical scissors were for, if it came down to it.
Luckily, it looked like it wouldn't. The wound might have had a few edges that needed to be cleaned and rounded off, but it would not effect the closure. One more douse of peroxide, and he was ready to take the suture to it. Good thing he was taking the time to get a look at the work area around him. He saw Dean clap down the pain meds, and watched Jo take a swig of her beer, and immediately shook his head in an enthusiastic negative.
"Nuh, uh," he said, taking the pills away and shoving them into the first aid kit before anyone had the idea that it might be a good idea to down the pills with the beer. "No one is going to be ODing on my watch. No booze and pills!" He knew that he might not make any friends with a remark like that. No doubt someone was going to accuse him of being too much of a worry-wort, but the last thing they needed was Jo going to sleep and not waking up all because of a bottle of barbiturates.
That didn't keep him from giving Dean a “what are you doing?” look behind Jo's head, before he started in on her wound with a needle and thread.

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean really didn’t know what Sam deal was, he was just trying to help Jo with the pain. After all she just had came back from the dead how bad could it really be for her. “Sammy she needs something for the pain, plus man she is not going to OD I’m not even giving her that much there I mean come on.” Dean then set the bottle of meds on the table. He walked back into there little kitchen area and opened up the cabinet. He grabbed a bottle of non drowsy Advil. Walking back over he handed Jo the Advil. “Here this wont kill you, but just take two so doctor Kevorkian here is happy.” He said while to Sam while smiling
He didn’t know what his deal was, Jo had needed those pills. Not only was she in pain but she had been going threw a lot, just being back on earth, being confused, and what was worse not having her mom here. Dean knew that really had to be hard for her, being here without Ellen around. Jo and her mom were really close, so he wondered what had to be going threw that head of hers.
He watched as Sam was going at her with the needle and thread, knowing he should talk to her keeping her mind off of all the pain. “So Jo after he fixes you up you can get some rest here with us. You will be safe here with us don’t worry nothing can get you here.” He knew Jo was sacred right now, so he wasn’t going to ask her much on what happened. Not yet at lest but he did want to why all that had happed to her. Dean wanted so badly to find the thing and kill it, which is next one his to do list. "Man Jo just so you know I'm going to kill whatever it was that hurt you, i just want to know they will pay."

----------------------- ----------------------- The alcohol did sting a bit but she handled it very well. Sam was doing a great job cleaning the wound and keeping her calm. She closed her eyes a bit because she knew she would freak out if she saw all the blood. She didn't have a big threshold for pain but she was handling it well. The boys being there did help a lot. She didn't feel so alone anymore. She knew they were both trying to make her feel better and she was thankful they were there. She would need a lot of rest after he was done nursing her back to health. She hadn't even realized she was hurt this badly. She was glad they weren't angry with her or worried anymore. It was a relief because she hated when they were upset with her, she always had. She missed her mother. She wished she was here for her. She was glad someone was but she really needed her mom. She sat the beer down on the table beside the bed. She wasn't in the mood to drink it at the moment. She took the advil that Dean gave her. She was being quiet. She wanted to save her strength. She wasn't worried so much anymore. She was so glad she'd found them. She hoped he wouldn't take so long to stitch her up because she wanted to get some rest soon. She was really tired and all of this felt new to her. "Yes, rest would be good." Tag:Sam, Dean Word count:256 -----------------------

Sam gave off the impression that, while he was a little irked by Dean's verbal jabs at him, he appreciated that his brother listened to him in the end. It was not just the pain meds with the alcohol that they had to worry about here. She had lost a fair amount of blood, and alcohol had properties of some pretty competent blood thinners. It was where the whole “one glass of wine a day is good for your heart” thing came from.
With someone who had been bleeding, though, it meant drugs took harder. While Dean was not concerned about her ODing, however accidental, Sam was worried about it all. He didn't want to lose her. While Dean was the closer of the two of them to Jo, she still held a place in his heart for her. Sam tried hard to not think about the fact that when it came to lasting relationships, with people like Jo or people like Cas, Dean was the brother who formed a closer bond with the people around him. Sam could usually count on making an emotional attachment to someone who was just going to go away. People like Jessica, and Madison, and Ruby, all the psychic kids. Sam always got the “well, I like him, but I am closer to Dean” end of the staff with the people who stuck around.
And he didn't want to think about that right now... he turned his attention to Dean, trying not to let the chord of sudden sadness show in his eyes. Distract him with a joke on his expense... he thought, and smiled up at his fretting sibling. “Actually, Dean, in this scenario, you would be the Dr. Kevorkian, since you're the one who tried to kill her.”
He finished stitching up and dressing the wound, checking over his work one more time before giving her the all clear. “This should keep you going, though you should probably get that rest that you eagerly want.” He took the cloth that he used to cover her clothes, showing that her outfit was still dry underneath it. “See? Not a drop.”
Slowly and quietly, Sam took to cleaning up the “surgical area.” Tag: Dean, Jo Count: 371 Notes: ~~~ Credit: Jax

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - He didn’t know what he was talking about he wasn’t trying to kill her he was trying to help, he knew that she was in a lot of pain right now. The last thing he ever wanted to do was kill or hurt Jo. He is so happy to have her back to the point the wont lose her this time. He cant that take that chance, he could go threw her dying again. He didn’t deal with it well the first time let alone the seconded time. “Oh Sam whatever you say I’m so trying to kill her you know it. At lest Jo knows I was just trying to help.” He looked over at Jo giving her a sweet smile knowing that she knew he was just trying ease the pain.
Dean watched as he finished stitching her up, it was looking a lot better then it was when she first got in touch with them. Sam had it looking a hundred times better. “Well Jo it looks a lot better then it did, but you still are going to have to keep clean and watch it every so often so it don’t get infected. But other then that it should heal fast in no time.” Sam was great when it came to all the medical stuff, there has been so many times that he has ether had to stitch Dean up or put his shoulder back into place he had lose count.
Dean knew that it was getting late and that they should maybe get some rest, Sam and Dean had a job they had to get to first thing in the morning. Plus Jo was really due for some much needed rest. “All right guys well its getting late we should all think about maybe turning in.” Dean then looked over at Jo with a smile. “and you missy you need to take it easy and rest up. You take my bed and I will take the couch.” Dean made his was over to the couch and laid down getting ready to get some much needed rest. He figured after Sam would checked his mail he would be heading to bed shortly as well.
