Faith kicked up the leaves under her feet as she strolled through the cemetery. It was a bit cold out but she didn't particularly mind. It wasn't as if she was a child, she could handle a bit of wind. Her long brown hair was lifted slightly off her shoulders as the breeze hit her. In the waistline of her pants she was keeping a stake hidden. It wasn't that she was necessarily hiding it right now, she just wasn't using it at the moment. The wind was rustling the leaves on the ground as well as making a small noise all on it's own. It was making it a bit different to listen for supernatural sounds, to make sure no one tried to sneak up behind her.
By now it was around eleven o'clock so she knew that more than likely, she was alone in this cemetery. Except for ya know, evil things. So far she'd only dusted one vamp but she was hoping to find a couple more before she had to find Buffy. She had gotten a text from Buffy earlier that day, telling her some quite disturbing news. She had told her that Angel had lost her soul and that she couldn't return to the house. Not only that, but Angelus had murdered the potentials staying there. This was one of the reasons she was out right now. For one, she was pissed off. Slaying seemed to help her feel better most of the time, seemed to help work off some of her frustration. Plus she was hoping that by some miracle she'd run into Angelus.
Of course, Buffy had told her to stay clear and be careful. Right now she was bit too angry to take that warning seriously. If she ran into Angelus, he was going to pay for what he did. Obviously Faith wouldn't kill him though, or she knew Buffy would kill her. She simply wanted to subdue him to prevent him from killing anyone else. Once they did that, they'd bring him to Willow so she could work her magic and re-ensoul him. Earlier she'd responded to Buffy, asking her how Angel had lost his soul. Since she hadn't gotten a text back she was curious as to what had happened. She liked to think that her fellow slayer wasn't dumb enough to sleep with him, but she wasn't so sure. Their love was the crazy kind of love you only seen in movies, so who knew with those two.
So the slayer continued to hike through the cemetery, hoping to find some action. One part of her hoped she wouldn't find Angelus. Then again, another part hoped she did. He was the only man in her life she knew would never leave her. Because of this, she wanted to be one of the people to help bring him back. As she picked up speed she kept her senses aware of her surroundings, listening for anything that might be a vampire. With any luck she'd find something to take her anger out on.Tag: Spike/Open Word Count: 512 Outfit: Click!Notes: ----

Why hang out in a graveyard? Well, Spike could think of numerous reasons. One was that graveyards were quiet and solitary. Well, besides the odd newly risen vampire, but if Spike happened to see one of those, he would happily twist its head off. For all of his trying, it seemed that he couldn’t find a proper fight against anything. He had either been over his head or had it taken away from him at the last second. It was utterly frustrating. Spike needed to fight or drink or screw or scream or do something other than wait. Sure, he was supposedly a ‘good guy’ now, but who the hell expected Spike to be a boy scout on top of things? But no. All he had was the quiet of the graveyard which only numbed the irritation he felt scratching inside him. God, what he wouldn’t give for another chance at Angelus. He had no idea how strong the older vampire was now. Probably stronger than Spike still, but it just felt like confronting Angelus would release this anger and frustration he felt. Hell, probably being soundly beaten again would be better than just sitting and doing nothing. Spike had found a perch on top of a four foot grave. Not really the ideal kind of seating, but it gave him a little bit of a lookout and a little bit of respite. It was just a place for him to stew and it was easier to get out of than a tree. But out of the corner of his eye he saw a bit of movement. At first, Spike thought it might have been the wind, but as he turned his head, he saw a familiar figure, Faith Lehane, the second Slayer. He wondered if she knew he wasn’t dead. Or if she knew he had died in the first place. Well, dead being a relatively inaccurate term here. In any case, Spike couldn’t recall how many people knew or did not know he was back or in Richmond, even. So, he figured that a friendly hello and a little chat was the way to go. After all, Faith was probably one of the only people who would handle this situation like Spike. That being, without the waterworks and more with attempted assault. ”Evening, love,” Spike said from atop the grave once Faith had drawn near enough for Spike to be heard without yelling, ”Fancy meeting you here.”Although, Spike knew exactly why Faith was there. Slayer plus stake in pants plus cemetery equaled vampire hunting. With Buffy running all about over Angelus, it was good that there were other Slayers about to help with the detail problems that could cause real trouble if left unchecked. There were people like Spike as well, of course, but right now, the need for help was great while the body count of the help was in short supply. ”Guess you’ve heard the buzz about town?” The vampire said, hopping down from the tombstone. Buffy probably had already informed Faith of this, but Spike thought he might as well confirm that, ”Angel got a feeling other than ‘gloom’.”+++ TAG: Faith, Open WORD COUNT: 524 NOTES: Absolutely love Faith. <3

The weather was a bit chilly still but she didn't mind. In all honesty, she preferred being a bit cold rather than being hot. Even before she heard someone speaking to her she knew someone was there. Whenever a vampire was near, a true slayer could feel them. They gave off a certain vibe that was unmistakable to anything else. Upon hearing the vamp talk she immediately knew who it was. His accent was undeniably British and one she had heard before. "Spike" she said, turning around to look at him. He was sitting on top of a tombstone, though still close enough to speak to each other. "Long time no see" she said with a smirk. "I heard you were back in the flesh" she then added. They had always gotten along well, a bit too well for Buffy's liking. It seemed that Buffy was a very territorial person. Whether it was Spike or Angel, it made B angry when Faith even so much as looked at either of them. It was kind of funny really. She had to admit, she'd had some sort of feelings towards Angel. They hadn't been romantic however. He had helped her out of a hard time, he was the one to be responsible for her redemption. It had never been anything more than that, though she couldn't deny that she hadn't thought about it. Spike however, that was a bit of a different story. They had chemistry that couldn't be denied by anyone. In a way, they were a lot alike. This fact alone made her happy to see him. She nodded agreeably that she had in fact learned of the news with Angel. "Yeah, I heard he was off the wagon now. Wonder how that happened?" She said with a small chuckle and a smirk. She highly doubted in all honesty that Angel and Buffy had been dumb enough to sleep together. Then again, who really knew with them. Right now she was just hoping that Spike had more information about it to share. Buffy had told her that he'd lost his soul and killed the potentials, but that had been it. She hadn't provided any more information or even texted back Faith to respond to her question. The slayer walked over to Spike slowly and stood next to him. "Wouldn't happen to have a smoke on you, would you? All this shit has me stressed out" she told him, explaining. She then sat right next to him, leaning her back against another tombstone and sliding down to sit in the grass. "Heard he's hopped up on slayer blood too" she added solemnly. "I gotta admit, I'd kinda like to see that" she then said with a smirk. It might not be exactly true, but she said it nonetheless. A part of her loved a good fight. She knew that Angelus would probably be a lot stronger than her right now, but she wanted to run into him anyways. It would be easier for Faith to capture him than Buffy, only because it would hurt B to have to in the first place. Tag: Spike/Open Word Count: 556 Outfit: Click!Notes: ----

But on this occasion, Dawnster didn’t really have much choice. After going having a pretty bleak nightmare involving her older sister Buffy and the others, the dream involved her watching Buffy once again jumping off the tower and dying right in front of her. Then it moved onwards to her seeing a dead Tara lying on the ground with a gunshot wound, last but not least Dawn found herself in a room filled with darkness and the two bodies of her loved ones in front of her on the ground. They eyes moved to meet Dawn’s and spoke words that echoed through out the room. “You shouldn’t exist”; a ghostly image of Joyce appeared between the two bodies, but horribly transformed into the demon that had once captured the soul of Joyce. And as it reached out to grab Dawn, she immediately snapped out of the dream gasping for air.
Dressed in just a grey sweater, waist length jacket, denim jeans and black shoes, Dawn strolled through the darkness as she ducks her hands into her coat pockets. There she pulled out a small torch and pressed a button to unleash a bright light so that her path would be lit, it was there as a safety measure against the darkness that vampires loved so much. As she quietly marched away farther away from home, the Dawn meister began to wonder why now of all things that the past had caught up with her. From Buffy dying to seeing Tara and saving mom from the demon were all behind her now. But because of her nightmare it all just came back to her mind.
She sighed in total disbelief but figured that Buffy always needed a good nights sleep after going out on routine patrol with Faith and the others. So it was just up to her to get it out of her system and then just simply head back and get some sleep, a cold wind gushed around Dawnie causing her to shiver slightly. Despite wearing a sweater and a coat, the night air was really chilly; more questions filled her mind as she pressed onwards. Had she really put the past behind her? Well it was certainly a past that was covered in pain and anguish and sadness, but happiness, excitement and love was also a key part in her past.
But something’s never really change as Dawn once again found herself in trouble. As she quietly looked around her, she noticed that her surroundings were different and was surprised to find out that she was lost and hadn’t pay any attention to where she was going. Her mind had kept herself busy and now stood at a place she barely recognised, luckily the torch light shone over a sign which had letters in a white colour which read, “Richmond Cemetery”, Dawn’s eyes lit up and knew that her only hope lied one man. The problem is that this place was home to vampires and since the sun was down it was the perfect time for them to come out and either wreak havoc on passers-by or they simply hang around and enjoy the darkness which was their home and salvation.
It was a gamble as the man who could help her get back home safely now lived there. With a sigh of nervousness, Dawn pressed onwards and entered the scary area of the cemetery. As she entered here, her memories recalled two funerals, one was of her mom and the other was of Buffy. Each memory of cause was at different times in her life. But it was just a reminder to Dawn that her sister went away for a while and told her to live, thankfully her beloved sister came back to life. Still the pain of losing Buffy simply reappeared as if it hadn’t disappeared. As she walked threw the cemetery she shown the light in different directions and kept her guard up, Dawn wasn’t completely defenceless however as there was the old fashioned running or dodging to escape a vampire’s grasp.
Luck however was on Dawn’s side as she heard a couple of voices nearby. She ducked her head down and headed towards the voices, one of them was definitely that of Spike, a mighty vampire that was like a second father to her. And if it wasn’t for Spike then she wouldn’t be her at all, for it was him that watched over her since Buffy’s death. Of course he did have a rather short temper and a rather unique personality, but little Dawnie trusted him and respected him. After hearing that Spike was back alive, she was so glad that he was back as she missed Spike. Soon she ducked down into some bushes nearby and looked towards the sources of the voices, which was of course Spike himself and of course Faith, which was the second voice Dawn, heard.
A smile crept up on her face and soon emerged out from the bushes and headed towards her vampire friend and her ally Faith. It was good to see Spike again, but knowing him he’d be surprised to see her in the cemetery late at night. Not to mention Faith, who was a second Slayer, this time Dawn was in the clear, as she hadn’t done anything wrong. Apart from walking outside late at night instead of simply just talking to Buffy about her dream, as she stopped before them her smile slowly went down to a tiny smile and spoke with a rather nervous way. “Uh, hey you guys!” She expected either of them to ask what she was doing there, either way at least now she was safe with Faith and Spike. However it was only a matter of time before she got a lecture from Buffy upon return home.

”What can I say? I’m just too damn pretty to be a ghost,” Spike grinned, pleased to see that Faith was pleased to see him. The last time they had really talked was more than a year ago, where they had flirted a bit and fought a bit too. Spike thought it was a shame that they hadn’t met earlier when Faith was in Sunnydale. Although, they were both evil at the time, so perhaps that wouldn’t have worked out well in the end. Spike dug in his pockets and came out with a cigarette wedged between his index and middle finger and his silver Zippo lighter in his palm and handed both of them over. Back in the day, around fifty years ago or so, he would have offered to light Faith cigarette for her, but that was a little passé in these times. Besides, Spike thought Faith was the kind of girl who would probably prefer to do such things herself. Instead, he followed her lead, sitting down again with his back against the tombstone he had just perched on top of. Faith had wanted to know how Angel lost his soul, so Spike figured he could fill her in. He couldn’t think of a reason why Buffy would want to keep it a secret other than she was too pained to talk about it with Faith, who she really was rivals with more than friends, as far as Spike knew. ”Came in a one-two sort of way,” Spike made a small punching motion with his fists to explain his metaphor, ”Angel had a sister who he thought he killed. But it turns out that his sire turned the little bird as well. Centuries pass, and Nibbles is found. On top of this, Buffy and Angel’s old flame rekindles,” At this point, Spike wished that he had a flask or something to drink from. It would have explained the pause that he took better than the real reason. He knew that Buffy was going to move past him. He just had hoped she wouldn’t have moved back into Angel’s arms. Spike gave a little sigh, ”And they decide to ‘get back together’. Whatever that means.””According to Buffy, this made him feel like he had a family. True happiness blossomed and out came Angelus,” Spike concluded. He gave a harsh chuckle at Faith’s morbid interest in Angelus’ current strength, ”He’s something else on that Slayer blood. Drained about five of them. Do you think you could take him like that?” The way he said it was more of a friendly jest rather than a warning, but it certainly wasn’t a challenge. He was pretty sure that Faith and he were about on the same level or so and he wondered how much better the Slayer could fare against Angelus. She would probably play it safer than he did. Spike was going to ask Faith what she planned to do after her smoke, but his head whipped towards Dawn’s voice. At first his mouth nearly hung open, but soon his jaw was tight. He picked himself up from the ground as fast as he could and marched his way over to Dawn as she sheepishly approached them. Spike’s voice strained with anger and frustration and disappointment, ”You bloody little… daft...” He couldn’t even speak, and that was something. With a growl of aggravation, he looked Dawn straight in the eye, ”You know what’s out here, Little Bit. You,” Spike poked Dawn’s shoulder to emphasize his point, “are exactly the sort of thing he’s going to be looking for to put chinks in Buffy’s armor. And she’s got enough to worry about besides you gallivanting 'round graveyards.”With one long groan of exasperation, Spike rubbed his forehead for a second before looking back at Faith for a second and then returned his gaze to Dawn, ”Where’ve you been staying now? The hotel room?” As far as Spike knew, Buffy had gone to get an apartment this morning, so it was possible that she could have pushed through the paperwork and gotten a new place already, but it was more likely that the hotel was still the base of operations since the boarding house had been compromised by Angelus. ”C’mon, then,” Spike said once he heard Dawn’s answer, “Let’s get you tucked into bed where you belong,” The blonde vampire started towards where his car was parked and called back to Faith, ”You’re welcome for the fag, Slayer.”+++ TAGS: Faith, Dawn WORD COUNT: 747 NOTES: Oh, Dawnie. It was definitely nice to see Spike again, he was a friendly face to her. As soon as she seen him she couldn't help but remember them meeting back in Sunnydale for the first time. She'd been in Buffy's body from a switch of her doing. At meeting Spike, she'd told him she would ride him until his knees buckled and his eyes popped like champagne, or some shit like that. It was funny that she thought of it just by seeing him, though she doubted he remembered that. "Hell, you are pretty. Then again I always did enjoy the Brit's" she said flirtatiously. There was nothing going on between the two of them and never had been. However, this was their relationship. They flirted, drank, smoked and killed things. He was good company. As she slumped down against the tombstone she took the cigarette and lighter from him. As she lit it, she took a long drag and then handed the zippo back to him. "Thanks" she said solemnly. She didn't smoke on a regular basis and never really had. From time to time though it was nice to have a smoke or two. Especially when she was stressed out, like right now. She suspected she'd probably end up having a drink or two after patrol as well. Then again though, she was planning on going to Buffy's motel. She was holed up there with Willow and Angel's sister. She didn't particularly want to drink alone, so she figured she'd drink tomorrow. Hopefully she'd run into Angelus soon as well. As Spike went into how Angelus had lost his soul yet again, she simply listened. Taking another puff from her cigarette she couldn't help but notice the disappointment in Spike at Buffy getting back with Angel. Faith actually wasn't surprised to hear this one bit. In all honesty, she had assumed they would get back together at one point or another. She had just assumed it would have been later in life. Once everything had calmed down and Angel wasn't still affected by his curse. Then again though she couldn't really blame them. No one knew if the curse would ever be lifted, so why wait for years when there was no guarantee that it would be? It was a double bladed sword in a kind of way. She nodded when he concluded his explanation. This was definitely an odd way for him to lose his soul, she hadn't been expecting that at all. "God, that guy just can't catch a break, can he?" She said this seriously with a bit of a sad look on her features. She felt badly for Angel. He had helped through the hardest and lowest point in her life and she just wanted him to be happy. Obviously the powers above them all did not yet want him to be happy. It was ridiculous, hadn't he done enough to deserve some happiness yet? He had been protecting the earth for years and years now. Cut the god damn guy lose already. For right now she didn't comment any further on him losing his soul. Honestly she didn't really care to talk about it. It pissed her off. "I think we'll find out" she replied simply. Slayer blood or not someone needed to restrain him and soon. They all knew what a terror and coldblooded killer Angelus was. Who knew how many people he'd already killed so far. Taking down five slayers was no easy feat, whether or not they were trained yet. Still she knew they had to at least try. Faith wanted to be the one to try and take him down. Not kill him, but at least knock him out so they could lock him up. He had always helped her and she wanted to return the favor. After finishing this thought she took another drag on her cigarette, letting it out slowly. She couldn't help but chuckle at how Spike treated Dawn. In a way it was kind of endearing. He was like another one of her many protectors, but in a big brotherly kind of way. Similar to Xander, though Xander hadn't been around lately. "He's right little sis, you really shouldn't be out here alone. Especially with Angelus running a muck" she said agreeably with the vampire. She laughed again as Spike began hauling Dawnie away. It was kind of cute, though she would never say the world cute. She waved to both of them pathetically after taking another drag on her slayer. When Spike yelled back about the cigarette, she lifted it as a salute. "Thanks again" she said with a small smile and a chuckle. She figured she would finish her cigarette and then continue on patrol for a bit. There had to be something she could kill in this cemetery, there just had to be. Tag: Spike/Open Word Count: 846 Outfit: Click!Notes: Way to ditch Faith in her own thread, LOL.

It was always nice seeing Spike, time and time again the big bad had always looked over her shoulder and protected her from different types of nasties, and if he didn’t then there would always be a round of kick the spike. And now just like before he was doing his very best to protect her, did he do it just to stop Buffy from giving him a beating? Then again Buffy finally got close to him. Faith however was a different story, this gal certainly knew her stuff, Dawnster didn’t know her that well but she was there when Buffy needed help against the First. However she soon found out from a rather angered and disappointed Spike, Dawn was prepared for it but she quietly appreciated his concerns. He was always like an uncle to her and was more strict then Buffy, still he was a good man and Dawn respected him and thought of him as a member of her own family.
She did however wonder what Spike was talking about. His voice spoke of anger, but yet it was also filled with concern and even warning, He even pointed his finger gently into her shoulder, Dawn’s eyes looked towards her shoulder and then back to Spike. Something had happened and it whatever it was it sounded bad, he even asked her questions about where she was staying. Noticing that Spike was being really serious, Dawn immediately responded in a worried like tone. “What? Uh yeah but why Spike?” She soon spoke the room number of where she was staying, but her face turned to disappointment as her friend Spike soon decided to take her towards his car.
Luckily Faith revealed what her ally was trying to say, it was indeed a dire time for her to get lost especially when Angelus was back, this made Dawn feel quite nervous. She heard a little about Angel as her sister Buffy used to go out with him. But this Angelus seemed like a big problem, especially when it was causing Faith and Spike to be so concerned; Dawn sighed in complete nervousness and called out to the big bad. “Come on Spike! Can’t I stay with you guys, just for a little a while? I…I promise to do everything you say! I’m really sorry for being here you guys. I had a rather not so cool nightmare and I couldn’t get to sleep, so I decide to walk it off and head back. But I kinda got myself lost”.
Her head lowered down to the ground in utter regret. Once again he she was causing problems to Buffy’s friends, and speaking of Buffy! Boy was she going to be mad at Dawn for this! She didn’t even know Angelus was back, let alone who this Angelus was. Nobody kept her in the loop, despite this Dawn still offered to help Buffy. Sometimes Dawnie even began to think that she was cursed with bad luck, but she could at least tell Spike about the nightmare, which now plagued her mind. Her voice was filled with sorrow and pain that had now once again filled her heart and soul. “In my dream I saw Buffy…going away again. As well as Tara and mom, and that shadow like thing that attacked my mom”.

It was a bit concerning that Dawn hadn’t heard about Angel turning back into Angelus yet. She was probably among the easiest targets that Angelus could take and use to weaken Buffy. Spike knew that Buffy was already devastated enough having to fight Angelus again, and she did not need to feel like she failed in protecting anyone, especially her own sister. But then again, he wondered why Dawn didn’t know, since he was sure that Buffy had called or texted everyone she could. She had even texted him not knowing if Spike was in the area or not. Perhaps Dawn hadn’t been checking her phone. But in any case, Spike needed to make sure Dawn would be safe. And yet Spike slowed down on his dash to his car as Dawn gave her little pleas. He finally ground to a halt and looked behind himself, seeing the young girl reluctant to follow him quite yet. With a small sigh, he walked back to her, staring at her a moment, wondering exactly what to do with her. Spike gently reached out his hand and gave Dawn a soft pat on her head. She was probably much too old for him to do that, but she was still rather child-like in some ways. Well, Spike had always prided himself for being straight with Dawn, so he was going to continue that. And her being out here to clear her mind of a nightmare was a little better than her deliberately looking for trouble, so after a bit, Spike finally rolled his eyes a bit and said, ”Alright, then, we’ll chat a bit. But then I’m taking you somewhere you can’t become a bit of nosh.”The vampire turned back to Faith, who was still working on her cigarette, giving her a look that read of ‘Help me listen to the little lady’s plight. Please.’ He wasn’t sure the Slayer would stay, but Spike felt that her company would be a boon to them, not only from a protective standpoint but to keep Spike from lecturing Buffy’s little sis too much. He didn’t want to be the stuffy type, but he also wanted to keep Dawn safe. He probably would have been much less concerned to see Dawn out if there wasn’t such a possibility that she would be killed. But in any case, right now it seemed like the little thing needed company more than anything else. And as she described her nightmare, Spike understood why she had been so upset. Dawn had dealt with a lot of deaths in her short life. They were difficult deaths of the people closest to her. Spike could understand that. Spike went back and sat down around in the same spot he had been before, patting the grass on the other side of him to ask Dawn to sit down. ”Listen, poppet. Buffy isn’t going anywhere. And Tara and your mum are at rest. No one can hurt them anymore.“ Spike didn’t know if what he was saying was necessarily true, but he was relatively sure. It’s what he wanted to believe anyway. Although he didn’t profess it regularly, Tara and Joyce had always been two people that didn’t judge him on being a vampire, which Spike appreciated. Now, that nightmare shadow, Spike didn’t quite remember what that was. It could have been a literal representation of a spirit of something or it could have been some sort of dream metaphor for a big bad. He didn’t really want to press the subject though, since Dawn was becoming more despondent and teary-eyed at the minutes passed. He gave a little defeated sigh. Spike had traveled out this way to avoid more Summers girl’s tears and they followed him all the way here. There wasn’t much to be done about it now though, ”Anything else on your mind, pet? Since we’re having a little therapy session here?”+++ TAGS: Faith, Dawn WORD COUNT: 652 NOTES: ~

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •Angelus was a dangerous individual and doesn't hesitate to kill or use ruthless tactics against his enemies. Dawn only heard rumours about Angel, but she never heard of the evil side that lurked within his soul. It was obvious that it was certainly bad news according to Spike and Faith, she had no idea that Angelus was just as dangerous as Glory or the demon that had her mother’s soul. Her faith within Buffy was stronger then ever and knew fill well that she could take on anyone, if she defeated an immortal being then Angelus would a walk in the park. She felt disappointed, as there was still the telling off from Buffy to come after she went back home. As she drew closer to Spike's car Dawn wondered what Buffy would say, however her thoughts soon stopped as Spike had turned around and walked up to her. Was it something she said? A warm feeling however soon appeared over her as Spike had gave her a gentle pat on the head followed by words of honesty, this made Dawn feel safer with the big bad once again watching her back.
A smile appeared on her face, which was filled with gratitude and appreciation. In response Dawn looked into his eyes and voiced her honesty and thoughts for Spike allowing her to talk to him before they headed back to the hotel. "Thanks Spike" She could feel her confidence growing slightly as thought a candle had been lit within her soul once more. Again Spike was like an uncle and she owed the big bad so much, there was just no other way to thank him, it was lucky that her sister Buffy had such a strong ally within Spike. And it looked like Buffy needed help more then ever, this made Dawn feel a bit guilty as it only brought Buffy more trouble, she didn’t want that to happen. But with her busy on patrols and the others asleep she decided to walk her troubles away.
But it only got her in trouble once again. In fact Dawn decided to tell Buffy what she did and just own up what happened, she watched Spike as he walked back towards a spot and sat down while he patted a place next to him. Dawn smiled slightly and marched over him and sat down with her knees pointing upwards, a smile soon turned to anxiety as her the memory of the dream came back to her mind, quietly she listened on Spike’s kind hearted words as he tried to make Dawn feel better. Deep down she really appreciated his words; Buffy was the only family she had left apart from Spike of course. Except for her dad and at the moment she hated him for leaving mom for his secretary. She didn’t want to lose Buffy again, especially when her sister wanted to watch Dawn grow up into a powerful and beautiful woman.
With sadness looming over her very being, Dawn sighed in and quietly spoke her worried thoughts. “Your right Spike, Buffy wont go down that easily. I mean she stopped Glory so there’s no way she could lose to this Angelus guy, I just don’t her to go away again Spike. You, Buffy and the others are the only family I have”. Tears swelled up in her eyes and gently dropped down to the floor, she figured that Spike couldn’t handle something like this, so Dawn simply sighed and wiped away her tears using her hands and sighed. Speaking what was on her mind actually made her feel a lot better, and with Spike asking Dawn if there was anything else on her mind and about their talk being a therapy session Dawn smiled slightly.
Now was the time to talk to him about anything in particular. And there properly wasn’t going to be another chance to actually speak with him, she looked up towards the starry sky and began to think. In fact there was still the other part of the dream about discovering a dead terra and later defeating a demon to free her mothers soul so that she could rest, with another sigh Dawn spoke again in honesty about the dream. “I miss Tara so much, we had such good times together. And then I came home and saw her lying on the ground; another person I loved is dead. Then there was that demon freak that had my mom. It tormented me, but I had to free her so she could rest. Afterwards mom told me that Buffy wouldn’t choose me but she would be against me”.
Fighting a demon like the one who took her mother’s soul was a big step for Dawn. But she had to fight in order to free her mommy, luckily a book had just the very incantation to destroy the beast and also cut from her battle with the beast she stopped it and saved her mom. She could still see the light, which shone over Joyce, when she was freed from the demons’ evil grasp, but was confused with what Joyce was telling her. However Dawn now understood what her mother’s warning was, her mom trying to tell Dawn that the First Evil’s army was coming and that Buffy would betray Dawn by having Xander take her somewhere safe. Buffy and the others believe it was simply the First Evil toying with Dawn’s mind.
But she believed that it was really Joyce herself who had warned her and not the First. Dawn kept it hidden with her heart, and only hoped that her mom would continue to watch over her and Buffy, with another sigh she turned to look at Spike and wondered what he was going to say about Dawn’s words that was filled with worry, despair and sadness.

The slayer couldn't help but crack up a bit at the site before her. Spike was acting as the fatherly figure, shooing away Dawn from any potential danger. As she had expected Dawn dug her heels into the ground and begged to stay. She chuckled a bit at the situation in general. Seeing Spike like this was kind of endearing. Sometimes he tried to seem like he was still a billy badass but right now, he wasn't putting on a show. He really did care about Buffy's little sister, quite a bit actually. The two of them had always had a good relationship. It was almost like he was a uncle figure? Giles had always been her father figure, and Xander had taken the role of the big brother. That left only an uncle for Spike, though he played the role rather well.
It seemed as if Dawn was looking for Faith to jump in and help her but she said nothing. Right now she definitely wasn't going to get involved. Plus, she didn't think Dawn should be out here either. If Spike allowed her to stay, they would both have to be on constant guard and watch her. Faith would never let anything happen to her, but it sort of sucked to be tied down. She tried to shrug it off; this was part of being on the good team. Even if sometimes you were pissed off and wanted to slay a bit and blow off some steam, sometimes you had other responsibilities. These responsibilities she was faced with was the hardest part of her redemption thus far. Other than earning people's trust back, which she hadn't exactly succeeded in doing yet.
After a few moments, she heard Spike tell her that she could stay for a little bit. She wasn't surprised; Spike couldn't resist Dawnie's pleas. He had grown very attached to the girl since Buffy's death against Glory. She watched as the vampire walked back and sat next to her again with a defeated look on his face. "Can't help ya there" she replied to his look, raising her hands as if there was nothing she could do. She wasn't going to get in between the two of them, it was quite entertaining listening to them argue anyways. Dawn's nightmares were pretty understandable if anyone actually knew her. The girl had been through in awful lot during her lifetime. Between her sister being a vampire slayer, losing her mother, then losing her sister, having her sister come back, fighting the first and seeing tons of people die, yeah. Not only all of these things, but being the key on top of all of them? She had to walk around everyday knowing that she was made out of Buffy by some monks. That her blood had been the one to open another dimension, a hell dimension at that. It had been the same one to kill her sister. Faith couldn't even imagine how growing up as Dawn would have been, but she knew nothing in her life had ever been easy. Now that the slayer really thought about it, Dawn was pretty damned normal considering all of the above. Most people who even dealt with half of those things would have landed themselves in the loony bin, she had to give the girl credit. The look in Dawn's eyes hearing of Angelus broke Faith's heart. Alright well maybe it didn't break it, but it hurt nonetheless. No matter what all she had been through she was still only a girl. "It's that Angelus can beat her, Dawn...It's that -- " she said, stopping to think about how to correctly word this. "It's that Buffy, well, she's let her emotions get in the way of Angelus before. Ya know, she doesn't want to kill him or she loses Angel too. With the two of them getting close again right before this...we -- we're just worried about her, is all." This had probably been one of the worst explanations the slayer had ever given. She had barely even stumbled through, let alone made sense. She looked to Spike then, hoping that he would elaborate and even word what she'd said a bit better. Hearing Dawn speak about Tara, she froze. The way that she spoke about her was as if..she didn't know she was alive? What the hell? Faith had run into Tara a few days ago in town and they'd eaten together. How the hell did Dawnie not know? Had she not been around? Faith took a deep breath before scooching over closer to Dawn. "Dawn...y -- you don't know? Tara's back. I ran into her a few days ago" she said softly. Hopefully the young girl wouldn't be angry for not knowing. Faith was only the messenger in this situation, she just hoped that no one minded that she had told. "Her and red must not have made their rounds yet" Faith added, trying to console Dawn for not knowing. Taking one last long drag of her cigarette, she pushed it into the ground to extinguish it. Well, this was awkward. Tag: Spike/Open Word Count: 888 Outfit: Click!Notes: Or not, LOL! • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •The situation involving Buffy and Angelus seemed bleak. But Dawn had faith in her sister that she could stop the evil maniac and dust him good. And with people like Xander, an unstoppable Willow, Faith a second Slayer, and Spike to aid Buffy, there was no way Angelus was going to get the best of this super team. Or so Dawn believed, she wondered why Spike and Faith was so worried about Angelus. He was just one vampire while Buffy had many powerful friends by her side, besides if Willow can produce a shield that is strong enough to stop an army. Then where was no doubt for a fact that Angelus would be toast even if he got past Faith, Spike and the others.
She simply figured that Spike and Faith were worried for nothing. These thoughts made Dawn feel a lot better, besides every enemy Buffy had faced were all defeated. There was no doubt in Dawns mind that everything was cool, still it felt nice to be able to express her feelings about the nightmare. It wasn't long however before Spike would take her back home, she agreed with Spike that Buffy was there to stay.
It was nice to also talk to Faith as well. After all she barely knew her, but Dawn felt grateful for her coming to help Buffy train the other potential Slayers, and she even remained by her sister's side even after the destruction of Sunnydale. She had a rather different personality to Buffy's but Dawn was glad to have someone like her on Dawn's side. The word potential ringed in her mind as it brought her back to when she thought that she was a potential Slayer due to the spell by Willow which happened back before Sunnydale was gone.
Dawn felt incredibly confused, a little scared and excited. Xander, Willow and Anya was really ecstatic to learn that Buffy's little sister was a potential Slayer, after all Buffy did that that she and the Dawnmeister shared the same blood. However it was all a big mistake and it was really Dawn's new friend who was the real Potential Slayer. It was disappointing to Dawn that she wasn’t one of the chosen, however Xander revealed his gentle heart and taught Dawn that you don’t have to have powers to be extraordinary.
Xander's words touched her heart and made her realise that she was actually do her very best to help Buffy and boy she need all the help the Slayer could get. Right now she turned her focus away from the starry sky and watched Spike and Faith, Dawn smiled as Faith refused to help Spike out with their so-called therapy talking. However Dawnie's face turned to a worried look as Faith revealed something about Angelus, was he really that strong to even defeat Buffy? And hearing about her emotions made Dawn realise that her sister did used to go out with Angel. So Angelus and Angel were one in the same.
Dawn looked down on the ground and sighed. Things were now going from bad to worse, Angelus was Angel and Buffy was in dire trouble. Buffy's feelings were strong and this made Dawnie realise that Angelus could prey on Buffy's emotions and eventually defeat her. However she clung onto the thoughts about Willow and the others, looking over towards Faith she spoke to the second Slayer with a focused voice yet worrying tone. "Y, Yeah your right, but what about you guys? I mean this Angelus is just one guy. Surely you guys can team up and stop him or even capture him in some way? Maybe Willow can do something. She isn’t an uber witch for nothing". There no doubt Willow was a very powerful ally and friend to Buffy, her spells and wisdom of the ancient arts could very well be the defeat of Angelus.
Something else caught the young teen’s eye. Faith had also mentioned that Tara was back, how was that possible? Dawn had come upon her friend’s dead body, then again Buffy returned to Dawn. And Faith didn’t seem like a gal who would joke about stuff like this, hearing that Tara was alive again made young Dawnie feel extremely happy. Was this Willow’s doing? She didn’t care how it happened, as long as Tara was also back in Dawnie’s life, much had changed since the last time she saw Tara. And now she did some growing up. With a sigh of relief, she smiled and replied with excitement filling her voice. “I can’t believe it! I gotta see Tara! Uh tomorrow I mean” Dawn replied with a smirk on her face. She couldn’t wait to see Tara again and tell her everything that had happened, but first she had to think about Angelus and Buffy. This made her feel really worried about her older sister, only time will tell.

Faith just shrugged and said she couldn’t help him. Well, that was bloody brilliant. It’s not that Spike really expected the Slayer to be a mom-of-the-year type. Just maybe say a nice word or two rather than having Spike be the only parental-ish figure. But she remained quiet and Spike reassured Dawn. It seemed to work fine. But somewhere in the back of his mind, Spike knew that Faith was probably getting a kick out of watching him like this. Spike just hoped that no other vampires were watching. He could let down his Big Bad image with friends without feeling too weak, but letting news circulate in the demon community that he had a soul AND was a soft-hearted nancy boy was unallowable. Not that he really cared what anybody thought of him. Really, the main problem was holding onto real estate when demon after demon wanted to challenge you for it because they thought you were weak. When Dawn began to talk about Angelus, it made Spike wonder what memories were exactly placed in her mind when she was created. When Angelus was first released from his curse, Spike could remember how pleased he and Drusilla had been. Spike had been evil then, after all. But now he could kind of imagine the torment that Buffy must have gone through. Had Dawn been ignorant of that somehow? Was it something whomever made her just forgot to put in? It seemed strange to Spike that the monks would just glance over a very important part of Buffy’s life. Perhaps Dawnie was unaware that her sister was the Slayer for a while. Well, Spike certainly didn’t want to discuss Buffy’s feelings for Angel, and therefore, Spike felt a bit of relief as Faith began to explain why Angelus had such an advantage over her fellow Slayer. There was no way that Spike wanted to touch that with a ten-foot pole. However, Faith’s explanation was a bit messy and she looked to the vampire to add something to it. Spike gave her something of a sour look but when Dawn still didn’t seem to get the gravity of the situation, Spike knew he had to explain further. A moment passed before Spike’s uneasiness about the topic wore of and he thought he could talk about it. ”Dawnie,” Spike let his head drop back to lean it against the cold stone slab behind him, ”Do you remember when Willow’s magic took her over? Do you remember how hard it was for Buffy?”Spike gave Dawn a little glance to see how intently she was listening. He was trying to make a point, after all, and his tone was still soft but a little more serious than normal. Faith had tried to show Dawn the severity of the situation and Spike was going to make sure the young girl understood, ”This is much worse. Because Angelus is out specifically for Buffy’s blood and…” Spike couldn’t bring himself to talk about Buffy and Angel’s feelings for each other. Besides the obvious reason of his envy, Spike also thought it would be most appropriate if Buffy was the one to explain that to her little sister. Perhaps there was another way to do this, “This is like if something evil got in Buffy’s body. I couldn’t kill her. Neither could you. That is what the situation is.””But Buffy isn’t just going to roll over and give up, either. There’s a way to stop this without any killing, and that’s what she’ll do.” Putting Angel’s soul back in him was the one ray of hope that they had, after all. And Dawn was right that it was going to be a team effort that brought Angel back, ”Willow and all of us will see to it too.”Upon hearing that Tara was alive, Spike turned to Faith and opened his mouth as if to say something, his eyes betraying his confusion and disbelief. But Spike soon turned back with a little sigh of amazement. Well, at least Willow knew and would be happy. He had been out of the country when Tara had died and he had never properly acknowledged it. Perhaps he felt a little guilty, even though there was probably nothing that he could have done. But he had nothing really to say on the subject, and even if he did, he would probably be competing with all of Dawn’s questions and excitement. And sure enough, Dawn was thrilled, but kept her questions bottled up for some reason. Spike knew they were in there. Well, maybe he could say one thing on it then. ”Well, if Miss Doe-eyes is alive, it must be for a reason,” Spike gave a soft little grin, ”Y’see, Little Bit, you can’t get rid of any of us for long,” Although he said that in a playful tone, he immediately regretted it. Spike didn’t know if that really applied to everyone, and with Dawn’s worrisome dreams about her mother, Spike didn’t want to give her any ideas or hurt her feelings. Damn it. The vampire cleared his throat and tried to change the topic back. After all, it was important to make sure that they never needed to bring Dawn back, ”The thing is, we do have a plan on how to deal with Angelus. And part of that plan is making sure that you, and the rest of the research lot are safe and not getting teeth sunk into your pretty white necks.”+++ TAGS: Faith, Dawn WORD COUNT: 916 NOTES: Uncle Spike… kinda has a ring to it.

If she really thought about it, this situation was kind of amusing. Here she had thought that she'd go out and release some steam, kill a couple vamps, get drunk and go home. So far she hadn't killed much and then she'd run into Spike. This wasn't such a shocker considering that he was a vampire after all. Plus, he enjoyed killing a little demon ass from time to time as well. The amusing part was Dawn. The slayer's human little sis had been strolling through the cemetery this late at night, because of a dream? Who does that? It was just strange. It seemed almost as if she'd known they would be here, but how could she? Faith didn't tell people her whereabouts. She was in adult and she didn't need anyone to babysit or protect her. Spike was an adult and could handle himself as well, so she doubted that he'd told anyone he was coming here.
So why in the hell had Dawn chosen a cemetery over all places to go take a walk through? Sure she'd been training in fighting but it was still dangerous for her to be here. Whether or not she was trained, she was still only human. Well technically she was actually a mystical key. But as she still considered the key if Glory wasn't around any longer? Faith had been in jail during Glory's reign but she had heard murmurs about it after she was out. She wished she could have been around during this time. Faith knew she couldn't have beat her alone, but she would have wanted to get her hands on the goddess. It definitely would have been a good fight to say the least.
The young girl's voice carried in a worried tone, to which she couldn't blame her. Although she didn't know for sure, it seemed like Dawn didn't know anything about Angelus. It struck her as unusual that Buffy hadn't briefed her little sister on what was going on. "Yeah, no, we'll get him. The problem is what he's already done by the time we get him..." she said, her voice trailing off into a quieter tone. Who knows how many people Angelus had already slaughtered. They for sure of five slayers and if he could so easily accomplish that, god only knew how many civilians he'd murdered. Angelus was definitely a force to be reckoned with. With slayers blood in him? It seemed like it would be a daunting task. It wasn't one they couldn't handle, just one that would take a decent amount of work and effort. Originally she hadn't been sure if she should tell Dawn about Tara or not. Seeing the girl's face light up and her smile grow wide, she was glad that she'd chosen to tell her. "I'm sure she can't wait" she said with a smirk. It sounded kind of mean, but hopefully Dawn understood her by now. She wasn't trying to be mean or rude. Honestly, the girl had grown on Faith lately since they'd been around each other in the last few weeks of Sunnydale. It was simply Faith's personality and she hadn't meant it to be rude. Surely the girl would realize this. At least, she hoped. She didn't want to bring down the girl's excitement. Spike had seemed to be quite shocked to hear this as well, Faith hadn't even known that Tara and Spike knew each other. Back when she'd first been alive, Faith had only met Tara once. It had been when Faith had been inside Buffy's body, after she'd made the switch. Unfortunately Faith hadn't been a very nice person back then. In fact, she'd been a downright bitch to poor Tara. Luckily when she'd seen her the other day and had lunch, the witch had forgiven her. She didn't want any bad beef with anyone. Hearing Spike's playful comment, she noticed the immediate regret in his eyes. Awkwardly he changed the subject to something else, though she hadn't picked up on why. Faith nodded to Spike's plan agreeably. "Which is why you shouldn't be strolling through cemeteries this late at night." As she said this, she tilted her head to point to Dawn. "B would kill all of us if she knew you were out here" she then added. The wind blew by them as they all sat there, sending a chill through the slayer. She should have probably thought to bring some sort of jacket with her. As she stood (or sat, rather) right now, she was only in a tank top. As the wind hit her skin she felt goosebumps coarse through her. In an effort not to be so cold, she wrapped her arms around her and rubbed them briefly. Right about now she felt like smoking another cigarette just to keep warm. Tag: Dawn, Spike, Open Word Count: 834 Outfit: Click!Notes: This post kind of sucked, my bad!

• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •• • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • • •Just being there with Spike and Faith, made Dawn feel really safe. The two were incredible fighters and if an evil big bad tried to attack, well lets just that it’s not a good idea. Then again it was not an idea to get yourself lost at night, especially when a killer like Angelus was loose. Buffy was so going to freak out in the morning; at least Dawnie volunteered to tell her sister what happened. And there was no doubt that a lecture followed by a grounding was practically guaranteed, at this moment in time she was more then happy to remain in her room, just to help Buffy.
Angelus certainly was bad news to Dawnster. But good news brought excitement to her heart, Tara a young witch was alive once again and she can once again enjoy spending time with her. Seeing her and Willow together had always excited Dawn, and with Tara now being back, it was just the very good news that she needed. Tara was like an aunt to Dawnmeister, when Tara died, it was the final straw that turned Willow into the evil scary Willow.
Dawn admitted that she was scared of Willow after dark magic had engulfed her humanity. However it all turned out ok, ending with her friend back to who she was and the world was saved, not to mention Buffy wanting to show Dawn the world and everything she had seen. However she snapped out of remembering the past as Spike explained in great detail about the time Willow had turned black, and used Buffy as an example. She understood that he had to explain the situation to her. And boy it didn’t sound good!
With a loud gulp Dawn looked towards Spike, with a look of concern and replied with a deep worry for her sister. "Oh! That’s not good, not good at all. But like I said, she has you guys, Willow, Tara. What I am trying to say there’s strength in numbers. So you’ll nail this Angelus guy! But you’re right Spike. If that every happened to Buffy, I’d just couldn’t hurt her. Nor would I know what to do if that happened” She said the last few words while shaking her head in full confidence. Her sister was the entire world and if Buffy would travel down the same road that Willow once took then it would catastrophic. Right now all the Dawnster could do to help her sister was to follow Spike’s advice about going back home to sleep and then tell Buffy what she did. She couldn’t help but smile as he said that it was going to be hard to get rid of him and the others, especially Buffy.
But it did made her think about her mom and the dream. At least Buffy had help with her friends, skilled and courageous fighters in Spike and Faith, powerful witches in Willow and a returned Tara. Finally there were of course the other Slayer potentials and the amazing knowledge that Giles had. Everything was going to be just fine, Dawn at the other hand thought so too. Deep down she couldn’t help but miss her mother and had regretted all the bad times she had with her mom, she didn’t say anything but she did put on a small smile on her face and nodded in appreciation. It was hard not having her mom around and now Buffy was her mom and her older sister,
Faith was also a huge help and didn’t know that Faith had a gentle side to her. The words that she spoke simply reinforced Dawn’s confidence. Having two Slayers on the same side was a force to be reckoned with, especially with Spike and two powerful witches to aid Buffy, what could go wrong? Then again whoever said those very words, always had something else go very wrong. In her young mind, there was no way this Angelus guy could stop Buffy and everyone else put together. When the second Slayer spoke about Dawn being her in the graveyard, guilt was seeping into the teen’s heart. She did however agree with everything Faith had said and immediately she nodded to her and spoke in a serious but focused way. “Y, Your right! It’s definitely not cool for me to be here. Tomorrow I’ll tell Buffy what happened and just tell her that you guys stayed with me until you brought me back to the hotel. That way you guys wont get blamed by Buffy”.
It was quite a different for Dawn to tell Buffy about something she did. For example just before she saved her mother’s soul, she played around with her sisters cross bow and accidentally fired an arrow into the wall. Luckily She covered the hole that was left by the arrow with a plant to hide what she had done, in this situation Dawn would just be honest to Buffy. Looking over at Faith Dawn smiled at her and spoke honestly. “You know Faith, you’re pretty cool. You too Spike, but guys can you promise me to watch Buffy’s back?” The teen simply wanted reassurance that her sister had the support needed to take down Angelus, but Dawnie could only place her trust and faith in her allies to ensure Buffy wouldn’t go away again

Dawn seemed to understand the situation a bit better now. And in other ways, she made it a bit simpler than it actually was. Well, perhaps it was Spike’s relationships to the keep players that made the whole mess more difficult for him in comparison. It was frustrating that he couldn’t really talk about it without tripping over his words and that he had to reach for examples from the past to explain it. He supposed Faith was having the same set of problems or close to it. But Spike’s allegory got the job done, more or less, and Dawn accepted it with worry and hope. It must be nice being an optimist like Dawnie. Faith, on the other hand, was much more of a realist, and probably knew what Angelus was capable of. The truth was, nobody knew how many people Angelus would kill. Sometimes he liked a long chase and other times he just wanted to have a bloodbath. It was funny and kind of cute that Dawn wanted to protect Spike and Faith from Buffy’s wrath. It was true that she often didn’t want to take the blame, but in this case, Dawn was being ‘noble’. Although, Spike was a bit unsure as to how exactly Buffy would react. Under normal circumstances, she would probably be miffed. With any other big bad, she would be furious. But since this was Angelus on the loose, who knew? Spike gave a little grimace, but said what he figured would happen, ”She’ll probably want to pop our heads off no matter what we say,” In fact, if it were up to Spike, he wouldn’t say anything at all. He had seen the amount of stress Buffy was under and one more thing like the threat of losing her sister could push her over the edge. Reflecting on that, Spike supposed she might be over the edge already. Spike’s fingers drummed on his knee to funnel some of the irritation he felt building up. He kind of didn’t want to think about Buffy right now, and he certainly wanted to stop talking about Angelus, even if it was important that Dawn knew the dangers about him. Spike couldn’t help but give a little chuckle at Dawn calling him and Faith ‘cool’. But as she asked him to promise to protect Buffy, he sobered a bit. ”Always,” He said without any hesitation. However, the feelings surrounding that were a lot more complex than his answer was. Still, Spike pushed those thoughts away and continued slowly tapping his fingers across his knee. The vampire noticed the cold wind curling through his hair and wondered if Faith was freezing. The Slayer really was dressed more for a club with lots of warm bodies around rather than a graveyard. Spike thought about slipping off his classic duster and tossing it over to her, but he would have to deal with it going over Dawn and getting it back would probably be a whole ordeal. And Spike was a badass, or at least wanted to be perceived as a badass. Spike was pretty sure badasses did not go around giving their jackets to people. So instead, he went with feeling just a little guilty. If the Slayer needed something, she would ask. Probably. ”Right, then. If we’re all in agreement that boneyards aren’t suitable for midnight nature walks, are you ready to nip off to bed?” Spike probably sounded more annoyed than he actually was, but facts were facts. Even with Fatih and Spike with her, the longer Dawn was out, the more likely it was that she would be attacked by anything, not just a bloodlust filled vampire. Not wanting to seem too strict, Spike attempted to be a bit more good-humored as he said, ”You know, there’s this handy thing called a cell phone. You ring someone up and talk to them from where you won’t get eaten.”“I got one now, you know.” Spike pulled out his phone and dangled it in front of Dawn’s face, ”Marvelous modern technology for the dashing bloodsucker in the know.””By the way, what’s your number, love?” The blonde vampire directed that at Faith with just a hint of flirting and a cheeky smile. Spike would feel awkward going all out with little Dawnie right there, but a little bit wouldn’t hurt, ”I have a vacancy in my ‘drinking liquor and killing evil’ department that needs to be filled.”+++ TAGS: Faith, Dawn WORD COUNT: 741 NOTES: ~
