---------------------------- ---------------------------- Sam smiled at Faith as turned to him and agreed to help him get Dawn out of the cave. It was better them than Buffy at the moment because she was busy and who knows what they would find in that cave.Sam just hoped Dawn was still alive. He looked over to Dean to see the little red head fighting to get free from his grip, Dean was a strong man so it would be difficult for a her to get free. He than turned his gaze to Buffy and Kennedy... There was blood being shed by humans, what a terrible day when humans turned on each other. He shrugged it off and followed Faith as she cleared a path with ease. It was very impressive in his mind but Sam couldn't be focusing on the hot girl in front of him he needed to focus on saving the girl before it was too late if not already too late. He shook his head a little bit and dusted a couple vampires. It was very strange how the vampires were not attacking like they usually would it was some strong magic going on to keep some blood thirsty vampires at bay.
Faith called back to him asking if he was coming and he nodded catching up and staying some what close. He watched as she kicked some major vampire butt, and he couldn't help but to look at her butt as well. Since Sam had lost his soul he had become more of a man whore than his older brother something Sam never use to be like that. He was more of a quiet guy who let his brother do all the womanizing. Shaking it off he continued on his way, killing come vampires who broke through what ever spell was cast on them and tried to eat them. What a world it was now. Vampires and Demons, other creatures of the night... It was crazy and it would take a lot more Winchester Brothers or slayers to take down the evil that was consuming the world.
It didn't take too long to get to the base of the cave, now they had to get around it without getting caught. Who knows what Kennedy had up her sleeves which is why he had Faith with him, she was strong and he could admit that. He respected that actually, to have a woman be able to protect herself it was nice. Sam sighed a little "Ok so when we get around we will go in but I think it would be wise if you stayed closer to the opening encase something comes in for a little visit that way we can grab Dawn and get out and not let Buffy see because who knows what will be left." He wasn't trying to be really bossy he was just trying to protect them, and Buffy from seeing what might be a tragedy, though if it was bad it could fuel her though if it was bad enough like Sam guessed it was it might just break her, break the concentration and get her injured which is not what they wanted. Than again he was wasn't Buffy so he didn't know how she would respond, just want to be safe than sorry.

---------------- ---------------- Kennedy Marie Johnson smirked.
She had done it! Damn her leader would definitely be happy with her. She had plans for all of the rest of them but at the moment she simply wanted to relish that she had actually defeated the world’s strongest slayer. Many had tried…demons, vampires, gods, and all sorts of others out there and yet none of them had succeeded. Even when the blonde bitch had died she had always come back before of one technicality or another. The first time had been when the dumbass vampire who was so unfittingly named ‘The Master’ had drowned her…hello? Does he not know that a drowning victim can be revived by CPR? Well apparently he realized that when she kicked his ass. Anyway, the second time couldn’t even be really counted as being killed because the pretentious bitch when and jumped into a damn portal in order to save the world…effectively killing herself. Even then precious Willow still found a way to bring her back.
That was the whole reason that she had made sure to kill her a human way. She knew that if she had killed the blonde in a mystical way there was a chance that Willow would bring her back. However a knife in the chest definitely was the way to do it. Either that or a gun but as Warren had found out (oh yes, Kennedy had definitely done her research) that’s not always effective either.
Unfortunately her thoughts were cut off when she heard the voice from her damn nightmares come up behind her. Before she could register what they said she felt the cold metal of a knife pressed into her back and her eyes widened when she realized the implications of it…and down she fell.

---------------------------- ---------------------------- Dawn awoke hours later though it seemed to be decades. She was bleeding badly, there was actually barely any left in her she was dying... Slowly and painfully. Dawn's body was cut up, she had broken ribs, legs, arms, almost any bone one could name it was probably broken. Her skull was cracked open in different places. She hung there her crimson blood dripping down her body into a puddle of her own blood. It was a scary site to see really Dawn was probably unrecognizable at this point except maybe her eyes which were big and shining only because tears were swelled up in them running down her cheeks. Moving a little she grunted in pain. This was going to be just about impossible to get out, even if she could get loose from the chains that held her up on the wall there was no way she would be able to leave. Dawn was broken and she was going to die alone... Scared and alone. Her heart sank maybe Kennedy was right. Dawn was worthless and maybe she should just go back to being a ball... A ball of what? Gas? Energy she didn't even know but it would be better than this at least with that she wouldn't have emotions and she wouldn't be a bother to her sister.. If she could even call her that any more.
Dawn coughed out some blood, it was hard to stay awake but she needed to hold on just a little longer. There was noise just out side the cave maybe if she tried with all her might she could call them over. Looking around there was no sign of Kennedy. Taking a deep breath she went to speak but instead she just let it out with a painful sigh. What was the point really no one wanted her and why would they she wasn't real. Nothing about her made sense she didn't even have a real past, it was hard to cope with. Shaking the thoughts away Dawn frowned, what was she talking about she was a Summers! Related to the slayer. Dawn may have been originally just a ball of energy but she was given the chance to lead a human life and Dawn would be damned if she didn't fulfill this chance. Once again she took a breath and yelled out with all her might "HELP!! PLEASE SOMEBODY, anybody...." It hurt a lot for Dawn to speak but she at least had to try, trying was her best bet even if it didn't get her far she would at least not give up without a fight!
With one last attempt Dawn cried out again but only found herself choking on her own blood and vomit, she was in so much pain and she was almost dead. There was no energy left in her body, barely moving her head fell backwards as if she was looking up at the sky though all she could see was rock. Drifting off again into the blackness that would soon consume her entire body. She felt cold and numb as she hung there naked and bleeding her last drops of blood, knowing that the last thing she would see was cold cave rock with her blood spattered on the walls. Kennedy's 'toys' spread out everywhere either broken or just laying in more blood... Who knew one person could hold so much blood, luckily she wasn't normal. Her chest rose and fell softly as she tried to suck in the air around her feeling as if she was going to suffocate. Dawn needed help, and she needed it now!

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -She hated to do it, but she knew she had to end this. She didn’t want to be the one, but at the same time she knew that it had to be her. Sure she could have let Willow do it…after all Willow had killed someone once before, why not let her do it again? Same with Faith, and she knew Faith would have done it if she would have asked her to. Hell she could have gotten Spike out here (from wherever he was at the moment) and he would have had no problem taking care of the brunette slayer…but no…this was definitely her fight. She knew that after this was all said and done she would have a hard time dealing. She knew that and yet somehow she still knew that it had to be done. There was no rehabilitation…no jail…no nothing…just her duty.
She could easily remember a similar conversation only a year or so ago with Xander. The circumstances were different but the feeling of utter duty inside her was the exact same.
There are other options. I've considered them. When? Just Now? Took you all of ten seconds to decide to kill one of your best friends? The thought that it might come to this has occured to me before. It's occured to you, too. But we can change what she did. Fix it. These are mystical deaths, right? There has to be something. Xander, I know this is hard for you to hear...but it's what I have to do. Hard for me to hear? Buffy, you wanna kill Anya! I don't want to! Then don't! This isn't new ground for us. When our freinds got all crazy and start killing people, we help them! It's different. Because you don't care about her the way that I do. Buffy, I still love her. I know, and that's why you can't see this for what it really is. Willow was different, she's a human...Anya's a demon. And you're the slayer. I see now how it's all very simple. It is never simple.
It was true. Death was never simple…never. There were times when the coming of the death could come off as simple, but the act of death and the act of murder was never simple. Even though she was doing what she was doing to save people, it was still murder, plain and simple. She would never be able to hold herself to the same standard she had once before, and at the moment she was alright with that. If she didn’t do this then there would come a time when she regretted it. Giles had killed Ben because she couldn’t bring herself to do it…but there was no one now that could take the blood off of her hands. It was her burden, and she took it willingly.
She felt the knife hit bone and she watched as the slayer fell. She sank down to her knees and she sat next to her. Turning her over and she wasn’t at all surprised when she saw the brunette’s eyes still open. She grabbed on to the other slayer’s hand and held it tightly. She knew that other one couldn’t move, as where she had stuck the knife in her back had essentially paralyzed her…but that wasn’t why she was holding her hand. Even in death, even evil, the two slayers had been sisters at one time, whether they admitted it or not…and as she watched the brunette’s eyes close…Buffy’s tears fell.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Willow stood there still next to Dean in shock, Buffy had really done it she had stabbed her. Willow watched as the one she once loved was on the floor bleeding to death. As Kennedy laid there Willow watched her die in pain feeling like she should do something, but at the same time felt like she was getting what deserved. Kennedy brought this all on herself by messing with Willow’s family like this. She should have known this was going to end well for her, Kennedy knew what Willow felt for her family and how she would do anything for them. So what was she even thinking really. Willow could tell that this was it for Kennedy, Buffy had paralyzed her from were she was stabbed. Willow watched as she laid there taking her last breaths, She didn’t know weather to be relived or sad that the person she once loved and truly cared for was gone. Willow could tell that this was not something Buffy really wanted to do, by the way she sat down next to Kennedy holding her hand. Buffy had done the one think she never really wanted to do, kill someone, something Faith did that Buffy could not. Why couldn’t Buffy just have let Willow take care of it so she didn’t have to feel all this pain, Willow should have been the one to do it, after all it was her girlfriend that caused all this. And Willow had all ready been down that road, she knew what it felt like to take a life. Breaking away from Dean Willow slowly finally started to make her way over to Buffy, not even knowing what she was going to say or do. Buffy had to have a lot of things going threw her head right now, Willow didn’t want to say or do that would make Buffy more upset right now. Right when Willow was getting ready to say something to Buffy, she had gotten up and was walking way from Kennedy. As Willow got closer to her on the ground, she decided to kneel down next to her. Willow looked at how she seemed so dead and lifeless, just like how she been acting. Willow then whispered something to her quietly as she was laying there, “I’m sorry Kennedy but you shouldn’t have messed with my family, it had to be done." Willow didn’t even know what know what to say to her anymore. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------Faith really didn't like how Sam was talking. She knew at some level that he was right... that for all they know Dawn was in ribbons dead on the cave floor and they'd never make it in time no matter what but for some reason it just angered her how indifferent he seemed to be. Now wasn't the time though, it was time for Dawn. "Lets go giant," she said, taking the time to even put up a little remark about the nearly foot difference in height between the two. Yeah... she was just that awesome.
The thing of it was... the cave. As she started to travel towards where they assumed Dawn was... the more she got this odd feeling. It was strange... she didn't see any demons or vampires around them. It was rather unsettling. Though she was could attribute this to Kennedy's arrogance it seemed unlikely there would be no guard for Dawn. Of course what need was there to guard a dead body? She pushed the thought down, trying to allow for positive thoughts to flow.
She didn't look back at Sam, charging on ahead towards Dawn. If there were any kind of guards around she hadn't run into them so far... key word was so far. She didn't even run into any vampires yet. "Man how big is this cave?" she muttered more to herself than to Sam. It was pretty ridiculous... I mean this cave didn't really look this big on the outside. Could be that stupid magick crap... or more likely it continued underground or something.
It wouldn't be to long until they reached Dawn... hopefully still alive. The girl would need help after all... she would be alive! I mean she wasn't a Slayer or anything but she wasn't a slouch either. Heck she could probably take some of the potentials even with how much she's picked up. B's little sis was all grown up... but still a child. She had to grow up... she'd do whatever she could... since the one thing she wished she could do for Buffy the most was kill Kennedy so she didn't have to... but it had to be Buffy... saving Dawn would just have to do.
There she would be... there would be Dawn. It wouldn't take long for both her and Sam to see what happened. Dawn... shackled to the cave. Blood everywhere... shallow cuts and probably some bruising. The girl... unconscious. For normal people it would be pure terror... vomiting would be the first instinct for anyone else. These two however... that wasn't likely. The first priority was to see if she was alright after all... still alive at least. I mean how could she ever truly be alright in that condition? -----------------------------------------
- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean still stood there with anticipation happy the bitch was going to be done once and for all, she had gotten her good too. With the way Buffy had stabbed her there was no way she getting back up alive. Buffy had taken the knife deep with in her back, you could see the blood slowly spilling out down her back. Till finally Kennedy had fell hard to the floor, she had to be done for. Dean could tell though this was really something that Buffy didn’t want to do, but it had to be. Dean couldn’t lie even though he felt bad for how Buffy was feeling, he was happy the evil bitch was dead for good. Dean would have done the same if this had to do with Sam, he would have killed her any without thought.
Dean could tell that Willow felt like she was in shock as he was holding her, he could feel her jump in his arms when Buffy had stabbed her. She was happy to see that Buffy had won, but at the same time it almost seemed like she wanted to cry inside. Killing someone you once loved isn’t easy, but sometimes it has to be done weather you like it or not. Dean wishes more then anything that Sam hadn’t jump in the hole to hell, but if he didn’t Lucifer would still be walking among as killing the world. So if Sam hadn’t jump in Dean would have had to push him in to his death, whether he wanted to or not.
Willow finally had broken from Dean’s grip and was making her way over to Buffy, Dean could tell that Buffy was taking this pretty hard. He could tell by the way she was down by Kennedy’s side, Dean knew he should just leave Buffy alone right now. He could tell that a girl like her really didn’t like taking a life, he felt bad for Buffy and wished he could do something. But nothing he would say or do would make it any better. Dean had made his way over to Sam and Faith to see how the girl was doing. So far she didn’t look so good, but on the bright side of things was she was live and that was all that matter. “you guys all right? How is she doing?” Dean asked.
- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The blonde slayer let her tears fall for a few more seconds before she heard the footsteps of someone coming towards her. She had spent a lot of time learning how to differentiate footsteps that she heard, so she knew just by the sound of them that they belonged to a woman…a small woman. They were light but heavy at the same time. She had a feeling that the footsteps belonged to Willow and at the moment she really didn’t want to get into it. She knew there would be time later for her to allow herself to break…but right now there were other things to do.
Before her best friend could kneel down next to her the blonde stood up, her body language clearly stating that she had other things on her mind. She wanted to comfort Willow in some way, allow her to feel the grief that even though Kennedy had brought this on herself, that she knew the red head must be feeling. Unfortunately right now her mind was clearly on her younger sister, and that was all she could focus on right now. The blonde took one more look at the fallen brunette slayer and turned her back on the scene, not being able to look at her any longer.
She walked into the cave and caught up with the others. She took one look at her sister and tears filled her eyes but she didn’t let them fall. She swooped the brunette up in her arms and turned her attention to the two men and her sister slayer. “I have to get her home.” She stated, her voice void of any feeling. “Sam, Dean, can you please take care of Kennedy’s body. Her family doesn’t know she’s alive so there’s no one to contact…I just can’t…” She trailed off, before turning her attention to Faith. Her eyes showed her misery and she knew that her sister slayer would understand. “You can either help them or come home with us…I wont give you orders.” She stated before turning her back on them and heading back towards the scene. She didn’t stop to talk to Willow, didn’t stop to take another look at the fallen slayer, she simply headed towards the cars, needing her sister to be okay.
Then she would grieve, then she would make the call to Giles that she was desperately afraid of making, then she would continue on…but for now…her sister was who mattered.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Willow still couldn’t believe that it had came to this, Kennedy having to die and all. In a way Willow was starting to maybe feel like she was jinxed, because of her Tara had died once, and now Kennedy. Even though this was a way better reason then losing Tara, Willow still felt bad that it had came to this. Willow really never likes to wish death on anyone, in less it is need to be. And with the way Kennedy was being towards Willow family it had to be done. Now that it was all over and done with, Willow was kind of happy Buffy had taken care of it. Even though Willow did feel bad for Buffy having to go threw with it, the pain of killing her. Because now that she thinks about it, Willow doesn’t know how she would feel about killing the woman she once loved. It probably would eat her deep inside, even though Willow did want to kill her for what she had done. But as always that was just Willow dark rage trying to coming out again, a part of Willow she has to keep controlled. Which did happen but Willow couldn’t have done it with out her best friend Buffy, who she will thanks everyday. Right now Buffy was pretty stressed which was why Willow was backing off for now, she would thank Buffy way later. Willow then got up from Kennedy body and started to make her way over to the rest of the gang, she over heard Buffy telling Sam and Dean to clean up the mess. Buffy was taking Dawn back to the house. “Buffy I will go with you and make sure Dawn is ok, in less you need me to do something else.” Willow said to Buffy waiting for orders. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------From what Faith could tell Buffy wasn't doing so hot. Then again she wasn't sure now was the time to help her. This was time for family and that was Willow and them... not her or the boys. The second Slayer instead went to help with the dirty job. As much as she wished she could help her sister slayer there was nothing she could do right now. Right now Buffy needed to help Dawn and be with her little scoobies.
What Faith could do was help get rid of the thing that Buffy had destroyed. Actually to be more frank the woman Buffy had been forced to kill. This wasn't like with Faith, who had killed a man mistakenly that as far as they knew really was good. This girl was evil... but she was still human. Buffy would face a long, and rather hard road in front of her because of this choice just like Faith had and Willow had.
She looked at the boys, "You two gonna just stand there or help me out?" She was really not in a happy mood... then again was anyone there really in a good mood? They had been forced to kill a rather strong Slayer who had turned. Given time Kennedy had what it took in the long run to be a good Slayer but she had turned and they lost a potential asset as well as been forced to kill one of their former own.
It was awful, but now wasn't the time to dwell. Faith had to keep strong because she knew the front Buffy was putting up wouldn't last long. She could already see it fading away and it was something she just didn't need to deal with now. She looked down at the body of Kennedy before turning back to Sam and Dean. "We're gonna burn it," she said taking charge. It was a warriors death but to be honest it was rather safe. If there was no body it was so much harder to resurrect the dead or turn it into a zombie or something like that. And in this line of business that seemed to happen more than it should. -----------------------------------------

- - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - Dean could tell that Buffy was pretty upset, but who could blame her she though her sister was going to die Dean would be just as freaked out if not more. Dean watched as Buffy picked up Dawn, he could tell the poor girl really was in pain. Buffy then looked at Sam and Dean and asked if they could take care of Kennedy’s body. And before Sam could even give an answer Dean said, “Don’t worry Buffy you just get Dawn home to safety and we will take care of the rest. You can count on me that it will all be taken care of.” Dean then looked at Sam giving him look letting him know were doing, this whether he wanted to or not he didn’t have a choice.
Dean really was getting sick of Sam, he wasn’t even really listening to what Sam had to say anymore. Without a soul he wasn’t making the right choices or doing the right things anymore, he pretty much wasn’t even Sam anymore he was just some ass hole that was there. Then as Dean was standing there Faith called over to him, waiting for some help. “sorry Faith we are ready, lets get this bitch out of here.” said Dean.
Dean and Sam walked over to the body, they both looked down at the Dead rogue slayer. It was sad really how the girl had to go, but maybe if she wasn’t such a crazy bitch Buffy wouldn’t of had to ice her. Dean couldn’t lie thought it was pretty cool they way Buffy had kicked her ass, but Dean does feel bad for the pain she was feeling. Faith then looked at the two guys and said they were going to burn it. “Sounds good to me lets do it.!” Said Dean Dean put to together all the Sticks for the body so they could burn it over it, Dean has done this so much he pretty much was a natural at it. Dean then walked back over and said, “Ok its ready to go.” Dean and Sam helped Faith pick up the body, the placed on a bunch of sticks ready to burn. Dean then took his lighter out of his pocket and threw it on the fire, it was final now the bitch was gone. “Burn Bitch Burn!” Dean said as he watched the fire.

- - - - - - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - -The blonde slayer continued her way up the beach until she got to her car. She knew that Willow was following her but she chose to not say anything. She didn’t want her red headed best friend to think that she was mad or upset with her, but at that moment she couldn’t think of anything but her sister. She knew she would break down later, she knew she would need time to grieve as well as most likely she would need her best friend’s shoulder to cry on…but at that moment what mattered was Dawn…and Dawn only.
She heard Willow’s footsteps behind her once she hit the pavement and heard her voice shortly after saying that she would come with her unless there was something else she wanted her to do. For a moment, simply a split second, she almost invented something for the red haired witch to do only to avoid having to talk but she knew that wasn’t right or fair so instead she simply shook her head. Once reaching the car she lifted Dawn a bit away from her. “My keys are in my pocket.” She simply said and waited for her friend to reach in her pocket to grab them. “You drive…I’ll sit in back with Dawn.” She stated, not really giving her much of a choice in the matter.
Once the car was started and had pulled away from the beach, she was finally able to take a deep breath. At least she was away from the scene of the crime so to speak, though she could still remember in vivid detail everything…and she had a feeling she always would. She could feel her friend’s eyes on her from the rear view mirror and she met them without a thought. “We’ll talk later. I just need to get her home.” She stated before exiting the car once it came to a stop.
It was a night she would never forget…and not in a good way.
