Annie just let out a sigh. Clearly this guy would never understand anything. So why even bother? He must be some kind of mentally handicapped. No one could be that slow and idiotic without having some kind of something. Depression did not make people dumb. At least not this dumb. So calling her little girl did annoy her, for she was far from a little girl. But it was hardly enough to get her full force. It would only add to the fire once that fire was started, but it alone would never start anything. So by calling her little girl, was only going to make it harder on him in the long run. That or it would cut his life short. But he seemed to want it. And she was not about to give him what he wanted. Death was a way out. She was not going to give him that out. He'd have to suffer like the rest of his kind. And for him living was the suffering while dying was what most people feared.
Annie could not help but crack a smile, when he pointed out their lack of friendship... again DUH! Annie had no friends, nor would she ever be friends with the likes of him. But still it was funny how he felt the need to point that out. She was CLEARLY being sarcastic. But his mental illness was getting in the way of him understand the simplest of things. Ah well. Sucks to be him. Still though his anger amused her. He was not fine.... he seemed to think he was just fine. So long as he was away from people... which mean very few things. To her it was a sign that he was not all that he appeared to be. Which was great. She might just do her job and ride this world of another self loathing monster. Shoot even if he was human and craved blood, like that Dexter guy on the TV. Still, a monster was not always supernatural. Sometimes the biggest monsters were humans.
"Win what? This is no competition buddy." She added, again, figuring if the friend comment got him upset the buddy might do the same. "If you don't like my attitude, no ones stopping you from leaving." Annie added. "Though if your itching for a fight, then by all means stay and I'll show you how close we can get." Yep. threat. Why the hell not. He wanted a fight, he'd get himself a fight. He wanted to walk, she'd not go after him, she'd just let him be. It as always his move. She would protect herself, but she would not attract. Not until he made a move. That's what she tended to do. They strike first, its a fight for your life. She'd justified in killing no matter whom it was she killed so long as they hit her first so to say.
Annie shook her head putting her knife back where it belonged. She just let out a sigh, as he leaned on his little stupid tree, like he knew something. No shit she was hurting, but in a far different way. She did not hate herself, she loved herself. She loved how she could handle her own shit, how she could take care of herself, how no matter what she'd survive. She liked the cards she was dealt currently. Sure her past was shit, but without that she'd never be the same girl, so she accepted her path, she may not like it, but it was whom she was, and that was just fine. The pain she felt was gone, she had a future to look forward to if she could only get there. So her goals over looked her pain her fear her doubts. She got over it. He was sulking in his. Big differences there.
"Wow. You just don't understand do you?" She said with a sigh as she turned her back to him. Something you should NEVER do. But it was her way of saying, she knew no matter what he tried, she'd win. You never turn your back on an opponent. You turn your back on the weak, the hopeless. That's really what he was. He was beyond being saved. He was already dead. Why fight a dead man? It was a wast of everything. So she'd let him live his life in isolation. Hating himself. That was just fine. So she just kind of walked off. If he followed she'd ignore him. If he attacked she'd fight right on back. But any which way, she realized he was helpless. Anyway she had better places to go. She did not need such negativity in her life.
